Three best selling bully romance books.
Three heroes hell bent on revenge.
Three stories about love, revenge, and being more than a bully.

BOOK ONE- THE BET

My former best friend. My first kiss. My first love.
She shattered my heart into a million pieces three years ago. She left me right when I needed her most.
And as fate will have it, she had entered my life once again, at almost the perfect time.
She was a transfer, fresh meat, and she had just put a target on her back. It was my turn to make her pay. It was my turn to break her heart.

BOOK TWO-THE DARE

He used to be my best friend, my protector, but all of that changed one fateful night.
I made a choice, and I thought I did the right thing, but I was wrong, so wrong.
And as of yesterday that same boy, who is now very much a man became my new stepbrother, but that's the least of my worries.

BOOK THREE-THE SECRET

While I'm the girl no one notices. Bullied. Antisocial. I have no friends and I like it that way.
Until he walks into my life.
We shouldn't be friends.
We definitely shouldn't be roommates.
That doesn't stop him though.

*** TRIGGER WARNING. All three books contain dark elements that may not be suitable for all readers. No cheating and HEA guaranteed. Each book can be read as a standalone but it's best if you read them in order. ***

An Outstanding collection of book that will take you through every emotion!
The Bet: A Dark Bully Romance (North Woods University Book 1)
WOW I found my self holding my breathe throughout this book. Its so raw and so disgusting at times that I just wanted to shout stop!
Remington and Jules were the best of friends, growing up together. Spending more time with his family, Jules was the missing daughter. Even calling Jemmy's father papa. And his brothers called her sis. But Remmy had started to grow other feelings for her.
But Jules parents were getting a divorce and She was being made to move to live with her father. Remmy could not believe Jules wasn't fight harder to stay. To stay with him, Didnt she love him?? So they ended up having an argument that ended with Remmy shouting at her to leave.
Now years later Remington was a hard take no rubbish kind of guy. He used woman, Lots and lots of women when he wanted them but never had a real relationship. SO when he sees Jules come into a class late and explaining to the professor she was new and got lost, he is thrown for 6.! And to make matters worse she actually smiled at him when she saw him. How dare she walk back into his life, didnt she realise she broke his heart? ripped it out and smashed it to pieces??
Jules is back and just wants to get through college and is shocked to find Remmy in her class but she doesn't understand why he has a face full of haltered for her. Jules had been through enough and tries to talk to Remmy. But he quickly tells her she is nothing to him and he hates her for leaving him, and to stay the hell away from him. There is no Remmy his name is Remington! Jules is crushed and quickly leaves. And meets a guy called Cole. who invited her to a party she says no but they exchange numbers .
Remington goes back to the frat house which he shares with some pond scum bottom feeders who are asking for the names of the ladies going into the hat for the bet. The bet is to bed the woman you pick for 6 weeks then you have to dump her. So its basically to use her for 6 weeks, then they start all over again. Remington is disguised to find he has picked out Jules name and quickly passes her on to Cole, but hearing what Cole wants to do to her Virgin self Remington quickly changes his mind and thinks of ways to make Jules pay for leaving him.....
OMG this is brilliant read!!! Hard to read in places as I was shouting at the book wanting to stand up and fight for Jules. She is such a lovely character who has a wonderful heart. How much can she take???Can she find her Remmy inside the cold hearted bully that is now Remington???
The twists and turns in this book will keep you on the edge of your seat and you wont be able to put it down! A fantastic read!!

The Dare: A Stepbrother Bully Romance (North Woods University Book 2)
WOW WHAT A FANTASTIC READ!!!!!!
Ava and Vance used to be the best of friends 5 years ago until one night whilst playing a game of truth or dare everything went horrible wrong. It ended up with both families Ava, her mum and dad and Vance, his mum and dad leaving their separate ways. SO much had happened in those 5 years. So much pain. Her parents split up, her mum just walked away from them. Her dad didnt cope and turned to alcohol. But when Ava gets a call from her mother telling her she is getting married again and would like Ava to be there she isn't sure what to do. Then she learns that her mum is marrying Vance's father and they want her to come and live with them so she can attend college. And they will pay to get her dad into rehab.
Vance is not happy. He cant believe his father is marrying Ava's mother. After what Ava had told his father 5 years ago!! How can he let that liar back in to our home. Vance doesn't want to see Ava. All he feels is hatred for her and he plans to make her pay for lies that destroyed his family.
WOW this book really pulled on my heart strings. I really loved the characters even when they were going through so much pain they lashed out and hurt each other. Even when I wanted to bang their heads together. Its amazing how one lie can ruin your future so badly it totally clouds your judgement completely.
I am super excited by this series its a brilliant read.

