Blockchain 2035: The Digital DNA of Internet 3.0

Rate this book
The 2020s and 2030s will be witness to some of the most rapid, significant, and tumultuous changes in world history. The monetary and information systems that defined the late 20th and early 21st centuries will face their natural limits in the coming decade and quickly get disrupted by swift technological innovation. This time of crisis will define the remainder of the 21st century, much as 1914-1945 defined the 20th century.

By the mid-2020s, the entire world will have become embroiled in the collapse of a sovereign debt bubble that has been building since the breakdown of the Bretton Woods system in 1971. At the same time, nation-states and corporations will struggle with the limitations of a fundamentally insecure internet, where emerging technologies and threats will redefine the backbone of commerce and governance.

Blockchain technology is key to how this process evolves, as it offers a way to re-architect both the monetary system and the internet networks, devices, and systems our world operates on. This revolution includes everything, from applications for business, government, and democracy, to emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things and even Quantum computing. Blockchain will be a vital tool in how nation-states, corporations, and individuals compete with each other and exercise power in this brave new world.

Blockchain 2035 is the first book of its kind, written by the founder of a battle-tested blockchain and a former intelligence analyst. These two perspectives address both the technical and political impacts that this technology will have and how it will be pivotal in the broader world.

I read 2/3rds of it before giving up. I have never before tried to read a book with as many grammatical and typographic errors in it as this one. There must have been at least one error per page on average in my copy. It appears it was never proof read before being printed.

There were some interesting ideas presented but it felt rather poorly structured - aside from the errors, it desperately needed a good editor to refine it into something more cohesive. It frequently went off on odd tangents that didn’t have much relevance to the main topic. Hopefully at some point they will put out a revised edition which has been given more careful attention, but as it stands I can’t recommend it.

This book is a kind of Blockchain guide and has been created as an overview of the Blockchain from start to future. Everybody who wants to get a clue with blockchain and its philosophy will find this book useful. If you use technological topics in your life, you can easily understand the narration and verbal part of the book. Blockchain 2035, gears toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide with starts from basic terms to advanced properties and future visions. For more advanced trainees it can be a reference and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with blockchain environment and its’ applications. It is also focused on philosophy and future impact.

One of the main themes in this book is that the blockchain is the product of decades of developments in computing and cryptography, and that these systems are just as evolutionary as they are revolutionary. The purpose in this book is to provide a helpful forecast for the pathways that this new technology might take as it comes into maturity. Blockchain 2035 focuses impact of Blockchain from history to future, not only on technology but also whole human life, politics and world.
Blockchain technology can fix a vast majority of today’s existing cybersecurity vulnerabilities across all industries, and in a way that benefits everyone, from large businesses to individual users. This extends to the country level - from international trade to finance and elections and, most importantly, the fundamental way the global internet works. Our digital future will live on a blockchain.
The book covers both theoretical principles and practical applications on Blockchain system. Book starts with blockchain basic terms and terminology especially for new Blockchain users, then continues with technical features of system like cryptography and proof of work. The effect of trusted blockchain systems are mentioned on spectrum of time and technology on untrusted internet environment. Blockchain restructures the internet, provides IOT security and prepares infrastructure for artificial intelligence.
Blockchain 2035, gives dozens of applications about financial, commercial or government. First it gives a brief overview of survey of blockchain protocols and project, then inform reader about secure and decentralized protocols to start a new blockchain project, which is named as “Blockchain 2035 Rubric” in the book.
For the future vision part of the book, it starts with unreliable economic system because current system will be faced their natural limits in the coming decade and quickly get disrupted by swift technological innovation on blockchain. Improvements will affect both governments and individuals. The new system triggers not only new economy, but also taxation, privacy and voting in a borderless world with a different understanding of wealth. Lastly, the book touches on Quantum computing, cryptography as active feature on blockchain.

Blockchain 2035 is written by the founder of a blockchain and a former intelligence analyst. Two perspectives address both the technical and political impacts. The book inspires reader by covering philosophy of blockchain from formation to foresight.

Blockchain 2035 takes the reader on an impressive journey guided by someone who has been at the forefront from the early beginnings of Bitcoin and cryptoassets, into the past, present and future of this emerging technology.

This insiders view of the space is well worth exploring and offers the reader invaluable insights from a variety of fields and exciting tangents. I only wish I could share what seems to be the author's greater faith that blockchain will aid in securing the freedoms of people, the Bible predicts a much different scenario, where none can buy or sell save those with the "mark," and blockchain/DLT is an ideal technology to enforce this restriction. But until then there is great potential to benefit both technologically and financially.

While the content of this book easily merits 5 stars, the book is riddled with distracting typos and formatting anomalies too numerous not to discount. More care should have been taken to proofread the text. That being said, Blockchain 2035 is still highly recommended material.
