Its a fun Halloween read but it just didn't give me the original Captain Underpants vibe I was looking for and the flip-o-ramas were greatly missed! I was a huge captain underpants fan growing up so you could imagine my excitement seeing this in store. The stickers inside is really fun and the story was cute and some good silly jokes in there and a good moral of the story it just didnt have the same vibe I know and loved.
The kids are very excited for Halloween, until Mr. Krupp and Melvin plans to make it an illegal holiday. Fortunately, George and Harold gave an interesting idea - they will turn Halloween into HACK-A-WEEN. It has spin-offs of their costumes, different snacks, and alternative decorations that looks like the traditional Halloween. Will George's and Harold's Hack-A-Ween plan become a success?
This book is a graphic novel-like adaptation of The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants Hack-A-Ween Special on Netflix, which I've seen it already. After watching this, I went to read this book and has some modifications in it. Surprisingly, it was also on New York Times Bestselling List in Graphic Novels category!
Who could possibly hate Halloween? Apparently a lot of people! It’s up to the boys and their friends to find a way to hack Halloween to save it! Captain Underpants is called in for an assist!
