Interesting. My thought-provoking mind had only that single word to say after finishing this book. When you put aside the bias, hate and rose-colored glasses that seem to overshadow the reality of today; this book springs up from the ashes and slaps the reader in the face with facts, and a glimpse into the life of our president. I appreciate this book for many reasons, and the main reason being that it doesn't attempt to sway the reader one way or another. Rather, it informs the reader, and paints a picture of the man in the Oval Office. It depicts Trump as more than just a figure sitting in a chair chiming out orders, it humanizes the man, his family, and gives a real face to the name we all know.
Sorting out facts from biased fiction can be a difficult activity, especially in today's day and age. This is one of the few books a reader can pick up without feeling like they're watching newscasts attempting to slander or idolize our nation's leader.
The book also has a lot of information about the Trump family, not just Donald himself. Doug Wead does a fantastic job telling of the journey from the election to today in office. His backstory is an interesting one, and one I would highly recommend readers to pick up.

Finally, a book about the Trump family with actual, named sources and not the "anonymous" garbage that's been pushed out. I enjoyed every second reading this, which is surprising because I'm not a non fiction fan. I felt I was part of the family and witness to the greatest shake up of the country, (world!), of all time. I love my President even more after this and also have such respect for him and his family. True American heroes.

As others have mentioned here, the book details the incredible amount of work that President Trump has accomplished. And doing all this in the face of incredible adversity: you have to admire the man for that alone. I am not political, but I feel sorry for anyone who is so narrow-minded that they cannot think outside the box that the hateful corporate-owned media outlets have built around us. How dangerous it is to follow something or someone blindly, without getting information from a multitude of sources! Considering the poor ratings of the mainstream media, it is apparent that more and more people are refusing to believe the lies that are spread, great! The mistreatment of this president by the press is an absolute disgrace--but not a precedent--as they abused Abraham Lincoln in a similar fashion. You may not always agree with Donald Trump or like his style, but the persecution heaped upon him--most of the time without any real reason--is destructive, negative, and harmful to every one of us, as well as to the operation of this country and democracy. Start thinking for yourself, and get both sides of the story and then meditate on it. Look at the facts, and the results and then see who is telling you the truth. Journalists should be giving us the FACTS, not their personal opinions and biases, and then let us make up our own minds. Ramrodding their propaganda down our throats is a real insult to our intelligence.
Lastly, I liked how the author brought out the compassion and humanity of this man: it's all but hidden in this media climate we are having to endure. Set aside your biases and take a new look at a fascinating man in a very interesting time in history. Another book on President Trump that I highly recommend because it's factual and has a unique point of view is Conrad Black's "Donald J. Trump, a President Like No Other." You might also like Black's various essays and articles on US and various world events; he's a brilliant man.

I read this book in about a week and was surprised, saddened and happy depending on what chapter I was reading. So many accomplishments by this administration that no one knows about because of the slanted news media and closed minded, sheep mindset that prevails. I love that this book is written with first hand interviews and not hearsay. The quiet strength of the first lady and what she does reveals a heart that is not looking for accolaids but help for those in need. What the media and some hateful Americans do to her is truly shameful. The attack on this president and his family is like no other. Very sad. If you read this book you will come away with an appreciation of just how good things have gotten and the bad things that have been averted.

Doug Wead has been a political insider for years and done other political books. He had amazing inside access to interview key people inside the Trump White House for this book. The stories are fascinating and present a completely different picture than is portrayed in the news media about the transformation of our government during the time that Donald J. Trump has been the President of the United States.
As a conservative Christian listening to this audiobook, I found the information insightful and encouraging. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

