Caitlin Crews discovered her first romance novel at the age of twelve, in a bargain bin at the local five and dime. It involved swashbuckling pirates, grand adventures, a heroine with rustling skirts and a mind of her own, and a seriously mouthwatering and masterful hero. The book (the title of which remains lost in the mists of time) made a serious impression. Caitlin was immediately smitten with romances and romance heroes, to the detriment of her middle school social life. And so began her life-long love affair with romance novels, many of which she insists on keeping near her at all times, thus creating a fire hazard of love wherever she lives.

Caitlin has made her home in places as far-flung as York, England and Atlanta, Georgia. She was raised near New York City, and fell in love with London on her first visit when she was a teenager. She has backpacked in Zimbabwe, been on safari in Botswana, and visited tiny villages in Namibia. She has, while visiting the place in question, declared her intention to live in Prague, Dublin, Paris, Athens, Nice, the Greek Islands, Rome, Venice, and/or any of the Hawaiian islands. Writing about exotic places seems like the next best thing to actually moving there.

She currently lives in Oregon with her animator/comic book artist husband and their menagerie of ridiculous animals.

Erika finally gets into the Berlin BDSM club where she knows Dorian is, but then she runs. He chases and catches her. The sex is hot, but there is way toooooooo much talking in their heads. Especially Dorian, since he is her brother's BFF and known her since she was 10. Dorian is a little too bossy of a Dom.

Now, the brother, Conrad, is engaged to someone, but at the end of the book Ms. Crews says Conrad and his wife not her name....hhhhmmmm...

Caitlin Crews couldn’t write a bad book if she tried, but for once she’s written a book about characters and activities that I really had difficulty in identifying and engaging with and I am so disappointed because I love her books.

I could not get into the BDSM world, and quite frankly, if Caitlin Crews can’t make me understand the attraction of the whole Dom/Sub, inflicting pain/being humiliated attraction, then no one can. The very first encounter with Dorian as he whipped the girl to orgasm in front of an excited audience simply made me cringe and shake my head in absolute puzzlement. His matter of fact description of the range of sexual activities available to Erika made me realise my so called liberated sexual experience was in fact very constrained indeed!

I pass no judgement on those who like the activities described in this book; I am simply recognising that my own sexual preferences made it impossible for me to be turned on by most of the sexual activities described in this book. I normally have absolutely loved the erotic sex scenes in all of Caitlin’s books, but this one just failed for me personally.

As I said, Caitlin is a great writer. I found Erika and Dorian really interesting characters and Caitlin’s description of their developing love was really lovely. Just couldn’t get excited about, let alone understand the sexual predilections. Leaving the sexual preferences aside, I found the build up of the relationship between Dorian and Erika touching, romantic and incredibly satisfying

For those who are more adventurous than me, I imagine this book will be a five star as it is a well written book about a lifestyle that I still don’t understand, but which I am sure will hit the spot for many readers who do.

I liked the way Caitlin addressed the issues which had affected Erika and Dorian and the rest of their story including the epilogue was really well done. Overall, it is a well written and interesting book.

Teach Me by Caitlin Crews is one sizzling hot novel, and it employs one of my favorite romance tropes, best friend's little sister. If your taste in romance novels tends to be both rather tame and vanilla, I'll tell you up front that this is not the book for you, because in this short, steamy, Dare romance you'll learn a lot more about BDSM and power exchange than you ever did in the 50 Shades of Grey series, and although I wish it had been a longer novel, it still gets 5 kinky stars from this reader.

