”Where do you live Lyssa?” I asked, watching her soft mouth pop open at my use of her name.
“I…um.” She shifts in her chair. “W-we live together. I live with Mason.”
“Yup!” A smile spreads across Mason’s face. “We’re roommates.” Immediately, he backpedals. “I-I mean, not just roommates, obviously…”
“No, we’re much more than that,” Lyssa supplies, nodding at my son encouragingly. This is like watching a bad sitcom. They’re both terrible liars.
“We’re like, all the things,” Mason says finally.
Lyssa smiles brightly. “All of them!”

This author obviously has a type. Good thing it's also my type:

The female is also always the same. 3 books now, all blonde, all pretty and petite. All virgins. Whatevs. As long as they're not annoying, I don't care.

I feel like I could maybe get into something else by this author based on the writing style, so I'll try again, but this was so syrupy sweet and cheesy and has the most surreal insta-love I've ever read in my life. Literally within an hour or two of meeting, I think, was the first time the hero internally professed his undying love and devotion to the heroine, and my eyebrows hit the roof, y'all. 😬 It's not for me.

I wanted something quick and dirty and this author is good for that. But she does daddy kink which is a big no for me, but luckily this one didn't have it. Win, in my book. LOL
Entertaining enough if not totally eye-roll worthy. Most of her books are of course with an OTT hero with his obsession for the heroine. Insta-luv at its finest. If you're looking for something fast with very little substance and some smexy times, then this one is will check those boxes.

If you are looking for super hot stories the Jessa Kane is honestly one of the best. She’s certainly keeping me going with Alexa Riley not currently being around.

Oof... this is definitely not my thing...
I don't have much to say about this because it's super short and I was honestly skim reading by the end. It's a goal of mine to read outside my comfort zone more in 2020 and this was my first attempt. I don't read really short, smutty romances and I definitely don't think I'll be reading any more in the future.
This was just an insta-love, sexy story with the lamest "plot" ever. Everything seemed so overdone and obvious and I just couldn't get into this at all. The male MC was so overly masculine and obnoxious and I HATE the innocent, virgin, I-need-protecting-by-a-big-strong-man trope for women in romance. Blech.
Safe to say this genre just isn't for me.

I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I expected?! Lyssa and John were truly goners the second they laid eyes on each other, their romance was insta-lovey, passionate, and so so sweet. Just thinking about them makes me break into a goofy smile. I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of Jessa Kane! 4 Stars!
