Wishing on a Dream

A Snow Globe Christmas

I can’t really complain about my life; I have a job I love and a best friend that fills the void of my nonexistent family, but sometimes I’m lonelier than I like to admit. Especially with the holiday season approaching, I can’t help but wish I had someone special to share it with.

My friend gives me a snow globe with a man and a snowy owl inside, and for some bizarre reason, this man starts showing up every night when I close my eyes. It’s… not real, but I can’t seem to get the guy out of my head. It probably shouldn’t surprise me that my brain conjures up the perfect man in my dreams… well, almost perfect if he’d stop claiming to be a warlock. But the crazy thing is that all of it—that he—feels so real.

When I start falling for the man, the warlock, I can’t help but wish that what we have in my dreams could be a reality. I know it can’t, but at least when I’m asleep, I can be with him—with Alaric.

Although this book is part of A Snow Globe Christmas series, it is a complete stand alone and it isn’t a requirement that you read the previous books to follow along. We wish everyone a happy holiday season.

Michele is married to an awesome guy that puts up with her and all the burnt dinners she makes—hey, sometimes characters are a bit distracting, and who doesn’t plot when they’re supposed to be cooking? They live together in Baltimore, Maryland with two little monsters, a three-legged princess, a four-legged goofball, and a cutie with giant ears (aka their two kids, their two cats, and their dog). She hopes to rescue another cat soon, and if her hubby wouldn’t kill her, she’d get more than one… and maybe a few more dogs as well.

She loves creating worlds filled with lots of love, chosen family, and of course, magic, but she also likes making the characters fight for that happy ending. She hopes to one day write all the stories in her head—even if there are too many to count!

This one for me was really special. On any given day I am always up for a snuggly gay romance with two incredible MCs and lots of PDA. Honestly if I had to choose between lots of physical affection or erotic sex scenes I'd choose the kissing, snuggling and over all touching side of things. Due to that the lack of much serious sex in this book didn't bother me at all. I loved the way the author focuses on the story (including the evil witch bitch) and on the developing emotional relationship between Grady and Alaric. Both these characters are fully developed and beyond dreamy. The three secondary characters were also well done. The author also did a great job of building and sustaining the suspense of just which people are the good guys and the bad ones. The author's writing style is one which sucked me in every time I started to read such that time and pages flew by. This is only the second book I have read by this author, but so far she has impressed me.

I liked how this started out. I even liked the first 35%, but then suddenly a lot of things started to happen at once and it was just all too much.

Grady got a snow globe from his best friend. He keeps watching the man in the globe with the owl on his shoulder, not knowing the man is Alaric, a warlock imprisoned by a witch 200 years ago.

When Grady starts to have dreams about the man, he is sure he’s going crazy. But after a few weeks Grady is starting to believe Alaric when he says he’s real.

So one night Grady wishes with all his heart that Alaric is real, and suddenly Alaric is free from the snow globe!

But it turns out the witch is still after Alaric…

This started out quite good. I liked Grady and Alaric together and I loved how their romance started. Grady was sweet and cuddly and Alaric was cute and bashful. But when Alaric was rescued from the snow globe at 30%, I was curious what the rest of the story would entail. Well, a lot is the answer.

We had long lost brothers (Alaric’s), a Conclave that upholds magic laws, guards to help keep Alaric and Grady safe, an evil witch that wanted Alaric dead, and basically magic all around. It was too much and most didn’t make a lot of sense.

And I hate it when people act a certain way and it’s never explained why exactly. Like why this witch wanted Alaric in the first place. Or why Regan decided to help the witch. Or why Izaiah kissed Raphael when he said they were purely platonic.

Lots of people in this obviously had a story but it was never followed up on. Like Laz, Raphael and Izaiah. Did they become a couple? Did Izaiah finally admit he had feelings for Raphael? It was weird that was never fully explained.

It felt like the setup for a sequel, but I think there isn’t going to be one (not that I would read that).

And not all authors know how to write a decent showdown. Well, this one kind of sucked.

