She’s the one thing he can’t control . . .

Since Keenan’s traumatic childhood he’s made sure he’s always in control. Of himself, and of the world around him. But Khloe drives him crazy. She’s an imp, so getting under people’s skin is basically her job description, but Khloe makes him – and his body – respond in ways he’s never known.

Keenan is the mistake Khloe knows she shouldn’t make. As an incubus, he’s got an inside track into everything that makes her tick, and even though she’s immune to his supernatural sex appeal, that doesn’t stop her body – and her demon – craving him.

After a bet escalates the simmering tension between them it’s finally game on . . . and then the game turns deadly serious. When a danger appears that could threaten the whole lair, Keenan’s desperate to protect Khloe any way he can – but will she accept his claim, and can he accept the power she has over him?

I so enjoyed this. I've even read it twice already and enjoyed it even more the second time around.

description

We Wright fans have been waiting for Keenan and Khloe's story since it became obvious in earlier series books that they were going to be a thing.

And this book delivered exactly what I wanted from them. Khloe was crazy and annoying (imp, after all) and Keenan was mysterious and reluctant (but only at first, of course). Their chemistry - which has been building over the course of numerous books - came to a sizzle here and I loved every second.

In short, I've said it before and I will say it again...I just LOVE Suzanne Wright. Her plots, worlds, characters, formula, snark...just everything about her writing and style is right up my alley. This one was no different. I will forever devour anything she writes. Period.

"You don't think you're important to me, I know that, but you are. I can't ignore that there's a threat hanging over your head. I can't. That's not who I am."

Much like their friends Tanner and Devon, these two had a major love-hate relationship. They have constantly fought their attraction over the years, but things changed when a bet pushes them to their breaking point and Khloe's becomes the target of a psycho who literally raises the dead.

As with all of Ms. Wright's heroes, Keenan is a major alpha-male. Desperate for control, demanding, possessive, and overly protective. He has spent so long keeping Khloe at arm's length, and yet when her life is threatened he desperately wishes to be the one she turns to. It of course kills him that that is not the case.

"I haven't come to yell at you. The fact is, whether I like it or not, I'm not a person you'll ever look to in a crisis. But I wish you would."

Khloe, for her part, is extremely self-sufficient. She likes organization, neatness, order, control. Though she would never admit it, Khloe has felt something for Keenan for a long time. But she naturally senses that he refuses to accept his feelings toward her, thus she rightly keeps him at a distance refusing to let him insert himself into her life whenever he feels like.

But one can only fight the inevitable for so long, and they eventually give in to the heat that's always been between them.

"Tell me you don't want to know how it feels to have me inside you," he said with a soft growl she felt in her core.
"You can't, can you?"

And so throughout the book, we are treated to a sexy, push and pull relationship that one cannot help but root for.

5 Keenan’s Crazy Imp Stars

Suzanne Wright did it again. She is such an amazing author. Some how she turns out great book after great book. She has 5 different series now that I just love. Omens was so good. Keenan and Khloe have had this slow burn sexual build up for 5 books now and I don't know about anyone else, but I have been dying to get my hands on their book. Of course I loved it. It gave me everything I have been waiting for. Keenan was so sexy and protective. I loved that he also had this deeper side, a dark temper, past scars, and a playful side. As an Incubus it makes me just think sex but he was so much more. Although there is a lot going on in the sex department too.

Khloe made the book for me. She was so funny and crazy. I can't tell you how many times I laughed reading this book. Khloe was also loyal, smart, and kicked ass.

Khloe and Keenan were so great together. The bad guy and his army omg gross. I loved that there was never a dull moment in this book. Keenan and Knox had a bit of an issue of sorts and I wish we would have got more on that. Instead it was just kinda glossed over. I loved the girl nights. Most of all I really wanted more of Raini and Maddox. Maddox was so intriguing. I need more of him and soon. Asher omfg Asher was the cutest little man ever I need a lot more Asher. Maybe we could get another book with Knox, Asher and Harper so we could get a bit more Asher. HINT HINT. I recommend this book and series to anyone that loves Paranormal romances. I also recommend her other series The Phoenix Pack Series, Deep In Your Veins Series, The Mercury Pack Series, and The Olympus Pride Series which are equally amazing.

