This former SEAL will see his mission through, no matter how painful …
When Nash’s best friend, Jesse, is killed on deployment, it’s his responsibility to return his dog tags to his older brother. As an alpha, he’s having a hard time grappling with his failure to save his friend - someone who counted on him. At first, Jahiah doesn’t seem anything like his brother; the omega is struggling to raise his son alone and is practically hanging by a thread. Still, there’s a core of steel to the man that Nash can’t resist. It feels wrong to fall so fast when they’re both grieving, but when Jahiah’s in his arms, it couldn’t be more right.
He needs to do it all on his own …
Jahiah’s too busy to dream about an alpha soldier sweeping him off his feet. Between his job and his delinquent son he can’t afford lose focus. But there’s something about Nash that makes him want more. No alpha could fall for a harried omega with a kid born to cause trouble, but Nash seems determined to prove him wrong.
How can Nash protect his newfound mate from the hardships of the world when the man won’t ask for help? Nash and Jahiah will need to confront their entrenched issues if they’re ever going to survive as a family, but will a fated bond be enough to hold them together or will invisible wounds destroy the foundations of the new life they’re trying to build?
Rescue Daddy is the 6th book in the Timberwood Cove series by Liam Kingsley and my 3rd book in this series. This is another great book in this series. I really loved Nash and Jahiah.
This is the least dramatic book of the whole series and that's why it's my fav. It's been nearly a year since i first started the series with Mason's Regret and here rating another book i liked.
This is about a war veteran Nash, who saw his friend Jesse die in a war, comes back to give his dogtag to his remaining family member Jahiah and finds the guy to be his fated mate.
•Picked this up cuz i wanted to read about an omega single dad having a son which is a rare case in mm book world. Absolutely loved Cody! What a darling child! He read like a true teen boy. Still a kid but also trying to be a responsible big boy but ending up in trouble. He's the kind of son i wanted to read about. Although i wish he and Nash could've bonded a bit more. Not much happened to warrant that.
•This world is different from Liam’s other series in the sense that shifters find their human mates through smell (instead of having sex and finding out).
•But here, i think Jesse’s soul plays the matchmaker? i dunno how much of it was imagined or if he really did some divine interventions for Nash & Jahaiah. Both of the guys talk to him and he guides each of them towards the other. Jesse turned into a god like persona. Well in my culture that is possible so it was nice to see them rely on his guidance.
•So the claiming happened here first and i agree with Jahiah that it was very fast. im glad they were very accepting of the shifter world! Unlike one detective i know, also from this series. 🙄
•im so glad this had relatively less internal drama and more externally driven stuff. Bcuz yes the miscom was petty but they also came around pretty easily. It's one of the least dramatic books in this series which is why it's my favourite. The angst comes from the wildfire incident.
•We see on page ptsd and it was… quite tough to read and my heart broke for Nash. And how the poor man keeps having flashbacks of Jesse. i DO NOT support wars and the american soldiers in wars that their country has created. But maybe i was already in a sad mood but.. Broke down at Jesse's last moment recounting.
Fav quote:
I sat back and watched but couldn’t keep my eyes off Jahiah’s belly. There was something incredibly sexy about the way it shaped his body.
🤗
Some icks i had:
♦So Jahiah had been fired, right? Then what in he right mind made him decide to leave the house?? Like where did he think he would get the money to live off indefinitely? That too with while he's pregnant and also has Cody?
♦Lots of continuity errors and minor mistakes here and there. Eg:
Most of all, Susie loved having them here.
Why would Nash call his own mum by name?
Tropes & tags: shifter x human, human omegas, single dad, rich x poor, men in uniform, war veteran MC, ptsd, mpreg, ultrasound, begging (in sex), rough sex, found family, grieving MCs.
CW: On page mention and description of a flashback and aftermath of bombing leading to a life lost. On page ptsd attacks.
Liam Kingsley's Rescue Daddy, the sixth book in the Timberwood Cove series, is a fantastic mpreg romance.
