Didn’t realize this was part of a series but about a third of the way done and really enjoying the story! Perfect though, even as a standalone. This book reminds me of a good old school Nicholas spark’s book. Really enjoyed it!

I bought this book without realizing it was a third book in a series. The cover snagged me, honestly. I flipped open the front cover and was instantly snagged in, even though I realized by about chapter two that it was a series. I loved Sophia and the Sand Queens and felt immediately invested in her story. I ordered the previous two books the next chance I had!

“Wes thought he owed it to her after Sophia had shared the warmth of her laughter on their fake date. It had woken something in Wes that had remained dormant for so long it seemed lost forever. Each time she’d laughed in his presence it breathed a little more life into the withered part of his soul that was supposed to hold hope.”

The past has taught Sophia and Weston that love leads to pain. When their lives entwine, they can’t help but fall in love. But will obstacles from the past destroy everything they build?

‘Sea Glass Castle’ was an emotional, meaningful read. Sophia and Weston are still in love with each other’s previous partners and that is unique, it’s different from other romances in this trope. Their dialogue was quite funny. Despite several mishaps, in the beginning, they communicated well. The most important aspect of a relationship, they give each other space. Sophia and Wes are in the process of healing and they find comfort in each other’s happiness. Weston was more admirable and easy to like than Sophia.

“Are you kidding me?” She reached and poked the charming dimple in his left cheek with her index finger. “Dimples… You’re just too much.” - Sophia to Weston

Ty Prescott, Sophia’s ex-husband had different shades to him. He wasn’t a complete villain and that was realistic. This novel has a massive ensemble cast who were all extremely entertaining. Symbolism was used in various parts of the novel and it worked. The diction suited the mood and the entire plot was well-connected.

“The sky was painting itself in rich pink and orange, so he focused on just taking in God’s wonderment and leaving the trivial mess of Sunset Cove for a spell.”

Sophia’s got an MBA and a stellar resume but she came off as lazy, whiny, and non-ambitious at the exposition. That’s not accurate as later incidents prove otherwise but she was also mean to Wes most of the time. The knitting ladies aka the town’s gossipers felt silly and forced. They tested Wes and Sophia’s patience, and mine too. Drama was cheesy, but cute.

‘Sea Glass Castle’ is recommended to readers in the mood for a slow, comfy, romance. This novel contains themes of christianity and it would be enjoyable for readers who connected to the whole christianity aspect of books such as ‘A Walk to Remember’. ARC provided by Tyndale House Publishers and NetGalley. Thank you.

Y’all, I adored this book.

I’ve read all three books in the series but this one is absolutely my favored. Maybe because there is so much emotion in this story. So much heartache that Sophia and Wes have to overcome.

And that’s exactly why I kept turning the pages. Kept going with through their heartache with them. I wanted them to find their way through the darkness to the hope of happiness.

The added bonus is you get to see the characters from book one and two and it rounded out the series as this one drew to a close.

Contemporary Christian fiction
Sunset Cove, South Carolina

Characters:
Sophia Prescott: Mom of Collin, abused by ex-husband, depressed
Opal: Best friend
Josie: Other best friend
Ty Prescott: Pro football player ex-husband, adulterous wife abuser
Wes Sawyer: Pediatrician, Sophia's nemesis turned boss, turned friend, turned…(smiley face)

Fortunately Sophia, an abused divorcee suffering mortification and a deep funk, has two best friends who will do anything to get her out and to live again. Hm, does that sounds depressing?

It's anything but.

"Sophia dragged her feet all the way to Opal’s van and wondered how she avoided tripping over her bottom lip in the process."

This was such a fun and amusing book with noteworthy dialog!

In the beginning I didn’t like the main character (Sophia) at all. Well, she was basically written as an unlikeable person whose only redeeming value (in my estimation) was that she loved her three year old son with all her heart. For that matter I didn’t much like Wes either (see above characters). Far too brash, and had the bedside manner of a toad. However, as time went on, and a tiny bit of healing began, their true likable and vulnerable personalities emerged. Then it was terrific.

Some of the language was a bit too contemporary for my liking in Christian fiction, i.e. use of slight (not foul) profanity commonly used today. I feel it’s unnecessary and off-putting to some readers. Other readers will think I’m crazy for even considering them profanity. Oh well.

But the overall feel of the book was great, and Christian themes were significant; really significant!

