This was SOOOOOOO bad.
This wasn't a romance.
This was just a shit-tastic horror show of cheating and random OW.

The H was not redeemable in ANY way.
Like...NONE.
Like...Never in his whole life.
Like I kept hoping another man would show up and take her away from him.

And the fact the h chose the Hero over other available beef cake?!?!?!? (She should have picked Brad. Just sayin')

Jesus, the H/h deserved each other.

Any man who treats a woman this way is not a man, any woman who puts up with it...doormat...revoke her woman-card.

BTW...I'm glad she fucked Brad.

“Something wasn’t adding up. He was gorgeous to look at: physical perfection. And in the short time I’d known him, I could tell, despite his flippant attitude, that there was much more to him—much more to his level of intelligence. Call it a sixth sense”

Sixth Sense?

Did you mean Totally Dense?

**********A Lot Of Spoilers Ahead!!!*********
I was really loving this one until around 70%. Josh made me angry when he fucked some random groupie! I didn't get the details so I kind of was praying that he some how was so drunk that he just thought he did it. lol
Then at 85% I wanted to launch my kindle. Ugh! Cori fucked one of the other male performers. One that she knew had feelings for her! That was just mean in my opinion!!
They both pissed me off! Her more though because of who she was with.
Cori was kind of immature acting and at first I didn't mind but it got annoying toward the end.
I'm glad Cori and Josh got their HEA but to me I just didn't care after their fuckfest! lol
I still enjoyed the book and will be seeking out more from this author:))

I was lucky to have received an ARC in exchange for an honest review for A Kiss Down Under Book Blog.

Wow! What a hot, steamy read!! It has just the right amount of angst in it where it isn’t too over the top. I’ve read all of KM Golland’s books. This book is so different than her other books ….and when I say different, I mean GOOD different!! This book just grabs you from the start. The characters seem real and the situations seem plausible. And of course, you have the normal Golland humor thrown in. I laughed so hard at some parts where my family thought I had lost my mind. (Kelly, you make my swearing even worse after reading your books!) This book also made me blush… that whole apple scene…. I won’t be able to look at an apple ever again without blushing!

This book is about a freelance photographer named Corinne that was hired to document a national tour for an all-male revue. One of the dancers, named Josh immediately is drawn to her. But Josh is known for his wild, sex craved ways… you know the type, sleep with them and the leave them type and this puts Corinne off. Josh is determined to get her and she is determined to avoid him. There are moments where you adored Josh and you think he has changed and then bam you want to hit him in the head. He’s a jerk but a dirty mouthed jerk that would make your knees go weak. Corinne had her moments as well but I loved the way she stood up to him and didn’t give a f*c$ about saying what was on her mind.

I can’t wait to read more from this author. You did it again! FLOVED it!

Josh, at times, was a difficult hero to write. Some may say an anti-hero, some may not. But that's what I liked about his character. He was flawed. Perplexed. He had good and bad days. But at his core, he wanted to be a better version of himself.
Cori was Josh in reverse. She started almost angelic. Miss Perfect. But anyone can be influenced to join the dark side when they've been cut.
Fortunately, she preferred the light.
Revue is an emotional rollercoaster, but it's also fun because... well... rollercoasters are fun.

Omg! It's been a while since I've had so much fun reading a book. I am telling you, this book took me out of my book funk! It had everything I needed. Humor,a lovable heroine, a cocky hero and steamy scenes that nearly set my Kindle on fire!
Cori is a photographer and she has a mission; she has to cover the tour of the Wild Nights Revue. She has to face gorgeous male strippers for twelve weeks because her brother, who was in charge of the photos, is currently at the hospital.
Reluctant and extremely annoyed, she takes the job and suddenly she wishes that she hadn't. Her first impression of the Revue is not good, especially when she meets one of the dancers, Josh. Josh is a walking/talking manwhore who sleeps with everything that moves. Cori is not in the least impressed by him and she is not hesitant to show it. She cannot stand him. He is everything she doesn't like in a man.
The handsome Josh has other plans though and he makes it his mission to have Corinne fall into his bed. Corinne doesn't like his type. He is arrogant, dirty mouthed and doesn't do love or relationships. She wants everything that he doesn't want to give...but Josh has all the moves and he knows it.