It's an amazing storyline with multi-layered characters. Nash is a military veteran who's determined to deliver his best friend's last wishes. Dear lord, his memories of Jesse's last moments are gut wrenching. And his PTSD is tragic, illustrated in a superb manner. But when he meets Jesse's brother, Jahiah, he discovers they were meant to meet.
Jahiah and his son Cody's backstory is heartbreaking. They are both so lovable. I just wanted to wrap them up in my arms and help them anyway I could. Their struggles with money and grief are well established and explored throughout. Cody is my favorite character. He's just so darn adorable, adding a lot to the sweetness of the story.
I adore this series of wolf shifters and their amazing community. Everyone is supportive and loving, making for the ultimate group of friends and family. In general, the author once again delivers with a riveting storyline, thrilling characters, and an ongoing storyline of danger throughout the series. The character development is brilliant, leaving me extremely impressed.
The writing of the nightmares and panic attacks is outstanding. The author definitely handles these issues with knowledge, care, and compassion. I could easily feel the pain and struggles the characters experienced.
Their are some serious overtones throughout, as the death of Nash's friend continues to haunt him. Jahiah's panic attacks and money struggles just add to the overall somber tone.
But, overall, Rescue Daddy is a sweet romance, set amidst the background of the seriousness and the complexity of their issues. The shifters, the mpreg, and the overall sexiness involved only adds to the fun. If you haven't yet started this series, do so. It's just delightful!
Noah has returned from active duty and left from the Navy SEALs, he has one more mission to fulfill. He has to return his best friend Jessiah’s dog tags to his brother Jahaih. This is the hardest mission he has ever had to do. He wants to visit Jesse’s grave before doing it first and he stumbles upon Jahaih at the graveyard. But he smells him first. Jahaih is his fated mate.
They go out for a drink after leaving the graveyard and then he gives Jahaih his number to text him. Jahaih is a single father who is struggling to make ends meet. He is bogged down with bills and most especially his brothers funeral costs even though he died while being deployed. Then Jahaih’s son Cody is in trouble with the police for trying to take money from the till at work to help his father with the bills since the water has been cut off.
Noah and Jahaih take their relationship to the next level and then they find out he is pregnant. They are both struggling with depression and Noah is having trouble sleeping. Noah asks them to move in with him and for Jahaih to be his bonded mate. Cody will also be changed in the same ceremony.
The dragons are still causing trouble and setting fires and Noah gets caught up in the fire while trying to save a mans life. Who eventually becomes the police officer’s fated mate but Ian has a daughter who is a dragon shifter........ The story continues.
You won’t be disappointed with reading this story, it really touched my heart with the struggles both Noah and Jahaih had to face. There is continuous action throughout the story and the same level of heat between the fated mates. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Ghostly intervention or Fate? Will it help two men heal?
I loved this addition to the Timberwood Cove series! It picks up where book 5 leaves off, so be sure to read the first 5 books. Time well spent. I can't wait to read book 7! Where do I start? Old friends are back, as are old rogue dragon enemies. There is angst, soul- searching, trust issues, fated mates, PTSD, guilt, loyal friends, sex, and babies. Ooh, and HEA is assured, but getting there won't be easy. This is Jahiah and Nash's story. Nash is returning to the wolf Homestead to care for his ailing mother, after getting out of the Navy. Honoring his best friend & fellow Seal's dying wish, he needs to give his brother his dog tags. Nash held Jessie as he died & feels guilty that he couldn't save him. He never expects Jessie's brother to be his fated mate. Jahiah is a single dad raising a teenage boy. With a ton of debt, mostly funeral & cemetery expenses, he is in die straits. He is immediately attracted to Nash, but as a human, he doesn't realize he is his fated mate. As their connection grows, Nash starts doing what an alpha does for his mate: he protects & cares for him. When Jahiah's son, Cody, gets in trouble trying to help his dad, Nash starts by paying off his debts. Jahiah is fiercely independent, so that doesn't fly. But when Fate throws an unexpected heat and pregnancy at you, well... This book has danger, violence panic attacks, night terrors, and a doting Mom. You will laugh, cry, share their hopes, fears, & joy. You will love this book! I could not put it down. I stayed up way past my bedtime. This book contains adult themes and language, violence, PTSD, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the sixth book in the Timberwood Cove series. In this book, Nash returns from serving in the military where he lost his best friend Jesse and sets out to find Jesse's brother to tell him what happened. Nash is also suffering from PTSD and is getting help. but he still has a lot to deal with. Jahiah is Jesse's brother and a single father to Cody. Jahiah is also an omega and really struggling to make ends meet with his underpaid job. He also is having a hard time coping with Jesse's death. One night while Jahiah was visiting Jesse's grave, Nash came and introduced himself and told Jahiah he had something of Jesse's for him. They talked and agreed to meet again. Nash also realized Jahiah was his fated mate, but he was human and didn't know about the wolf shifters. Nash had an uncontrollable urge to protect his mate and child, but he knew he had to explain things first. Jahiah was also a very proud man who wanted to pay his own way and was not used to someone helping him. Nash had joined the fire department and the dragons were still causing fires around the homestead and threatened everyone's safety. I really enjoyed this book. I loved Nash and thought he was a great guy who really only wanted to help people. I love how this story dealt with mental illness also. A lot of people suffer from this and i think Jahiah described it well. This was another great one from a great series.