Erika Vanderberg, the female lead, is complex, confused, and sexually curious. She dropped out of college after her second year, something neither her opportunistic, gold-digging and self-absorbed mother, nor her successful, staid and disapproving brother, Conrad, nor his best friend, Dorian Alexander, can understand. Her mother and brother treat her like a failure, and instead of pursuing a career, she's traveled the world pursuing and sampling more than few men, but her current interest is in kink, but no one has quite given her the thrills she's after. When we first meet her, she is in Berlin, and hoping that this time, after 6 months of trying, she'll finally be admitted into the most exclusive and reputably best BDSM club in the world. Her persistence pays off, and she's finally admitted inside, learned the long list of rules, filled out a lot of paperwork, and finally is allowed to enter the main room. Once a month the club opens its doors to a rare few newbies, and as Erika takes in the sexy sights and sounds, she's drawn to a public scene that draws quite a crowd, draws her in like a magnet, and stops her in her tracks. The Dom in the scene has a submissive strapped to a St. Andrew's Cross, and has a whip in his hand. Erika is transfixed and turned on. When the scene ends, he turns around, and she's not at all surprised to find that the Dom is Dorian, who is reputed to be the most desired Dom at this and any other BDSM club--he's certainly hinted at his dominance to Erika before, and he's the main reason she's there. She wants to explore and expand her knowledge of BDSM, and in this novel does she ever.

Dorian certainly has his reservations about entering into a BDSM relationship with the girl who is the little sister of his closest friend, but the last time they met at a party, Erika no longer seemed like Conrad's little sister. Dorian realized she was a beautiful and sexy woman with an attitude problem, and he's not surprised when Erika struggles with following his orders, but her smart mouth and sassy attitude intrigue Dorian, and so begins the story of Erika's submission, her coming to terms with who she really is and what she really wants, with Dorian as her teacher, and she couldn't have found a better, more adept, more understanding, or a more demanding one, and among the many demands he issues are two of the hardest for Erika to agree to--finally accepting herself for who she is, and making peace with her brother.

Make no mistake, this is one very hot, very explicit, very well-written, erotic novel, and both main characters are fascinating, each in their own way. While it took this reader some time to warm up to both Erika and Dorian, by the HEA ending, I came to understand and appreciate what each character brought to and learned from the other. For me, this was as spot-on a BDSM romance as I've read in some time. I simply couldn't it down, and kudos to Ms. Crews for getting down to what the lifestyle and power exchange are all about. While I know it isn't for everyone, every bit of it worked for me, and I'm happy to recommend it.

I voluntarily read and advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

Ericka Vanderburg is a handful. She's been rebelling since her father died. She's kind of a hot mess. Her big brother best friend Dorian has always fascinated and terrified Ericka and then a run in at a party with Dorian sets her sights and curiosity on him. When she finally gets into his club and comes face to face with him though it changes everything. Poor Ericka is a mess until Dorian takes her in hand. The story moves fast because this is a short book it has to. Dorian helps Ericka see her potential but also shows her she loved and lovable. I would like to have seen this is a fuller longer book but for the length it is still pretty detailed. I loved Dorian and Ericka together. Very emotional and sexy story. I would like to see the story of Ericka's brother. Hopefully that's next.

Teach me is the first in the series and is about Dorian and Erika. She’s his best friends little sister and she is after him. One fateful night changed everything now years later she is ready. But will he be ready to handle her?

It’s a BDSM book that helps Erika discover who she is and accept what she’s most desperately wanted. Dorian is hard, dominant, and takes no crap. He wants what he wants when he wants with no one stopping in his way.

It was enjoyable.

Full disclosure: I sort of had to force myself to read the first third of the book. But eventually, it picked up and I felt emotionally invested in the characters and their relationship. The story really has a lot going for it - we have BDSM, brother's best friend, as well as lots of familial drama. I think it's remarkable how well we get to know Erika as the book progresses. It's also a feat how Caitlin Crews manages to take her from a spoiled socialite (who I genuinely could not stand) to a fully fleshed out character that I rooted for. I also appreciate the shift and growth we glimpse in Dorian as well. The steamy bits are intense but in an emotional way as opposed to a sexual way, which can sometimes be the case with BDSM scenes, so this ended up being a far different read than what I was expecting. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

Teach Me is the first book in the Filthy Rich Billionaires by Caitlin Crews. It is currently scheduled for release on February 1 2020. Socialite Erika Vanderberg has been planning for this night for months. Years. All so she can finally gain entrance to Berlin’s most exclusive sex club. Erika is here for one person: Dorian Alexander, her brother’s best friend and her secret childhood crush. Only, now her childish crush has been replaced by something hungry, raw and oh-so-wickedly adult. And the moment Erika sees Dorian—his dark eyes intent and focused, that hard body—everything comes crashing into place. Yes, she’s submissive. And yes, she desperately wants to surrender to Dorian over and over again. But Erika has spent her life pretending to be a spoiled little socialite who pushes everyone away. Submitting to this delicious man and all his heady power won’t change who she is—will it? After one taste, there is already a dark hunger between them, one that threatens to unleash who Erika really is.

