Pawn.
Diamond princess.
Prey.

Since I can remember, I’ve been a pawn in someone’s game.
Danger was looming but never enough to harm me.
Until now.
Then he came along. My new bodyguard. The only person who saw past my edges.
Meanwhile, I was rooted deep in a web of deception, trying to save myself.
He was supposed to protect me and keep me from harm's way. Just like everyone else, he wanted to break me.
Now we’ve both been thrown into a game neither one of us wanted to play.
I was taught to be unbreakable like a diamond. I was a diamond, and diamonds don't break.

General Review:
I LOVED THIS
To be honest I only picked this up for the smut and expected to hate everything else but THIS MIGHT BE ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITE BOOKS.

This is a dark romance (by dark I mean pitch black) about Ember Remington, heiress to the biggest diamond empire, and Ren Falcon her new bodyguard, and assassin. Ember poses as the irresponsible spoiled bratty drug, and party addict, but maybe there's more to her than that. Every time she gets a bodyguard she forces him to quit or gets him fired but Ren, her new bodyguard, hates her and isn't as easily manipulated by her charms. Ren Falcon is dangerous and secretive and normally calm and precise but Ember keeps pushing his buttons and he's determined to get her in line. There's an irresistible attraction between them and many secrets that will make or break them.

I think a big part of why I loved this was the fact that the characters don't try to excuse their shittiness. It's basically just 'yeah we're both fucked up and fucking each other. She's a bitch, he's an asshole, we love it and we're accepting it. THE SMUT AND THE BANTER LEADING UP TO IT ARE SO FUCKING GOOD. THE SLOW BURN, THE EDGING, THE INSULTS, THE VIOLENCE IS JUST ALL SO PERFECT.

When a book becomes my favorite it's usually because it just makes me feel so much all the time AND THIS BOOK SERVED. I was just on high alert needing to know what happens next all the time but also wanting to slow down and absorb everything I'm reading.

While a lot of things were a bit disturbing I feel like it's done in a very real way because some of these things do in fact happen.

The worldbuilding and pacing were also so well done. I've been reading so many fast-paced things lately its been messing with my mind but this sort of settled me down. It's very action-packed in a way that makes sense.

Characters:
Ember - I know we were meant to sort of hate her attitude in the beginning but I never did because I just knew it would make sense at some point and it definitely did. I just love her and her character development.
Ren - The way he hated Ember for no reason at first sort of annoyed me but then I got used to his vibe and I NOW LOVE THIS MOODY ASSHOLE HE CAN DO ANYTHING HE WANTS BECAUSE HE DOES IN FACT OWN ME. He's so supportive of Ember too😭 Sexy hitman is very lovable.
Gideon - Love me a sexy tatted British hitman 😫 (truly Ember and Ren are actually so stupid for refusing that threesome) would let him do unholy things to me
Dr. Wozniak - This man is a true hero honestly
Silas - THIS LITTLE BITCH CAN GO DIE IN A FUCKING WHOLE BECAUSE HE IS ONE OF THOSE CHARACTERS I WOULD LOVE TO TEAR APART AND TORTURE WITH MY BARE HANDS I ACTUALLY LOATHE HIM
Pam - CAN GO DIE IN A HOLE WITH SILAS

Favorite Scenes:(spoilers)
- BANTER
- Ren taking away Ember's drugs
- When they got up late at night and just sat together
- Ren gets Ember the scalpel to protect herself
- Ember touching herself in the back of the car/on the counter as Ren is watching
- Ren getting Ember her shampoo because he missed her smell
- Ren finds Ember again (both times)
- The game when they bet Ember
- Gideon giving Ember back to Ren (and what followed...)
- Ember being jealous of Pam
- Ren killing Pam and Silas
- THE PROPOSAL HEKDVHKED

The authors note is the author telling her readers if you need a trigger warning then this isn't the book for you and the author doesn't really believe in them anyway. (Whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean.) Also that her main character is a bitch and her male lead is a jerk and if you love getting mind fucked then you're totally in the right place, my dude. *moshing ensues*

Where's my sharpie so I can go write poetry about death on my converse?