Overall this was quite the disappointment.

I am not much for holiday books but this was rather good. It was mildly suspenseful low steam romance featuring Christmas loving Grady and adorable warlock Alaric who could turn fierce when required. Told from dual POV the story has many interesting characters who add a bit of angst and snarky humor to two lovebirds story.

Both Grady and Alaric were so cute as a couple and as individuals. Both men needed love in their lives, so they saved each other so to speak. Their relationship was very sweet with cuddling and reassurances. I liked how attentive and caring Grady was, and I enjoyed Alaric's innocence in some ways and his strength and determination when danger was imminent.

There was a bit of action, magic and mayhem. I loved witches and their smart familiars who helped to keep their loved ones safe. All in all, this was heart-warming and entertaining story. I enjoyed it. Copy received for my honest and unbiased review

This one started off good. Alaric, who is a warlock, was trapped in a snow globe by a which as punishment for his father's cruel behavior. For over 200 years he and his familiar have been trapped watching life pass by until Grady sets him free.

The story went down hill for me once Alaric was set free. I liked some parts of it. I did enjoy the warlock aspect. I can't say I enjoyed the relationship aspect. It was too sticky sweet.

Overall it was an alright read.

It’s really hard for me to find a book where terms like soul-pledged or soulmate are used all the time and don’t make me cringe. This was no exception.
I enjoyed the beginning of the book, the magical curse aspect, but after a while I skimmed many many pages. By the end I didn’t care much unfortunately. It’s sad, because I have read a couple of novellas from this author that I loved, I’ll have better luck next time.

Man this book felt ETERNAL ! I don’t know what it was about it, but it just seemed liked it was super long, and not in a way that I appreciate because I don’t want the story to end.

I’ve read a couple of these Snow Globe books, and so far, this is the least Christmas-y one of them all. As in I truly didn’t get the whole holiday spirit that is supposed to be at the core of the books. You could have published this at any time of the year with a slight tweak of the title and no one would be the wiser.

It felt a little jumbled. The secondary plot lines I would assume will turn into something, if not, they were a total waste of pages. I felt like I had to read A LOT of book to finally reach the point where they face the bad guy - only to have that be totally anti climatic. Meh. It was a little boring to be honest.

Review:
This was sweet! The description made it sound like just a simple romance, so when Grady and Alaric got together, I thought the book would be ending soon, but it turned out to be only at 34%. But I like that the author took it a bit beyond that to deal with certain storylines and elements (like the evil witch who cursed Alaric), to add some other unexpected things, and to give the reader a chance to see more of the two men together as they started their relationship.

I loved the unexpected ace rep! The characters didn't use labels, so I hesitate to assign them, but that's what it was closest to. At least, I feel like Alaric was maybe gray ace. He seemed to only rarely feel sexual attraction, had only ever felt it with one person in the past before Grady, and it maybe still wasn't as important a thing for him as for allos. But it made him feel like something was wrong with him, and he worried that Grady would be frustrated. As someone who feels similarly, I really appreciated that kind of rep. I also loved that Grady was ok with it and even thought about how kissing and cuddling could be just as intimate. And how they checked in with each other, to make sure neither was making the other uncomfortable.

“The… attraction… it’s never like this for me.”

His brow furrowed. “What do you mean? You’ve never been attracted to a guy before?”

“No, it’s… I find people attractive, but it hardly ever makes me… react.” I waved my hand over my body. “Before, only one person ever…”

Before meeting me, he’d only sought it out once in a while with the one person he’d been close to. It didn’t bother me if he didn’t want sex often. Kissing and cuddling could be just as intimate.

I also really appreciated the unspoken acknowledgement that you don't need to keep abusive people in your life just because they're sorry, even if they're family.

*SPOILER (kind of mild spoiler, but it's a good quote, so I still wanted to share it)* *END SPOILER*

For a holiday romance, there wasn't a lot of holiday-ness, Christmas was mostly just a mention, but that doesn't make the story any less good.