Teach Me is from the Harlequin Dare line, which means that the heat level is much higher than what some people might expect, if the mention of the sex club did not already warn you about this. So, if BDSM and related themes are no goes for you then I suggest moving along. However, I have to say that I liked the way the dynamics of the lifestyle are laid out and explained, how a healthy and safe relationship is all about communication and honesty. I think those are things everyone can improve on in their relationship no matter what form it takes. Now, this is about so much more than the sex and lifestyle. The emotion aspects of the relationship are tied to the lifestyle, but have their own part to play as well. Both Erika and Dorian have family trauma that shaped them and changed them over the years, affecting their values and how they see themselves. Erika's character arch is sometimes painful to watch, but so important to the story. I liked that we got both Dorian and Erika's points of view in the story, but I would have liked to see more of a struggle on Dorain's part- if felt a bit one sided in the character growth and while there were a few introductions to secondary characters there was not much outside Erika's personal story arch to the book.

Teach Me is a book that ran hot and cold for me. I liked the honest and realistic look at the lifestyle and what shaped the characters, but it was a little to 'big guy saves lost girl' to make me completely happy.

Teach Me by Caitlin Crews is a steamy BDSM themed story with a sibling’s best friend romance.

Erika Vanderburg has spent the last two years trying to figure out a way to get into the infamous Berlin Walfreiheit sex club, where she knows her brother Conrad’s best friend Dorian Alexander does scenes as a Dom. Their last personal encounter at a family charity ball had left her with the feeling that she was missing something – something that only he could provide. When she watches him perform a scene with a submissive she gets the feeling she might be in over her head. But Dorian has seen her, and it’s too late to turn back now. With the wheels in motion, Dorian show Erika just how good things could be between them. But can it lead to something more than just a few sex filled nights together?

Whew! The author has ratcheted up the steam factor in this one! If you’ve ever wanted to experience the inside of a sex club (albeit a fictional one), this will certainly fulfill that curiosity. For Erika, who considers herself a knowledgeable party girl, it’s still an eye-opening experience and seeing Dorian in full Dom mode pushes all of her buttons. What follows is some personal, private time between them where Erika realizes that what she wants most is Dorian’s approval. It’s not all one sided though as Dorian is quick to understand that Erika’s reaction and response to him is unlike any other woman he’s been with – a somewhat scary realization.

Dorian isn’t one to hold back information, and just like he’s up front with Erika about what he expects and how not to disappoint him, he’s also quick to tell his best friend about Erika’s appearance at the club so that Conrad isn’t blindsided by the news that he and Erika are sleeping together. Conrad isn’t thrilled but grudgingly takes Dorian at his word that he’ll take care of Erika (something he’s had a hard time with as she’s played the rebellious younger sister for more years than he can count).

From there, Dorian just has to convince Erika that he wants more than just her submission – he wants her for a lifetime if she’ll have him. Besides the über steamy sex scenes (that include spanking and toys), both Dorian and Erika spend a lot of time in their heads in personal monologues that did become a bit repetitive. But overall, if you’re into BDSM romances this is a prime example of one with great play scenes, responsible aftercare and a sexy romance with two very compatible people. I’m definitely interested in reading Conrad’s story next!

This story was a solid middle of the road for me. It didn't stand out in any meaningful way, but it had an interesting premise and the writing was fluid and engaging. This can definitely be read in one day (as it only took me a couple of hours to finish), so it's perfect if you're in the mood for something quick and steamy to read.

I enjoyed the inner conflict that is present within Erika. The way she has to reconcile what she wants, and more importantly who she is, with the image she has presented for so long. The patience that Dorian showed with her as he waited for her to make up her own mind - offering her the option to stay or go, waiting as she had those battles with her inner demons, etc, spoke volumes about his character. The one thing that annoyed me about him, however, was the fact that he went to her estranged brother (even if he was his best friend) about the nature of his feelings towards Erika without telling her first. He seemed pretty darn sure of himself, and that was a slight bit of a turn-off. I would have liked to have seen him be just as unsure of her as she was of him.

