Impending Radiance

Rate this book
They come from a world different than ours. Another dimension, you could say. It is a world where fairies glide across the sky, goblins swim underwater, and shapeshifters walk the land. But now they’re here.Their world has lived in a state of peace for thousands of years. This state of peace has been interrupted. They need help to restore it.I had no choice. I was already wrapped up in it before I even knew what was happening. This world originally seemed foreign, but I am slowly realizing that it is closer to home than I thought.

The author really draws you into another world with her descriptive narrative of the characters and their surroundings. Feeling fully submerged within these worlds, I was on the edge of my seat during the climax of the book and it left me wanting more at the end. I hope there will be a sequel.

Amazing! This book is suspenseful, magical, and funny all at once. I couldn't put it down and finished it within a few days. Through all the twists and turns, surprises and suspense, I could picture myself being with these characters. Not even that. While reading, I could picture myself being some of these characters, going on adventures and risking my life for the greater good.

Lucy is such a profoundly interesting character. She is brave and bold, but sensible also. The connections the characters develop, like Elliot and Lucy, or Little Tommy and Abbi, are special.

Emma is one of my closest friends, and I am truly amazed at the talent that she possesses. She has created her own world, her own people, her own places, and her own creatures. I loved reading this book, and I can't wait for the next one!
