The prolific and dynamic author, D Camille comes through again with another excellent addition to the Negus Effect series set in the ‘D’ (Detroit). The Master, George Shaw from the first book of the series, calls on Dr. Mathias Roberts, brother of Malachi Roberts, the Expert, Book 2. Mathias is a highly successful therapist who is enlisted to uncover the identity of the young men who wear the title of Neo Negus, and to discover who is behind their destructive mission. Mathias accepts the challenge, but he needs help in profiling these upstarts. Enter, FBI Special Agent Taylor Gibbs. Taylor and Malachi are guided toward each other at just the right time when they both need a special someone in their lives.
THE GUIDE Is the fourth book of a continuing storyline. These books, THE MASTER, THE EXPERT, THE ACE and THE GUIDE are not stand-alones. If you are not familiar with this series, I strongly suggest that you start with
Book 1. In the meantime, For those of you who are up-to-date, I highly recommend THE GUIDE. I think it’s the best story of the series so far.

Invisible Emanation
The Guide meets the Profiler and an attraction is evident. Dr. Matthias Roberts and Special FBI Agent Taylor Gibbs meet on a project but there's more going on than they realize. Dr. Matthias is The Guide of the Negus and also a family therapist. Agent Taylor Gibbs is a profiler who is on a special assignment which brings these two people together. In the union their are emotions and decisions they bith face which places them in dangerous zones. The author, D. Camille, always has an interesting twist in these books as well as intriguing outcomes. I highly recommend this book. I'm looking forward in reading Miles' story who is The Professional of the Negus.

Suspense filled
This book had a little of everything. Mystery, stalking betrayal, family issues, deceit, honor, love, and hot sex. Taylor and Matthias whew child this story was popping from the first scene to the last. D. Camille did it again with this story, the twists and turns kept you totally engaged.
This series is simply amazing filled with so much mystery, and intrigue in the midst of amazing stories of black love between strong independent women, and even stronger handsome men ready to love and protect their women, family friends and their city. I look forward to the next book.
I totally recommend this book. 5 star rating all the way.

The Guide is the latest installment in D. Camille's Negus Effect series and as in true D. Camille fashion, this book was a page turner from beginning to end. Mathias Roberts was next in line to answer the call from "the Master". Mathias is back in his city of Detroit and working with "the Expert" and The Ace" to find the Neo-Negus. Mathias partners with FBI profiler special agent Taylor Gibbs and the attraction is evident, however there are obstacles. Readers will enjoy reading Mathias' story and finding out more about the Neo-Negus and who is behind their creation.
Hats off to Ms. Camille for crafting another great story.

I really enjoyed this....
I really enjoyed reading about Mathias and Taylor. I loved how they connected on a spiritual level. I loved the continuation of the overall mystery behind who is trying to destroy the city. I was excited to see recurring characters from the Negus, The Negus Effect make appearances in this story. I love them all still. I can't wait to see what the Neo-Negus brings to the table. I did miss Cynthia's beloved dog not being in the book though. They were extremely close.

WOW just WOW....
I'm not sure if even WOW really captures how much I enjoyed book four of this series. So much went down, more than a few questions I had were answered and now I'm left anticipating the excitement the new regime will bring. I've said it many times before D. Camille you are an outstanding writer and the way you tell the story while dropping knowledge of us and what's happening to our lives in our communities is phenomenal. Thank you as always for giving your readers something to think about while enjoying your work.

She always brings the 🔥
Of course this book was fantastic. I get my life every time I read her books I really do. She is definitely one of my favorite authors and everytime her books come out I run to get it wonderful. Mathias and Taylor came together at the right time they were both ready for something different, different and real. Love the twists and turns excitedly waiting a book 5 in the series.

Phenomenal
I love every book written by D Camille. The writing style grabs you from the first word, to the next sentence, paragraph, page, and chapter. Once I start it's hard to put the book down. Now my problem is the books are so exciting and nice I finish one novel I can't wait to read the next. Don't ever stop writing!

Guide you to love
I think this was the best one yet. Mr. Shaw was a good man and thing from his past came back to effect the one he love. But with the guide and Taylor and the other. They show the young man and young adults that they can over come any thing with family, friends ,honestly and love 💘

Excellent read
Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Mathias and Taylor had chemistry from the first time they met. There’s mystery, Black and activism. It’s always good to catch up with the negus and the powerful proud men and women of Detroit. I recommend this book.

Guidance
Book 4 in the Negus series will keep you in suspense from beginning to ending. Mathias Roberts showed you what type of strong black man he is. Taylor Gibbs will have you intrigued by trying to figure out who she really is. I can't wait for book 5.

Great read and continuation
This author never disappoints, it really doesn't matter the storyline...this here story had more twists and turns than a country road...that Patrice was and is still a trip...I can't wait to see what will happen next...

Always great
Another great read. D Camille always infuses a great story with some history tidbits and all the black love makes me happy. Can’t wait to see what’s next for this next generation of Negus and if Patrice will actually stay away from trouble.

Love Language
Mathias provided Taylor all the love languages she need! I absolutely love The Guide... one of my favorites! I truly felt the aura of this book! Finally the Neo Negus and the Negus unite! Can’t wait to read the final installment!

Excellent!
What a great storyline from beginning to end. This story was filled with the best drama, action and suspense written. It really kept me on my toes with the suspense and the twisted plots. The characters were great as usual especially the characters that I've read about in previous series, that I came to love and cherish. It's also great to see torches passed down. Great Read! ReneeG 👍