1/7/20 Review now posted

4.5 stars

I cannot tell you how excited I was to get this in my hands! I have been rooting for Keenan and Khloe to get together since book one. Book one!! When I read the first book of the series, I thought that SW would change couples for the second one and I really wanted it to be about them. Six books later and I finally got the book I've been craving.

I am again finding myself in a tough spot reviewing this because I'm running out of compliments, superlatives and praise for Suzanne Wright. The English language only has so many forms of expression and I think after reviewing almost all her Phoenix, Mercury and Dark in You Series, I'm at a loss for words. Weirdly, I feel like I somehow should be laying flowers at her feet because after all these books, she still manages to make me invest and read avidly from first page to last. Her formula just works for me. I love her books and I re-read them often. They are my personal comfort blanket.

So, if I loved it so much, why not five stars? Well, because first I think I blew Keenan and Khloe really, really big in my mind so my expectations were bound to take a hit and second because nothing and no one will beat Knox as the Alpha Demon of my dreams. SW did such a good job with him, that now, nothing compares. Not even a hot as hell incubus demon. And these two were pretty explosive together!

description

Keenan's incubus powers, his intenseness, his temper and drive to protect were actually the perfect foil for Khloe's impishness. Being an actual imp, she continually messes with people for entertainment. The things that came out of her mouth had me howling at times.

"{..}She sang Afroman's "Because I Got High" in a Smurf-like voice. She asked Keenan to take her to an Amish community so she could "see some Amish dudes-they might be cute." When he refused, she proclaimed him an Amish cockblocker. He growled. "Have you lost your mind?" "Long ago." Khloe tilted her head. "I miss it sometimes."

"Well, if she couldn't fuck him, she could certainly fuck with him."

They have both been resisting one another for so long that it didn't take much for them to snap. Following a bet that Khloe loses, Keenan has the perfect excuse to succumb and lose his legendary control. Once Keenan had a taste, he couldn't fight it anymore.

description

Throw in a truly psychotic Lazarus demon targeting Khloe after she and the enforcers of her lair along with her Prime, Jolene, failed to stop and the element of danger and suspense ratchets up a knot.

description

I know I love reading a book when I start snapping at anyone and everyone that interrupts my reading. I even recorded the Bake Off: The Professionals last night so I wouldn't miss a second of reading. For me, Suzanne Wright deserves all the accolades. And once again, I cannot wait to see where she'll take us next with Maddox and Raini. Fingers crossed, with a Descendants spin-off!

I am definitely a Suzanne Wright fangirl and Khloe and Keenan's book was one of the most anticipated books of 2020 for me. Did it deliver... well hell yeah it did!!!

hell to the yeah gif - Google Zoeken

Khloe has always been my favorite character in this series. Funny as hell though chick.. just how I like my heroines. And she stayed that way throughout the whole book. Keenan did surprise me a bit, however... In a good way that is. He was so much hotter and protective then I figured he would be. Damn these two were on fire!!!

17892486.gif (500×206)

Now I don't want to give anything away plotwise, so you will just have to trust me when I say that this one was definitely worth the wait.

I also loved visiting with all my favorites again. Can't wait for the next one in this series, but one thing is for sure... Suzanne always delivers !!!

Go jump in right now.... I wish I could unread it and do it all over again!!

5 not-surprised ⭐️s

“Thank fuck you’re here,” she said.
“Thank fuck you’re alive.”

Warning : This is not a review.
This is me fangirling. Level 100.

Omens is book 6 of the Dark In You series. Technically, it can be read as a standalone, but I'd recommend reading the entire series because it's everything.
It features demons with a variety of intriguing powers, heroes that are to die for and strong take-no-bullshit heroines. What more could you possibly want? ✨

I’ve been waiting for this book for 4+ years now. Ever since they were first introduced in Burn, Khloe and Keenan both intrigued me. A crazy Imp (the most annoying but fun breed) and a possibly alcoholic Incubi (the most sexual and alluring breed), two demons that are so different from each other but that set the pages on fire whenever they're in each other's vicinity. YES PLEASE.

