Lost Coast Daddies #1

Sizzling Hot Daddy

Rate this book
She'd had one panic attack too many.

Gracie was a successful social media manager, but sometimes the anxiety took over. Finding herself all alone, in the dark was terrifying!

Her best friend Sofie tried to help when the lights went off, sending over someone to fix the solar system right away.

Only one problem with that plan.

Solar fixer dude is sizzling hot and Gracie is not sure she can trust herself alone with him.

From the moment he performs his house call, Luke is into Gracie.

Her ruffly panties, little girl squeals and delicious voluptuousness made him want to eat her up and go all Daddy Dom on her. Too bad she is the best friend of his best friend’s wife.

Luke didn’t know what he was thinking. He never should have agreed to let her stay at his place because the temptation was driving him mad.

He was a self- confessed control freak who loved to dominate, surely that would be too much for this little girl.

She was adorable. She was a hot mess. And she had no idea just how attractive she was.

If he didn't take her over his knee soon he was going to lose it.

Warning: This book contains a panty-dropping, spanking Daddy Dom and a heroine who craves his commanding brand of passion. It does not feature age play, pacis or diapers. This story is written for mature audiences. It contains sexual scenes intended for adults only. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

I’m always on the lookout for a good DDlg story and despite it being easier than finding a needle in a haystack, it’s even harder to find one that’s good.

There’s a reason to stick to Margot Scott, Morganna Williams and Honey Meyer. They never fail to give me a great read.

Nevertheless, I went into this with high hopes. Unfortunately those hopes were short lived.

Not only did this lack originality, the writing was simplistic and redundant. The steam was ok but nothing to write home about. The relationship between the 2 MC’s lacked chemistry and felt superficial at best.

The best part was the OW drama because at least it gave substance to a lackluster plot. Unfortunately that part was a blip on the radar and that door was never closed leaving you wondering where that juicy little tidbit would end up.

Sigh, at least it was free. Hopefully I’ll have better luck next time.

I don't really know much about this kink but thought it was an alright story I just wished it was a bit longer so it could feel more "finished". The characters wasn't fully devolped and there was a lot I wanted questions for. I know this is more of an erotica than romance but still feel like a story need to feel "finished".

This was a short quick read from an author that I have read before. Gracie’s lights go out in the middle of the night and Luke is the only one who can turn her back on. He let's her stay with him until he can get everything working. Luke is also a daddy Dom. I had issues with Gracie she was too childish at times. I also felt that Luke should have explained to her what a daddy Dom is before having sex with her. The sex scenes were hot. Gracie suffers from anxiety and I get it I have panic attacks also but she was very childish too me and insecure. Luke he is dominant but he to was insecure at times. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This book was missing a lot. There are many things that are being mentioned in this book but never really come up again. That’s one thing that bothered me a lot about this book.
An example would be the fact that our hero has a conversation with his best friend about the fact that he is super rich but haven’t told the heroine about it and doesn’t even want to tell her. First of I never got the feeling this would be any issue for her and secondly the big reveal never really happens. It was just introduced to have an excuse for the his ex showing up again. This felt very lacking.
Also the whole thing with the ex was happening way too fast and then there wasn’t any closure at all.
But there were also small things missing like for example he bought her a bunny plushy, which I think was super cute but then we never get to read how he gifts it to her. Another example would be the barbecue they have with friends. There is only that short talk he had with his best friend and not much more. It was pretty disappointing. I would really have liked to see these two couples interact with each other. Same goes for our heroines best friend. We get told that they talk but we never witness it.
I think this book could have been soooo much better if there would have been so much more.
However this wasn’t totally bad that’s why I still give this 2 stars. It has potential but the should have been put much more work into this.

Worst book

There is so much wrong with this I don't know where to start. shallow characters who have highly personal conversation with store clerks, so silly, immature. Sex scenes were stiff, not in the line of how a daddy book goes, dialogue unbelievable. Sorry I wasted time on this
Zero stars.

If I could give it a half star I would I feel really bad saying that. This book moved wayyyyyyyyyy to fast. Two days in hes already calling himself daddy and they are already sleeping together. From not being confident in the beginning pages to being so confident shes buying sexy clothes I just don't believe it. Its not a believable book and way to fast paced. If there were more pages and story line it would have been amazing. I'm gonna ready the next to see if my opinion changes also because I already bought it. Hopefully I can like the next one.

Sweet romance with lots of fun. I really enjoyed this book. I read a variety of books including the DD/lg (not always) and I feel like it's kind of hit or miss with them. This one is a hit! Loved the characters. Felt as though they were very relatable. Really got a kick out of it. Understood the whole panic/anxiety thing very well, even though I was surprised to see it described so well. This story has a lot going on and there are plenty of feels. I definitely recommend reading this book.

Gracie's Forever Daddy

This was my first book by Olivia Fox and what a hot, fast and yummy afternoon treat it was.

