This was a very easy to read novella. Jeanette came from a very dysfunctional background with a drinking, mean father and a brother that followed in his father's footsteps. Nicholas was an only child, lost both of his parents and suddenly in his mid 30's decides that he needs to find a wife and settle down on the ranch that he inherited from his parents. Neither of them were actively looking for each other, but when they meet marriage seems a good solution for both of them. This is my first book in this series and also by this author. A pleasant read with a good dose of angst and sorrow to keep you involved through the final pages. A sweet, clean romance. I received an ARC copy of the book. This is my voluntary, honest and completely personal review. VICKI FROM WYOMING
Nicholas is looking for a wife. Jeanette is running from an abusive and drunken brother. They marry quickly and as they adjust to married life they begin to learn what love is. What a wonderful surprise when their baby girl arrives early on Christmas Morning. This is book 3 in the Mallow Plains Christmas Romance Series and what a wonderful book it is. I received an ARC of this book from the author, Indiana Wake, and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Love this book wanted it to be longer. What is a girl to do when her brother use her in a card game and lost. He is a drunk and mean but not as bad as the man he lost her to. She ran out of town hoping to find a safe place. She did and a ad for a mail order bride in the new town. She will marry him and hope for the best.

The book was sweet showing how a young girl could go from being a mis treated for years could find love and have a beautiful baby! She finally realized she was free of her nasty brothets!
Her fears from the past often come back to haunt her and he thinks he waited to long to find love. They both come to understand and start living in the present and fell in love along the way and stop fighting the past with the help of a baby.
The Baby in this story is Ellen. The events that lead to Ellen's birth are sometimes sad. In the end Ellen's father and mother find joy in their marriage. Read and enjoy this series, I am.
This was a nice Christmas read. Story giving you hope and positive thoughts. Wish the Author would have made the story a little longer. I always enjoy more of a good thing.
I liked this book's storyline. This book's storyline was sad 😞. I liked Jeanette's character. I felt sorry for Jeanette. I liked Nick's character. I liked the ending.
I love Indiana Wake. These books are stand alone, but share characters. I laughed, I tested up, and occasionally held my breath with nervousness. So very good.