 photo apr8U6B_zpszs6wcmej.gif

He plays with her and knows that despite her evident disgust something else lurks beneath her denial. Cori will ultimately fall for his charms but things are never easy. No, they get complicated because Josh has issues. Issues that he hides by sleeping around and hurting people who love him.
I found the characters extremely likeable, despite their faults. They were very real and I liked the fact that Josh didn't change overnight.
I also found the rest of the Revue boys amazing second characters! They were all fantastic and added to the plot.
The images the book brought to life were amazing and extremely sensual. I loved it. It didn't objectify the characters and that made me love this book.

 photo channing-tatum-magic-mike-o_zps8tkizald.gif

I enjoyed the writing style; it was smooth and the development greatly orchestrated. The emotions and the build-up were just at the right pace and I liked the fact that the book had me guessing till the very end.
If you love dirty mouthed dancers, then this is for you. If you enjoy a complicated plot with great twists and turns, then look no more. Revue is the book that will make you laugh and also make you think. Think about what? Love and life in general.
Excellent work. I haven't had this much fun reading a book in ages! I totally recommend it.

5 Stars from me!

Leaving you with this because...Well, because....Just read it and you'll understand........

Review by Lisa Kane
Having read almost everything KM Golland has written, I am more than familiar with her often snarky, witty, clever style. But in Revue she has kicked this up a notch with her character, Josh Adams. He is the star performer for Wild Nights Revue, a male revue show. This guy brings new meaning to bag them and leave them hanging for more. In fact, our heroine, Corinne's first view of him is his intense screwing of one of his groupie up against a vending machine. (Not sure if they made a selection for any of the treats in the machine) And when our hero is finished, he eyes up Corinne and asks her, >"Want to ride my cock like this bitch just did?" (he's one suave guy isn't he?)

Corinne is stuck with being the revue's official photography as they make their way across Australia for the next 3 months. Her brother accepted the job, then got hurt and Corinne has no choice but to agree to do it. She prefers photographing landscapes versus people (they give her far less trouble) but that kind of work doesn't really pay the bills for their business.

The other guys in the revue are a little less full of themselves. One in particular, Brad, has a protective instinct when it comes to Corinne. These guys are luscious, built like gods and totally lickable. But they work hard to keep those hard bodies and most of them view this as a just a job. But not our man Josh; getting the next gorgeous girl under him is a way of life. As he tells Corinne:

"Why do you f#*k so many women?"
"Because I like to."
I stared at him. "That's it?"
"Yep. I like to F#*k. I like to f#*k women. They like to f#*k me. So...we f#*k."

Their love hate relationship spices things up. Josh is determined to have sex with Corinne before the tour is over; she insists that in spite of her lady bits wanting nothing more than to spread wide for Josh, she won't become one of his conquests. She senses there is more to him than just that gorgeous face and chiseled body made for sex. But is he worth ending her year long dry spell for?

"There's more to life than sex, you know.

Yeah, there is, sweetheart. Sex with me." Josh leaned closer, his breath hot on my neck. "And you're gonna experience that real soon."

Eventually ying meets yang and Corinne isn't going to keep fighting this losing battle. Josh seems to be changing little by little. He still insists love is a fairy tale (there's a whole heart breaking story on where that belief comes from) but can he go the distance? When he gets hurt he tends to self medicate with vaginas. Is that going to happen this time?

"I'm sorry, I...I didn't m-"
"Josh, don't I said exhausted. "There's no point. This was never going to work. We barely know each other, and jumping straight into...f#*k, I don't know, into something...was just stupid."

Oh boy, cue my eyes getting wet.

There are lots of angsty moments in this story. Some really sad, gut wrenching ones too. Both Corinne and Josh make some stupid, hurtful decisions and the light of day makes them regret and question why they do the things they do. I found this book to be a pleasure for my reading eyes. It's funny when it needs to be, hot to the point that you may want to break out your own BOB (too much info?) and poignant when you need to remember that sometimes the heart can change even the most pig headed mind. This is one recommended read from me!