We have Khloe - imp, trouble magnet, batshit crazy, dresses like a homeless but is OCD about everything else, funny, smart, loyal, ridiculous, entertaining AF - Wallis

“It’s like she’s living, breathing Viagra to me.”

And Keenan - incubi, sentinel, possibly alcoholic (he’s not), sexual magnet, monster you-know-what, caring, loyal, distant, closed off - Ripley

”Hell, she’d just gotten laid by his eyes. It was a rush and a tease.”

Accurate visual of me when SW started hinting at them together

when this book was announced but was months away

And when I finally got my hands on it

And guess what? That smile was a permanent fixture on my face for the entire 368 pages of it (except that chapter in the end 🥺)

Being back in this world, with these characters, felt like coming home. To safety, to comfort, to family, to friends, to laughter. To tight bonds, endless loyalty and love. So much love.

“Easily. I’m the ultimate pain in the ass. Proudly. I put a whole lot of effort into it, as it happens.”
“Hmm, yes, you do. But you’re my pain in the ass.”

Khloe and Keenan were everything I hoped for and more.
I’m trying really hard to think of something to say, but aside from the pure unadulterated feeling of happiness in my heart, I honestly got nothing.

What I love most about Suzanne Wright is that, while all her heroes are alpha and kickass, her heroines don’t need to be saved. They can handle themselves, they’re not damsels in distress and they’re what I aspire to be when I grow up.
Khloe was no different. In the previous books, she’s always been the sidekick that makes everyone laugh with her crazy antics, but she’s so much more than that. She has a heart of gold and a spine of steel, and some of the funniest thoughts ever.

His cock sprang out and, just, wow. It was hot and hard and so damn big.
Should she touch it? Should she lick it? Should she feed it a peanut?

How much control she had over Keenan scared him away from her for years. Since his traumatic childhood, losing control is unfathomable to him, but he can’t get Khloe out of his mind. She drove him absolutely crazy

His eyes narrowed again. “Why did Jolene need your help with Enoch? You’re not one of her sentinels or a member of her Force. Why call on you?”
Khloé shrugged one shoulder, nonchalant. “You’ll have to ask her.”
“I’m asking you.”
“I know. I heard you.”
He muttered a curse. “Do you have any idea how exasperating you can be?”
“Where’d you learn that big word?”
He ground his teeth so hard she almost snickered. Oh, he was just too easy.

Like, batshit crazy

“Jesus, Khloé, how can you be so tight?”
“I’m a virgin.”
He blinked. “What?”
“Kidding. Sorry, there’s been other guys before you.”

Keenan was as swoon worthy as I knew he’d be.

“This is going to be fast and rough, baby.”
“Don’t call me that.”
“Why? That’s what you are. My baby.”

Once he got his head out of his ass, he was absolutely trash for her

Khloé sighed. “I want a donut.”
Keenan blinked. She could be so random, but he found he liked that. He held out his hand. “Then let’s go get you a donut. After that, we’ll have dinner.”
“Where?” she asked, taking his hand.
“Wherever you want to go.”

When he used his phantom fingers (why aren’t those a thing in real life? How is this fair?!)

When his demon marked her

His finger traced the thin, intricate pattern that spanned her stomach from hip to hip like a belt. The occasional “K” was woven inside the pattern.

When they said “I love you”, even Voldy was happy.

