Life for college softball player Lexie Rodriguez was all midterms and afternoon practices until she joined the supernatural problem-solvers known as the Nyte Patrol, but learning about magic and things that go bump in the night has awakened in her a taste for adventure.
A taste that just might kill her.
When a client goes missing and co-worker Larry’s niece is found in a coma, Lexie dives into the investigations, but rumors from the spirit realm and bad dreams alike point toward a foe who’s tough to tackle: a demonic spirit, hell bent on revenge for the death of its mortal host.
It’s bloodthirsty. It’s relentless. And it’s coming for Lexie.

My review rating system is as follows: 5 = Amazing, I absolutely loved it! (Fantastic!) 4 = A very good book, although I had a few quibbles with it. (Great!) 3 = A book I liked, but either it had a few more serious problems or I didn't connect well with it. (Good!) 2 = I had major issues with this book. (Not good...) 1 = I hated or DNF'ed this book. (Real bad!)
One hell of a book...it was incredible! I was so glad to see Lexie use the powers that Larry could see in her. It was nice to get to know each member of the group more. Each person became more human and able to be understood a little more than the previous book. I found myself really becoming engrossed in these people’s lives. There were parts of the book I laughed and parts where I cried but no spoilers....you will have to read it yourself.
So. I enjoyed the first book immensely. And this one was even better on all counts. The character interactions that I thought were the best part of the previous book were even deeper, more real, and thoroughly poignant. I called one of the twists early on, but only about half of it, and the story kept me completely hooked the whole time. Fantastic story.
