As my second experience with a novel by Hope Moore, I found the storyline for this second book of the series to be a disappointment because it is a near carbon copy of the first book. It appears that book three will be remarkably like the first two because each of the books is based on how each brother reacts to the demands and stipulations of the will of their late grandfather and each brother reacted the same way. This makes book two, and possibly book three, boringly predictable. What played well the first time around does not play as well when repeated as part of a series.
Ms. Moore’s editorial team did remarkably well for the first book but dropped the ball in this book. When Todd discloses that he regrets the way he treated his parents before they departed on the plane trip where they lost their lives, he states, “And I’ve lived with that all my life.” That blaring error should have been corrected to say something like, “And I’ve lived with that ever since.”
As a stand-alone offering, I would have awarded Ms. Moore four stars. But as the second book of a series, it simply does not pass muster. I will pass on book three. I award three stars for this offering.
My review today is on the Western Romance, Her Billionaire Cowboy's Fake Wedding Fiasco. This is book two in the McCoy Billionaire Brothers Series. I really enjoy Hope's stories. This book is well written, humorous, and totally delightful. I love stories of marriage of convenience and this series is all about that.
Todd McCoy is in charge of the McCoy Stonewall Jelly and Wine Division. His grandfather's will states that he must find a wife and marry within three months and then stay married for three months. His brother Wade was the first to be forced into marriage and that had turned out well but he doesn't see that happening again. Wade's wife has a friend that works in a vineyard. Is she the answer he needs?
Ginny Rossi was born for the vineyard. It's the reason she gets up each day. Her greatest thrill is to create new flavors of wine. She met her best friend's brother-in-law and he was doing everything wrong and he refused to listen to her. He's wasting all his time and money on the jelly part of the business. Now her parents are selling the vineyard and she needs money to save it. Todd is going to lose his vineyard if he doesn't marry; could she marry the man to save her beloved vineyard?
A delightful journey to save what they both loved most. I know you are going to love it.
The Billionaire's Wedding Fiasco by Hope Moore McCoy Billionaire Brothers Series Book Two Todd McCoy is still upset that Granddad has stipulated in his will that if he doesn't marry and stay married for at least three months, he'll lose the vineyards he's put so much of his life into. He'll do what he needs though, even if he's angry about it.
Ginny Rossi is furious. Her parents have decided to sell the vineyard...her vineyard. Rossi Rose is her life. She needs a miracle to come up with the money to buy it. But, when the miracle appears...is she ready to take it?
Allie, from the Billionaire Cowboy's Fake Marriage, is Ginny's best friend. When she hears of the bind she's in...Allie and Wade decide to help his brother and her best friend both get their problems solved. Ginny and Todd had met once...and it was explosive...and not in a good way. Loving this new series. https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
You are going to love this series - Cowboys, Vinards, Resorts and Alpha men that get woman that unbalance them to get their life in balance - lol
Todd is like Wade & Morgan three brothers married to their work and no time for life/work balance. Todd runs the Vinyard which produces wine & grapes. He left with the will marry clicks ticking & stay married. Only prospect someone as desperate as him & he definitely taking advantage of the situation. Ginny has had her parents rip the rug out from under her, their selling her dream to retire - she has 4 months to find money. These two sparks fly like air & fire just feed into each other - oh yeah it's going to get hit before they work it out. This was fun, laid-back book to read. It had no drama, just a sweet story. Todd McCoy had to marry within 30 days or he lost his vineyard. His grandpa always wanted grandkids. In his will he stated his grandson Todd had to get married and stay married for 3 months. Ginny grew up in her small vineyard. She can’t imagine doing anything else. She loves making wine. Her world is turned upside down when her parents tell her she is about to sell it. She will do anything to keep it, including marry Todd. The two really made this story fun. The sparks that flew was entertaining. They spent time bickering back and forth, making up and kissing. Looking forward to the next book.
J. D.'s will has his grandsons madder than an old wet hen! First Wade now Todd! Can't wait to see what he has in store for Morgan! Thankfully things worked out well for Wade and Allie. Not so sure about Todd, but it seems Allie's friend has been thrown for a loop also. Maybe they can work it out that they can both get what they have always worked for and want. Want to know what happens? Read this great story by Hope Moore. You will definitely want to read to see what happens next.
This was a story of action . Todd knew he had to find a wife and one in a hurry. Wade told him, if he married Ginny, they had mutual interests, since she worked in a vineyard in Tyler, Texas. Todd had only three months to find a bride, but must stay married three months. He decided to fly to Tyler, and talk to Ginny about marrying him. She was in need of money to buy the vineyard from her father and Todd needed a wife. They agreed to marry, and must read for the rest of the exciting story.
Upon his grandfather's death, Todd and his brother's learn their are specific stipulations they must adhere to in order to keep their family's businesses. His brother Wade has successfully married and found love. He must now do the same to keep the vineyard and jelly he has put years of sweat and blood into. How is he going to be able to accomplish this?~
This has been a very good Billionaire series. I think that it's the writing that keeps me hooked. This one was a bit more "lustful" than the first one and that was off-putting to me. Why are Christians noticing how jeans are hugging someone's body? Keep your eyes where they belong characters! That was a turn off for me in the story, but I did enjoy the repartee between the two main characters and how they grew throughout the story.
Not bad. The concept was good, the execution could be better. I'm a sucker for the fake/arranged marriage trope. This book fulfilled that. Most of the issues (head hopping, wordiness, dragging conversational beats) are things that authors improve on with time. I expect Hope Moors more recent books are better examples of her current abilities.
I like Todd and Ginny's story. I wish they had more banter between them. They fell in love too quickly. Now I am ready to start book 3 and see what Grandfather has in store for Morgan.
She's furious with her parents because they don't want her to take over their winery. Her best friend introduces her to her brother-in-law and sparks fly. Fun sweet romance.
A good story of two very strong people butting heads together. Then a contract, which adds complications. Lots of humor in this story as the strong personalities collide.
Stubborn and strong willed two people refuse to let other's in. Ginny has one friend and that is who she confides in but she meets her match and the walls come tumbling down.
This was other great story of getting hitch by looking for a,way to keep there life on sight to accomplish there goal in life, there Grandpapa love of his grandsons property.
I can honestly say this a great book to curl up with on a sunny, breezy Sunday. I fell in love with characters quickly, loving their snarkiness and push and shove personalities. Can't wait to read the next in this series.
J D Mccoy,s will resulted in another HEA marriage for his grandson Todd and Ginny Rossi. Todd had gone into the marriage with the plan to take no prisoners and merely fulfill the terms of his grandfathers will. You know what they say about the best laid plans...
The story was well written and I thoroughly enjoyed the book. This was an interesting way to meet for sure. The characters were special to say the least. They kept you on your toes.
This second book of the series is just as entertaining as the first. Who wouldn’t fall in love with a tall handsome cowboy? With money to boot. I almost passed on these books by Hope Moore, but I’m so glad I didn’t.
Beautiful little romance with sassy and spicy characters that will have you enjoying each and every moment of their journey towards unconditional love.
A really enjoyable experience, laughter, fun and a good romance. The characters will grab hold of you from the very . Can't wait to start reading 📚 the next book.
