★★★ The Survivalist is "a cool cross between Justified and The Walking Dead." ★★★

★★★ Check out Dr. Bradley's new apocalyptic western, "The Watchman." ★★★

Following the tragic death of his deceitful lover, Mason hopes to return to the one place where a peaceful life might still be possible. Detouring to recover a hidden treasure of gold, he meets a beautiful widow in trouble. Together, they travel to her hometown of Clover, South Carolina, an idyllic community protected by a police chief and his faithful deputies. Caught in the middle of a plot driven by greed and lust, Mason soon discovers that carrying a king’s ransom is not without its risks.

Meanwhile, Issa and Mother must find their way out of the tunnels under Mount Weather. Pregnant and without supplies, Issa is forced to use her wits and trusty Merkel rifle to keep them alive. As they push deeper into the darkness, they uncover a horror that traces back to the earliest days of Mother’s rule. They quickly realize that their only hope for escape is to trust one another, even if it means taking an unthinkable risk.

With two nuclear warheads in their possession, Tanner and Samantha embark on their journey back to Mount Weather. Along the way, they encounter a bounty hunter in search of his next job. Agreeing to transport him to a place known only as “Sanctuary,” they discover a community built around the unlikeliest of currencies. With evil threatening to tear them apart, they must once again stand together if they are to have any hope of returning home.

Events have made me who I am, neither a hardcore survivalist nor an all-trusting soul. I am a Boy Scout in the truest sense of the word—dedicated to family, country, and good citizenship. As you may already know, an enabling element of those ideals is being prepared.

It took the horrific events of 9/11 to wake me from my routine complacency. In one single moment, I came to realize that our world is not as safe as we would all like to believe. We have no guarantee of safety in this world. Disasters occur on an almost daily basis all around the globe. Major events in recent years have included the devastating tsunamis striking Japan and the coast of Sumatra, the rash of tornadoes that swept across the U.S. in 2011, Hurricane Katrina, the deadly earthquake in Haiti, and the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico to name just a few.

I believe with all my heart that we have a duty to prepare our families for the dangers they face. I started my preparation by reading nearly every disaster preparedness book currently available. If you check Amazon, you will see that I am the #1 reviewer for many of these books. Even with all the material out there, I could not find a single book that offered a complete, well-reasoned approach to practical preparedness. As a NASA engineer, I took up the challenge by conducting very careful research – disecting fact from folklore. Three years and many thousands of dollars later, I have finally released a handbook that offers well-researched advice that can be put into practice in the real world by normal families.

I wrote this handbook for my own family, but I would be honored to share it with yours. If you are not fully satisfied with the Handbook to Practical Disaster Preparedness for the Family, send it back, and I’ll refund your money, no questions asked.

In the last of the series, events come to a head for our heroes and their quests.

Tanner and Sam discover an even stranger group affected by the virus and discover that past actions have consequences and a dream that Sam has been having about Tanner is fulfilled. While Mason's decision to share the details of the gold causes him more problems than he ever expected and considering his extensive experience, was something he should have known better to do.

This final book does end the events with a satisfying conclusion on all fronts, loose ends are tied up well while leaving an opening for future adventures if requested.

Throughout the series, there has been an extraordinary amount of useful information imparted and the more practical reader could easily put—if needed—some of this information to use. There is also a number of moral tales if you so choose to accept them though I leave it to other readers to share what they are.

Overall, a good read for each book individually and the series as a whole.

A fun series, but I'm glad it's over
I enjoyed the series, especially the interactions between Tanner and Sam, but in this last book all the characters started doing exceptionally stupid stuff. None of them really deserved to survive to the end. I don't much care for plots that are driven by people making one foolish mistake after another. When I start asking myself why the heck a character could be so shortsighted, it totally drops me out of the story.
PS. I also don't like it when a series doesn't resolve issues between books. I don't want to have to read the next book "now", because the author stuck me with a cliffhanger.

So great reading and Learning

I am an avid reader and lately it has been about survivalism. I learned so much and really could not stop reading. Actually this is the second time reading this series. The first it was not all available. So I reread and completed it. Fun, funny in lots of places, scary, realist, fantastical (I hope) in others and romantic. Reading at its finest as nothing was left out. Really recommend it. Also my history is that of teaching emergency preparedness. I learned in these books and you can too! No one can ever be to prepared. If you lock your doors at night, buy life, health or auto insurance you should also be prepared for at least the most common emergency in America which is a home fire. Can you walk away from your home for months and have the basics of what you need? Then you are not prepared! An EMP is a very likely scenario and could put areas or even the country or the world back into the 18th century like this story. How well would you do in that scenario? So read enjoy, think, and prepare!!!

I purchased the last book yesterday and didn't put it down until I finished it tonight (except to sleep last night). Thank you for giving us this series and bringing these characters to life for each of us. I feel like I know them personally and enjoyed how this talented author wrapped up each persons story, yet am saddened that the series has ended. This author is the only writer (and I have read hundreds of books the last few years) that was able to pull me in and literally not let go. His style of writing is the very best I have ever read. Each character in the series are strong, committed, loyal, and often times funny. Love Tanner and Samantha's banter, comraderies, journey and Mason and Bowies journey. I truly hope he continues to write and I hope to read a new series by him some day soon. Thank you Arthur T Bradley again for taking me and your readers into the survivalist series and giving us what I feel is the very best story I have ever read.