And when he almost lost her

“Don’t ever make me go there again.”
“I can’t promise I’ll live forever—no one can promise that. But I’d never leave you on purpose.”
“I wouldn’t let you. I claimed you, and I’m keeping you.”
“But not in, like, a dungeon or anything, right?”
He frowned. “Why would I ever keep you in a dungeon?”
“Why would you ever deny you have a mammoth-size cock?”
Keenan ground his teeth. God, she was off her fucking rocker.
She snickered. “Your blood pressure just shot up, didn’t it? Will it improve your mood if we play Park the Porpoise again?”
“Park the Porpoise?”
“You know … getting a hole in one, having a hot beef injection, burying the sausage, parting the red sea, going to the boneyard, mining with the meat shaft—”
“Enough, enough.” He sighed and looked up at the wall. “So this will be my life.”
“You’re excited, I can tell.”
His mouth hitched up. The thing was … she was right.”

Now, can we talk about Lou’s appearance??

If he doesn’t end up with Jolene, I’m seriously going to *insert something OTT and dramatic*.

This book had it all : swoon worthy romance, incredible friends and family bonds, cutest baby in the whole universe (ASHEEERRRR), funny banter, sizzling chemistry, scorching sexy times, extreme possessiveness, action scenes and really everything you can expect from Suzanne Wright. That woman is it.

All that being said, this book wasn't perfect. I had a few issues with it, but I honestly don't care because of how happy I felt reading it.

Did I mention how happy this book made me? 😭😭

If you’ll excuse me, I’ll go watch a sad video on YouTube because I don't know how to handle all these happy emotions. Then, I’ll be in the corner staring blankly at my surroundings until Maddox and Raini’s book is out.

"The others weren't mine. You are."

Omens is the sixth book in the Dark in You Series. Suzanne Wright is the queen of paranormal romance and it doesn't matter if it is a spirit, demon, incubus, shifter, or anything in between, if she is writing it...I am in!!! Khloe, an imp, loves to antagonize the smoking hot alpha, Keenan! Knowing they can never be together, they both have done whatever it takes to avoid the attraction they feel for each other. However, everyone knows that a demon will always claim what he wants!

description
"His demon urged him to take her, possess her. It wanted to brand her again."
Told in multiple POV, Omens is a smoking hot read with passion, action, and suspense. Keenan and Chloe were meant to be and I enjoyed every second of their blooming romance.

Overall, Omens is a must-read for Dark in You Fans. If you haven't read a Wright book yet...what on earth are you waiting for?!?!?

This series is pure gold! So many fantastic moments in this book that not only made me love Keenan and Khloe more, but also has me excited for some possible future books still to come.

I got so comfortable with the girls in Harper and Knox's books that I just didn't even think about how there was more to them than we saw at the time I found that out in Devon and Tanners book and now again in Khloe and Kennan's story.

I've always loved Khloe's unique personality. She's pretty much insane and has always been entertaining. Getting to see a more dangerous side of her, created mad respect. Now that I've seen it in Devon and Khloe, I can't wait for Raini's turn.

While the guys were exactly as I thought they would be, I was surprised with how well they stood up to my love of Knox. To me, Knox is THE Alpha character. I was worried it would be harder for his sentinel's to hold up to his power. I should have known this author was going to deliver because she has managed to make me fall in love with them just as much as Knox.

Man, there were so many situations in this book that highlight other side characters that really just has me so excited for future books of the series. There are so many possibilities that I would make a Wallis proud because I will beg, lie and steal for them.

5+ stars!!

Omens by Suzanne Wright, was one of my most anticipated book releases of 2020.

I have read almost every book by Suzanne Wright, and she remains in my top 3 favorite PNR authors, so to say that I’m a huge fan of her writing would be an understatement.

I have been impatiently waiting for Khloe and Keenan’s story from the very first interaction they had in the previous books, so I’m so beyond happy to have experienced the beauty of these two together.

What can i say expect i ABSOLUTELY loved Omens.
It had everything i wanted from Khloe and Keenan and more.

A sexy as sin and badass incubus demon ✔️
A strong, kickass, crazy, sarcastic and smart-mouthed imp ✔️
Explosive chemistry ✔️
Fantastic banter ✔️
Intense and passionate hot, Panties-melting sex ✔️
Swoon worthy romance ✔️
Non-Stop Action ✔️

Yeah, it’s safe to say, this book was fucking AWESOME to say the least!

