Love this author and this book too. I love her new genre into a bit more action, suspense and danger. I dropped a star because there were just a few things that as a reader I found myself thinking, that doesn’t make sense. Once or twice things didn’t add up. And as a reader, I don’t want to feel like I need to go back and see if I’m right. I just want to read the story. But other then that. Great storyline. And as always with this author, you can read the story without worry about what you put before your eyes. It is a MC club so there are references to some violence. But no graphic violence or sexual content you find in other MC stories. Enjoy.

Burn: A Bad Boy Sweet Romance is book 1 in the new series Sentinels MC Rebels by Elana Johnson and while be met Maverick and Karly in the Forbidden Lake series we now learn more about the Sentinels and rival MC club the Hawks.

Tyson “Bulldog” Pike is secretly trying to find a way to disband the Hawks MC club without a major war after discovering the leader is stealing and has done other unsavory things. When Dani shows up at the club something inside him knows he has to protect and claim her in order to keep her safe...

Dani, a single mother is barely keeping her head above water, takes a job offering big money to serve drinks but what she doesn’t realize it in the Hawks MC...something she is totally unprepared for...scared and afraid she now wants out...not going to happen...but then she meets Bulldog...

Can Tyson keep Dani safe, find the evidence to take the club down, keep his family and hers safe from harm and maybe find what he has been missing in his life...the love of a good woman!!

I was so excited to read this book!

I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve been wanting to read an MC Club romance for a while and just aren’t a lot sweet/clean MC Club romances available.

This was an exciting, fast paced story about Tyson aka Bulldog, the Vice President of the Hawks MC Club and Dani, a widow with a young son, who accidentally fell into a job with the club.

Their story is so very sweet. Tyson is a big, no nonsense biker, second in command, plays by the rules but you can’t mess with him. He has his reasons for joining the club and staying in it. But he is so vulnerable, scared and uncertain about starting a relationship with Dani but he can’t help himself. He was hooked from the first time he met her. Dani is also no-nonsense. She easily stands up to bikers in the club, even while scared out of her mind. She is tough but also vulnerable. She is scared to start a new relationship two years after her husband passed. Particularly with a biker. Especially because her son’s safety must be her first priority despite how enticing Tyson is.

I expected excitement but I didn’t expect the story to be so heart-aching. The author did an excellent job keeping the reader guessing and at one point I said to myself, are these two actually going to stick together? That’s how exciting it was. I had lots of fun googling MC terms, because I was clueless, lol.

This romance isn’t soft or easy. It’s gritty, which is new for me in the clean/sweet genre of romance (I guess I didn’t think it could be done). Recently the author posted in her Facebook group about how some of readers might be reluctant to read this one because it’s set within a MC club. I can see why some people might be reluctant. Don’t be. I think you’ll be surprised. This book had sweet romance, intrigue, danger and of course, an excellent HEA.

It has taken years but he is now second in command and really wants a new honest life but knows the only way out of the gang is to destroy it from within. In walks Dani, a widowed mother that was looking for a job and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. He knows he has to protect her but hires her to work for them and help him obtain the information he needs to destroy the gang. The attraction between them grows but Dani has to think of her five year old son. Is a guy that rides a big motorcycle with lots of ink and gang connections someone she wants in her life? Don’t miss this clean, suspenseful read from Elana Johnson!

Bulldog is the VP of a local motorcycle club who wants out but stays to protect his family. He has been gathering evidence in the president for awhile since he found out he had been stealing from the club. He meets Danu one morning as she had been desperate for a job and came to the club to serve drinks. She is sweet and naive and bulldog takes notice and wants to protect her from the evil within. He hires her to help clean the club office and help find proof to the theft. This is an exciting page-Turner with a HEA and more series to follow. There is no cliff hanger.

An intense, clean romance about a biker, Tyson (Bulldog) wanting out of an outlaw biker club. He finds a girl, Dani, at the club and saves her; making her known as his woman and giving her a job, helping find evidence, the leader is stealing money from the club. They know each other from school and are attracted to each other. Will they give into their attraction? Will they find the evidence without being caught?
I highly recommend this book.

Will Tyson get what he wants... the love of a good woman?
I loved this new series. I haven’t read forbidden lake, so these were new characters to me. So different from Elana’s other books I had read.
Things didn’t always run smoothly and took time to fix... I liked this aspect as it made the suspense, action and danger more believable.
Loved this new style... well to me anyways.
Always love Elana’s books.