Nash, finally coming home to Timberwood Cove. but there are two reasons for coming home, one to finally see his family again and the other to deliver tags of a fallen friends brother. Jahiah and his son live in a run down house that he is struggling to pay the utilities and rent for, they both work at Timberwood Sports Club to try and make ends meet, but on this day Jahiah goes down to the cementry to speak Jesse his dead brother. He cant help but cry once more over what has happened, but then a stranger turns up, Nash a man who knew his brother. Chemistry runs wild with them when they first meet, and they agree to meet again, Love grows between them both but they both have problems to work though and theres a small problem one that Jahiah has been told that Nash is a wolf shifter and the other is that Nash is rich and seems to be paying off all his bills. So much to work though, can Jahiah accept this from his mate?
A five plus rating, i absolutely loved this story. I just love Liam Kingsleys books he really is a good Author and i just love his mmpreg stories with wonderful men who fall in love.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
Tropes in the series now move to best friend's brother and hurt/comfort. Nash returns to Timberwood Cove to give his late, best friend's dog tags to his brother Jahiah. He discovers that Jahiah is his fated mate and begins to try to help Jahiah out of some of his financial struggles and with his son. An unexpected pregnancy, pride and outside danger from dragons puts their entire relationship at risk. It seems strange to talk about realism in a book with mpreg, shifters and dragons, but this entry in the series feels most realistic to me. Jahiah's struggles with money and with his son seem very realistic as does the fact that he resents Nash stepping in and trying to "fix" everything. The explanation of Alpha/omega and fated mates just doesn't do it for this proud man initially. Nash on the other hand is also a proud Alpha and struggles both to accept that Jahiah won't just given in and let him take care of him and their children and to deal with his PTSD from combat. As always in this series you feel secure in the author's portrayal of the importance of family and know that will win out in the end.
To a returning Vet, there's no place like home. Nash, grieving over loosing his best friend Jesse has one last mission to return his dog tags to his older brother, Jahiah. On his drive home, Nash noticed the changes and he noticed the familiar sites, sounds and smells that let him know he was safely home! When Nash met Jahiah, he felt the lightening bold. Jahiah felt a pull of pure lust. Nash was dealing with PTSD and maybe survivor's guilt. Jahiah was struggling with PTSD from the foster care system and the burden of debt while raising a son as a single father. Jahiah encounted a server who flashed orange eyes, but he thought he was imagining it. Many have encountered the flashy eyes, but dismissed and forgot. Will the guys start a relationship beyond Jessie? Will the ages difference matter? Will the dragons finally show themselves? What's up with the military not giving benefits? Can Jahiah find a solution to his cash flow problems? Good characters, good people, excellent story.Timberwood Cove is a good series. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Fated mates, wolves, dragons, danger, a bit of angst and an awesome story-line! This was an emotional story as these guys deal with their life issues. Noah has lost his best friend and Seal brother and is grieving and has PTSD which he is getting treatment for, he is also caring for his mom. Jahailh is also got his hands full with little money and a pile of debt, a son who is trying to help in the wrong way and a strong sense of independence that stands in his way sometimes.