Love should be pain immersed in comfort. It should be fear wrapped in courage. It should never be easy.

Where is an ARC when you need it??

He was on a collision course.
… I had paved my way
He answered to no one.
… I respected authority
He wanted me.
… I despised him
He didn’t take no for an answer.
... NO!

When freelance photographer, Corinne Lee, is required to visually document the nationwide tour of Wild Nights Male Revue, she finds herself in a world of near-naked, testosterone-fuelled men on stage—not her photographic muse of choice. She also finds herself in the arms of Josh, the revue’s star performer.

Josh Adams thrives on the limelight, the stage and, most of all, the attention of women who endlessly throw themselves at him. He dances sex, speaks sex, breathes sex … is sex! Josh lives for sex, but never with the same woman.

When both opinionated and headstrong characters are closely thrust together in a lust-ridden and sexually-charged environment, which of the two will break first?
Will Josh realise that Corinne could be the exception to his ‘no strings’ rule? Or will Corinne let go of the fantasy of finding Mr One and Only?

No.

Ugh.

No.

I should have guessed. I didn't realize this was the same author that wrote the Temptation series which I wholeheartedly disliked. Stephanie, do your research. Shame on me.

I really started to get into Revue at first. It was a little cheeky, Corinne was full of sass, and the plot was intriguing. And then a meteor fell down from the sky, directly onto my Kindle, and I realized I wasn't enjoying myself at all.

First of all, I couldn't tell you more than a handful of facts about each character, especially Josh. We get a glimpse into his apparently horrid homelife, but it's left vague and as a reader, I don't really know what to do with that. Am I to make up my own scenarios? I don't know if he came from money, was neglected, was abused, was forced to do Magic Mike musical numbers for hours and hours and hours... oh, the horror . But for real. I don't know anything about him. And aside from a little bit of information about Corinne's family (she loves them, that much I understand) and a brief rundown of her he-shall-not-be-named ex (his name was Steve), I don't know why she is the way she is. Or why anyone is the way they are. I like a little background with my characters. It makes me feel more empathetic toward them when the shit inevitably hits the fan, eh?

Okay, so the plot was interesting. It's rare to read anything that delves into (or glides over, in this case) the world of male stripping. Except, in Revue, it just felt like another rocker/sports romance, or something similar to that. There was little focus on the stripping itself, which could have been an interesting angle. I mean, why do these guys do it? If Corinne could have become friends with more than just Josh (and Brad, I guess), we could have learned the motivations of why these guys have focused on this line of work. Good money? Getting laid? Just like to dance? Boredom? Matt, for example - the ringleader of the men. He has a solid girlfriend, and seems a bit indifferent to the whole stripping world. Sure, he likes the business behind it... the marketing and advertising and such, but that doesn't mean he is required to dance, right? Again, back to my original argument - we don't know enough about any of the characters. Le sigh...

A few other things:

1. I don't mind a hot, alpha male. A dominating one? Sure, I'll take him, too. But there's a difference between being domineering and being a self-indulgent asshat. Josh's constant bombardment of explicit suggestions had me cringing.

"Want to ride my cock like this bitch just did?"

or...

"I could lick your sweet cunt better than any rug-muncher."

Charming.

2. Corinne was a moron. She started off as an independent smartass, which I enjoyed. She had her own thing going on, some (admittedly far-fetched) notions of true love, and she could give as good as she got when it came to Josh's antics. But somewhere along the line (and how long did this little tour last - like two weeks, at the most?), she morphed into this crude, hypocritical mess (see points 3 and 4, as well). I mentioned her true love dreams - yeah, so they're a little naive. But whatever. Almost every heroine in every book I read has her "Prince Charming" dreams, so that's nothing new. But after a few idiotic moves by Josh, she denounces her beliefs and wants to just make out and have sex with anyone she can get her hands on. Whoa. What a turn-around. She jumps to conclusions more often than just hearing Josh out, too, which totally makes me want to smack her fictional, stupid face. You people are supposed be adults! For crying out loud. I mean, Josh isn't any better... seriously man, keep your dick confined to your pants. But as a female myself, I know the value of a few deep breaths, and just listening to what your partner (or potential partner) has to say.

