Summer has blazed. A time for heroes to rise from flames.
Vincent has only one rule, never change the past.
Married to a woman who only cares about herself, he spends his time working for the Hero Society. Devoted to saving those he can in the present while traveling throughout time for inner peace.
Until her. His best friend, and pen pal Emily.
He knows he should stay away. She’s kind and has a gift that makes everyone around her feel safe and loved. She doesn’t need his drama. There’s also the little fact that she’s from the past. Together, they must protect mankind from a greedy corporation that will scorch the Earth.
Vincent has saved the planet before, but this time the stakes are higher. To let the past happen as it previously did means losing Emily.
But to change the past means making a choice. Saving countless lives and staying in the future with his wife or the woman of the past who sets his heart ablaze —her sister. It’s the heroes against time, and one choice could destroy it forever.

It has been a long time since I have read an entire book in one sitting. But this got me! Fast paced with a storyline that continued spurring the question, but what happens next?! This was my introduction to the Hero Society and know I AM IN NOW. Vincent sweet sweet Vincent. A man plagued with what if’s caught in a toxic marriage. Finds himself caught in a blast from the past with his new pen pal Emily. As if having super powers wasn’t difficult enough he soon discovers Emily is from a completely different timeline than his own. The chaos that ensues will have you at the edge of your seat posing the same question as me. I can’t end this review without a shout out to my future best friend Phillip and the valiant leader Amari. Loved both of them so much. This can be read as a stand alone or you can join in on other stories in the Hero Society. I highly recommend.
This was only my second super hero romance, and I enjoyed it even more than the first one! E and V are so cute and I love how they “meet.” Author, Jessica Florence, does a great job interweaving the topic of mental health throughout the story and I am grateful to her for the mental health representation portrayed by the compassionate FMC. This quick read took me through so many emotions and I couldn’t put it down. Each of the characters are so diverse and I want to be besties with all of them! I will say that was not expecting Amari, but he quickly became one of my favorite parts of this book. I absolutely love the found family trope, and I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in the Hero Society!

4 ⭐️ | 2.5 🌶️ - this was such a cute and emotional read! Hero Society: Summer is a superhero romance that follows Vincent and Emily as they become strangers to penpals/friends to lovers. Both of these characters deserve all the happiness in the world and and I was rooting for them this whole story.
-Easy and quick read. Can definitely be read in a day if you have the time.
I hadn't read any of her other books in this series and was worried that I would have no idea what was going on; however, this book can definitely be read as a stand-only (enough context is given about previous events without having to read the others in order).
Quick read that sucked me into the story with V and E! I definitely wasn't expecting the ending -- but was so happy to have a HEA. Loved Amari and his attitude!
Thank you to the author for letting me get an ARC of this book!
This is such an amazing read 5/5. Its time traveler's wife meets hero society's and soul mates' vibes and best friends. When our two main character meet as pen pals from a magical mailbox you now you're in for an awesome read. E is from 2023 and V is from 2032. I highly recommend this book!
I have been waiting for this book for what feels like years and it did not disappoint! This book is an amazing marriage of A Time Travelers Wife with a sprinkling of Avengers tossed on in.
Emily is trying to survive and raise her little sister. Her only real escape is her mysterious pen pal who leaves her letters in a mailbox at a local park. Vincent is one of the modern day super heros who doesn’t exactly live a life of a fairytale at home. He too has a mysterious pen pal as his only source of joy.
Vincent never expected when he would find his letter writer, or that she would be from the past.