I devoured Omens in one sitting, and the only thing i didn’t like about it is that it ended.

Khloe & Keenan:

Khloe is my favorite kind of heroine: a strong, self assured, sarcastic and confident heroine with a hint of crazy.
Keenan is a totally drool worthy Book boyfriend: a confident, possessive and panty-melting man.

I absolutely love these two individually, but together they’re the perfect blend of electrifying passion, sexual tension and amazing banter, and i am just truly in love!

“That was when Khloé’s idea of “fun” began.
She drew satanic-looking symbols on Raini’s face with red lipstick. She sang Afroman’s “Because I Got High” in a Smurf-like voice. She asked Keenan to take her to an Amish community so she could “see some Amish dudes—they might be cute.” When he refused, she proclaimed him an Amish cockblocker.
He growled. “Have you lost your mind?”
“Long ago.” Khloé tilted her head. “I miss it sometimes.”
Certifiable. The woman was a certifiable nutcase.”

Poor Keenan 😂
I really need to have a Khloe in my life, even though i would probably strangle her in the first hour.

“On a serious note, though,” she began, rising to her feet, “does it hurt to walk when you’re hard? Because that monster in your jeans has to weigh a few pounds.”
His patience gone, Keenan went nose to nose with her. “Swear to Christ, Khloé, if you mention my cock one more time, I’m going to thrust it inside you and fuck you so hard you’ll be screaming.”

Ummm excuse me 😳🤤👀 Err...coc-🥵

“She let out a shaky breath. “Ever thought of making a living as a porn star?”
He frowned, hoping it wasn’t a serious question. With Khloé, you never could tell. “No.”
“Really? Because I’d buy the vids.”
He lifted his head. “You’d happily watch me fuck other people?”
“Other guys, yeah, I could get behind that.”
Unreal. “I’m going to forget we had this conversation.”
“How could you ever forget such a conversation?”
“Maybe if you sucked me off and blew the sense right out of me, I wouldn’t remember anything but my own name.”
She pursed her lips. “I’m willing to try that. In the name of scientific experimentation.”

Khloe is truly one of a kind, i love her so much 😂😍 and Keenan is just the perfect match for her!

Another thing i really loved is the build up to Raini and Maddox’s story.

I really enjoyed the little snippets of these two throughout the book and then when the ending happened:

“It’s good that I came here when I did,” said Maddox. “She didn’t have long left.”
Keenan stared at him. “How were you able to do that? To heal her? You’re not an archangel.”
“Far from it,” Maddox easily agreed.
Sensing the male wasn’t going to elaborate, Keenan said, “I owe you.”
“No, you don’t.” Maddox’s gaze cut to Raini and gleamed with possession. “But you do. Don’t forget our agreement.”
The succubus lifted her chin a notch. “I won’t.”
With that, Maddox left, his arm brushing Raini’s as he passed”

Omg, the moment when Maddox saved the day, i loved it so much!! But i would die to know what Raini had to agree to, for him to step in.

The set-up for Raini and Maddox’s story is so seamlessly and skillfully woven into the plot, and i can’t wait to get their book! I am so excited to see what Suzanne Wright does in their book, but one thing i know for sure is that it’s gonna be spectacular, because that’s her brand, and i don’t think she knows how to write anything short of phenomenal!
I actually think the wait is gonna kill me, but i know it’s gonna be worth it.

Lastly, if you’re a fan of paranormal romances, then you absolutely need to read the Dark in You series by Suzanne Wright, it’s truly OUTSTANDING and a MUST read!

Not my favourite book in the series, but then again no couple will ever measure up to Knox and Harper. I didn't hate it but it certainly didn't dazzle me like I'd hoped it would.

Usually I inhale this author's books but this one just seemed to drag on and on without really getting very far and took me days to read, it just didn't hold my interest. Add to that Keenan and Khloe were rather bland, definitely a weak clone of what they were in the other books in this series and this one missed the mark for me. 🤷

“Every goddamn train of thought in my head somehow circles back to you, no matter what. So when I say you’re important to me, it's exactly what I mean.”

