Three gripping psychological thrillers with satisfying twists. All with a 5-hour countdown that had me literally breathless towards the end of each book, as the final minutes ticked down. The last book has a particularly poignant and relevant theme in the suicide of young people, but all three books have fantastic characterization, pathos and lots of humour. Strongly recommended.
First time reading anything from this author and really enjoyed this set of three books, also enjoyed the links between characters I’m the first and second book. Enjoyed the writing style and how the chapters came together. While I enjoyed the third book I found the ending a little confusing, as to what happened to the girls and why they wasn’t seen? But defiantly enjoyed looking forward to reading more from this author and have just downloaded whatever happened to Betsy Blake which I’m assuming is a follow up to one of the stories in this set.
This trilogy was brilliant from the very first to last page. David B Lyons is my new favourite author. I love how you can watch his video at end to find out what his spoilers were. The last book was the only one I didn’t click what the ending was until he explained it. Definitely worth reading every book is a page turner.
Working my way through the books of DBL and loved this trilogy. Each story stands on its own but I loved the back references in books two and three to previous storylines. Highly recommend this trilogy and any others by this author - great writing style and character engagement
I read all 3 book of the trilogy in one day. I was hooked from the beginningof Mid-Day to the end of the Suicide Pact and couldn't put them down.. All 3 are full of suspense from start to finish with surprise twists that I just didn't see coming!!