Excuse me but genuinely what the fuck? Did i just make a pact with an emo teen vampire.😂 Sorry, high mistress. I didn't realize we had to bring our pronged collars and sandals filled with crushed glass this afternoon.

This felt like a strange fever dream of dropping expensive designer brands that I think were supposed to impress me or... the people in the story??? Idk. I'm not really sure. We open it with a million tumblr-esque sections like a playlist for your reading pleasure, a few badass quotes about being badass, a gritty prologue where our MC gets dicked down by a guy she hates and then tries to order someone off the dark web to kill him. All very dark and dangerous and just totally fucking lit. *moshing intensifies*

Then we flash forward and our totally rad MC has made her way to a night club because that's what bitchy MCs do. They go to night clubs. Not only do they go to night clubs but they also know the bouncer and cut everyone in line because they are edgy and they know that life isn't fair. (Because life isn't fair, MONICA. Jesus look at my Prada bag and know your place, you pleeb) At least that's what Ember 🔥 tells the people who dare to criticism her after she opens her fancy pants Amy Wang (? Wouldn't know because I'm too poor and also not badass enough) purse to get one of her death sticks out (that's the super badass way to say cigarettes, btw. Didnt know that until Ember 🔥 told me.)

You know when you watch the Kardashians and you're just kind of sitting there wondering how much farther from their reality you could be? There was NOTHING about this MC that I found relatable or even likable. That might have been a rollover from the oddly snotty author's note but since I'm poor and... well, that was a massive part of it. Ember was classist as well as oddly confrontational.

The whole thing reminded me of my early 2000 teen years. I felt like I was back on my school bus listening to emo music while I imagined a life in which I was rich but somehow still angry at the world.

But I digress. Let me take it back to a place with less eyeliner and leather clothing accessories.

My main issue started even before I started this book. Authors completely hold the right to put a trigger warning if they want to or if they don't want to. It's their material. What most authors realize however is that the people who read your work should be taken care of. What most authors realize is that trigger warnings are used in romances like this because the grittier aspects of their books are real life for some people.

Those rape scenes? They've happened to people.

Those suicides or self-harm scenes? They've been contemplated if not attempted by most people.

Those racial slurs and hate-speech thrown around like candy floss sometimes? That's the real reality of people's lives.

Trigger warnings are there for the people that aren't ready to read about the days that their bodies were violated.

An authors words have power. And it kind of just blew my mind that the smallest attempt at protecting the people that are consuming your material was so beneath this one.

Let's start by saying this book is everything I want and need in a dark romance book. Every time I read a new book by C. Lymari, I say "This is her best book yet" well Falcon's Prey is her "best book yet". She delivered a masterpiece and this book it's absolute perfection.
This book is deliciously sexy, dark, steamy, intense and full of surprises that keep me at the edge of my sit with no nails to bite. (literally)
I had the pleasure to Beta read this book. Funny story I received this book in two parts. The first night Claudia send me this book I though "I'll read a chapter or two and go to sleep". Well that didn't happened. I stood until 2:00am reading it, I couldn't stop. I devoured this book , Ember and Ren took me through a roller coaster of emotions and I felt in love with these characters. The chemistry between them was incredible, two broken souls trying to survive in a world where power is everything. When I got part two of the book, I was like WOW!!! WHY DIDN'T CLAUDIA WRITE DARK ROMANCE BEFORE?. The second part was more intense than the first one and I LOVED everything about it.
I love Ember so so much , she is my CHICA. To the rest of the world she shows she is a spoiled rich brat but deep inside she is so much more. She carries so much guilt but has an amazing heart.
Ren is such a mysterious, alpha male that comes into Ember's life with a mission that he is determine to follow through.
So in conclusion this book is A MUST READ!
This book is so much more than 5 stars to me .

Miss Lymari is a new to me author and what a way to Initiate me into her world. I have heard that Falcon’s Prey is her first foray into a dark romance. If this is the case, hello, sign me up for more.

Falcon’s Prey is unlike anything I have read before. It is everything you would want in a dark read. It is wicked, delicious, mysterious, and filled with heart stopping drama and thrills. The overall storyline is incredibly addicting. I completely lost track of time and space and if it was not for my hubs/dogs, I probably would have just kept reading. The plotline that she has mapped out was brilliant!