The Secret: A Friends to Lovers Romance (North Woods University Book 3)
OMG THIS IS SO POWERFUL SO RAW. GRAB A CUPPA YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET TOTALLY LOST IN THEIR STORY!!!
WOW I went through every emotion reading this book. Even got told off by my husband for shouting at this book!!!! ( you'll understand when you read it.)
This is so powerful, at times so raw but it is also so beautiful, when you finally met that someone you can trust even if you dont understand it.
Clark Jefferson is a player. Sleeping with a different girl most nights but the girls understand he doesn't see any future with any of them. On night at one of his dad events he sees a beautiful girl that he wants but something changes in him when he sees that she is scared and having a panic attack. But then she is gone and now he just cant seem to get her out of his head and he couldnt muster the want for another woman. TO say he doesn't have a good relationship with his dad is a understatement so when he rings to say he was sending a woman to their house that he needs to look out for, Clark is not impressed. And he isn't allowed to sleep with her as she is the daughter of his fathers friend. rghh The day was getting worse but he is shocked to find the beautiful woman from the party standing at his door. Clarks day has just got better.
Emerson is broken, she is scared of everything and everyone. She is at this event because her father made her and she hates it. When a man tries to get her to leave with him she starts to panic when she hears another male voice asking if she is alright?? He quickly grabs her arm and takes her outside for some fresh air not knowing that grabbing her starts off a panic attack. Clark is shocked and not sure what to do so he talks to her telling her he wont hurt her, she just needs to breath. He wont let anyone hurt her. But Emerson knows someone has hurt her already. Once she has calmed down she knows she must go back in before her father notices she is missing. But leaving this man is like leaving home, he makes her feel safe and it had been a long time since she felt safe.
SO when Emerson is standing at someone's door where she must stay she is so happy to see the man that rescued her from the event. Maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
That's where I'm going to stop because you really need to get a first hand experience from reading this book. The twists and turns just keep coming . And there are some very uncomfortable chapters for Emerson but she has Clark by her side. The love between these two is heart melting but Emerson is hiding one more secret that could ruin everything. Clark might not be able to get pass it. Emerson is more scared of that than anything else.
I totally got lost in this book, its so powerful and raw. I found myself wishing them all the best and I even fell in love with Clark, the man is wonderful. Its amazing what can change a man. This is a fantastic read that you wont be able to put it down so grab a cuppa and get comfortable because you are about to get totally lost in Clark and Emerson's story!!

The Bet by Jl Beck and Cassandra Hallman

Where to start..... Remington "Remmy" Miller is out of control, lost, angry, selfish bully who uses girls like tissues and throws them away after one use. He wasn't always that way he grew up next door to a girl named Jules since elementary school. Then when she was 15 years old she moved away he felt lost abandoned when he needed her the most. Jules was his heart his bestfriend. Angry he lashed out before she left "I do not care about you. Leave. Now. You've ruined us. Our friendship." "I can't change something I have no control over, Remmy." "Neither Can I. Now get out of my face. I never want to see you again."

Jules Peterson is back in town after a devastating loss and is trying to get her life back on track. She has transferred to Northwoods University not realizing that Remmy was already attending the school. Excited to see him after 3 years until his hatred and anger shocked her after she hugged him. She thought she would be with him forever, he would be her first, her last, her everything. She quickly realizes he has changed, he is cruel, ruthless, bitter and not the boy she grew up loving. Now he has set out to make her life a living HELL.

This story has a lot of situations that had me wanting to punch Remmy and shake Jules as well as a few others! He needed to face consequences for what he did to her. With that being said he did come around and realized his mistakes and worked on making admends. She was to easy to forgive him for all the nasty twisted things he put her through. I did love his family and their support and love for her. I would have like to know more about her family and what happened to her brother and father. Also why did his family not tell Remmy that they died and she was going to be attending the same university? They new he was troubled why not help him get counseling also why let him continue to blame her when she was only 15 with no choice but move.