I’ve been waiting for Keenan and Khloe to be together, like forever and I’m really really happy that we now get to have their story . Finally!!! 😍 This series is so addictive that you can’t help but anticipate each book. SW never disappoints. I enjoyed every page. From the first page I could tell it was going to be a hard book to put down🥰. I love Khloe’s crazy antics and how she always manages to annoy Keenan and Devon too.😂
Here we get to know more about Khloe and Keenan’s past. The plot is very interesting and surprising. And who couldn’t help but adore Asher, I really love that kid.🥰
There’s a lot in store for you in this book and surely will enjoy reading it.👍🏻

Can’t wait for Raini & Maddox’s story 😊

Finally, felt like too long since the last new release. Another ace addition to the series, it kept me entertained and amused from the onset. Keenan and Khloe's chemistry sizzled off the page, it was fun watching Keenan finally snap and then go all in.

Wish Asher had been in more scenes, I also so want his powers because that is one powerfully cute kid.

I'm really keen to learn more about Maddox and what he wants from Raini (keeping my fingers and toes crossed the book is released sooner rather than later).

"Omens" is the story of Khloé and Keenan.

From the first book in the series, we have seen the cat and dog fights between the ridiculously playful imp Khloé, and the serious incubus Keenan. We finally have their story!

Should she touch it? Should she lick it? Should she feed it a peanut?
Khloé about Keenan's schlong

This time around, the evil villain comes in the form of Enoch, a zombie freak, and an old frenemy returns to complicate their lives. We have insanely hilarious banter, SO-HOT-IT-WOULD-MELT-YOUR-DRAWERS-sex, loyal friendships, strong blood-bonds and anchors, jealousy, seriously bad people and a satisfying resolution.

The highlight continues to remain on our main characters, whose relationship develops in an expected manner, blooming from one night stand to full blown mating. There is no unnecessary drama, just mature characters being honest and in love. We also have our favorites like Jolene, Vivian, Teague, Knox, Harper, Raini, Devon, Maddox, Ciaran, Tanner etc returning, and ofcourse the adorable Asher makes a return in one of my favorite goosebumps inducing scenes in the book.

She spluttered. “Well, I … it’s … I don’t … Why are you …” She closed her eyes. “Fuck.”

“You love me,” he said softly. “And I get why you’d find that scary. I love you more than I’ve ever loved anyone or anything, and it fucking terrifies me.”

A satisfying addition to the series, and has equal parts angst, humor and romance.
Totally recommended!

I went into this expecting nothing, so I have to give it up to Khloe for carrying this entire book on her shoulders. She was so funny, so brave, and brought such an upbeat energy to this book I really appreciated it, bc tbr I came into this not giving two shits about Khloe and Keenan.
If anyone could write a handbook on not giving a single rat’s ass, it would be Khloé. She had her own special brand of logic, was a magnet for trouble, had no sense of self-preservation, and could stir shit in an empty room.

Keenan was pretty bleh, a wet blanket if I'm being honest but I kind of expected it so it's whatever. I mainly just liked watching Khloe annoy him. The smut was really good too. The book was still pretty predictable as most SW books, but I overall enjoyed it. I'm mainly just excited tho that we're finally at Raini and Maddox's book!! A sex goddess succubus and a hot as hell demon spawn mating? Yassss. I need to know what he's been saying to her telepathically for the past two books. It's dirty talk, right? It's gotta be dirty talk.

This series is one of my all time favourites. That said this is probably my least favourite of the bunch.

Now don’t get me wrong it’s not a bad book. The bar is just set so high.
It’s entertaining and great to see Khloe and Keenan finally getting together.

3.5/4 I NEED THOSE SPICY PHEROMONES AND PSYCHIC FINGERS IN MY LIFE stars

This author is one of my favorite one in prn genre. She has this formula in her books that works for me just fine: all Heroes are mega possessive, jealous, alpha and commanding and all her heroines are snarky and sassy and independent.
This book was no different. I ve waited since june last year I think for Khloe and Keenan story. They ve been tiptoeing around eachother for years, both refusing to succumb to their attraction but also teasing every chance they got.