The economy is better than it has been in years. Unemployment levels are the lowest they have been in a long time, even among people of color. No wars have begun; rather, they have been averted. Trump has gained the respect of world leaders but is bitterly opposed by leaders in his own country, due in part to the liberal bias of the media. “Inside Trump’s Whitehouse” was written by Doug Mead who interviewed the Trump family to ascertain the true story, and is a man who believes that Trump is one of the best, if not the best, presidents we have had.
In the last chapter of the book, Mead writes, “The true measure of Donald Trump’s success may be seen in the policies and decisions he has made that will survive him and endure.” He asks if the future U.S. will abandon the new treaty between our country, Mexico, and Canada. He questions that we will allow North Korea to go back to testing nuclear weapons. We have won energy independence through Trump. Will we retreat from that? Will we raise taxes again on companies that will drive them out of the United States? He mentions other Trump achievements that are unlikely to be undone. Even the most loyal Democrat needs to consider these issues. Will they be as tolerant as they ask conservatives to be?
No matter what a person’s political leanings are, this well-written book is a book worth reading. The elephants and the donkeys seem to be fighting a political civil war that is weakening our country. Both sides need to be more open minded and willing to compromise wherever possible.

I thought this would be a boring book, I was so wrong! The reader will like reading the interviews of each of Trump's adult children, finding out when Trump decided to really run for president, the chapter about how Trump dealt with Isis is a good as reading a thriller. The author keeps the book very interesting! Just a good read.

So for every ten Trump bashing books you will get one like this, Doug Wead's take on the positive side of the man. One thing is for sure with Donald Trump you will probably be polarized one way or the other.
Then of course you have those in the middle like myself who see the flaws and incessant grandstanding yet also sees the difference he makes from the cookie cutter politician approach. Love him or hate him, the guy sets his own table. Much of the animosity and vitriol directed at him comes from his own doing. Yet much of that same comes from those who are intolerant of anything that goes against their grain. And this is a guy who focuses on doing just that.
Wead obvious likes the man, as from cover to cover he extols the good he sees. And is also obvious that much was done from the inside of the White House to accommodate him on this take. Yet Wead also has a track record of covering multiple presidents, so he as legitimate point of reference.
What Donald Trump has managed to do in his four years of the unlikely presidency is literally stand politics on end and truly shake up the status quo. Much to the consternation of both political parties. How dare he! And that of course his intention.
Despite the many outrages and faux pas' spun by the man he also managed to push some pretty bold initiatives that the typical politician would and have shrunk from. In particular he has called to task all those countries, and that is all of them, that have eaten our lunch while we support their defense and economies as the norm. Bravo to that, something we would never have seen without him. And as pointed out in the book to the relief of the middle class taxpayers who foot the bill.
As the impeachment concludes and the next election draws nearer we will see how it all plays out. One thing is for sure, with President Trump you will never have a dull moment.

A really good an insightful book on the Trump family: how they think, what motivates them, how they approach their current stations in life. Too often we get a distorted or downright false view of the First Family. This book makes sense to me because it seems "right", based on what I have seen of the Trumps in many other (media) settings.
Yes, this is a sanctioned account, so you're going to get the good without the bad or the ugly. For sure, Donald J Trump has his flaws and has made mistakes. He is who he is. So was Obama, and the Bushes, and the Clintons, and so on. This book highlights what most in the media miss, intentionally or not: Donald Trump is compassionate, thoughtful, intelligent, and driven to succeed. He has a wonderfully supportive family.
After a few introductory chapters, the book covers a topic per chapter, getting the "inside" story on each: jobs, ISIS, Russia, the Supreme Court, and so on. There are separate chapters focusing on Don Jr, Ivanka, Jared, Eric, Lara, Melania, and Tiffany.
You get scattered bits and pieces from Trump like this one: "Tackle the big problems first." Good life advice. Those five words go a long way to explaining who Trump is. How many other politicians could you say "tackle the big problems first"?
I particularly like the extensive reference notes. Unlike way too many books, the author backs up his facts with source documentation. The reader can check things out for themselves.
If you don't like Trump, this book probably isn't going to appeal to you. But that would be a shame because you would be missing an inside look at one of the most transformational Presidencies in our history, and I mean that in a positive way. Certainly one of the most outside-the-box Presidencies ever.