I’d like to read the first two in the series but my library only had this one. What kind of library only has the third book of a series?? Tsk!

This was my first T.I. Lowe book. I’ll be back!

The ending to a wonderful series. Sophia just got out of a abusive marriage. Her goal is to be there for his son and try to survive life. Then Dr Weston came to town. The new local pediatrician. Both Sophia and Weston first meeting was terrible and soon dislike for each other followed. But when there is a office manger job is needed for his office he reluctantly hires her on one condition, she agrees to fake date him to get the local woman to leave him alone. Both has deep scares and soon form and friendship that they both value. Weston is great with Sophia son and Sophia is great for Weston healing heart. Will they finally find love with each other or is there to much heartache between the two of them. This series was the wonderful. The story of both Sophia and Weston is true to what life can throw at you. Sophia in a abusive marriage, Weston losing his wife and unborn child in a car accident. God never promises that life will be easy. There are times that life might not feel like life is worth living but Grace that God promises will be with you during those times and even put people in you life to walk with you. So recommend this wonderful series. It is a faster read so perfect for getting the kiddos back to school and still enjoy reading.

Sea Glass Castle is about Sophia and Wes who are recovering from their respective losses. They come together to "fake date" to keep the lineup of women swooning over Wes non-existent, but they end up being friends and eventually more. This was so cute and it made me chuckle.

Holy Pediatrics! If my sons' pediatrician was half way as hot as Wes Sawyer is described in this book, I wouldn't have minded all of those office co-pays. Sea Glass Castle is the third book in The Carolina Coast Series by T. I. Lowe and it is my favorite of the three. However, I would strongly suggest reading all three so you can enjoy the beautiful conclusion. It will mean more to the reader. This book featured sassy Sophia, who had been an abused divorcee and is raising a three year old son. That sweet boy, by the way is extremely adorable and the star of the book in my opinion. And it also features the preppy, proper, and widowed Dr. West Sawyer, the new pediatrician in town. There is tension, angst, sorrow, and hope for a new future. This book knocked my socks off and I loved it. I truly recommend for any contemporary romance lover who likes clean and sweet stories that inspire and offer hope in a dark place.

Okay, this was really sweet! I found myself annoyed with both main characters several times at their sometimes childishness, but overall the story was really sweet and fairly well done! I love the doctor\medical aspect of course, and the feels hit just right.

'I know I'd do stupid like a boss if it made my woman happy.''

This was just the most precious book! I discovered T.I. Lowe a few months ago and have now read the three books in this series. I love discovering a new-to-me author with a back list of books. I am so excited to read the rest of her books. She is now a favorite. This book is the proverbial icing on the cake of the series. Lowe just blows it away with this one.

Sophia Prescott, one of the Sand Queens of Sunset Cove has just not been herself since her divorce from a popular pro football player. In more ways than one. She is back in Sunset Cove with her family and the two other Sand Queens, Opal and Josie, both of whom got their own book in this series. Seriously, you need to read these books. Sophia has never even thought about a second chance till she meets Dr. Weston Sawyer when she takes her 3 year old son in to see the new pediatrician in town. And things did most assuredly did not go well in that encounter!

Weston Sawyer is most definitely not impressed with Sophia Prescott. And he is NOT looking for love, either. He has moved to Sunset Cove and is still reeling from the death of his wife and baby three years earlier. He is simply existing through the pain.

'Isolation could become its own form of cancer. It invaded any healthy cell of hope and killed off any faith that life could get better.'

Lowe takes us completely into this place and into the lives of these folks again as she weaves seamlessly a story of new beginnings and second chances. God's grace in the lives of these two wonderful people is such a wonder to behold. He brings light into the darkest of pain and disappointment and the light shines even brighter. I was so touched by her handling of these hurts and heartaches of Weston's and Sophia's.

I cried more than once reading this and laughed out loud in a good many more. I love those Sand Queens and also the Knitting Club, who know more than a thing or two about life, and I think the three guys need a club name, too! I loved their part of the story. Such a wonderful read. It just made me feel so good inside. I highly recommend this one, folks. Don't miss it.

*My thanks to Tyndale House Publishing for a copy of this novel. The opinion stated here is entirely my own.