The Survivalist Series

5 stars for a story that has kept me and several friends and family members entertained for well over 2 years! Mr.Bradley has a unique ability to weave humor and hope into seemingly hopeless situations. The characters are superb, believable, and quick with a gun or a joke, whichever the situation calls for!
By far the most "upbeat" post apocalyptic novels I have read.
The series was especially enjoyable to me as I am more than familiar with Boone, NC , Roanoke, Va, D.C. and most points in between which is where a lot of the story takes place. But you certainly don't have to be to enjoy the story.
The best indicator of a truly classic story is, "I hate to see it end!"
Get these books! You won't be disappointed!

Excellent series

This was the first "prepper", or post-apocalyptic series I started and I waited with bated breath for each book to come out. Now that it's over I'm sad... Dr Bradley did an incredible job creating fun and unique characters and storylines in each installment. Interspersed throughout the story are real-life tips and tricks for urban survival, recommendations for equipment, and other useful tidbits. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you like a book that will make you laugh, cry, sometimes think, but mostly just entertain the hell out of you!
I hope Dr Bradley plans to write more fiction, as he has a lifelong fan in me.

Awesome ride clear through the series

Not one bad book out of 12. Not an Easy feat for any author!
My only regret is not knowing if Sam gets to grow old enough to meet someone. She is a unique girl deserves a partner as unique as herself. Someone Tanner could at least Tolerate would be make it another adventure and then some...
Have read this series3 times and always find a little something I missed.
Cannot put a higher rating than 5 stars but this series deserves 10.

Wow! What a ride!

I literally could not stop reading this whole series!

The setting, situation, and characters all rolled up together are top notch. I actually took notes on the tips and survival techniques! Thank you! I laughed out loud when the names given to minor characters gave such a clear visual... Peyton and Eli... Really?! Lol!!

The fact that this story began before covid, is more than a bit eerie. Just sayin!

The journey of Mason, Bowie, Tanner, and Sam is non-stop action, wrapped up in the underlying story of family and love!

Definitely 5 stars.

A very good series I really enjoyed, good characters and entertaining action.

I looked forward to reading every book in this series. I even stopped reading another book upon the release of the last two books and dived into each imediately upon receiving them. This is the last book with these characters, but I hope that Mr Bradley will change his mind and there will be more in the future.

Wonderful Series

A few years ago I came across this series and so glad I decided to read the first of many. My son and I have enjoyed it immensely. Hope an Audible version voiced by John David Farrell is also released for book 12 as we typically listened to them. Thank you Authur Bradley for the wonderful gift of a completed and entertaining series -- to all that have or will read it I hope you find it as great as we have.

Great series!

When I started reading this series, I was not sure what to expect? After finishing the 12 book in the series, I am not sure what I am going to read next? Thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Sam, Mason, Bowie, Tanner and Issa. Great characters and really entertaining series. Thank you Arthur for all of your hard work and I look forward to reading more of your books in the future!

An incredible series ends

I have to say that the main characters of this series are my all time favorites! Including Bowie, the wolfhound. Tanner and Samantha could always make me smile, even though their adventures were perilous. And Mason; a real protector of truth and justice, a man of honor, and a true gentleman of romance. I’m really bummed the series has ended, but I plan on listening to every book now. Thank you Arthur Bradley for taking me on such an incredible ride!

Nooooooo

Absolutely loved this series and hate having it come to an end but this final volume was unfortunately just terrible. Got the impression it was written just to put the series to an end and move on. The tempo was off, the characters were off such a sad demise to an otherwise terrific series.

What a ride!

Another great book, in the series and in general. I am sad to think this will be the last time I get to visit these characters in new adventures, but they have earned a break after all they have gone through. I hope one day to read about how life has changed (or not) for the families.

A fascinating 12 book journey

I rarely give a 5 star rating. I was fascinated with relationship between Sam and Tanner, an escaped felon and the President's daughter. Well written with the right amount of intrigue and humor, I read all twelve books. I was sad to read their last chapter.

Thank you for the Survivalist Series

The Survivalist Series of books
Well I think I have to thank you for such a compelling series. As an exservice man I can understand how the people in the books behaved with the problems before them and I hope if this came to pass, that I could be as fourthright as they are if I survived a pandemic. Once again thank you for your books.

Sad it reached an end

My only complaint would be that the last part of the book felt like a rush to end the series and tie up loose ends, but maybe I’m just sad it had to end!
Fun and well written, really holds your attention over 12 books

It was a fitting cap to the series. The story was enjoyable, but there was a noticeable lack of survival tactics that made the series interesting to me in the first place. I am sad to see the series end, but I am satisfied with the outcome.

Not the run of the mill post apocalyptic series. If you're a fan of the genre, you already know most of the tips and tricks that you pick up in these novels. You won't find much here. Arthur Bradley successfully combined "survivalist/prepper/science fiction and entertainment.

Best yet

This one wraps up the survivalist tale of Mason US Marshall & his Father Tanner, ex-con. Though out the series you meet various monsters and regular people learning to survive in a nightmarish world. Characters grow beyond existence, beginning their
lives anew.

Great Series

This is a great series. From book one to the end, it never drags. You go from one adventure to another, and while being wildly creative they are believeable and pull you in. Loved the whole series!

Excellent finale

I will miss these characters. I’ve enjoyed the Marshall, Tanner, and Samantha’s travel as they have tried to bring some justice to a world destroyed by a pandemic. We end with family and hope, which is hopefully how we all make it through hard things.
