A Different Side, Part 2

Rate this book
Lexi is everything I need and exactly what I’ve been missing.
She has filled all the missing pieces and made me whole.
Problem is the demons in my head tell me she’s too good for me and I don’t deserve her.
Her parents also don’t approve of me and are threatening to expose some of my past that would permanently get me kicked out of Park Hill University and off the football team, forever.

I have to decide is Lexi worth risking it all? Even football and my future career as a pro player?

This is Part 2 and an awesome continuation of A Different Side - Raven and Lexi’s story.

Things aren’t easy for Raven and Lexi. Being an outstanding quarterback doesn’t mean he doesn’t have secrets and problems of his own. Raven is battling the demons from his past, voices inside his head, people’s negative thoughts about him and so much more. Lexi wants nothing more than to have Raven in her life but that’s not so easy when others try forcing them apart. Things go downhill for Raven even more when going to a house party ends up with him in the hospital. Now he must face the consequences and hope having Lexi by his side will make him strong enough to make it through anything he must face going foreword.

This is not a stand-alone. You will need to read part one before and part three after in order to get Raven and Levi’s story in its entirety.

Highly Recommend

Warning.......this book has a cliffhanger at the end. Oh my Goodness, I thought I would absolutely die if I did not immediately read the next book. That is how I was sucked into the story and I absolutely loved it. The story starts off sweet and cute and morphs into something else with the amount of twists and turns the story takes you on. Great read, C.M Doporto strikes again and makes sure that you stay glued to the spot. Loved the emotional connection with the characters and how the story grew and became more mature. Real life does not always go as smoothly as you would like......

This book had me glued from cover to cover. I can't say I didn't want to put it down a couple of times. Raven has so much past hurt, but when is enough, enough?!

Okay your a hoebag. Get your life together. Get your shit straight homie. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I swear, I don't think I have cursed at a book this much in a while. I kinda want to leave the book as is with a decent lying ending. 🤔 Let's see if I can tackle book 3.

Book 2 is fast paced, the heat factor increases and it has twists you won’t see coming. This is a roller coaster at its best!

Although Raven and Lexi have established themselves as a couple “the chase” continues to a degree. Raven second guesses himself and Lexi finds new ways to challenge that and prove they belong together.
Raven still struggles and tortures himself over making wrong choices and always realizing too late especially when it comes to Lexi. Lexi makes Raven want to be a better person and make the right choices but he lacks the self confidence and always thinks he isn’t good enough.
Lexi finally takes a stand with her parents controlling rules & beliefs - which was mainly her mother and escapes their home to be at Ravens side rushing to the hospital.
This was such a fast pace read with something going on at every turn. It was impossible to put down and i NEED the third book immediately! I can’t get enough of Raven and Lexi. I’m definitely caught in The Ravens Trap.