3. This:

"Then why are you crying, sweetheart?" he asked, his smile, callous.
"I'm not. My eyes are urinating, so fuck you!"

What imagery. What poetry. Nothing like expressing yourself by bringing attention to pee. Seriously, Corinne's sassy attitude became a little more assy as the book progressed.

4. Don't read this if you haven't read the book. Okay? Okay.

But really, I didn't like Revue, and I don't recommend that you read it either. Sorry, author.

“Why do you fuck so many women?”
“Because I like to.”
I stared at him. “That’s it?”
“Yep. I like to fuck. I like to fuck women. They like to fuck me. So … we fuck.”

Are you ready for the show?
Well pad your panties ladies because Wild Nights Revue is coming and it’s an experience you do not want to miss. You’ll see soon to be brides, old grannies, wild and crazy attention seekers- all just waiting for that famous ear whisper.

When Cori gets roped into a job photographing this all male revue show she wants nothing more than the three months she is stuck on tour with them to pass. She doesn’t know how much she can take of the man-whoring and arrogance of some of the guys…well one guy in particular.

Josh is probably the biggest man-whore around. He is cocky and arrogant and so full of himself that just the thought of him repulses Cori. So why-even after she finds him f*cking a chick backstage does she have to keep reminding herself of all the reasons she shouldn’t want to be just another meaningless notch to him?

“Sweet Jesus, that thing looked delicious! But let’s face it, like babies, not all cocks were gorgeous. Some were weird looking and, at first glance, all you could do was mentally will your lips to part and say the words ‘Mm…yum’ when really you were thinking ‘er…um’.

Josh is your typical bad boy- drop dead gorgeous and ultimate ladies’ man. He doesn’t do commitments or relationships. He is all about the single act of sex. And boy is he good at it. Maybe a little too good. I mean even I was getting a little stomach churning just thinking about how many women he has had to f*cked before to have a tongue and moves like he does.

But when he sets eyes on Cori- something in him breaks. He is confused by his new ‘feelings’ but wants nothing more than to explore them- with her. To see if he is really as f*cked up as he thinks he is.

There’s more to life than sex, you know.”
“Yeah, there is, sweetheart. Sex with me.” Josh leaned closer, his breath hot on my neck. “And you’re gonna experience that real soon.”
I turned toward him.
Bad idea.
Terrible mistake.
Our faces were centimetres from touching. “No I’m not.”
“Oh, yes, you are. In fact, I’m going to make it my sole mission before this tour has ended to get you on top of my cock. And I’ll let you in on a little secret, sweetheart … you’re gonna love it.”

This was a crazy sexy story with a lot of Magic Mike type dancing and holy mother effing shitballs you will be wishing you were in that crowd screaming and panting right along with all the other ladies. Josh and Cori have a sort of instant hate/love relationship. Josh wants to more than just make Cori his one night stand but convincing this level headed woman of that is another story. Cori has built up walls and doesn’t believe in meaningless sex so she refuses Josh at every turn- but only she can take so much.

This story will have you glued to your kindle. Its sexy, funny, playful and yet a bit somber. I absolutely love KM Golland and she is one of the only authors I will read when I suspect there will be cheating. It doesn’t matter because KM has a way to make you love and feel for the characters regardless. Both Josh and Cori’s actions pissed me off and made me sad at the same time.
If you are in the mood for a sexy insta-love type, fast paced story then I would definitely recommend Revue! Its extremely sexy and flirtatious. I would have liked to see a couple more sex scenes and maybe a little more depth to the characters. We got some background on them but not as much as I would have liked. That said- I still loved Josh and Cori and KM’s writing was fabulous as always. I love the humor she writes with. It has a way of making the shittiest situations lighter and bearable.

Other Favorite Lines:
I faux-smiled my recognition to her. “Okay, one two three, smile!” Duckface. City. … I shit you not. If I’d had a loaf of bread handy I would’ve broken off pieces and tossed them in their general direction. Pursed lips had never looked so … pursed.