C. Lymari had a perfect blend of characters. Ren😍, oh Ren, he is a jerk and Ember is truly a bitch, but this is what works for them (besides exterior beauty/hotness) is the combustible nature that they exude. They are both hiding secrets and mix this in with their personalities and you get an explosive couple. Their storyline is somewhat relatable. Am I a spoiled, misunderstood, and selfish diamond princess? No, I am not, but it is the situational and emotional aspects of this book that make it relatable to people (the same goes for Mr. Ren Falcon).

"Ren Falcon wasn't a great guy--h*ll he wasn't even a good guy. He was an a**hole, but he was worried about me."

Now if you are into the ‘sweet, make you feel good romances’, this may not be the book for you, but is you’ve been dying to step into the dark pool, Falcon’s Prey, may be right for you. Overall, I loved every aspect of this book. I was peeved and wanted to throw my kindle, I also wanted to be their personal cheerleader and of course, I thought I was their personal six, but that was only in my mind. Falcon’s Prey is worth every star!!

"Ember Remington was beauty wrapped in sadness and sealed with hatred."

Buckle up because you are in for a hell of an intense ride with this one!

C. Lymari spins her words in a way that the reader is RIGHT there in the story. From the animosity, the pent up sexual tension, to the hope and despair, C. Lymari writes this story so that I can feel everything these characters are feeling.

Ember just wants the one thing she's never had - affection. As tough as she is, she makes the reader remember that words do cut like a knife. It's her decision to throw up walls made me, the reader, respect her and feel for her.

This story is about two damaged souls that feel solace with each other that they've never felt with anyone else before. It's suspenseful and angsty. Just when I thought C. Lymari had written the darkest part of the story, she would go darker.

C. Lymari is one of those authors that just has that touch where they can write anything and make it a stellar read! From contemporary to young adult/new adult and now to dark romance, everything that I've read of her's has been either 4 or 5 star reads!

You are a diamond, and diamonds don't break.

Falcon's Prey is C. Lymari's first dark romance, and what a way to debut. Darkly delicious and compelling, Ren and Ember's story grabbed me from the first page and didn't let go. I fell in love with the diamond heiress and her sinfully sexy bodyguard, and their twisted love story.

This book had everything I love in a dark romance - off the charts hot, perfectly flawed characters I could relate to, mystery, passion, and violence, and a story I got lost in. Raw, relatable, and steamy - Ember was the broken princess that clawed her way back to the top, and Ren was the hot AF alpha antihero. Together, their fire had the pages of my kindle melting.

Falcon's Prey left me with the biggest book hangover, and if you haven't read this, you're missing out.

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

So the book begins with,

“He was her dark fairytale and she was his twisted fantasy. And together they made magic.”

This book starts off with like mfs fucking and her being like abt to hire someone to kill someone but then being like nahh and I’m like confused but whatevs, then the girl going to a club or smthg and is just

“That’s not fair!” some girl whined. “We’ve been here for an hour.”
I turned around, grinning at the girl while she glared at me. To drive the point home, I opened my Alexander Wang clutch and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. I lit my death stick, took a puff, and turned to her, blowing the smoke in her direction.
“It’s the way of the world, kid. Life. Is. Not. Fair.”
I walked in while the bouncer shook his head. I heard the girls call me a bitch, and without turning around, I stuck my middle finger out. Once inside the club, I made my way to the VIP section. I didn’t come here to make friends.”

Like girl being a bitch literally to just be a bitch and she’s just like classist and like just an asshole for no actual reason like 😭

“Ren gave me a disgusted look. “Listen, darling, I’m here to protect your body and nothing more. I’m not your maid. Next time you want something, get off your ass.”
“Wow,” I said in amusement. “The help has jokes.” Then I got serious. “You are nothing. You got hired to protect me because, unlike you, I am somebody. So let this be the last time you speak to me like you and I are on the same level.”
My headache was still there, and this asshole was making it worse. The damn bag in my hand was making its way through my system painfully slowly.
“Don’t bite off the hand that feeds you.”
He sneered at me. “Listen, diamond princess. Your daddy signs my checks, not you.”
“Out. Of. My. Sight.”
“With pleasure.” He rose to his feet and left me alone.
For the first time, there was someone who didn’t drop to their knees for my so-called beauty.”