"The Sand Queens had endured their fair share of storms. Some more severe than others, but each time they chose to rebuild a life and move forward, each one holding on to the hope of a greater life filled with love and peace that came even during the midst of storms. For they knew the sun was patiently waiting to shine again. Faithful and true, it always did." 👏❤

Ahhh!! I don't know how to quite express how amazing this book is and how much it filled up my soul! Hands down my fav of the series!! Reading these three books in this series and seeing how three strong women supported each other in Christ alongside loving, God-fearing men was way beyond inspirational. I connected deeply to all of these characters' stories, but in a very profound way to Sophia's. Her journey of being transformed by God's love and refined and supported by Wes's similar story of searching for hope in tragedy was BEA-U-TIFUL!! 😭😭 Man, did I want to rip the throat out of her slimeball, abusive ex-husband 😉, but once again, this author doesn't disappoint in creating a moving, faith-fueled testament to a woman's worth and the power of a Godly man in Sophia and Wes's story of healing from trauma. I loved how they encouraged each other back to God as their anchor and how they anchored each other also along the way. Once again, there was over the top hilarity and humor throughout the struggles, which helped in lightening what could've been a heavy story.
God never promised us ease, constantly tranquil waters, or always clear skies; BUT He did promise to be the Light in the darkness, always giving us purpose in the pain. I think the author communicated that perfectly in this entire series. T.I. Lowe managed to pen three very different women and men all going through stuff, into one breathtaking, redeeming series full of beach vibes, Southern charm, and God's irreplaceable love.
I will definitely need to re-read this series as a reminder of God's sovereignty amidst chaos and His promises of never-ending love.

Sea Glass Castle is aother sweet, inspirational romance in the Carolina Coast series. Wes needed an office manager for his pediatric practice, and Sophia needed a job. Their work relationship and friendship starts off rocky as they overcome some obstacles. In the end, they help each other work through a lot of past hurts and heartaches. If you enjoy contemporary Christian romance stories, you'll enjoy this conclusion to a fun series.

Good, sweet, wholesome romance story with lovable main characters you can relate to. The biggest charmer is Sophia’s son, Collin, he stole my heart. I got a kick out of him as he wants to be a big boy and starts the potty-training process. It’s fun to watch Dr. Weston help Sophia do this; so many funny scenes and witty dialogue.

I adored the supporting quirky characters such as the ladies in the “Knitting Club.” Hilarious. Weston, “Shaking his head, he directed his focus on his fake date. (Sophia) “Please. Did you call them the Knitting Club earlier?”

“Yes, but that’ s just the front they use for the gossip ring they’re actually running.” LOL!

Circumstances change in Sophia’s life to where she needs a job and the only one in town is the one working in the Dr. office with Dr. Weston Sawyer. She could not believe it. If she wasn’t so desperate, she would not even apply. Weston felt the same way. “Why did this woman want a job? Didn’t her famous Football player husband give her enough money to live how she was accustomed to?”

Things change after Dr. Weston Sawyer finds out why Sophia needs the job. He hires her under a few conditions. Sophia reluctantly agrees. Neither of them knew how those circumstances would change both of their lives.

I get a kick out of the deal Dr. Weston and Sophia come up with to work together and keep people out of their business. Both are in the public eye, Sophia more than the Dr. because she was married to a famous football player. This is a great, fun escape. It’s the first book I’ve read by this author it won’t be the last. This novel works well as a book club pick and just for fun.

Oh Sophia. I’ve been waiting for your story since the first book in the Carolina Coast series. I could tell there were so many layers we weren’t seeing yet and I was right. Your story was so very much worth the wait. And adding Wes & his layers to the mix was exactly what your story needed. Both of you have been broken by life, heart-fragile from the loss of dreams & love & the life you thought you would be living. Yet, God is still in the business of making something beautiful from the storms of life, and your stories show that perfectly.

Can I also say here (well, i’m gonna anyway) that everyone needs surrogate big brothers like Lincoln & August??? My heart melted all over again when I saw (and heard about) how they protected Sophia. Ladies, when you find a man who will love you fiercely and will also protect your friends, you’ve got a keeper. As always, it’s good to spend more time with Opal, Josie, and the Knitting Club (aka the well-meaning & often hilarious elderly ladies in town) but it was Linc & August & Wes who stood out in Sea Glass Castle. (Side note: Do you think they would stand for a nickname like the girls have with the Sand Queens? I mean, one of them did say “I know I’d do stupid like a boss if it made my woman happy” so I think we need to make that happen haha.)