The Dare: A Bully Romance ( A Noth Woods University Book 2) by Cassandra Hallman and JL Beck

Wow holy hell I thought The Bet was full of bullies and messed up people but The Dare has it beat hands down. Talk about liars, manipulators, heartless mean spirited down right brutal idiots well they are everywhere!
Vance and Ava were young kids playing an innocent game of truth or dare when a dare changed their lives forever. Life has been anything but easy for Ava since that fated game of dare that spiraled her life into one heartbreaking moment after another. Five years later her only option is to go back to town she used to call home to live with her mother whom she hasn't seen in three long years. To a home where the boy now man who used to be her bestfriend will now be her stepbrother. Only to find he wants to destroy her, break her,and ruin her by any means necessary.
Vance has held an intense grudge and hate for five years due to what his father told him concerning the night of the dare. Will he listen to the truth before it's too late or will the the damage be done? For most of the book I wanted to slap him by the end I was wake up and open your eyes before it's too late. It was like hate him or love him at the same time.
Their journey was emotional, intense, full of hate, drama, lies, manipulation, regret, undeniable passion, heartbreak, forgiveness and even love.
You don't want to miss this latest book in the series.

The Secret
North Woods University Book 3
By J.L. Beck & Cassandra Hallman

Exceptional story of a girl who feels like she is broken, tarnished, unworthy of love, and unable to tolerate human touch. One anxiety attack away from a total meltdown. And a guy that is a self proclaimed cocky rich playboy who girls are falling at his feet to be with him. He has no plans to settle down and enjoys his life with the exception of his bitter dislike for his father.

Emerson feels like she is broken, emotional wreck that is afraid of everything especially being touched due to past events in her life. Anxiety that has her having debilitating attacks that leave her vulnerable with no one to turn to. Forced to attend yet another charity event by her father who doesn't care about her or her feelings she encounters a handsome drunk guy. He asks her out when she says no he touches her arm which sets off a panic attack. Realizing what's happening he tries to calm her by holding her and telling her "It's okay, your okay. Just breathe,no one is going to hurt you." When she finally calms down she is shocked when she feels at ease like she can trust him.

Clark has a reputation as a player who is cocky and everyone knows he doesn't plan on dating one girl. Then he is at another charity event that his father has forced him to attend when he spots a beautiful redhead standing in the corner by herself. Upon the course of meeting her he sets off a panic attack in her which he feels terrible about. After she leaves without finding out her name he can't seem to get her out of his thoughts. Then with a twist of fate and a favor that Clark father does for Emerson father she ends up at his front door.

She brings out his protective side and calms his playboy side now all he can think of is the shy, jittery, fear filled, anxiety ridden redhead who thinks she's broken.

One of the many quotes I loved from the book....

"I'm broken, Clark." "You can't fix me, there is no cure. I'll be like this forever."
"You're not broken Em, you might be hurt, torn, bleeding, shattered into a million pieces but you're not broken, because you can heal... you will heal and then you will be whole again. They might have plucked your petals, but you'll bloom again, and when you do, you'll be the biggest, brightest most prettiest flower ever."

I absolutely loved Emerson and Clark's journey and also how his father came through for him when he needed him the most.

Wow.Just wow. I am lucky my kindle isn't broken after reading this one. There was so many times I wanted to throw it. This book was literally amazing from beginning to end. I absolutely love these two writers together and these book shows off their talents perfectly. Remmy is there are so many bad words I could use for him. At the beginning I hate him so very much. The way he treats her I want to kick him. But then as you read the story you notice the changes he does go through thank god. She is dealing with so much to and just wanted her best friend back but slowly realizes that he isn't the same person anymore. Everything these two go through is heart wrenching. But I love how well written it is and how strong they are facing everything. I love the chemistry between the characters and the amazing storyline. Another book blown out of the park from these two. Can't wait to read more from this series. A great kickoff to what appears to be a great series.

Ava just wants to be back with her mom and go to school. But life for her hasnt been easy. Moving back with her mom it is going to get even worse. Why ? Vance. The one person who use to be her best friend but now wants to make her life miserable. He will do whatever it takes to make sure she is not happy. But little does he realize it wasnt her fault. This book was amazing from beginning to end. Yes he does bully Ava but dont think for one minute she doesnt stay strong and try to fight back. I loved Ava and Vance together. Fighting or not these two have great chemistry. Another great book in this series.