Noah and Jahaih journey is not easy, yet is rewarding for the reader to see them find their way and claim their HEA. Both characters have growth and you will laugh and cry with them. The dragons are still creating trouble and danger does abound.
This is book six of the Timberwood Cove series and should be read in order for full enjoyment. This is a continuing story arch and this book picks right up where book five concluded. Looking forward to book seven!
I was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
This wonderful Mpreg shifter romance is a splendid addition to the “Timberwood Cove Series” & I really enjoyed reading it. There are some character crossovers from previous books but this book can be read as a standalone. The plot is interesting & quite heartwarming. The characters have good chemistry between them & are realistically portrayed with emotion feelings& financial issues but they continue to develop to become well-adjusted individuals. There is: a navy seal & alpha wolf shifter (Nash) has to give his deceased best friend’s (Jessie) dog tags to his brother (Jahiah) who is a human male omega having debt problems & a 14yr old son (Cody) who tried to help in the wrong way, a vindictive boss (Tammy) ( wolf shifters, dragon shifters, humans, fated mates, drama, intrigue, some suspense, action, memories, grief, survivors guilt, panic attacks, PTSD, attraction, complications, insecurities, discovery, emotional support, declaration, surprises, misunderstandings, sabotage, love, steamy scenes, contentment & a happy conclusion for this couple with a interesting.
This is book 6 to the Timberwood Cove series and I absolutely loved this story it’s about Nash who believed that he failed to protect his best friend Jesse while they were on deployment he promised Jesse that he would take his dog tags to his brother Jahaih, as alpha Nash believes that it’s up to him but Nash wasn’t counting on falling for Jahaih he scents him before he see’s him and Nash knows that Jahaih is his fated mate. Jahaih is a single dad who’s having it tough trying to pay the bills even though his son Cody gets into trouble with the police Cody has a good heart all he wants to do is help his dad but he goes the wrong way about it. I loved this story it also deals with PTSD and depression it’s a very emotional heartwarming story it’s a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Nash’s story. Nash returns home after finishing his last tour of duty with the intent to return Jesse’s dog tags to his brother. At their first meeting, Nash realizes Jahiah is his fated mate and sets out to get to know him and then later claim him. Jahiah is hanging on financially by a thread and is so far in debt that he does not see any way out at the present time. Nash has panic attacks and Jahiah has bouts of depression which causes some issues in their relationship, add to that a pregnancy and a teenage son and the story has a lot going on. It is a beautifully written story that is entertaining and holds your attention. I loved the story and would highly recommend it as a great read.
I enjoy Liam Kingsley’s books a lot. They are charming and easy to read and I mean that in a good way. When you want to read something like this rather than war and peace then anything by Liam will fit the bill. One of the things that I appreciate most about Liam’s books are that all the characters are not perfect specimens. For instance one of the heroes of this book is a very poor single dad. One of the other things is that the characters are fated mates, but they still have to go through establishing a relationship. That being fated mates is only that things could be good for the couple. I recommend this book to anyone who loves m/m shifter stories.

Nash returns a fallen comrade's dog tags to his brother and meets Jahiah. Nash and Jahiah meet after Nash discharges from the service. Nash comes home to be with his ailing mother and also to do one last thing for his fellow soldier (Jesse, brother of Jahiah) who died during their last mission. Nash meets Jahiah and realizes he is his fated mate. Nash has to figure out how tell him about fated mates and that he is a wolf shifter. This is a fast paced romance, with hotness, family bonding, a lovely mother and a great pack that accepts Jahiah and his son Cody unconditionally. Read this latest story in this series and enjoy another great happy ending. Now to deal with those pesky dragons.