Girl idc, then there’s just this

“The girl had a fucking glittery bong. Still, I watched with avid fascination as Ember took a hit, then threw her head back and closed her eyes as if she wanted the world to disappear.
She was one fucking train wreck, and all of a sudden, it felt like I’d just walked myself on board the crazy train.
Just then, my cell phone pinged with a text from Pam.
Pam: So, how’d it go?
Pam and I were old associates, you could say.
Me: I’m in.
Pam: Don’t fuck it up.
Pam knew just like I did what it felt like to be the dirt beneath people’s shoes. We’d grown up together. Well, as together as two orphans could. We’d fought, lied, and bled our way out of the gutters.
Me: I won’t.
Ember Remington was just another stop to my endgame.”

Blah blah dark past idc but girl has a glittery bong⁉️⁉️⁉️ this spitting facts tho

“As children, we do we love our parents unconditionally, even if they don’t deserve it.”

SO TRUE BESTIE. Than on page 28 we get what’s probably gonna be her main thing for this book

“Trust me, darling, if it weren’t for the fact that I was getting paid to be here, I would never bother with the likes of you.”
Ouch. That hurt. It picked at a wound that I’d had for a long time, but hell if I’d let him know.
“Don’t worry, bodyguard,” I spat. “You’ll be out of a job soon enough.”

No one likes her just for her and not for her money, no one knows the real her blah blah idc. And guys ren is poor

“This girl had everything at her fingertips, yet she treated her life like it was nothing. I grew up a charity case, bouncing between foster homes because my mother was a junkie whore, and my father was a drunk con man. They only got their shit together enough to get custody back and cash a few checks. From a young age, I had to fend for myself. Learn how to survive on the streets because it was either I became street smart or ended up dead.
Drugs? I didn’t touch them. There was already enough shit that could kill me. I didn’t need to add a useless habit to the list.”

He’s poor guys damn. Then this thing happened

“Listen, I’ll give you five hundred bucks. Take it and buy yourself something nice.”
Ren laughed. He then took his arm from behind his back and pulled a Glock and aimed it at Zeke’s face. I bit my lip to stop myself from grinning. Finally, a guard that wasn’t a pussy.”

Okay king

“Well, dipshits are usually the ones who end up on the news for raping women,” I growled.
To her credit, Ember didn’t flinch or react. Instead, her eyes went vacantly .
“Real monsters don’t get caught,” she mumbled, leaving me too dumbfounded to say anything else.”

Okay deep queen

Anyways let’s get into my thoughts

Everything abt this book is bad, the writing is god awful, the plot is non existent, the characters r not developed and r instead given random trauma things that r used in an attempt to develop the story for like two seconds and then dropped when I guess the author gets bored ? There’s a bunch of weird sex not talking abt kinks but I mean rape Thats passed off as fine cuz main dude is hot. The romance is so rushed I was literally like thinking they were still enemies and all of a sudden mf was like “she’s so captivating I loved her since I saw her blah blah” and I was like so when the fuck did that happen bc...Also the main girl is like a classist bitch and like just needs to shhhhh like I’m begging. Also I was confused bc randomly at the end they introduced a plot sorta and like there was some secret assassin ish agency and some fucking enforced woman and I was like one wtf is goin on and 2 huhhh. Like it was so clear there was some other book I was missing that sounded more intresting than this but anyways. Overall the book sucked ass.

As per C.Lymari and her warning to expect a jerk and a bitchy heroine, I knew this book was going to be a hit. This is unlike anything she has written, and one of her absolute best! Amazing.

The romance was definitely a slow burner but the sexual tensions runs throughout the entire book. Falcons Prey succeeds in setting hearts racing, causing emotional rollercoaster and making you wishing you had your own Ren.