Please note: We had two reviewers read this book, and their opinions varied. Our star rating is a compromise between the two so read on to find out what they both thought. That's books, right?

Wow, K.M. Golland, that was a Scorching Hot Book!! The cover peaked my interest and when I read the blurb, I knew I had to read it. And my goodness, what a fucking hot, sexy read!

Josh Adams works at Wild Nights Revue making women's fantasies true, making their problems disappear one dance at a time. One thing is for sure, Josh has no shame in displaying his package. He lives by his own rules of fucking whomever he wants, whenever he feels like it.

Cori takes her place as Wild Night's Revue's photographer and her first night she she meets with the most erotic scene she’s ever seen...Josh fucking a client.

Josh and Cori are water and oil, constantly bickering, and yet, no matter how hard they try, they just can’t stay away from each other...

I really enjoyed reading the banter between Josh and Cori, though at times Cori kinda got on my nerves, constantly denying her feelings for Josh. In the end, though, Josh knew how to get her and my goodness, did he lay it on her...! **still fanning myself**

I thought this book would be about a sex addict and a too-good-for-you girl, yet it was much more than that. There were real emotions pouring out, and with feelings shared, hearts broken and mended, trust lost and gained, and sizzling hot sex, BAM, we got Revue!!! ~ Kara, 5 Hot stars

~~~
What happens when a female photographer goes on tour with a male revue show? Fireworks, shenanigans, hilarity, and angst.
Josh Adams is the star of the show and, to put it frankly, kind of an asshole. In his own words, he likes to use women to “fuck and fuck off”. Sparks fly when he meets the newly hired photographer, Corinne (Cori), and these two embark on a roller coaster ride of a relationship.
I was all over the place about this book. I was disgusted by Josh and spent the vast majority of it not liking him at all. He’s cocky and unapologetic, and persistent in a way that sometimes felt downright uncomfortable.
I had a sort of love/hate thing going for Cori – she was strong and stood by her word with Josh. But she also was very quick to let him drag her down and change who she was.
These two were a hot mess together, which was mostly heartbreaking and frustrating. I struggled a little when things finally resolved – so much angst and water under the bridge made it hard to be entirely happy for them.
In the midst of all this turmoil, there were some laugh-out-loud moments. That was probably my favorite part of the book. Ms. Golland knows how to write some snark (and Lord, I love me some snark!), and some scenes were both hilarious and heartwarming. There were also some smoking hot steamy scenes. What Josh and Cori lack in relationship skills, they make up for in physical chemistry.
In the end, they found their redemption in each other. I feel like things maybe got tied up a little too neatly in the end, but I’m a sucker for a good happily ever after and was happy to see Josh and Cori get theirs. ~ Shelly, 3.5 stars
I had some issues with the writing. I found myself skimming. So when all the angst happened in the story, I was withdrawn from the couple anyway. I was not heartbroken or cared.
Major spoiler:
The BFF, Em, is the typical BFF in these type of stories that encourages sex. I did not even know why Em was part of the story. She was visiting her sister in Perth. Annoying BFF.
4.5 Stars!!
Ever read a book that just wants to make you strip off all your clothes, climb inside and hump the MAIN MAN?!!! Well that was me and the man I’m talking about is Josh Adams!!!
Having just finished Revue moments ago, I have to say, I’m so completely turned on and it’s only 9 am! What’s a girl to do?!!!
Here I was, innocently browsing Amazon and I come across Revue. Of course the hot cover drew me in, then that blurb… WOWZA!!! I instantly one clicked. Now, mind you I had already started another book and said, “Oh, I’ll just read a little and see if I like it.” Well, that didn’t work out so well for me. The other book was forgotten (#SorryNotSorry) and I devoured it.
Revue, in a nutshell, is HOT. We meet Corinne “Cori” Lee, a photographer standing in for her injured brother, as she travels along with Wild Nights Male Revue an all male revue show. (#IWantHerJob) She is smart, funny, and believes in true love and happily ever after’s.
“Love does exist. It waits in the places we least expect it. We’re supposed to make an effore…supposed to care. Why? Because love is the greatest reward we’ll ever receive.”
In walks Josh Adams, hot, sex on a stick, man-whore (my favorite) extraordinaire . (I will take 5 JOSHGASMS to go please). He is a wham-bamm-thank-you-ma’am kinda guy. In and out, literally. He loves sex and has it frequently. He’s not all hearts and flowers. He has never had a relationship and doesn’t plan on it.