This one there are so many words for this one. I was patiently waiting on this one because I just knew that it was going to be freaking amazing. I was so right. This one was off the charts excellent. These two together are amazing writers and this book proves that from beginning to end. The two characters in this one were a match made in haven. Just perfect for each other. There was so much emotion in this book. It was hard at times to get through because you could easily feel what Emerson was feeling. Something happened to Emerson when she was younger. She has lived with that and dealt with the after math. But she hasn't dealt with it very well. She is scared and has isolated herself. Clark is not someone that should even get close to Emerson because of his lifestyle but there is something about her. He wants to protect her and bring her out of her shell. I absolutely loved these two working together. I loved the storyline and the chemistry. This was just an amazing book that I highly recommend one clicking.

These stories are just OK. I would rate the second one higher than the first on content and the third one I didn't finish because it felt thrown together, even though the pace was better. The first and second stories carried more of the bully theme, with the first containing bullying in the school rather than personal, one-against-one of the second book. Reached half way through the third story, which frankly was rather sweet before stopping.

This is a great way to get the first three books in this series with one single click. As the title suggests each of the books included is a bully romance. If you are a fan of this romance trope these books are must reads. If you have never read one, I think this is a great way to dip your toe in the water and see if it would be something you enjoy because although all the books are bully romances, each one does offer its own unique flavor. I am electing to post a forthright review.

The Bet: (4 Stars)
This was a good read that I had conflicting emotions over. This is a bully romance, which is a popular trend right now and I like many other readers am always searching for another to explore. So I was very excited by this book. However, I personally had a hard time connecting with these characters and I had some big (can not let it go) issues with multiple things that happened in this book. I will say everyone has their own thoughts and opinions and this review only reflects mine. In my opinion a bully or dark romance has to walk a very fine line. Yes, the lead male character will not be a good guy, he will do bad things and push the boundaries between what can be accepted and what is quite simply unforgivable. In my opinion he crossed that unforgivable line multiple times. Remmy was not a good guy and I honestly could not work up any sympathy towards him and his vendetta against Jules. To me it was illogical and out of proportion. I did feel really bad for Jules but I do not know how she could move past the things that he did do to her. Then there was this whole other secondary storyline that Jules had to deal with (because, yeah, she doesn't have enough problems), that I honestly felt was added simply to make Remmy seem to be the "better man", "the hero" and "Hey, you see?!! What he did was nothing compared to this". There are some promising secondary characters that I would love to read about in future book in this series. There is lots of drama, angst, tension, pain and emotional turmoil that will help to keep you engaged if you don't find Remmy too objectionable.

The Dare: (5 Stars)
This is a very intense, sometimes uncomfortable and emotional read. The tension is excruciating as the gripping bully romance unfolds. My heart bled for Ava. Her pain and bewilderment was easy to feel and I found it impossible not to want to protect her, be her friend and give her a hug. As for Vance, I spent most of the book wishing that I could help karma give him what he so rightfully had earned from his words and deeds. Drama, lies, twists, betrayals, angst, pain, anger, frustration and a metric ton of complex and complicated emotions make up a story line that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and trying hard to resist biting your nails with anxiety.

The Secret: (5 Stars)
I found myself totally enthralled and enveloped in this read. I'll be honest here and say that this book had such an impact on me, that it is hard to put into words my feelings about it. Emerson and Clark's story somehow manage to gut me emotionally while ultimately filling my heart with joy. It is painful, beautiful, poignant, heartbreaking and heart melting. Emerson made my heart hurt. What her secret is and what she deals with every single day is horrifying and for most of us, thankfully, unimaginable. She needed a hero. NO, this girl deserved a Superhero and boy, oh boy did she get one. If you are familiar with the previous books in this series (Don't stress if you aren't because this can be enjoyed as a standalone), Clark will be familiar to you. I really do not think anyone suspected what greatness lurked beneath that playboy exterior. I know I didn't. Trust me, meeting the right woman not only changed him (as is the usual case in a romance) but morphed this man into The Deity of book boyfriends!!! He stole my heart as he stole into Emerson's. He was so tender, patient, kind, supporting and loving with her and of her, that the term swoon worthy can't even do him justice. This is very special romance, that features a one of a kind couple that are sure to leave their mark on your heart.