Everytime you think you're safe, Claudia pulls the rug out beneath your feet. Ren is seriously mysterious, mind numbingly attractive, oozing sex appeal yet makes me want to run for the hills! I wanted so hard to pity Ember for her past and present but she did not want my pity, she is as fierce as Ren with a sharp tongue and a bratty attitude to match. Ren reveals her inch by inch and we soon see the real Ember, not just Ember Remington, the diamond Princess.

And the ending...damn. I hope to see you soon Gideon🥵

If rating it 0 stars could be possible, I would do it in a heartbeat. The book looks promising, but as we get to read the first 100 pages you already know that it won't get better... It won't stop being shit. I'm sorry for every poor soul that read this book, there's better out there. Dark romance as a genere is hard to write, we must understand that there's limits. Respect is a big thing. You can't expect to disrespectfully add mental disorders, addiction and rape, discribe it as a 15 year old horny teenage boy that wanks to this shit and call it a day. Please understand that there are ways of writing sensitive things as these. I am so scared that so many people liked this...

When you handle sensitive topics like this, you must understand that portraying them improperly could have a serious negative impact on more impressionable readers.

(I didn't finish the book because everything started to collapse. The plot was a mess, the characters kept getting worse and worse, literally speaking, no progression. Things just started to not make sense)

UGH YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW is the moral of the story here.

I THINK I'M THE ONLY ODD DUCK HERE AMONG THE RAVING REVIEWS BECAUSE SERIOUSLY, I SUPER DUPER DISLIKED *LOATHED* THE FEMALE LEAD.

MY REACTION WHEN I MET EMBER :

description

OKAY, TO BE FAIR I DID NOT FINISHED THE BOOK. I TRIED. I PUSHED MYSELF TO FINISH READING PART 1, AND I HONESTLY FOUND NOTHING TO LIKE ABOUT HER. I ENJOY READING DARK ROMANCES...BUT I SERIOUSLY DOUBTED THIS ONE FALLS INTO THAT GENRE OR CATEGORY, AT LEAST NOT THE KIND I ENJOY BECAUSE THIS STORY SCREAMS IMMATURITY.

description

POINTS as to why I couldn't enjoy or like the story :

1. Ember is the epitome of a spoilt, rich girl - bratty, a slut and so fucking weak. This is my inner prude talking but I seriously don't like it when the female or male leads put out too much, like more than one night stands. Ember makes a point to seduce and fuck any man she can get her hands on JUST BECAUSE SHE CAN, and she's an attention seeker because she got Daddy Issues. That's IMMATURITY if I ever saw it coming. A real woman would take life by the balls and MAN UP and OWN IT. Hello, this is fiction, Ember can be tough as fuck if she wants to be. She should have been woman enough to say no to Silas, her uncle she's fucking and step up her game in the company. Be a career driven woman or something.

description

2. Ember is fucking her step-uncle who has something over her head. The fucking part doesn't even faze me, come on it was hot. BUT, what I can't stand is how she acted like a kicked puppy around Silas who obviously holds more control in their twisted relationship. Anyway, you reap what you sow. She started it off with him, allowing him into her body and allowing him to treat her like shit and goes back for more. So bitch, don't complain, and don't cry about it. You let the monster in, so you better suck up to it.

description

3. Smoking and Weed. These are my serious peeves. I grew up with a bunch of rich kids, especially in college who luxuriates in daddy's money and they often throw weed parties and probably had E's and some other shit stuck up their asses. It's NOT funny. Drugs only harm, and I hate it when people call it 'recreational'. For Ember, she takes weed, cocaine and molly to numb the pain she feels from whatever fucked up shit she's going through (WHICH I CAN'T EVEN DREDGE UP THE NERVE TO FEEL SORRY FOR). I absolutely loved it when Ren gave her the smack down of 'there are people starving out there, and here you are spending money and getting high just because the little rich bitch is feeling sad'.