“Why do you fuck so many women?”
“Because I like to.”
“That’s it?”
“Yep. I like to fuck. I like to fuck women. They like to fuck me. So… we fuck.”
Until he meets Cori—sparks fly. He feels things he’s never felt before. Relationship-y feelings.
I don’t want to give any more away. The angst was off the charts. My most favorite thing in a book ever. Shit goes down that you sit there with your mouth hanging open and you want to smash your kindle on the wall while you sit and rock back and forth.
There was one thing that went down that was hard to swallow for me, but everyone will have their own opinion. I still LOVED Revue and can’t wait for more from K.M. Golland. Hopefully more from Wild Nights Male Revue men!!! YES, PLEASE!!!
That's really not a willing star
It's just had to be given in order for me to say.......BAD EVERYTHING.......except the blurb. Read that and be satisfied and save yourself from having to meet this cast of the worst characters I've seen penned in a very long time. This book, other than that blurb that tricked me into this ridiculous and regretted purchase is the only thing this book has going for it. There's no romance. There is no character development. There is no enticing storyline that makes you root for an HEA for this couple. I was just rooting for the END of this horrible journey.
I'm so sad that all those five, four, three, two star reviews will make this writer that she should continue this line of character behavior in her books and think we will read with that content feeling we as readers look for in a ROMANCE. There is no content feeling. Sorry. This made me feel disgusted enough after reading that I needed to wash these characters out of my head.
This my fellow readers is a PUBLIC SERVICE WARNING. There is no HEA. The ending should read...NOW VISIT THE FREE CLINIC AND BE TESTED FOR EVERY DISEASE KNOWN TO THE HUMAN WORLD.
When I'm reading a ROMANCE I want the HEA not the ICK feeling.
A great story that I actually hated to see end. Josh and Cori. He's a cocky male dancer/stripper in an all male revue that travels around Australia. She's assigned to the tour as a photographer after her brother, the regular photographer, is injured and laid up for awhile. The book starts with Cori walking in on Josh doing what Josh always does, banging one of the customers and then not so politely sending her on her way. Sweet Cori is utterly appalled and turned on all at the same time. What has she gotten herself into!!!
I loved both the main characters. My only possible complaint about the book was that I wanted to know a little more about Josh's background. There is cheating going on for those that might be offended, even briefly by Cori. But it certainly didn't ruin my reading of this very entertaining book.
I'd just finished a particularly dark and twisted book so decided to look out for some sexy light reading. This book has been sitting patiently waiting for this very moment.
It was perfect, exactly what I needed. No messing about with lengthy back stories just right into it. I've laughed, swooned, fanned my face, crossed my legs and laughed again. It's a wonderful mix of a unique storyline, lovable characters, extremely funny one liners and steamy (like boiling) hot sex!
As with this authors other books her brilliant sense of humour is relayed through the characters. I don't think I've ever laughed quite so much while reading a book.
Would definitely love to read more about the other characters and catch up with Corinne and Josh again.
4.5 stars
In this Magic Mike meets Thunder Down Under story you have a sassy loyal photographing heroine a bad boy somewhat inappropriate asshat of a a hero. What you get is loads of innuendo, bunch of sexy times and funny laugh out loud moments. Josh was someone you love to hate but he has his moments. Cori was awesome, she did try to be vulnerable but also remain uncertain. I wish there was a longer epilogue and the end was a bit more rounded but enjoyed this one.
Such an amazing read! I love Corrine and Josh. Their chemistry is so good. How they are together, even without intimacy is just memerizing.
Ladies get ready for a hot read as Revue will definitely live up to the name and more. I knew I was expecting for a dirty fun read. However that doesn’t even began to describe this book. If you thought like me, Bryce or Derek was your man. Well, get ready for to fall in love with a new guy. Josh Adams may take cake and blow everyone else out of the water. Josh just your alpha male, bastard whatever you can characteristic your fictional male. He is all that and more…..
