There is something called an " window period" meaning that a person should have no sexual intercourse of any kind for at least 3 MONTHS before saying that it's clean and tested and not 3 DAYS, especially after all the "diversity" activity of sexual partners of H (Because of course, in addition to all the clichés, we still have a stupid zeroine that has unprotected sex even though he knows the guy's promiscuity.). When I open a Jenna Jacob book, I know I'm going to get exciting, diverse characters and blindingly passionate love, layered atop a fast-moving plot with wonderful twists and turns. The first book in this new series delivers on that promise, and then some. I'm already a sucker for rock star romance, and in Jacob's hands, the genre is "amped to 11"--and this happy reader is so glad! A terrific book.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Sofia Jackson and Burk Jennings. When this book opens we find Sofia waiting with the rest of the band in front of a nondescript brick building. When the guys all agree that they won't go get Burk she realizes she has to if nothing else than to keep them on schedule. What she didn't know is she was about to walk into club genesis (if you have read any of this authors previous books this name will make sense if not make sure you do right now). When she is finally allowed access with none other than Mika himself she finds a sight that not only is right out of her fantasies but it is also her worst nightmare come to life. Burk is there with a woman from the club and he is blowing off some steam. Right there no matter what fantasies she has had about this man she knows she will never measure up. Burke just wanted to get the thought of the woman he wants more than anything out of his head. Little did he know the guys would send her in to find him and hurt her more than he ever thought was possible. Not only Burk but the rest of the band learn what drove Sofia to join them all they want is to make it up to her for being jerks. Will Burk get the chance to show Sofia what she really wants in a man or will his past make a future for them impossible?
This author is amazing and this story is another hit out of the park. It does have its ups and downs and boy is there so many I want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I am already ready for the next Licks Of Leather book. Whoa!! Burk has met his match when it comes to Sophia. She is a hell kitten, strong, head strong, but she has a sunny side. Welcome to this rock tour. We get to see the Alpha, Dom, who has been with so many groupies meet his match. Not just did he, but his band members are also head over heels for their road manager. I. LOVE. THIS. BOOK. Jenna is amazing. And, thank you for the cameos from The Dom of Genesis crew. This book is so recommended.

Great Mix of rockstar and bad boy!
Loved this mix of a bad boy rockstar with a dominant streak and his persistence and love for his woman. He knew what he wanted and he was going to get it. Fantastic start to this series and I’m so mad that it took me so long to discover it!

A brand new series about the rock band, Licks of Leather. The first book is about the lead singer, Burk Jennings and their temporary road manager, Sofia Jackson. Sofia was managing the band for her boss and the big fat bonus she was promised once the concert tour ended. Even though Sofia didn't want to deal with the childish behaviors of the guys in the band, she knew that if she was able to get through the tour, then she would be able to move ahead in her career. She has been able to deal with and/or ignore the guys, especially Burk even though she secretly is attracted to him.
Burk knew there was something special about Sofia the first time he met her even though he and the band felt that they didn't need another "babysitter" while on their tour. However, his manager insists on it and since Burk knew his manager for a very long time, he went along with it. Burk knew he was attracted to Sofia but he knew he couln't act on it since she was engaged to someone else. One incident in which Sofia caught him in a private club changed everything but then nothing. Until Sofia's fiance came to "take" her back and home while Sofia resisted until Burk stepped in because the guy was getting physical with Sofia. One thing lead to another and the fists came out flying, especially when the guy hurt Sofia physically and verbally.
When Burk found out that Sofia broke off her engagement a while back, he was shocked and a little pissed off at his friend an manager. But it also gave Burk the all clear to finally get chance with Sofia, especially when he knew that Sofia was also attracted to him. They started the relationship with the intent of it being short term even though Burk knew he wanted more with Sofia.
Their relationship got serious quick and Burk even confided in Sofia about his indecision on what he wanted to do with the band. When secrets come out, everyone is hurt and no one knows who to believe and trust. Their relationship with each other, Burk's relationship with his band brothers, and Sofia's personal struggles are all taking a hit and everyone must work with each other and for each other to bring everyone back together.
Burk and Sofia's story is a great start to the series. I can't wait for Rock Me Harder (book 2). Jenna Jacob's books are such great stories with a lot of hot and wild chemistry between the couple while having a great story line!

Their relationship is a real push/pull, give/take one ... both wanting more, but unsure of how to get it. The chemistry between them is undeniable ... will they be able to find their HEA?
I cannot wait to read the next book in the series, Rock Me Harder, which is Darren's story. If Jenna Jacobs brings everything again, like she did with this one, then it is going to be unputdownable. An absolute winner.