4. I GOT ZERO RESPECT FOR EMBER. Kay, this is a minor issue, but it seriously ICKS me out. I'm no prude, but sometimes certain behaviours just is a NO-NO for me and my moral compass. SEX is no issue, but when Ember makes it a point to open up her pussy like it's the 4th of July to anyone...fuck that shit. She's no whore, but she acts like one. Here's to the next guy who has sex with her :

description

OVERALL I've read many dark romances, but this one was a cake walk. I had zero respect for the heroine, and while I did liked Ren mostly because he doesn't just fall to his knees and serve her like a stud AND the fact that she betrayed him because once again she's WEAK (I'm pretty sure she ain't protecting him, but herself, because FUCK THAT SHIT IF SHE REALLY IS PROTECTING HIM, she acted like a coward). Ughh no. No No No.

It has been awhile since I ranted about a story, so this book really pulls my hair triggers, and we're not even talking about rape.

Do I scare you?

Well Ren Falcon has just jumped way up my book boyfriend list!

C.Lymari let her psycho show with her first dark romance and I am here for it!

The story of Ember and Ren, an extremely slow burn between a diamond heiress and her bodyguard, with twists and turns you will never see coming. This love story is dark and gritty, not for the faint hearted. When I say read the author note before you go in, please do. If you get triggered easily then this isn’t the book for you.

Tell me, Princess. Are you ready to get dirty and lie in blood?

C Lymari’s writing was flawless in Falcon’s Prey and had me feeling some type of way. I didn’t know whether I was coming or going, whether I needed a moment alone or whether I wanted to hurl my kindle out of the window.

If you love dark, mindfuck reads that pull you in and leave a mark then Falcon’s Prey is the book for you.

Take a deep breath and be prepared. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I always thought when I read Claudia Lymari's first Novel in the "Homecoming Series" this girl has got something. I became one with her characters. Then we went on to "3 Seconds" a totally different storyline and a bit more grittier by this author, but then we finally get to see what Claudia is really passionate about . Dark mind blowing ( can’t say that f word) romance with angst no bull#%#% and 2 characters so totally existing in the world hiding behind the person they present to the world, who is really not them.
Ember is the Heir to a major Diamond Industry, spoilt rich bitch, the "it girl". Ren Falcon is the security guard that is assigned to look after Ember, an arsehole who really isn't interested in his assignment. Or so we think.
I was a little nervous going into this read as I had waited for so long for Ren to arrive on my kindle, I had no idea at all what Claudia was serving up to me as he had changed over time as she was writing him.
Claudia you did not let me down and he was everything if not more of what I could hope for, and Ember was everything that he needed to show that she did need saving and was worthy of him, even though he did not think he was worthy enough for her.
I couldn't put it down, i was frustrated with Ember and some of the things she did to herself and allowed to happen.
This storyline kept me enthralled with everything it had going on and yet i couldn't keep thinking omg what is going to happen next.
Claudia has shown her true self in Flacon's Prey, yet she also is the person who can write like she did in the "Homecoming Series". Claudia is able to make you immerse yourself in whatever you are reading that she writes, or she did for me.
I cant recommend this author let alone this book to you as both are "amazing". If Claudia stopped writing tomorrow, yes I would be upset(especially as we have Gideon to come) but more so witht he fact that I could read her books over and over and over and never get tired of the reads, especially Ren Flacon. My man, worth the wait worth the angst and worth the k#%Fed up darkness that was delivered in this read.
Thank you and much love to you always.
The milky Way does not hold enough stars to be able to rate for you xx

Oh my heart! This book was a damn rollercoaster that I did not want to get off! So many feels all in one book and I was completely hooked! On the one hand I really wanted to find out what happened but on the other I just did not want it to end.

Ember is a diamond princess and on the outside seems as if she has it all. Ren is the hardened, mysterious man assigned as her bodyguard. So many terrible things happen to Ember but she has always been taught to be unbreakable like a diamond and is one incredibly strong and feisty woman. Ren is pure fire and I could not get enough of him. I loved these two together. The banter, the sexual tension, the chemistry, how their broken souls talk to each other... it was everything.

