Just over a week has passed since Angie, David and Jenny said goodbye to Barb and Alesta, the German Shepherd pup. David and Jenny convince Jon and Angie to come to a dance at the neighborhood Rec Center and mysterious things begin to appear. Jenny’s prophecies guide them to a magical artifact that transports the Zodiac Cusp Kids away from the dance on a world-hopping rescue that opens their eyes to a terrifying new enemy, and to some powerful magical allies closer to home than they’d dreamed.
Something Found is the fourth of seven stories drawn from Angie’s diaries. Kept safely hidden for decades, they tell how the kids spent their teenage years – working with their mentor, Mr. Rakow, and Jenny’s mom, Lorraine, who dabbles in witchcraft, to realize their power and battle the forces of darkness that menace their hometown.
In my opinion, book four of the Zodiac Cusp Kids is the very best and reminds me, partially, of Roger Zelazny's Roadmarks. Angie, David, and Jen are really coming into their powers by book four and I'm very excited to see where this new story line leads.
What a grand story in Something Found by Sarah Dale. I am a big fan of this author! Whatever this author writes, I read. I read the first three books in this series Tales of the Zodiac Cusp Kids and enjoyed them. I know there are more in this series, and I can't wait to read them. This author brings the story to life. The characters had a lot of depth and were very real. The tales of the Zodiac Cusp kids are not just entertaining, but there is something about secrets, magic, and terrifying adventures to keep your interest. The story is pulled from Angie's diary (as are the others), and share their journeys as teens, and the unique encounters they have. Something Found brings in a new enemy, and a new desire for survival. I love it when a Legacy author sends me more of their work! This author has a great imagination. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. Something Found is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more titles by this author.