The Bet: OMG!! This is one book you don’t want to miss. J.L. and Cassy have written a great read. It took me on one emotional rollercoaster ride. It is a bully romance, enemies to lovers and second chances wrapped in one story. Remington has never forgiven Jules for moving away. Now that she is back, he wants to make her pay. Remmy “I wanted her to be my first, my last, my always.”
Jules is back in North Woods after losing two people she loved. When she sees Remmy again, she is shocked by the hate she sees in his eyes. Jules “I thought I would be with him forever. I thought he would be my first, my last, my everything.”
The Bet is the perfect chance for Remmy to get his revenge and break Jules heart just like she did years ago. Jules wishes that the boy she has loved for so long was still here, but all she sees is a hate filled man in front of her. As Remmy spends more time around Jules, the walls fall down. What will happen when truths are revealed? This has revenge, lies, secrets, drama, angst, and twists. The chemistry between them is undeniable and the connection between them becomes stronger. Remmy has a lot of work to do to prove he is not the arrogant womanizer he has been. The characters in this were fantastic. It was a great storyline and I could not put it down. It kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what would happen next.
Warning: This is a dark read and some scenes may be triggers.
The Dare: OMFG!! If you loved The Bet, you will love The Dare. Vance and Ava were best friends when they were younger and one night changes everything. I had a love/hate relationship with Vance. There were so many times I wanted to throttle him and more. Ava has no idea why Vance hates her so much. My emotions were all over the place. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what Vance would do to Ava next. He was even worse than Remy was in The Bet and that is saying a lot. This book gave me all the feels. This story gripped me from the very beginning to the very end. The ending will give you a WTH is going on thought. This was not how I thought it would be. The storyline just flowed seamlessly along and keeps your attention. The characters were fantastic and it was great to see characters from The Bet.
The Secret: I knew this would be different than the previous two, and I was not disappointed. If you read the previous book, you met Clark. Clark certainly surprised me. He is a known manw**re, player, womanizer and he has a chip on his shoulder. He is hot and he knows it. Emerson is shy, quiet and has deep anxiety. This book gave me all the feels one can have. I laughed, cried, yelled at certain characters. These two both have jacka**es for fathers and that is just one thing they have in common. While they have things in common, they are also opposites. Em has her secrets and wants to keep them. She is scared to lose Clark because of them. Clark has made a promise to never leave her and to never let anyone hurt her. Will he keep his promise once he knows all her secrets? These two have a deep connection that is more emotional than physical. I absolutely loved this storyline and the characters. It was great to see characters in previous books. Grab this box set and get the first three stories the North Woods Series.

Interesting collection of bully that sometimes goes too far

More Than A Bully is a collection of the first three books in the North Woods University series. There is The Bet, The Dare and the Secret. Each book is a bully romance but with different characters and a different story-line. As with most collections this one was a mix for me.

Based on the book description I thought The Bet would be something other than what it turned out to be. I mean the H, Remington, hated his former best friend, Jules, the h, so much that her life needed to be ruined. All the girl did was have to move away with her family when she was fifteen years old. Remington needed to get a grip, some major counseling for his obvious anger issues, and also a good kick up the azz. I did not like this book at all and thought the underlying premise was just plain stupid and immature.

The Dare is a stepbrother enemies-to-lovers romance, or at least it is supposed to be. Again the anger the H, Vance, is really abusive towards the h, Ava. He tried to attack her, publicly humiliated her, was threatening and derogatory to her and so much more. She just took it and kept going back for more. Vance needed some counseling for his behavior and to help him deal with and get past what happened between he and Ava during a game of Truth or Dare five years ago. There were repercussions from the dare that Ava chose which lead to things that neither could have foreseen. Now it is five years later and his father and her mother are getting married which puts the former best friends in the same house together. All Vance sees is red concerning Ava. For me this was not really a great story because I did not find a kernel of goodness in Vance. For me a enemies to lovers romance needs the bad person to have at least a bit of a redeeming quality. Vance was just too dark for my tastes to have the ending that he got.

