I enjoyed most of the stories, and liked the characters. However, there were a ridiculous number of errors throughout the book. Not only were there grammar errors, and poorly constructed sentences; but, the author(s) didn't even keep up their own storylines. Sometimes, the wrong person's name was used. The most jarring was when the author kept mistakenly referring to Marionette's fiance as her husband, even when talking about making plans for their wedding and engagement party. When books are published before being proofread and edited, it detracts from the storylines. I ended up feeling like I should have been paid for editing, after I spent lots of time suggesting corrections. I hope that the author goes back and edits the stories, since I'm probably not the only q to have spotted the many errors.
Quite enjoyable read but as a Scot if like to point out a male from Scotland is a Scotsman not a Scottish man. Trying to write a Scottish accent was so bad it grated on my nerves e.g. We do not say "ya" .It would have been perfectly ok to portray him speaking ordinary English. Please never try to do it again.Spoiled those stories for me.
Very unlikable main character. Always smirking, elbowing people, nosey and rude. Please fix wedding dress book chapters nine and ten especially. Character names all mixed up. Other parts too.
The Story Tree set wasn't too bad, although the main character's bolshie nosiness got on my nerves.
The Cruise Ship set started the downward spiral. Ridiculous to think murders on a cruise ship would a) happen so regularly b) be so expertly solved by a civilian
Petite Savannah - absolute rubbish. So many proof reading errors! Incorrect grammar/words. Referring to Tom as Marionette's husband before they got married. Sometimes using the wrong character's name. Worse of all was changing Molly to Holly in Deadly Wedding. The ridiculous attempt at writing a Scottish accent had me cringing. Far too many people smirking. Does the author even know the definition/meaning of the word? How many people do you know who sing their conversations? Civilians being included in murder investigations and actually solving them ahead of the police? Marionette getting involved in the investigation of her own husband's murder the day after it happened? Get real!!!
Silent Fright - a bit of frivolous fantasy that was a light relief.

I chose this middle if the road rating because there were times I really enjoyed the characters -other times too many characters for me to keep straight! The stories were pretty good with a few stinkers thrown in. The biggest reason for the three stars was the editing, which gets worse as you get further in. Then the author changes and things are not so bad! This set of 20 "books" is a compilation of stories from 5-7 authors. Too many to write an intelligent review on like they were one book.
As there were 20 books/stories in one it is hard to rate. The first 19 stories ran along the same line or plot. The last story was strictly fantasy. There is nothing wrong with fantasy I was just expecting the story to be the same as the first 19. The first 19 held my interest and the plot moved smoothly. The last story was actually cute but totally unexpected.
An enjoyable array of mysterys and caracters so diverse in in nature, brought together through mystery, mayhem and sometimes murder, making for an entertaining and enlightnig read readers.Aquier collection of twenty " Cozy Mysteries "today so you yourself can enjoy reading it as much as I have. 🙄☺Kat
Fine for a bedtime read that I could enjoy without having it keep me up late. Better copy editing would have caught misspelled and wrong or misused words. "Smirked" is oddly overused, and some of the factual errors were jarring. I stuck with it until a parakeet mated with a pigeon and layed eggs that.hatched the next day. Whaaaat?
I really enjoyed reading this 20 book box set of cozy mysteries. I just wish there was one more book with Marionette and Kris (whether they got married or not) and if the relationship between Molly and Jack continued along with solving more mysteries in this box set. I would recommend this box set to anyone who likes reading cozy mysteries.
What a wonderful collection of cozy mystery stories! I thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of the reading! If YOU love a great cozy book, then this box set will be a delight! I highly recommend it!
The stories were very entertaining and the characters were fun to get to know, I would have given it a higher rating but the editing wasn't the greatest, the names were all mixed up and I sometimes had a difficult time figuring out who was who
Story line wasn’t bad but dreadful grammar and an even worse written Scottish accent. The author needs to lookup the definition of smirking. I skipped most of the pages mainly to get to the end of book
While these are cute stories, they're really not that easy to read. There are way too many typos. When you see sentences that start "Bridget handed Bridget a dress..." Or, Molly keeps changing to Holly. It gets a bit confusing as to who is actually doing what.
There are four sets of books in this set Each set was very entertaining and different from the other. If you enjoy cozy mysteries then this a must read.
From Clary Saint James to Snowball, the very strange, actually, extremely strange cat story. I don't read paranormal stories, which is why Lori lost a star on this anthologies. The mystery is why that last story was included in such a fine anthology of mystery stories.
I like your books because they are real mix of different personalities that you meet every day. The are fun and you get to forget about your own self for a while.
Wonderful book about friends, relatives and lovers. The kindred spirit of helping and giving resonates from the pages! This is a must read for a truly great story!
You really did a great job with the beginning and end.I really got into all the stories and didn't want to stop. Thanks for sharing them with me keep them coming.