Like all conservative books, this one was filled with facts. Check out any leftist article or leftist book and what you'll find is secondhand or "anonymous" sources. But in INSIDE TRUMP'S WHITE HOUSE, we get the real deal directly from President Trump, Melania, Don. Jr. Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany, and more. Bottom line, whatever leftists or The Resistance have told you about this family, you can safely ignore it. (But you knew that.)
In the book, Eric Trump says, "You have every joker in the world coming out with stories that are boosting the author's own self-importance or are simply inaccurate. It literally makes me laugh. Some of these people weren't even there. Some were, but they did not play the roles they said they were playing. Some didn't give the advice they claimed, and some of them spent time doing more harm than good. Then all of a sudden here is a book with them taking credit for winning the election! It's actually flabbergasting."
His comment made me think of when Sean Hannity interviewed Melania Trump and asked her what the hardest thing is she's had to deal with while being First Lady. "The opportunists who are using my name and my family name to advance themselves . . . ," she said. "The problem is they're writing history, and it's not correct."

For not being the most knowledgeable politically I really enjoyed this book. I learned A LOT! And highly recommend no matter what side you choose to vote for. Being better educated and getting your information from more than one resource makes you a smarter voter IMO.

Although I didn't initially support him, I voted for Donald Trump for President; and I continue to support him heartily. I will be voting for him again in November. I have been impressed with all that he has accomplished as President in the face of unparalleled resistance, obstruction, and dishonesty from the left. Reading this book gave me even more respect for him as a leader and as a person. We are lucky to have him as President.

I wouldn't say this book was unbiased, but I would say it is credible. The author clearly liked Trump and tried to make him look good. But he was pretty convincing. Very interesting read that made me see President Trump and his family in a new light. He shows the degree to which the media has conspired against Trump during the election and since.

For me, this has been the most definitive and illuminating book on Donald Trump's presidency. It's unique for the "on record" first-hand interviews that provide incite that no other book has yet matched. If you only read one book on Trump, so far, this is the one.

This was surprisingly poignant and refreshing. A personal look over a period of about 3 yrs of President Trump’s life, along with his family. While some would never consider reading this, it is probably one they should. There are some surprising little anecdotes and insights that really give this book a personal feel and frank look at the 45th President.

This is the most shameless one-sided puff piece of a book I've read. I expected plenty of on the record quotes and insights but not the author to be so blatently partisan in his writing.
This book will serve as a poor foretelling as it's final interviews were in summer 2019.
What an awful book of which the author should be ashamed. Having bragged he interviewed 5 previous presidents and multiple children of them, you expected it to be much more balanced.
Perhaps Trump world did the final edits and rewrites, it would explain everything.
I'm never reading another Doug Wead book.

I would give this book 3.5 stars. A good read by an author who has had access to the WH and written a biography on the last 6 U.S. Presidents. The book is interesting in that it gives insight and detail to every aspect of the Trump family. It was great to see behind the scenes and the Trump perspective in every area of his presidency. It is written with a bit of a propaganda slant, but at least it is not faux news.

Inside Trump's White House is a definite read for anyone trying to figure out which end is up here in this country over the past few years. When the "media" barrages our senses with over 95 percent negative stories on Trump, this book is needed to try to sort fact from fiction. The book felt a little superficial though as it just seemed to serve as a foil to the negative media. Maybe a more in depth look at the day to day operations of the Trump White House is in the works?

I read this 400 page book in less than a week. I couldn't put it down. Doug Wead is a genius writer. Doug brings you literally inside the Trump Campaign. He makes you feel like you are there in real time all the way up to the Election and the first 3 years of Trump's candidacy. Whether you are a Trump supporter or not, this book is an excellence insight on the Trump family. The author interviews pretty much everyone that played a role in Trump becoming the President. Check it out!

Author had in depth interviews with the president, the First Lady, their family and associates. Presidential historian who has known and worked with every president since Nixon.

Although the author’s clear affinity for President Trump and the family obviously colors his writing, I was surprised by some of the things I learned about them and was challenged to rethink some of my misperceptions. In the end, though, I remain unconvinced by either Trump’s “greatness” or the author’s ability to see him accurately.

Lovers and Haters of Trump should read this book. For the lover, it offers a relaxing respite from the 24/7 onslaught of vicious and personal attacks on this President by the mainstream media. For the hater, it offers a balanced, unemotional, and fact-driven account of the most influential man in modern American Politics.
