Rate this book

In this fast-paced world that puts immense stress on your time, relationships and finances, you often have so many questions.

Why were you born?
Where are you going?
Why did you choose to experience life in this physical body? Why do you feel the connection with some and not with others?
Will you overcome your life-challenges?

Your Sailboat Needs No Engine is a book that has the answer to your questions “Why me?” and “How do I find my purpose?”

Why do philosophies have to be so hard to understand and relate to?
Why are they in a language that is understood only by a selected few? Why should only some fortunate ones receive answers, lightness and flow in their lives?

The laws of the universe are broken down to a simple philosophy in Your Sailboat Needs No Engine.

A breezy read, its bite-sized chapters can be read in ten minutes.

The beautiful simplicity of these powerful chapters stays with you and it all starts making sense as you begin to observe how the Universe's rules play out in your life.

And you wonder, how is it that what you chased so hard, now casually arrives at your door?

There is a reason your soul was drawn to this book.

Acknowledge this sign and find out what was meant for you within these pages. Let your emotions and feelings guide you through this holistic perspective of philosophy, written in an easy and modern language.

Your consciousness took this physical form for a purpose. Losing your way was part of the plan.

You planned the route. All you need to do is switch on ‘navigation’ and gently propel your wheel of life through the waters. Connect to your soul-self and gentle winds will appear. Our faith in the gifts that begin to come our way and the messages we receive during our meditations gradually answer many unexplained mysteries and take us towards our spiritual growth.

You have the power to change the direction of your boat to glide smoothly over seemingly deep and rough waters.

Inspirational, Spiritual, and Life Defining

This is more than a book—it is a spiritual guide to help the reader navigate the way forward in her/his life. The philosophical questions the book pose encourage introspection, acknowledge the current reality, then connect with the soul to align with the universe. There are layers of meaning that I know I will re-read many of the chapters and the exercises. I highly recommend this book that will help bring serenity and clarity to life.

Packed with Positive Action Steps and Advice

I’ve worked my way through most of this book one time. But there is so much valuable guidance and advice here, I’ll be referring back to it time and time again. I want to find a weekend to dedicate to the suggested workshop in the back. There is no more important work than finding our inner guidance and living a life true to ourselves. This enlightening book can help us on this journey.

To connect with your inner wisdom

This book is about connecting with the wisdom within to lead a truly fulfilling life. I liked the practical suggestions at the end in the workspace section especially the ones about learning to follow your intuition as that is how I got started on listening to my soul as well too.

I love buying and reading these types of books.
Boats, yachts, historical events and books about the sea are generally excellent. If there are sequels in your series, I would love to read them.

The beauties of owning the books of important authors cannot be discussed. I'm looking forward to your new books.

For friends who want to read this book, I leave the importance of reading a book here. I wish good luck to the sellers and customers...

Top 10 benefits of reading for all ages:

1. Reading Exercises the Brain

As we read, we need to remember the different characters and settings of a particular story. Even if you enjoy reading a book in one sitting, you need to remember the details during the time you devote to reading the book. Therefore, reading is an exercise for your brain that improves memory function.

2. Reading Is a (free) Form of Entertainment

Did you know that most of the popular TV series and movies are based on books? So why not indulge in the original form of entertainment by immersing yourself in reading? Most importantly, it's free with your Markham Public Library card.

3. Reading Improves Concentration and Focus

We all agree that there can be no reading without focus, and we need to concentrate on every page we read to fully understand the story. In a world where gadgets only speed up and shorten our attention span, we must constantly practice concentration and focus. Reading is one of the few activities that requires your undivided attention, so it improves your ability to concentrate.

4. Reading Improves Literacy

Have you ever read a book where you come across a word you don't know? Books have the power to improve your vocabulary by introducing you to new words. The more you read, the more your vocabulary will improve as well as your ability to communicate effectively. Also, reading improves writing skills by helping the reader understand and learn different writing styles.

5. Reading Improves Sleep

By creating a bedtime routine that includes reading, you can signal to your body that it's time to sleep. Now more than ever, we rely on increased screen time to get through the day. That's why you put your phone away and pick up a book and tell your brain it's time to calm down. Also, since reading helps you relieve stress, reading right before bed helps calm your mind and anxiety and improve your sleep quality.

6. Reading Increases General Knowledge

Books are always full of fun and interesting facts. Whether we read fiction or non-fiction, books have the ability to provide us with information we might not otherwise know. Reading various topics can make you a more knowledgeable person and therefore improve your speaking skills.

7. Reading Is Motivating

By reading books about heroes overcoming adversity, we are often encouraged to do the same. Whether it's a romance novel or a self-help book, the right book can motivate you to never give up and stay positive.