What a ride! I haven't read that many rock star romance stories but this new series from Jenna Jacob promises to be awesome. Burk and Sofie are the first book and it takes the reader on a wild ride behind the scenes of managing a famous rock star band. Burk wants Sofie but thinks he cant have her so he turns to groupies to try and forget her. Nope, it doesn't work! When she is sent into a kink club by one of the band members to get him back on the bus, he's shocked to see her there. Sofie always knew about him "getting his freak on" but the girl he's playing with reminds her of herself and she runs out. Cue the song and dance that starts between them. It's heartbreaking at times and there were also times I wanted to shake Burk and Sofie for being stubborn and mule headed. LOL The emotions were all over the place with this story and you could feel the it. Ms Jacob has another hit series on her hands and I can't wait to read the next story!

I don't usually read rock star romance but if Jenna Jacob writes it, I will read it. The group of characters she's created for the Lick My Leathers series are raunchy, irreverent, boisterous and funny. I look forward to reading each one of the stories. I also was delighted that Jenna pulls in familiar characters from the Doms of Genesis series. Gotta love that!

There's got to be something more and that something more may be Sofia Jackson. Sent in to wrangle this untamed group of rockers, Sofia is organized, driven and focused. She's also beautiful and has an underlying vulnerability about her. She's everything Burk never knew hew wanted. Their chemistry is undeniable but aligning their lives and goals may be impossible.

Rock Me Longer (Licks of Leather) is a new series of Jenna Jacob. She has never disappointed this reader with any books she has written. This new series is about Rock Band Stars. Burk Jennings is the proverbial prince of quick night stands after a performance. His tastes are a little on the kinky side, and take him to a BDSM club to soothe his soul. Sofia Jackson is the band manager to keep them on the straight and narrow while touring. When Burk doesn't return at a reasonable time, the rest of the bank members coaxed Sofia to go after him. What she finds doesn't sit well for her as he is nursing an attraction to Burk she can't control. Watching these two move and grown through the books makes you mad, sad, happy, and a little silly. Jenna has a knack for some of the best lines in all of book history. I enjoyed it very much, and have already pre-ordered the next book. If you have never ready Jenna, you want to give her a try.

A scorching, rocker spin-off of the "Doms of Genesis" series!
I've been so busy that I didn't pay attention to all the details about this new series. So you can imagine how excited I was to see some familiar characters making appearances (like Drake in the opening scene)!
Sofia is a strong, independent woman who is incredibly good at her job as temporary road manager to rock band, Licks of Leather. She secretly harbors a crush on Burk, the lead singer, but believes he doesn't notice her at all. She couldn't be more wrong! The sparks start flying between these two and what a ride it is. Both of these characters have some serious decisions to make about their future and if/how each other will fit into their lifestyles.
I can't wait to read more of this series! The other band members had me laughing out loud with their antics and smart-ass banter. Would highly recommend this one to any romance fans - especially those who love dominant rocker types!

The chemistry between Buck and Sofia left me dizzy. I have always had a soft spot for a broken Rock Star and Burk fulfilled all my fantasies. He is cocky, sexy as sin but also has a gentler side that he keeps under lock and key. He was shocked when he first saw Sofia. She gripped his heartstrings from the get go, but she was off limits. She was Licks of Leather's go to promotions person, but she was also engaged.
Burk did not know that Sofia had fantasies for him that she kept for lonely nights in her bed. Sofia knew he had a reputation getting kinky with the groupies so she figured she definitely did not have a chance with him. This book is hot and steamy and the relationship between these 2 was a delight to read. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Burk is a likable character and is fairly down-to-earth even though he's a wealthy super-star. He's feeling burned out from the constant go, but having Sofia along on the tour bus has been brightening the view at least.
Sofia has worked long and hard to get as far as she has in her music promoter job and she can't let anything derail her progress ... but man she is tempted by Burk.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a hint of forbidden love and a rock star lifestyle. The characters were a lot of fun to get to know and I'm looking forward to more in the series.

I guess my reading interests or standards, per se, have changed. I enjoyed Jacob's writing style when she was putting out the Doms of Genesis series, but her last few haven't wowed me.
Rock Me Longer was a little awkward. The beginning felt like the middle of the book, as if we were already supposed to know the characters and what was going on.
Also, some of the wording the author uses during sex scenes to describe things were a little cringeworthy.
I did like seeing the reappearance of a few characters from Doms of Genesis.
Overall, if you're into BDSM stories, this one isn't terrible. The author is knowledgeable about the subject matter so those aspects of her writing are written with accuracy.

I can't remember the last time that I read a book with a male MC that I despised so much. I don't have enough words to say the reason so I'm just going to let him speak for himself:
"Secondly, when I SUGGESTED you quit your job, I was only trying to open your eyes to the possibility of us sharing a future together. But your almighty CAREER is obviously far more important to you than spending your life basking in happiness and raising a real family with a man who loves you more than anything on the goddamn planet.
Note: he spoke this after acusing the heroine of something without proof and humiliating her in the process. And he still can twist everything to make Sofia feel guilty. I can't believe that we still romanticize this kind of relationship.