Bottom Line: Once again, T.I. Lowe takes emotionally broken characters and wraps them in grace, love, and hope, allowing us to see ourselves in each protagonist even if our life experiences have been very different. Sea Glass Castle is a perfect blend of southern sass, small town living, laughter, tears, and redemption. It can be read as a standalone (just like its predecessors) but if you’re not reading the whole series, you are really missing out.

(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. In the interest of full disclosure, I also received compensation from the publisher to coordinate an instagram tour for this series with JustRead Tours, a company I partially own. All views expressed are still only my honest opinion & were not in any way influenced by compensation for coordinating the tour.)

Welcome back to Sunset Cove, a quaint little town set along the coast in this third book in the Carolina Coast series. The Sand Queens are back in full force, with two of the three now happily married and one of them returned back to town divorced and sorely wounded in spirit. Sophia Prescott along with her young son is back in town after her high profile divorce badly in need of a job and some girl time with her friends, Opal and Josie.

Opal’s new neighbor, Dr. Weston Sawyer, a pediatrician with a sorrowful past, needs an office manager. After meeting Josie in less than ideal circumstances, he is certain she is the last woman he would ever hire. However, best laid plans are often circumvented when someone puts their mind to it. Josie gets a second chance to prove herself capable in spite of her outspoken manner. With sparks flying, are Wes and Josie going to be able to get any work done?

Read this entertaining summer romance filled with friendship, faith, healing, and second chances. This novel can be read as a standalone, but I believe it works better if you’ve read the first two books to have the background story. A great ending to a charming southern romance!

This copy was received from Tyndale House Publishers and Netgalley. The above thoughts and opinions are wholly my own.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoy this story. I am going to miss these characters. Wes stole my heart. I am so glad that he was paired with Sophia. Wes and Sophia had past tragedies that they had to come to terms with before they can have a romantic relationship. I appreciated the advice of Sophia's mother when Sophia asked her how to help Wes. Colin is such a darling and Miss Delma is hilarious. I hope Seth will have his story at some point. He could have a Christmas story. The friendship among Sophia, Josie, Opal, Linc, August and Wes was so encouraging. It reminds readers of what friendships should look like.

"The shadowy defeated version was something he just couldn't handle, but that tiny woman all riled up and feisty was a different story."

Sophia Prescott is a force to be reckoned with, especially when she bursts into Dr. Weston Sawyer's pediatric practice demanding his attention for her son. But after a heated exchange about what turns out to be a non-emergency, she huffs and puffs like she wants blow his house down . . . . and then leaves. And that . . . was that. So when she basically comes back begging for a job as his office manager, Wes has every intention of turning her down, and rightfully so . .. right?

Enjoy the sparky exchanges between a thoroughly defeated divorcee and a withered down widower as they progress from being tossed about like broken glass in the sea to landing beside each other on the beach as new creations, "pressed down on every side by troubles, but . . . not crushed". And that beside-each-other-thing ends up working just fine.

Sea Glass Castle by T.I. Lowe is a book I picked out based totally on the title and the cover. I love sea glass. I have a couple of pieces of it that were added into a couple of dishes that I just LOVE. It is the third book in the Carolina Coast series. I read this book as a stand alone without any problems.

Sophia Prescott is raising her very young son after moving away from a nasty divorce from a football player. She has moved back to Sunset Cove to be nearer her best friends the Sand Queens. She needs a new start - along with a job.

Dr. Weston Sawyer is the new pediatrician in town. He has gone through a horrible tragedy of his own and has moved to Sunset Cover to start over. Sophia and Wes do not have an easy first - or second meeting. As a matter of fact they seem to spark off each other. But now she works for him and he has begun to take steps to starting something with her, when her ex shows back up.

I loved the idea of Wes and Sophia. I loved the small southern town with a beach. I loved the Sand Queens and their strength. Sea Glass Castle by T.I. Lowe is a great read.

This third and final book in the Carolina Coast series ended up being my favorite by far! I definitely soaked up each scene of this sweet romance with pure delight in this story. Wes? Do not even get me started! What an incredible compliment to Sophia, who had walked through a terribly abusive marriage, and was not in a good place when she met Wes. His gentleness with her was so sweet, and I found his seriousness to be incredibly charming. I loved the way Sophia was never phased by how composed Wes always was, but was just herself around him and brought out his more lighthearted side.