If you are someone that needs trigger warnings then this might not be the book for you as it does have some pretty intense scenes. If not then buckle up because you are in for one hell of a ride with this baby 🖤

I have no idea why everyone is waxing poetic about this book I just couldn't take it seriously. The first half was all predictable and blown wayy out of proportion. I have no idea why Ren started hating Ember(It wasn't like he had a moral ground to stand on)

Idk when they developed the so called connection that they were talking about. Idk why THEY HAD SEX AT A PARTY WITH TWO OF EMBER'S PSYCHO LOVERS AND A HIT ON HER HEAD. Not even tame sex but knife and blood play (ಠ﹏ಠ). Hell Idek why Ember ran away mid party to be honest. I mean they weren't even trying to hide I have no idea what they expected to happen. How was Ren expecting to take her home with her whole skirt ripped off? Smh

The dialogues and actions were very OTT and sometimes did not align with the situation at all. Nowadays authors do this complete 360° with characters and their actions and call it mystery and that pisses me off. Half of the situations and reactions didn't make sense.

Omg god just wow i cant even put in worrds how much i LOVED this book.

Ren Falcon and Ember Remington were to crazy lovers.

Ren was Embers security guard for a short time and he was the only one to put bow down to Embers every whim and would put her in her place.

Ember had alot of insecurities and loved an escape so he did alot of drugs to block out her pain she felt from what her so called Uncle Silas had done to her since she was 17.

Ember was a Hot distraction Ren didnt need but the more he was with her the more he wanted her and couldnt get enough.

To find out how HOT and steamy this books get you must read.

This was the first book i have read from Claudia lymari and it def wont be the last. she has a great dark side that makes you turn the pages so easy and dont want to put it down.

I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely LOVED this book! I have read almost everything by C. Lymari and this is different from her other novels. However, u would think she's been writing dark romance all her life. This book was so well-written. I fell in love w the characters, Ren and Ember. And there were the perfect amount of thrills and heat. I literally could not put it down. It definitely gave me all the feels and i was so upset that it had to end. This was one of the best books I've read in a very long time. If u are looking for a book that makes u feel like u are on a roller coaster, that is full of up, downs, twists, and turns, then u gotta make sure to read this. U will not be disappointed.

I’ve not heard of this author before but after reading this I want to read all the words from her as this was a great read. Brilliant storyline with two fab characters.

Ren and Ember are two badass characters. You shouldn’t like them but can’t help liking them. Ember is spoilt and rich. She portrays herself as selfish but there’s so many interesting layers to her. Ren finds himself as Embers bodyguard. She challenges him on so many levels. Ren is a dark character with many secrets. He will do anything to protect Ember.

This was a brilliant read. It kept me up late into the night and as soon as I got a chance the next day I sat and finished it.

I’m so excited to read more from this author.

"Beautiful things didn’t just come out in the light; they thrived in the dark, full of wicked promises and lies."

Wow! Falcon's Prey is something completely new from C.Lymari and I am here for it! It is deliciously dark, wicked, Violent and heart racing romance.
I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out what happened next.
Every character in this book is well developed. Ember and Ren have such brilliant chemistry.

I can not wait to see what is next in this world.

If you love dark romance you will love this one.

Bravo C.Lymari you have knocked this out of the park.

F**k me!!! Talk about grabbing you by the balls. This book does that and then some.
I make no secret of the fact that for me Claudia Lymari is a one click. From the start of her Hoco series I’ve loved her writing.
I’m not normally a dark/mafia romance reader, and make no mistake this book is dark but it’s also compelling and compulsive reading. I read until I literally fell asleep whilst reading it, woke up and carried straight on until I’d finished it.
The characters are way past shady, the world in which they live way past dark, and this author has created a world in which you fast get sucked into.
It’s edge of your seat, mouth wide open reading. It’s bloody, it’s brutal and it’s hot. It leaves you embroiled in this dark, crimson world that as violent as it is, that violence covers up a multitude of dark hearts just searching, fighting for their little bit of light chinking away somewhere, somehow for them.
Roll on the next book in this new world that Claudia has created. It can’t come soon enough for this newly converted dark heart of mine

WOW WOW WOW WOW if I could give this story ten stars I would just amazing , I had read every book by C. Lymari and Falcon's Prey has got to be one of my favorites . From start to finish I was hooked from the story to the characters just every thing about this is a must read . Ember was one of the best heroines that I've read in a book she has so many layers and it was incredible every time a layer was pealed away my heart just hurt for her . Ok lets talk about Ren this hero is just wow he is such a mystery and when we find out what he does and why he does it just WOW , I loved the way he called Ember out on her BS and just didn't fall in line like so many other people in her life had done and I think by him doing that he brought something to Ember something that she felt . The villains were perfectly written you just felt disgust and anger towards the bad guys and just hopped that they got what they deserved . I can't wait to read more from these characters and more by the author she is just amazing I love everything that she's written and I can't wait for more .