I felt like the final chapter tied things up between them nicely, giving us a small glimpse into their life without going into an overwhelming amount of details. I would read more from this author.

This was a pretty good book. I liked both main characters and especially liked the heat! I’ve not found a good BDSM book with all the right emotional beats in a while so this one hit the spot. I recommend.

I think this book left me as emotionally drained as it did Erika! Best friends’ little sister is one of the best tropes, and it was stunningly done here. Dorian has seen what everyone else has seen in Erika, and he didn’t really think much beyond that. Until he did, and then he realized he probably had been for awhile. As Dorian realizes some things about himself, he also clearly sees Erika, and the parts of her she doesn’t even see herself. Erika has buried so much, bringing out the woman she is takes extra courage. Dorian gives her the strength she needs to do it, by simply being there and allowing her the time and space she needs. Super sexy, high emotions, and a very satisfying HEA!

Fifty Shades, only much, much better!

Caitlin Crews has really pushed boundaries with this story. It won't be for everyone but I LOVED it! I loved that Dorian helped Erika see the truth about herself, and how that was wrapped up in the power exchange/BDSM element in a way that was both sexually and emotionally powerful. I loved how Dorian knew what he wanted almost from the off and how he had to wait for Erikah to realise it too. This book truly could have been so much longer, there was so much to explore between them and I felt the ending had to try and cover all that off in such a short number of pages. Maybe Crews could go and do an exclusive extended version in the future ;-)

This book features Erika and Dorian. She’s the spoiled princess of a wealthy family. He’s the best friend of her brother. She is obsessively attracted to Dorian. The only way to get him to notice her is to get involved in the BDSM scene, to which he is heavily involved. This is a best friend’s sister trope. It deals with how Erika sees herself and all the self-sabotage she’s done for so many years. Dorian, for all his seriousness, is the only one to look at her and REALLY see her. This is a short look at their journey to discovering each other.

A sex club, a brothers best friend, revenge, and a discovery of truths. Will the discover of her brothers best friend as a Dom threaten her plans? When he forces her to make a choice will she give in or be stubborn and give up the one thing she desperately desires?

This inferno hot read delves into what happens when boundaries are tested, trust is on the line, and exploration leads to a desire like no other.

Holy wow that was h-o-t. A quick and deliciously dirty erotic take about a new submissive bringing the alpha she's always wanted to heel in life while he brings her satisfaction in bed. There were a few moments I glossed over, particularly involving the love interest's need to discuss his desire for a relationship first with her brother and NOT her, but if you are looking for a sinful brother's best friend romance, this is a great one to pick up!

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC.

Teach Me is hot, hot, hot, so plan to have a fan close by. Erika and Dorian have sizzling chemistry, and although he resists her overtures at first, he (and the Dom in him) cannot resist her. They begin a passionate affair exploring their kink, and Dorian finds himself falling and falling hard. Now, he just has to convince Erika of his sincerity, and he turns up the swoon factor as he does. With its uber-steamy sex scenes and sweet romance, readers will enjoy this sexy BDSM tale.

This had the potential to be angsty BUT unfortunately it didn't reach that level of angst I expected. The chemistry was there but there was something lacking. I didn't really believe that he loved her???? It's still questionable to me. Idk.... this wouldve been better if the Hero actually did something to prove his love for her but all we get is him being bossy 24/7 and then him being a dick to her???? Eh

I have been a big fan of Caitlin Crewes. For that reason I was so excited to read Teach Me. This story was sexy and surprisingly emotional as it highlighted BDSM but more over an emotional connection between Dorian and Ericka.

I enjoyed this quick story as it highlighted Ericka's own struggles and dismal perception of herself and how Dorian saw past her bratty nd sharp-tongued exterior to the vulnerable and strong woman she was inside. Overall, this story was great and I look forward to more from her in the future.

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. 4 stars! ~Ratula