Reading The Secret drove me nuts because of the proofreading errors in it. It could also use a good editor to ensure the details match during the story. However, the story-line of Clark and Emerson was interesting and held a lot of promise. Emerson was a young woman who was struggling to make it day to day. She had isolated herself, had anxiety attacks and nightmares and was frightened of something. Clark is the university jock that everyone loves. He loves the ladies and they love him to no end. Emerson is sent to live with Clark while she is in university and they form a very tight and intense friendship. The friendship blossoms into more but not everything goes smoothly. They were good with each other and helped each other to grow and change in ways that were substantial. I found the story-line of The Secret the most compelling out of the three books in this collection. It was a bit OTT and contrived at times but it was also emotionally deep and raw at times. I would say that The Secret was the best book of the three in this collection for me.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Book One - The Bet

The Bet is anything but simple!!!

This story had my emotions all over the place. I mean one minute I'm feeling elated and happy and the next "bam", I'm angry. Remington is nothing but a player and a user of people. He doesn't care about a single person but himself, he's self-absorbed and a total jerk. He blames his lack of caring and the fact that he drowns out his feelings in women, alcohol and weed on one girl from his past, Jules, the girl who broke his heart. When she shows up at his college out of the blue, he is furious and decides that she needs to pay for hurting him. The yearly bet that him and his buddies participate in is the perfect revenge on Jules. It's time to take her and then break her. Jules is only back because of a recent tragedy in her family and although the rest of Remmy's family welcomes her back, she can't understand the pure hatred that flows from Remmy towards her. It hurts her, but she refuses to let Remmy break her, she will stand up for herself and she's determined to find the old Remmy again. This book is intense, emotional and super exciting.

Book Two - The Dare

How can one dare cause so much pain?

This is a very interesting story. It definitely grabs you, pulls you in and holds on until the very end. Ava's life changed forever the night Vance dared her to go into her parents room. What happened that night changed things for her and for Vance. Ava was forced to move away with her parents and life has been miserable and rough ever since. Five years later when her dad goes to rehab Ava is left with no other option expect to move in with her mother and new husband. Ava finds out her mother's new husband just so happens to be her childhood best friend's father. She thought seeing Vance again would be a good thing, but apparently Vance hates Ava and keeps calling her a liar. She's not sure what he's talking about so she tries to keep her head down and just get through college. Vance has other ideas, he plans on making her pay for what she did all those years ago. He plans on humiliating her and forcing her to go back to wherever she came from.

Book Three - The Secret

Clark is totally infatuated with Emerson after meeting her at a gala their fathers insisted they attend. He meets her again when she's moving into his house after his dad said it was a favor to Emerson's dad to let her stay there. There are definite sparks between these two, the only problem is that Emerson has a secret and it's a debilitating one. Will things work out with Clark and Emerson? Or will Emerson's secret be too much for Clark to bear?

This is an excellent box set and I highly recommend it!

The Bet is simply everything!! I had no idea what I was walking into when I started reading this story, but what I found was something I never expected. What I experienced was every single human emotion that ran the gamut from barely there to an uncontrollable category 5 tornado. My heart was utterly destroyed by the end and yet it miraculously came alive again with pure, overwhelming hope and love. I can’t scream from the mountains and hills loud enough to sing the immense praises of this soul restoring journey. Nothing can truly touch the incredible power and awe-inspiring magnificence of this precious masterpiece.

The Dare has completely upped the level and intensity of this fantastic new series! Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I was proven so very wrong. Beck and Hallman know how to totally wreck my heart while leaving me a sliver of hope to keep me moving and dreaming. Nothing is as good as devouring one of their stunningly, out of this world stories!! They are life-changing and heart reforming, and I wouldn’t change a single thing about them! What a fabulous rush that will keep you going until the next book comes out.

The Secret is a blazing, out of control, wildfire that will consume anyone that dares stray into its path. It will consume your very soul and set it ablaze with overflowing hope and sweet promise. There isn’t much that can crawl in my heart and stir it up like a hornet’s nest then a budding love and desire to protect those who have been hurt both others. I blame it on the pain of my old scars that make me over protective of others. Watching this beautiful journey unfold made my heart jump for joy and melt into a huge puddle when I saw the one who stepped up knowing full well that he had so much potential to be the friend, the helper, and the lover that I always saw in him. I was left in tears to see just how powerful his heart and how his gentle hands were to the one in desperate need of them.