This is the 6th book in the Timberwood Cove series. It just keep getting better and better. This story touch on PTSD. Written so well even with the Alpha not being all together, and who better to help him then his mate. Nash has been having blackout and nightmares after the death of his best friend Jesse. Can we say that maybe there was a little help from beyond to get Nash and Jahiah together. Jahiah is so strong trying to be strong father for his son Cody. The support that we see the characters give each other and words of caring make this emotional story that you must read. All the mates have their own issue and it show the strength of character of their mates by their side. Highly recommend this book and series today. Cant wait to see the next chapter for the pack
This is the sixth book in the series and although the timelines of the series has been very similar, each couple is different, their problems are different, no more so than the couple in this book.
This is another good addition to the series with great characters, Noah is a navy SEAL who when he goes to return his best friends dog tags, discovers that the brother is his mate. I really enjoyed Jahaih’s snark in the face of depression, something that Noah knows all about. This book is a bit more emotional than the others, having PTSD, trust issues, survivors guilt and depression is some of the things that they support each other through to get to their hard won HEA. This is definitely one to read.
This book brings out all the feels - sadness, heartbreak, happiness. This one is quite a bit different from the others in the series. There's a broken character who's suffering from PTSD after the death of his best friend. There's the best friend's brother who's just trying to survive from day to day, on top of mourning the loss of his younger brother. All of the books in the series have gotten to me in some way, but this one? I cried like a baby.
Jahiah is struggling financially to raise his teenage son. His brother was a seal, but Jesse died overseas while on deployment, and times were really tough. Nash was Jesse's friend - he was with Jesse when he died, and always blamed himself for not being able to save him. When he meets Jahiah to give him Jesse's dogtags, he has no idea what is about to happen to him! But those pesky dragons are still around and causing problems. Will Nash survive the fire? I love this series! I wonder if in the next one Cara finds herself a shifter mate?

Can Jahiah find a way to make everyone happy? Can Nash fin a way to help? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This series keeps getting better and better. Liam Kingsley weaves his tales, that keeps you wanting more.
Nash and Jahiah have one thing in common that brings them together, Jessie, Jahiah's brother. Nash struggles with not being able to save him over seas and Jahiah feels he failed him by not being able to take care of him.
Their struggles of unable to copy with their insecurities almost tears them apart. But when they almost loose each other they realize what is important.
This story end with a twist I did not see coming.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Nash is back in Timberwood Cove he was a navy seal, his best friend died in his arms. Nash now has PTSD, Nash has his best friends dog tags and needs to give them to the brother of his best friend. Jahiah is omega and Nash is alpha Jahiah is Nashs fated mate. They end up getting together. Can they make a go of them in a relationship, the chemistry between them is intense hot and steamy with emotions that makes you want more. Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

Our story this time in the series deals with a couple of pretty big real life issues. PTSD and Depression are not things to take lightly and this story does them both justice in how they handle them.
Our characters are "introduced" because of the Omega's brother and friend to our Alpha. Tragedy is what brings them together and what also bonds them. But learning to live while healing is one of the hardest things to do.
I love this couple so much. They have to learn to communicate maybe almost more then the other couples so far because of their pasts and current situations.
Simple put this story is really more than 5 stars for me.
Rescue Daddy is the sixth book in the Timberwood Cove series by Liam Kingsley. This series is so fun and entertaining, I finish a book and just really wish the next one was out already. This book fits well with the rest.
Nash and Jahiah are fantastic characters and I love their story. There is sweetness, sexiness, humor, drama.... it's fun and interesting too. Plus- it's got Shifters and an mpreg. Loved it and cant wait for more books.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
Brought together in sadness and grief, Nash and Jahiah find they have an instant attraction that quickly develops into a true liking and a genuine connection. This is a highly emotional story that deals with grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and guilt. There is also friendship, healing, love, and a sweetly satisfying HEA. While Nash and Jahiah are the focus of this story, there are also more developments in the continuing problem of the rogue dragons starting fires and a truly unexpected ending.

Nash made a promise to Jesse. He would bring his dog tags to his brother. Nash went to the cemetery were he encountered Jehiah. Jehiah was there talking to Jesse's gravestone. They agreed to go for a beer. When they touched each other they realised there was chemistry between them. They each had issues with themselves. After a short time Nash claimed Jehiah as his. He also claimed Jehiah's son Cody. Their family grew by having twins which they named Jesse and Brooklyn.