The first book in a new series about a rock band. I am usually not a big fan of Rockstar books, but because of the fact that Jenna Jacobs wrote the book, I went for it and I enjoyed it. If you have read the Genesis series, then you will see a short cameo of some familiar faces in the beginning of the books.
I loved Burk and Sophia. Sofia was a wonderful characters and so much stronger than she thought and he dealing with the guys made me laugh. I loved how Burk got Sophia and loved her even more for that. Both characters aren’t perfect. they have their flaws and make mistakes, but that is what makes them more real.
And the book is alway steamy, but then it is a Jenna book.

Hurray for Jenna Jacobs
Every girl has a fantasy of catching the heart of their favorite lead singer in their favorite rock band and Jenna Jacobs has done just that with Rock Me Longer. Who doesn't wish they could live on the tour bus with their one and only. The characters chemistry was off the charts and eventhough their story started as a novella in the Alphas of Seduction anthology I truly enjoyed the changes Jenna made to creat a story of not only love at first sight but finding your soulmate! Jenna never fails to create a great 3 dimensional love story of out biggest fantasies. Can't wait for the next one!

This story was pretty good and almost read it in one day. Burk is the lead singer of Licks of Leather and he’s handsome and sexy. He’s been crazy about Sofia since she walked onto their tour bus as their manager/babysitter. These guys are wild and keeping them in check has been quite a job and Sofia has had a hard time because she’s crazy for Burk too. He’s kept away because he thought she was engaged and when he discovered that engagement was no more, he went right after her full speed ahead. This story was sexy and romantic and I loved both characters and every single band member. I can’t wait to read about Darren next. I recommend this book highly.

This story is amazing! I bought the first three books in this series as I was curious how someone would portray a rock 'n roll band. The depth of the lead singer, brought out by this author, was perfect background for famous rockers. For him to find a special person amid all the chaos surrounding his life is truly an accomplishment.
When a rumor starts involving a member of the band, these men, with the help of their manager, show us just what brotherhood stands for. This was a first read for me by this author, and I recently completed my purchase of this series. Jenna Jacob possesses a true talent and blesses us with her words.

The natural writing skills of Jenna Jacob comes through on every page. It starts with the typical 'bad boy rockstar' antics, but then begins the journey of honesty, betrayal, misunderstandings, truths, passion and finally a love so deep and strong that everything else makes sense and brings life together.
I cannot wait for the rest of this series... but I will, because I want Jenna to take the time for her word perfection!

Jenna Jacobs has started a new series at the top and it just makes it better that it’s a rock star story. Burk and Sophia are so wonderful to follow their story and you can’t help, but root for them. There’s nothing better than being able to see some of the characters from other Jenna Jacobs books and it make sense. But you also Wouldn’t have to have read those other books. I cannot wait for the next addition to this new series. Also getting to know the other band mates and their friendships.

Burk is living his dream as the lead singer in Licks of Leather. Sofia has been tasked with taking on the job as their road manager. The last several have quit and they need someone to keep them out of trouble. The guys have worked hard to try and get Sofia to quit too. Can they get past their animosity long enough to rock their dreams?
Love these characters! The guys in the band keep things interesting. Sofia is tough enough to hold her own even with this band. This was an easy read, I just couldn't put it down. Looking forward to reading the rest of the guy's stories.

This is the first book of a new series, and it starts off with a bang! First off is Burk Jennings, lead singer for Licks of Leather. He’s sexy and talented, and quite naughty 😉. But he wants Sophia, their road manager, but doesn’t think he can have her. Sophia dreams and lusts after Burk, but doesn’t think he sees her like that. What ensues is a battle of wills, lots of chemistry and sexy steaminess!! I was hooked from the first chapter!! I can’t wait for the next book to come around!!!

Best Love Story I have read!
The author pours her heart and soul into this story. Sofia Jackson tour manager for Licks and Leather Band has to deal with alot. Watching Burk Jennings and his bad boy ways. This band is a hand full. But there is something between Sofia and Burk. But Sofia tries to keep everything professional between them. Quinn her boss has a plan of his own. This story can break your heart then make you soar! I Loved it! I recommend it!

OMG Jenna, this isn't your typical rock and roll story, the ups and downs of life's struggle, the hardships life has given and the ability to overcome and love with your whole heart, the bad boy from a great loving family and the girl from the wrong side of the tracks who has made something of herself without family, totally amazeballs, you knocked this out of the park, can't wait for the next book, thank you again, Dana

I liked this book a lot more than I thought I would and am looking forward to the next one.
However, I found several typos and bad editing. That’s quite jarring and takes one out of the flow of the story.
My only complaint storyline wise is how abruptly it was ended. Almost as though the author didn’t know HOW to end this story. That was disappointing as hell.
Overall, a good, easy, guilty pleasure read. I usually enjoy this author and had read several books of hers before.