Josh Adams is a special breed of man. He is the star performer for Wild Night Revue. He puts the wild into revue, bring a distinct flavour to the group and all the groupies adore him. He is a love and leave them type, but it only add more to his charming personality. No one tells Josh Adam that he what he is. He is what he is and he is proud of the fact. Until Corinne walks into one of his hook-ups and pegs for exactly what he is and is immediately disdained that she has been saddled photographing a man like him. A cocky man who doesn’t care he has been caught out and only offers her the chance to become his next, in the crassest way possible.
Not the most brightest moment for Josh, though it soon comes aware this only the beginning of the man called Josh who doesn’t function any other way. And poor Corrine is stuck with this man for the next 12 weeks. A photographer, Corrine is used to capturing the beauty of life and this the last job she wants after the reception she got from Josh, though she needs to as she replacing her brother. Her brother who went and fortunately broken his hip and there is no one else
SO this girl got to suck it up and live with Josh and the others. Who don’t exactly compare to Josh and who have no clue what exactly he has done except they don’t exactly get along. Slowly as they travel through Australia east coast and live in close quarters. Things start to change but what happens when you push too far and Corrine is left not only dealing with Josh but Brad. The total opposite of Josh. He may not be the perfect gentleman but he knows when to behave…
Revue is a romantic comedy that couldn’t of been written by any else. The love/hate relationship, the crass , the swearing. This book has it all and I loved it. Therefore get ready for a good laugh or two as the author totally gives us backstage pass to this revue group and shows how the star lives and plays. This is well rounded book as despite being a romantic comedy she gives her trademark angst and heart breaking moments that destroyed you. As despite first appearances , everyone deserves second chances and the author delivers a tale that is only fitting for a man like Josh and feisty woman who won ‘t let him get his way. If you love her Satisfaction series , you are going to totally love this one.
I was expecting a read that is testament to the style that I have come to love her for. Though she delivers that in this book, this book takes things up to the next level. It a pity I had to keep stopping this book, this one of those books you need to read in one hit. To embrace the feisty Corrine and Josh who have more than their fair shares of ups and downs.
Firstly, WHY IS THERE NO WARNING OF CHEATING ASSHOLES IN THE BLURB! I cannot stand books pertaining to be romance when cheating is involved. Seriously warn potential readers that dislike cheating intensely.
**Contains spoilers** (I rarely write spoiler reviews but can't avoid in this instance)
Sadly my foray into the world of all things KM Gollard has crashed and burned. I didn't enjoy Revue, at all. Why? Because of Corinne - why the ever loving God are we reading about a woman who insta loves a cheating, immature arse of a kid - and I say kid because Josh has the mental age of about twelve on how he deals with things.
Why the hell did Corinne forgive him when he went straight off the next day and cheated on her! Regardless of how she reacted to the boys finding out, she had every right to be peed off and think it was Josh - because.... let's face it, Josh is a total manwhore and a bragger!!!! To then blame herself that it was her fault he went off and bedded another (kank - add an s at the start) is just plain ridiculous. No way he could have felt any of the feelings he pertained to feel about her while he was sticking his wick into anything that breathed!!! Total loser and total jerk, there were no redeeming qualities about him at all.
Then we're suppose to feel sorry for him when she acts like a sl..u..t herself and he can't handle it. Oh man, seriously, grow up the pair of you.
Sometimes the prose had Corinne acting properly regarding a man that was constantly cheating on her, then she completely let me down, and herself, by being such a weak and stupid creature to taking him back. Then she's crying after she has sex with someone else, bah, but oogles, sighs and her ovaries go all gaga over this other man's junk and body...
THIS IS NOT HOW LOVE IS CREATED people!
I do like KM's writing style to some degree, though there was too much forced comedy and trying to do one liners that fell flat for my taste. I didn't like Corinne's friendship with Em, they both came across as heady teenagers who hadn't got a grip on being grown up. And that's reiterated by the way Cori handles Josh.
I persevered all the way to the end and wished I really hadn't, sadly I'll remember this book for all the wrong reasons.