Beck and Hallman know how to bless their readers with the greatest gifts! This is just another of one of their fiery passionate works of art. They hold nothing back, and I am so grateful for that! If I want to immerse myself in a romance, I want it to be on full tilt, otherwise I will close the book and never open it again. I invest my whole heart into these books, and I love that these wonderful authors write with their whole heart, mind, and soul invested in each word and feeling. THANK YOU!!

The Bet: A Dark Bully Romance (North Woods University Book 1)

What a powerful story, it pulls at your emotions. I don't cry often but this story brought years to my eyes multiple time. Very well written, believable characters that you can love, gate, or love to hate. I can see so many more stories that can be written about his brothers real or frat. Also here roommates have stories to tell. A great read.

The Dare: A Stepbrother Bully Romance (North Woods University Book 2)

Lies were told, friendships lost, split families, broken hearts and a plan for revenge, this only the beginning. It is action packed with a great story and great cast of characters, that you hope will have their own story told. Beck is a very talented author who writes believable characters that draw you into the story and you cannot stop reading. Pulls on your emotions and you hope that the cause gets their comeuppance.

The Secret: A Friends to Lovers Romance (North Woods University Book 3)
This is my favorite book so far in this series and by this author. I cannot wait to read the next book. This book pulls you in and makes you feels as the characters do and it made me feel like I was there with them and knew them. This book hits home and makes me wish there was a Luke for all of us as well as a Clarke.

More Than A Bully Box Set by J.L. Beck/ C Hallman: North Woods University contains The Bet, The Dare and The Secret . You will be on edge with each book you read as you become drawn into these amazing characters as each story is full of suspense and dread about what lengths a person will go through, when the only thing you know is revenge and hate. Each story is emotional, twisted and dark about friends who become enemies through lies and bullying but once truths are revealed each couple will have a long road ahead of them once love enters the picture. Can they get past all of the hurt and pain that was caused and can love and forgiveness be enough for them to survive the torment each couple has to endure? Each book in this set was filled with drama, deceit, violence, betrayals, and misunderstanding but most of all lots of steam and passion. So many twists and turns within each twisted suspenseful story all based on lies and revenge that you will find your emotions all over the place as you follow each couple's pain and redemption. This dark romance series by these two amazing authors is a must read which I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!. I voluntairly reveiwed an advanced copy of the series.

The Bet:
Jules and Remmy were together when they were young until she moved away. Three years later she's back and he's still mad at her for leaving him. Like it was her fault she moved, she was just a kid. I must admit that I'm having a hard time with this one because I wanted so bad to like Remmy but the assault really hit hard. I like that in the end he redeemed himself but for me, it didn't make what happened better.
The Dare:
Vance and Ava met when they were very little but something happened and completely changed their relationship. Years later they became step siblings when her mother married his father and life changed for them again. This book is filled with drama, angst, revenge, misunderstandings, betrayal and twists that left me wanting to know more.
The Secret:
Clark is a player and all the girls on campus want him but once he meets Emerson she's all he wants. Emerson keeps to herself and just wants to make it through college but Clark is determined to be her protector. I loved Clark and Em, together because they brought out the best in each other. This book is filled with drama, angst, emotion and a beautiful slow burn romance.

There are three awesome books here, the first is about Remington and Jules story in The Bet. They have not seen each other for three years and when she returns, he is determined to make her life hell as he felt when she left. The second book, The Dare, is about Vance and Ava and on a truth or dare game that went horribly wrong both as a kid and five years later become step brother/sister, so he decides to bully her out of their life. The last book, The Secret, is about Clark and Emerson; this book is too sweet and loving and more on the protective side than bullying except when it comes to Emerson, Clark originally does not want anything to do with her but ends up ready to kill for her.

The men in these stories start with anger and bullying but the women turn out to be the ones to tame them into the loveable men they really are.

I was introduced to the duo of J.L. Beck & C. Hallman with the Bayshore Rivals series which was epic. So when the opportunity arise to read More Than A Bully, I just couldn't resist.

This box set is so worth the read if you like dark bully romance with a lot of tension, drama, betrayals and so much emotions like hate, fear, sadness, anxiety, etc... this one is for you. All three books kept me glued to my Kindle but i do have a soft spot for The Secret though. Emerson and Clark story was so sweet and wonderful.