A little bit of Daddy kink thrown into an insta-love connection, along with some secret billionaire hunk dashed in for fun! Seriously what wasn't there to like?

I will say it could have been longer and the scenes expanded on and I wouldn't have minded one bit, but I'm a greedy reader like that 😉

Sizzling Hot Daddy is the first installment in Olivia Fox’s Lost Coast Daddies series. In it, she chronicles the romantic journey of Gracie and Luke. Gracie is staying at a friend’s place when she loses power. She contacts Luke to fix it. She does not realize that Luke is rich and owns the solar company and not a repairman. Luke is a DD and recognizes that Gracie is an Lg. He takes her to her home to take care of her. She awakens his protective and possessive streaks. To find out what happens to them, you have to read this book.

Ms. Fox does an outstanding job with this age-play romance. Ms. Fox enhances her plot by interspersing several ups and downs as her lead characters navigate their romantic journey together. The dialog is outstanding, as well as the internal monologues, that help move the plotline along. I enjoy the dual POV as it helps readers to get to know the lead characters better.

Why did I read this?! I’m not into the daddy trope at all. But someone online said it was good and honestly I figured it would be SWEET. It wasn’t.

I guess I really do not like these Daddy/LG stories. It's just not for me as they don't seem all there, emotionally. I get second hand embarrassment from how they are acting or what's being said instead of enjoying it 'cause I'm like 'REALLY !!?!?' I DNF this one
I don't wanna give a bad review because this story wasn't my style
But it was definitely immature in my opinion
The type of stuff that is said and done just doesn't fit. I guess I just don't understand how they meet someone for the very first time and then all of a sudden a daddy / LG relationship is started without talking about anything. Then all the background/side characters are also daddy/Lg relationships like why are you talking to the shop owner about making her your LG? These random people should not know about that. Maybe if they were in a club or something but this is just out in town talking to random people.
Then the FMC goes from nothing to acting like a child - I understand the LG dynamic and I get that some kinks involve treating the girl as a child - that's the type of LG dynamic I don't enjoy. Like you can still have the take care of her and stuff Daddy relationship and she still be your LG, but when you are acting as the grown man you are and wanting her to be a little girl (childish) it gets weird for me
Its just crazy how she immediately fell into the role without any knowledge.

Idk don't want my dislike of this trope to bring it down - so just because it wasn't for me doesn't mean it wouldn't be for you. I would totally still read by this author as I did like the writing style.
Just not this trope :D

Sizzling Hot Daddy by Olivia Fox was a cute and kinky read. This is a dd/lg book, with some spanking scenes. Gracie is staying at her friend's house when the generator goes out. She calls her friend, Sofie, who sends Luke to help her. Gracie ends up staying with Luke while the generator is being fixed, which will take a couple weeks. They have an instant attraction to one another. Luke is a daddy Dom and he sees that Gracie is the perfect little girl for him. I don't know whether or not Gracie knew anything about the lifestyle or had a Daddy before Luke, but it seemed that she had some awareness of the lifestyle. She had a tough childhood and acts a bit guarded at times. I was hooked at the very beginning. I liked seeing their initial meeting and then the following interactions. The middle to ending was a bit slow for me, however. I felt like a couple of scenes dragged a bit, but the ending was then too rushed. The last few scenes also didn't make sense because Gracie ends up drinking and dancing, but then is totally sober when she is with Luke later that day(? or night?). Overall, this was a cute story with a cute couple. Gracie's friend Sofie is the main character in book one of the series, which I have read and enjoyed.

Successful social media manager Gracie is a BBW who suffers from anxiety and when the lights go out and she is stuck in the darkness suffers a panic attack. Her best friend Sofie helps by sending over someone to fix the solar system right away who just happens to be hot. As soon as Luke sees Gracie he knows he is in trouble especially when she gives little girl squeaks -just right for him to go all Daddy Dom on her.

I found this a very hard book to read - the thought of calling your Dom "Daddy" is just ridiculous. I found the characters to be shallow, with very little on their thoughts and feelings outside of anything connected with sex or high-level stuff about her panic attacks. I found it weird for her to discuss very personal stuff with the woman in the dress shop and a lot was left unsaid. Just weird.

The couple: Luke and Gracie

Romance genre: DD/lg
Series: Lost Coast Daddies
Length: 88 pages

Plot: Gracie is staying at a friend's house while she gets her life together. But when the solar power goes out, her friend contacts someone to help her. Luke arrives to check on her power and they are both instantly attracted to each other. But Gracie isn't sure that Luke could really be into someone like her; she'll find out when he invites her to stay at his house after the power stays off.