This was me not liking the content of the Revue, there was nothing wrong at all with KM's writing, it's me not handling the content well at all and the lack of being forewarned so I could avoid like the plague, whereas I was plagued by the content.
Here's the crux, because of the cheating, this is a book you just know the H/h will not stay together forever, she'll piss him off and he'll run off a fuck another bimbo and she'll take him back and it'll be rinse and repeat until one of them grows up. And let's face it, romance readers want the image or idea of the HEA, and my crystal ball says it's not gonna happen with Josh and Cori, they've never respected each other enough.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Holy hell in a hand basket!!! This book blew my frickin mind!!!
How hot is that cover?! Seriously!!!
Believe me when I say, what lies inside is even hotter!!!
I seriously don't even know where to start, all I can think about is picking up my Ipad and rereading this bad boy again and again! I was hooked right from the first page and couldn't put it down till the very end. ^_^
We meet Corinne, a freelance photographer who's been asked to cover for her brother and go on tour with the Wild Nights Revue (wolf whistles). She's really not happy about it even though this is every women's fantasy come true. Just too much testosterone for one woman to handle!
Her first night doesn't start off so well when she discovers one of the boys (Josh) backstage getting dirty with some random. But who could walk away from a live show? Right? haha!
After this, Josh seems to seek Cori out and is determined to make her one of his conquests, Cori is seriously not interested in being another notch on his bed post.
The chemistry between Cori and Josh is smoldering hot, you'll get the whole sweaty palms, heart racing, panty wetting experience. ;-)
I loved how Cori stuck it to the guys, she's not a pushover and she definitely will let them have it. But she's also (like every other woman) wants to scream and go guy crazy when they're in their game preforming. Or they just have their shirts off, but she's too ladylike to admit it.....out loud. ^_^
With a wild and fun storyline, dirty mouthed and crazy lovable characters, this story is definitely one in a million.
Want to experience a little Thunder from down under? or in this case Wild Nights Revue?
Than go grab yourself a copy, get real comfy and dive right in and join the fun!
Ladies, you are in for one hella of a treat ! Welcome to Wild Nights Revue a troupe of sexy ass strippers who will have your temperatures raising and your panties dropping !!!
This is KM Golland's first novel away from her highly successful Temptation Series, I was eager to see what else she could come up with. I was not disappoint.
Revue is the story of Corinne a sassy non sense photograph who is un expectantly becomes the official photograph for a group of strippers ! Every girls dreams - right ? Not for Corinne, she can't think of any thing worse especially when a misunderstanding results in her beloved camera being smashed by resident bad boy Josh Adams. Which then results in Josh pursuing Cori, in his own unique style which includes lots of dirty talk about what Josh would like to do to Cori's vagina !!! Even though Cori is very turned on by Josh's dirty mouth there's no way she going to fall for a male slut like Josh or is she ?
I've spent a very pleasurable couple of days in the presence of some very sexy dancers, KM's detailed descriptions make in very easy to visualise the dancers moves. That must have taken some pretty long research !!!! KM writes about a strong female who takes no crap from the males around her and a man whore who is more complexed than he seems. There are some very funny scene in the book that had me laughing out loud, my favourite being the dolphin impressions watch out for them !
I really can't wait for more from this amazing series, well done KM !
3.5 Stars Revue was a fun and very sexy read set in Australia.
Cori is a photographer, her brother and business partner Tom was supposed to go on tour with Wild Nights Revue a male Strip/ dance group but unfortunately for him he was involved in a bike accident landing him in hospital. So poor Cori ( note my sarcasm) has to take his place on the tour, the end result will be a feature in Woman magazine.
Five gorgeous dancers Josh, Matt, Lucas, Noah and the very charming Brad.
What I enjoyed about this story was the hate/ love relationship between Cori and Josh. Josh is the biggest Manwhore you will ever meet in a book and boy does he have a dirty mouth and he uses it often at the expense of Cori. To Cori Josh was a problem to be solved and I must say it was fun reading just how she went about it.