I also loved the role Linc and August had in this story! I felt like we got a glimpse into another side of their characters, and got to see how their friendship developed with Wes. Not to mention their brotherly love towards and protectiveness over Sophia. The scene in the church where they only left one seat open-every woman needs a support system like that.

While I got a bit frustrated with Sophia in not swiftly kicking Ty out, the realities of navigating divorce from an abusive person include times of doubt and being confused by love bombing, so I was glad those scenes were included. Although this felt like the heaviest story line out of all three books, the friendship and romance that developed in this midst of the grief and pain was just precious. Every once in a while an author writes a romance that seems so real and so precious the story really just stays with you, and this one will stay with me for a while.

Oh my word, what a finish to this trilogy! So stinking good. Some readers fade off after the first or second book in a series, but that is such a mistake when you’re reading anything by T.I. Lowe. Just go on ahead and read them all, every book. The characters in this series have been so wonderful, and not just the Sand Queens, but their true to life heroes as well.

I was so moved in this last book by the raw, authentic grief Wes wrestles with, and how Ms. Lowe didn’t shy away from the fact that the grief of lost love never really goes away. Wes’s story is instead far more like reality, where new love doesn’t erase or fully heal the pain of loss, but it does ease the pain and transforms it if one is willing to make room.

I also loved how Sophia struggles with her feelings in a very real way, too. A cheating, abusive spouse with a gift for manipulation leaves a lot more than bruises behind. Sophia’s internal warring and journey to rediscover her own strength is inspiring. And the fact they both must allow God to tumble their sharp edges into something new, well, that’s beautiful too.

Also, please give Seth at least a novella or something. I need more of that laid back dimpled charm. Christmas, perhaps? *hint hint*

Thank you, NetGalley for the privilege of reading this book for review. I gladly and freely give my own opinions with nothing required or implied in return.

Sea Glass Castle is the delightfully satisfying conclusion of the Carolina Coast series. Everything about this book from the packaging to the characters to the plot and heart of the story exudes excellence. Consider this my standing ovation for the author and publishing team, bravo!

The second chances and redemption in this story had my heartstrings looped in pretty little bows. The entire cast of characters ebbed and flowed in a tide of united love and protection. My reader heart soared as Weston, Sophia, and especially little Collin were wrapped in the genuine cares and prayers of their friends, family, and community. If the Sunset Cove community wasn't fictional, I'd be packing up my family for the coast because we could all use a support system that includes men like Lincoln Cole and August Bradford.

I said it before and I'll say it again, T.I. Lowe gently probes the heart with authenticity, hope, and humor. The quintessential coastal town of Sunset Cove is an irresistible setting for this heartwarming and masterfully delivered series. I highly recommend Sea Glass Castle by T.I. Lowe and the entire Carolina Coast series.

T. I. Lowe has done it again. She has penned another story that feels so real I want to travel to the Carolina Coast and meet up with the Sand Queens for some of Berties cookies or catfish stew.
The story deals with the topics of abuse and loss, which may be hard for some readers. But it is done so in a redemptive way and the characters are able to work through their sorrow through the love and support of others.
This was one of the most emotional books I’ve experienced for awhile. There were moments of heartbreaking sadness where tears streamed down my face. Other scenes had me laughing out loud. And there were even a few that made me pretty angry at a certain individual and his actions. This is a huge testament to Tonyas ability to write realistic stories, characters and situations.
Reading this book was bittersweet. I was so happy to read Sophias story but sad the series is ending. I’ve enjoyed my time with these characters and I have a hunch that I will be reading these books over and over again.

Well, Sophia's story did NOT take the route I expected at all! Yes, I knew something was up when Dr. Sawyer moved in next to the Cole's, but boy was I not prepared for the emotional ups and downs in this one...
absolutely adore how T.I. Lowe keeps the friend groups front and center. another story with reminders of God's faithfulness and his ability to be glorified even through tragedy and loss.
And I enjoyed having to use the dictionary a few times in this one!

T.I. Lowe crafts incredible stories with vibrant, strong-willed characters. Where else could a determined divorcée face off against the new doctor in town and end up winning his heart? This is the third book in the series, which made it exciting to see familiar faces, but it also makes a nice stand alone.