Romance, clean; some violence so PG-13 rating
E.J. has such varied settings in her novels. This is so different from her usual, but she does such a fantastic job creating a world, with problems, and with an intense back story. Tyson (Bulldog) and Dani's story is intense, tender, romantic, and still breathtaking and action packed. Perfect if you enjoy a novel with some tenderness, romance, and some real struggle with ordinary people.
Loved it, made me read the other novel in this series, plus Maverick's novella in a prior series. Can't wait to read the next one when it comes out!

Different but good

I'm not much of a trend follower, so I was surprised to learn that motorcycle club romance is a thing right now. Regardless, I wasn't particularly interested when I saw an ad for this book. But after reading an excerpt in another author's newsletter, I was intrigued enough to give it a try.

And it was pretty good. It's a suspense romance tucked inside a relationship development romance. And it managed to be suspenseful to keep me reading without being exhausting about it.

There were a few flaws, but it never jarred me out of the story.

It was clear from the many references within the book that the Hawks & Sentinels had history from an earlier story - turns out to be "Her Escort: A Bad Boy Sweet Romance (Rebels of Forbidden Lake Book 6)"

*Clean romance level: passionate kisses, the club members have casual sex but the main characters don't & there's nothing graphic, also there's some fear of rape by the boss

This is my first book by Elana Johnson and it certainly will not be my last. Burn is a sweeter MC romance than I am used to reading but in no way is that a negative. A story that was filled with enough drama, suspense and romance to keep you captivated from start to finish. It is not a smooth ride for Bulldog and Dani but the outcome will satisfy any romance lover. Tyson was a character that stole your heart from the very beginning, a member of an MC that he was no longer happy with, trying his hardest to turn it all around without the complication of a war. Dani was a single mum that brought out his protective side and one that was totally unexpected. Their story is not without twists and turns but this bad boy with a sweet side will get his chance at happiness alongside the woman who stole his heart.

Tyson "Bulldog" and Danielle are perfect for each other. She brings out the "softer" protective side of "Bulldog" and makes him realize what he is missing in life. He makes her realize that she could love again. But she has a don to think about and didn't realize the danger she would be in. There are times when you wonder if they will survive. Will they find all the information they need? Will Tyson be able to finally walk away from the club unscathed? Will he be able to Keep Danielle and her son safe from Daddy? Will they finally admit to their feelings or will Danielle walk away forever because she is scared?

First of all this is a biker romance. Bulldog the man character is tired of the biker club and wants out but he is also trying to find evidence against the president of the club and then one day Dani walks in fresh eyed and innocent to protect her he asks Daddy to let him find something for her to do and In that process he falls for Dani and that’s where the real fun begins can he get out the club without repercussions and can Dani see that he is not a bad guy but one of the good ones that would do anything to keep her safe.

First time MC reader

Not usually my cup of tea, but I gave it a shot. I liked Tyson. He was a smart, patient man. Dani was a little harder to read. From the moment they met, he was nothing but kind to her. He laid down rules that would keep Dani safe, not that she listened. Dani seemed to inadvertently blame Tyson for the danger in her life, when it was actually her desperate choices that lead her to the Hawks.

I was glad to see that Tyson was able to start a new life. And that Dani made better choices for securing employment.

It was good to get back to Maverick and the Sentinels, maybe not so much with the Hawks. Elana Johnson has a way with handsome biker bad boys. Bulldog/Tyson definitely fills that role. There is romance, tension and plenty of twists and turns. Can Tyson disband the Hawks without a major war? Can he protect Dani and the rest of their families? This book will be one of those that you will quit reading after you finish this chapter and before you know it you’ve read the entire book.

Tyson a biker belongs to a biker club that is doing illegal things and he did not like it. He had been doing things to get the rest of the club to vote on his side so they could get ride of Daddy who was the boss and a bad person. Great beginning to this new series! I loved Tyson and Dani and how the author shows us that even though things do not always go smoothly, good can triumph over evil as Ty works to take down the president of the MC and keep Dani safe all at the same time! This is a clean romance with a lot of substance to it.

Kept me on the edge of my seat!

Dani and Tyson are an amazing couple. They are both strong and brave. They have both worked through some hard times in their lives and have learned to do hard things. In the beginning it was very intense and I wasn’t sure I would like this book. But it’s a great story, I loved it!

This is a very different book to Elana's usual work. There's lots of excitement and a small amount of violence.

Wow Love This Book

Wow I love this book.
I have read lots of Diana Johnson books and I think this new series will be a hit.

Rediscover

Becoming a new person is often difficult. The learning curve in this book certainly defined it as such. Very slow moving often times hard to follow. A surprise for me because I love this author.
