This is the second book in this series and this is Wyatt Jackson and Clover Sullivan's story
Wyatt was once the new boy on Clovers father (Colorado) Seal team now he is the oldest member and the leader of his own team He was there to support Clover when she lost her father on a mission and she was there for him during the loss of his son to cancer and the break up of his marriage She has always loved Wyatt but her father warned her that he had built walls around his heart walls she may never break The funny thing is that everyone knows that Wyatt loves Clover after all he has warned them all away from her. When danger stalks Clover Wyatt will step up to protect her using his team to keep her safe and in the process those walls will start to crumble Can he finally admit what she means to him and give his heart to the one woman he will love forever. This is only a shortish story but it packs plenty of punch read it you won't be disappointed

Who wants to get rid of Clover?????
Another fine addition to the world of Susan Stoker from an awesome author. Wyatt is a a Navy Seal and a little broken after he lost not only his little bit to illness but also his wife. Clover runs her late father's bar and does some singing whilst there. A successful song writer she starts to get threats delivered to her home and business so Wyatt and his team jump in to help protect her. Chris is the manager of the bar but boy did he give me the creeps. The threats ramp up and one of the team is injured as Clover is kidnapped. Boy does the excitement and anticipation ramp up from there as we find out who, what and the why of the threats and kidnapping. I wasn't disappointed with this book at all. It had everything and my favourite man..........Tex. Great story, characters and boy at the ending. Can't wait for more.

Nothing is quite what it appears in this quick read, as the truth twists and turns and doubles back on itself. I love how strong and independent Clover is. Throughout the book, I got the impression that she probably could have handled the whole situation all on her own, but that it was nice having help. Wyatt frustrated me at the same time as he broke my heart. Past tragedy has him protecting his heart from experiencing the same pain ever again, so he spends a lot of time behaving like a prickly jerk. One of the things I really appreciated about this book was the way the age gap between Clover and Wyatt is handled. It isn’t treated as an insurmountable obstacle, but it also isn’t swept under the rug and ignored.

I love books where the author throws out breadcrumbs of clues that all make sense right at the end, and you think, OMW she said that! How did I miss it! And this is one of those books. The blurb has the story, but what it doesn’t have is a sense of how well these characters are written and how the reader feels part of the worlds that Jen Talty writes in. The villain in this story is another of Jen Talty’s best; a villain that has truly lost their sanity. And, to make a great story even better, we have Cookie and Benny from the SEAL of Protection series. Oh and the epilogue – much needed light relief!

Clover Sullivan is a talented singer songwriter and restaurant also the daughter of Wyatt's deceased Seal mentor.
Clover is nothing if not resourceful in her seduction of Wyatt but he is determined to keep her in the friend lane. But when Clover starts getting threatening letters and gifts.Wyatt takes charge of keeping her safe, but when things gets worse will get the chance to make things right with Clover.

Clover is ready to try to seduce her man. She's waited for Wyatt. Wyatt despite loving her, just wants to protect her and thinks she won't want a SEAL as a boyfriend. Clover receives a threatening package and Wyatt steps up. At first I thought Chris was the bad guy but wasn't completely correct. Clover manages to seduce Wyatt but he is running scared. When Clover is kidnapped, Wyatt and his team come to the rescue with their friends. After Clover is safe, Wyatt wastes no time in telling her he loves her and they become boyfriend and girlfriend which quickly evolves. The true bad guys were a surprise. I would definitely recommend this book.

Clover had I known Wyatt for a long time, but when he got back from this deployment she was going to seduce him. What she hadn't planned on was getting threatening packages and kidnapping plots. She and Wyatt have barely gotten together before they are having to call the cops. When Clover is taken Wyatt finally decides to tell Clover his true feelings.

Loved this book. There was plenty of action, surprises, love and heat toward the end. Clover was a singer/songwriter, her father was a Seal who had been killed in action. Wyatt is older and was a friend of her fathers. Her mother is a real prize. Someone is stalking her and threatening her. Will Wyatt and his team be able to protect her. HEA.

I did enjoy this story. It’s super quick. There’s a lot of push,pull between Wyatt and Clover. There’s a bit of suspense. It takes a big struggle to get them to their HEA.

Clover had a great story!
Clover has a stalker and Wyatt and his team come to the rescue. Some steam with plenty amounts of suspense and action. Wyatt was a great character and fought against his feelings. A couple of twists. Great story!

I didn't give this book 5 stars because the author didn't do a wrap up about what happened at the end, that drives me crazy. I love a look at the characters future and what happened to the villa is in the story, it just felt rushed and incomplete.

Protecting Clover is the second book in Talty’s Search and Rescue series and it is an engrossing story with lots of excitement, danger, emotional turmoil, surprises, a twist (that I did not see coming!), romance, and a wonderful HEA. Wyatt and Clover are fantastic characters and the storyline is fast-paced and riveting, and the bad guy(s) is just wow – creepy and a total shocker! Talty also adds Tex, Cookie, and Benny from S. Stoker’s SEAL of Protection series to make this wonderful story even better with a blend of these awesome characters, too. This is a great read not to miss!

I loved Wyatt and Clover's story. Very suspenseful and action packed. Kept you guessing till the very end, I was surprised to see who the bad guy was. Loved it!

Hearing about Wyatt's past and his loss shatters your heart, but you are hoping with every page that he sees the true gift he has in Clover. Will he come to his senses in time or will Clover being in danger just reinforce his fear of love?
