It's perhaps my favorite Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter along with Running on Air. It is amazing. I find extremely captivating the "ambience" the author has put in Harry being an Slytherin. He almost doesn't fit anywhere. Dumbledore, Sirius, the Weasleys, even Hermione that are supposed to be people who love him— his family, don't trust him only for his Hogwarts house. In the Malfoys he doesn't fit for obvious reasons. It gives a new light on the character, a more crude and realistic (and almost depressing) one and I totally love it.
Draco, too, is amazingly written.

This is the first story I read with Harry in Slytherin, I know there’s many out there but I thought this one wasn’t bad.
We get to see Harry from 3rd year, being a Slytherin and having Draco as his best friend.
It obviously evolved to love, or is was always love but then they became lovers? While reading this fic I got the feeling that Harry and Draco were inevitable, inescapable, and I liked it.
Many things changed from canon, different people die and others that died in canon stayed alive.
What I liked the most though, was the magical theory. How house elves are explained is magical in a way that the Harry Potter world is not. Also, sentient houses! How they are born, how their magic is the same and different from the owners. Lovely!
Almost forgot, Pansy is the best side character. See for yourself:

“Oh, what’s this?” Pansy turned to him, crossing her legs. “Weasley. What a surprise to see you in here, existing.”
“Chin up, Weasley,” Pansy barked. “I cannot be in the presence of pathetic.”
Pansy and Hermione
“Just as well,” said Hermione after a beat. “You can manage things in my absence.”
“I’m managing things in your presence, Hermione, be honest now,” Pansy rejoined, raising an eyebro”