Khloe is in trouble now, someone wants to hurt her and Keenan is loosing his mind over this, realizing that the fight hes been battling with himself has no ground and he actually wants this imp.

We get to see all the other characters from previous books, plus new ones, the action is on point and the chemistry between them sizzling.

My problem with this book was the fact that Keenan was nothing special, no special hidden "talents" , so pretty much useless for Khloe's problem, beside giving her support and sex.
To be honest , Asher took the center of attention more then once. That kid is freaking special and funny.

But the dialogue was ridiculous funny , Khloe been known from previous books to have a hilarious and unique personality and dirty mouth.

"His cock sprang out and, just, wow. It was hot and hard and so damn big.
Should she touch it? Should she lick it? Should she feed it a peanut?"

“How do you get your skin this soft?”
“Soaking in the blood of virgins.”
His mouth twitched. “I can see how that would work.”
“I highly recommend trying it. Though results may vary.”

Overall, even if this was a bit mediocre I am in LOVE with this series and I ll never stop reading it.Period.

Spoilers ahead, 2.5*

This isn't a thorough review just my thoughts on the premise and the mcs of this book.

Now the reason this was ALWAYS going to be a failure for me is that these 2 have known each other and wanted each other for years....yet never made a move for one reason or another. As a ROMANCE reader it really pisses me off when awesome chemistry is wasted, why would these two connect from the beginning, sparks are flying everywhere BUT it's only when she's in danger he's ready to stake a claim? Yeah it doesn't work like that, the mmc just comes across as weak IMO because which Alpha male sees the one he wants but lets time pass twiddling his thumbs? While it wasn't expressly stated I'm assuming he was with others and we know she dated so then what's the point???? It just boggles my mind honestly and just as in the previous book it drove my rating way down.

I was afraid this author would pair Levi with Raini which would make it another couple who waited years to act on their feelings, thankfully Maddox has entered the game so I'm looking forward to the next book

Why are the sexy times basically the same in ALL the books?
When are these guys going to really shine as badasses? To much power to not have ppl quaking at the mere sight of them 😂
I wanted Knox and Keenan to sort out their issue. I understood that we needed Maddox to save her but I didn't like Knox's and Harpers' reaction here

No cheating
OW drama(as usual SMH)
Once mcs get involved no others for either of them

I hope Asher eventually gets his story told, maybe a novella with Knox and Harper realising just how powerful he is and dealing with that too. I hope this author lets him be great she seems to like ineffectual badasses....badasses in nane only😒😂

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!

Keenan and Khloe finally got their shit together and they are together finally!! It did take them a minute to admit their feelings for each other, but I prefer both of them being commitment-phobic than just the hero, and both of them have been with other people so I would say it wasn't the manwhore and virgin trope. Khloe's confidence is something I aspire to have, she literally gives zero fucks. My only gripe with this: WHY DOES SUZANNE WRIGHT ONLY RELEASE ONE BOOK A YEAR IN THIS SERIES??
The mystery part was brilliant, I like how the villains are so creepy and actually strong adversaries.

So we know that Raini and Maddox will be the MC's of the next book.
My theories for Levi and Larkan: (NOT A SPOILER)
Levi and Elle (the witch that created the helix for Khloe)
Larkin and Teagan (Khloe's anchor) I thought I saw a vibe between them in Devon and Tanner's book.
Also my favorite character in this book is Aunt Mildred lol

I see a synopsis!

Also idk why I never pictured Khloe to look like Jessica Jones but I am kind of hear for it :)

Omens is book 6 in the Dark in You series and I loved it from beginning to end. While I haven't fallen in love with this authors shifter series that is not the case for the Dark in You series. There is just something about all the characters that I adore. In Omens we finally get Keenan and Khloe and their chemistry is off the charts. As they become a couple they will be faced with someone from Keenan's past that brings with them a twist connected to Knox. Asher will again show that although he's just a toddler his power is something to cause worry for Knox and Harper. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

If you have read 1 book by Suzanne Wright, you've kind of read them all.