I was so excited when I found out Claudia Lymari was writing a dark book! Dark romantic suspense with twists and turns and depravity are my favorite and Claudia did an amazing job! When you first meet Ember she is a spoiled rotten, self destructive bitch. And Ren is the man hired to guard her. Ember is use to getting what she wants, when she wants it but Ren doesn’t let her get away with it like the guards before him did. And when these two collide, it’s a match made in Hell. This book was very sexy and the writing was brilliant! Claudia Lymari just keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

I don’t know what to say about Falcon’s Prey except, it was amazing. What an adventure for Ren and Ember. Ember is a b*tch, plain and simple but I loved her dearly. Ren is totally alpha and perfect for our leading b*tch. This quote from the book sums them up perfectly...

“we were a couple forged in hell, and in each other we found paradise.”

Claudia has a way with words. They suck you in and devour you, giving you all the feels as you read. This was my first read from Claudia and I cannot wait for more, especially Gideon

First off I LOVE C. Lymari as an author! She creates realistic settings, characters and the plot line is full of twists and keeps me enthralled. I absolutely adore her as a person, friend and as an author.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have also preordered a copy since reading this book because it's worth buying.

If you enjoy a dark romance then this is for you. The author states that if you need a trigger warning before you reading a dark romance you probably shouldn't read this book. She tells the readers point blank that the hero is a jerk and the heroine is a bitch.

I won't give you any details because I don't want to risk spoilers. I am giving this five out of five stars and will add that it is in my top three dark romance books of all time.

This is the second book that I’ve read from this author, and it definitely won’t be the last.(Off to check out her backlist!)

Anyways, the story starts off with a bang, & we meet Ember, followed very shortly by Falcon.
I didn’t like either character at first, they were so hung up on what they perceived, that I kind of wanted to turn off their inner monologue.
And then we learned more. And more, and more, and pretty soon, I was absolutely engrossed in each of them.
The bad guy is a real bad guy, the good guys were a little harder to find.
The only thing that I didn’t really enjoy was the slow pace in the beginning. But it did pick up for the second half, and I was absolutely in love.
I’d definitely recommend.

When I finished this book, my first reaction to explain it was that it felt like I just got off a roller coaster. This Story takes you on a great ride with lots of ups, downs, twists, turns and loops. Ren and Ember are two people that should probably never get together but what they have is so powerful; no one should get in their way! The author does such a great job of bringing out so many emotions in you and makes you have weird, crazy and strong emotions for the people in this great book! Worth reading but be ready, you will not want to put it down! This author writes great books, read them all!

Falcon's prey has to be one of my most intense reads of 2020 this is definitely a dark romance between ember and Ren and the relationship is fought hard. Ren is hired to be embers body guard but in her rebellious heir ways she tries to ditch him at every turn. The diamond princess will soon realize nothing is as seems and she will begin wondering if Ren is just as dangerous as the rest.

Trigger warnings/ drug use , less than desired sexual situations ...

But even so this book is worth the time ...

OH MY EVER LOVIN' HELL! This author has on hell of a way with words, and weaving together a story that really blew my mind. I refuse to get into a ton of details as that would completely ruin the story, but man, how I want to give every last detail since this was one of those experiences that everyone needs to know about. Ren & Ember were everything! She's totally a b*t*h after my own heart, and yet, there's something about Ren who tempers her in all the right ways. Did I get mad from time to time?! Oh absolutely, but I wouldn't have changed one thing about this amazing story. Every emotion was pulled out of me since I felt like I was there in person, as Ms. Lymari is a word genius, so I devoured every last page like it was the last book I would ever read. All I can thing now is I NEED MORE IMMEDIATELY, and so will you once you hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