Commentary: I liked that Gracie was okay with her body the way that it was and that there were places and people in town that re-emphasized that feeling. Of course there was a tiny bit of OW drama, but it was mostly an understanding. There are some stories in this series that I liked better, but this was an okay start. I did like that Luke was devious enough to not tell her when the power was fixed so that she would have to stay with him. I think something like that shows that he is really into her. I didn't like the way that a lot of the characters kept repeating each other's names - I don't like that in real life either (How are you today Bob? Well, Jim, I'm just great. Glad to hear it Bob)

Next book in the series: Heal Me Daddy

Childish, and I don’t mean the Daddy-little girl dynamic. Have you ever talked to a child who has just learned about important things and they assume you know nothing about them so they explain them in super simple terms? And also they can’t stay focused on one issue so they try to cram everything into one short conversation? That’s what this story is like. Native American justice, body image, foster care, homelessness, children of alcoholics, healthy relationships, healthy boundaries, the importance of a designated driver, why daddy kink is a good thing, and how the sub is in control is D/s relationships, all in under 100 pages. Unsurprisingly, with all that going on little bits of the storyline are dropped and forgotten without ever going anywhere, and the sex scenes feel rushed.

Insecurities by MeemsAngel82

This was a short and interesting read with a girl who knew what she wanted but felt like she didn't have it all right in her world yet. This H was a good man and found the right girl with her.

She needed a place to stay and found a Daddy.

The one who took care of her and was definitely for her interests. The writing style is unusual and I do wish for more background on the characters first. Also the initial connection was good but I wanted more build up and for them to talk before thinking of necessarily being together. I felt that there are a lot of great concepts in this story, but maybe we needed more time to flesh them out. He is so good to her and after what these two have been through, good for them that they found their HEA together.

A. New Read

This is my first book by This author. This book surprised me with how quick the storybook off
Luke and Grace meet one night a d with in the next few days the were in hots for each other. I can't tell if that is good or bad. I r will totally depend on the individual reader. Yes there was plenty heat from both the characters. As I said anew author and since I always try at least two books before I might not satisfie my mind as to what the author is having me as the reader travel down her road. So I leave it up to you to give Luke and Grace and Olivia a turn of the pages.

I really tried but this book…..

I really don’t like to say anything bad about how a books written, how an author can write, but I just can’t with this book… the writing it’s like those dirty pours that people do on TikTok and YouTube, a bunch of “daddy kink” ideas thrown into a cup, then flipped over and made into a book. The spanking scene made no sense:

She wasn’t work up emotionally not able to control her self
They weren’t having a Dom scene
They hadn’t had a heated argument
She hadn’t done anything like break a rule or was even in a relationship with him

Nothing.. he just decided she needed a spanking… I just kept saying that’s not how this works.

Gracie is a 20s something girly girl who has grown up in foster care and has PTSD like trauma. She has a good job and is staying at her best friends house. The solar panels stop working and her friend sends a friend to work on them. Enter Luke, he’s older than Gracie, a multi-millionaire solar mogul and sexy as sin. One look at Gracie’s curves and he’s inviting her to stay in his guest room while the house is being fixed. He knows he wants to be her Daddy badly.

This is a super steamy quick story featuring a curvy babygirl lead and a sexy Daddy who wants to protect and love his princess. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Not sure why I keep reading Olivia Fox books. They are not DD/lg. there is no age play. They seem more like men who want to be called daddy (but not in a P$do way) and women who like being spanked

I hate when there is no talons consent or limits.
MMC calls himself daddy and spanks FMC with a crop after knowing her one day

She is anxiety ridden but no discussion on why or how it’s treated

OW says she is pregnant with his baby and that’s it. No mention of her again and FMC just says ok because he was nice.

Grace Meets Luke

This is the story of Grace and Like entering into a Daddy/Little relationship. Grace is for me, a lost, confused woman. It was touched upon briefly why she has panic attacks, but I still felt confused really as to why, and if they weren't used more for drama. I did enjoy the book overall, but wished I read the prequel first. So don't not read this, because of my comments, it just could be me.

Ugh, I can't stand it when every little action and thought, their cause and effects are explained in detail again and again as if the reader doesn't have half a brain.
And the "Daddies" reaction to her panic attack is going to a therapy session himself and then being dumbfounded that he is supposed to talk about himself and fix his own problems and then he later on is even more confused that the FMC has panic attacks because her life was harder than his. Jeez.

Hot Daddy🔥🔥💋💋

I love this story. I was hooked from the beginning of the book. Gracie is amazing. She is sweet, pretty, smart and nice. She gets scared when the lights go out in her rental. Luke is hot. He is rich, smart and unexpected. Luke to the rescue. Their journey is off the charts hot and finally get their happy ever after. This is my first time reading from Olivia and she did an amazing job on the writing. Great work Olivia Fox!

It's a really good book, but I think the story missed communication between the main characters. She never told him about her past he learned it from his best friend and he never told her about his business, she learned it from her friend. I think they should tell each other and hear it from other people.

Okay

I seriously expected more drama and detail to this. I mean I loved the story, but when a conflict is introduce you kind of expect there to be more of an issue then this had. I mean if the ex was a snake she wouldn't have just fucked off after the bathroom scene and never came back.