Female in distress.
Knight in shining armour coming to the rescue.
-and sex.

After so many books, it actually becomes a bit boring.
It's the same story, but with different names.

The first books in this series were interesting and fresh enough, even with her usual writing style. The last two were nice to read, but really nothing different or peculiar. Nice, but nothing to talk about.

‘Omens’ is thus far my most favorite installment of the ‘Dark in You’ series. It centers around Khloe, an imp, who was a breath of fresh air, relatable and laugh out loud funny. The way she drove our beloved incubus, Keenan, crazy with her antics were the most memorable scenes aside from getting a bit more background info as to why Khloe is the way that she is.

As always, the author did a fairly decent job building a world where readers can easily dive into and building the characters and their storylines. She also teases readers with a glimpse of the next couple on our list, Raini and Maddox which I seriously can’t wait for because something tells me their installment is going to blow everything else out of the water.

I’ve been a bit of a book funk lately, nothing was grabbing my attention, so I decided to go to one of my go to/favourite authors, Ms. Suzanne Wright.

When you’ve invested in a series that you love for me there is then this niggle of worry. Will the author give us what we want? Will it be the same ole’, same ole’ cookie cutter although it works.

Both Keenan and Khloe were wild cards for me. Five books in and I still couldn’t get a feel for Khloe or Keenan. Yes, the basics were there but maybe not knowing was also the whole appeal to it. And I’m rambling.

The more I got into the book, the more addicting it became. I enjoyed it very much.

I commend SW building on already existing fantastic world with upping the game and her demons that we encounter. What's not to like? Strong heroines, engaging story and a baddass alpha Hero.

I can’t wait to see where this goes, fingers crossed Raini and Maddox Quentin are up next.

Last words: Read the book and the series.

3 stars... not a bad book overall but there were a few things that brought my rating down.

1. The conflict was once again prolonged by not using an obvious solution. They kept killing the “bad guy” who would resurrect himself a few days later. Why not try to capture him instead? They went looking for him repeatedly knowing that he couldn’t be permanently killed with their powers.

2. More OW drama. Sigh. 😩

3. The MCs knew each other for years and were attracted to each other but for some very unclear reason, the hero was determined to stay away from the heroine. Tbh I didn’t understand it at all. I also felt like the heroine let him get away with too much too fast and should have made him work a little harder to be with her.

SWE, as I said above, they knew each other for years and were both with others during that time, even though they both wanted each other. Heroine almost kisses OM. Once they are officially together, they stay together.

A little mediocre 3 stars
To be honest, I didn‘t enjoy this quite as much as the other five books, mostly because I just didn‘t care for Keenan. I didn‘t like a lot about their situation and how they treated it, the wager and how it all progressed. I just don‘t care much for him.

I also felt that khloe lost a little of the edge she had in the previous books. Wasn‘t too impressed with the plot and character building throughout the whole story. Everything felt just underdeveloped somehow. There were too many people involved to write a decent relationship building, no matter friends, family or partner.

But still. It was a Suzanne Wright story and I just like her writing and heroines almost always, I was entertained enough.

It just didn‘t grip me, as I thought it would, especially as I was eager to read about Khloe since I learned there would be companion novels to Harper and Knox.

I've always been curious since reading about Khloe and Keenan. How their story would pan out. Keenan seems so restrained while Khloe is reckless, impulsive and crazy. I love her kind of crazy. I love Khloe. Period. Keenan is hot but no one could top Knox for me (just saying).

And I seriously did not mind it took years for them to get together. I hold that against Keenan. I love Khloe because she did not pine for him.

This one did not disappoint. A lot of action and Khloe handled it well. She kicked ass. Did I say I love her? Second to Harper, of course.

Now, it's waiting time for Raini and Maddox story. I hope they are next. I am also curious about Maddox.