The snowy owl was cute! And there was some magic, what with Alaric being a warlock and all. And some nice friendship and family relationships, in addition to the romance.

Overall, this was an enjoyable book with a sweet romance, kind characters, a touch of Christmas cheer, and magic.

New author and wasn’t impressed with the first book in the snow globe series, so wasn’t sure what to expect. It was magic. A warlock trapped in a snow globe. At first I thought the father was going to pop back up since Ric got out so early on. I liked the alternative and I’m looking forward to Laz’s story. Ric and Tib are adorable and I liked how protective Grady was. Mentions a few dark themes.

I know that I would have enjoyed this story so much more if I hadn't been reading it while traveling and exhausted... but, even though it felt like it would never end, that was on me and RL, not the author or the story itself... grrr... it was a well-written story that brought a bit of "magic" to my day! :D

I didn't really get the Christmas vibe from this book till the very end, but the story flowed well and had some interesting supporting characters, and let's not forget my favorite member of the family... Tiberius! *grin*

Different

While set at Christmas this was more urban fantasy with witches and warlocks. I did really enjoy the story although there are a few things I’d have liked explained more; Like what was going on with Ralph, Iz, and Laz. Perhaps there’ll be a sequel.

I really enjoyed this book.
Alaric was such a sweet character despite his pain and suffering.
Grady was understandably skeptical, but once Alaric helped him realize the truth, he was completely on board and willing to do whatever was necessary in order to help Alaric be free.
There was some danger as well as drama in the form of Alaric having to overcome his fears of betrayal and becoming imprisoned again.

It seemed like this was two books that just happened to have the same MCs. I enjoyed the first half, with the two of them discovering each other and figuring out how to release Alaric from his prison. After that, the story of Alaric finding the witch who trapped him took over the book. I liked the first half very much, but the second half just didn't really do it for me.

I loved Alaric and Grady. Poor sweet, caring Alaric, not only did he a POS of a father but then he gets punished for his fathers evil/nasty ways. It saddened me that Alaric saw the world go by locked up in the globe never being able to help anyone or interact with anyone. Grady had a POS ex & deserved a lot more than what he got. When they originally connect in the dream realm, Grady doesn't believe him when he tells him who/what he is. But with one heartbreaking wish, all of Grady's dreams come true. I loved Alaric's familiar. But their HEA was not an easy feat.

Wishing on a Dream was so beautiful. I can't imagine how horrible it must've been for Ric to be trapped for so long. I loved his and Grady's story and the way Tib loved them both.

The story itself was beautiful. I loved the magical theme and the side characters. I've also discovered that I have a fondness for the guy-from-a-different-time-ending-up-in-the-modern-world trope and the way it complicates/makes things more interesting. I need to look for more books like that.

Reread 12/2020: Yep, still love it.

Spoilers out the wazoo but honestly, you're not missing out

There is absolutely no way to talk about this book without getting into spoilers so if you're like me and don't care, then buckle up buttercup because the ride is...okay.

I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting when I began reading this. Definitely not two books because that's what this is, it's two books in one. It's two stories that do not mesh well together in my mind. Neither one is bad necessarily but I was here for the first one, not so much of the second.

The first book, or Act 1 shall we say, is great. It's the story you would expect from the blurb. You have Alaric who is a little old-fashioned but sweet. Grady who is kind of bland but also kind of endearing. And the plot that is just interesting enough that you want to see how it plays out. It was nice getting to know the characters and watching them get to know each other. It was heart-wrenching when Grady would wake up and Alaric not actually there. They're Star-Crossed in a sense but you're rooting for them and you want them to be together. Until it hits you, what happens when Alaric gets out of the snow globe? Are we going to have a Coming to America situation where he doesn't know what a toaster is? Yes but we also get act 2.

Right about at the 50% mark, the book goes from being about Alaric and Grady's love story to something I don't even know what to call it. A fantasy thriller? That might be a little too generous because it's boring as hell. The story is completely out of left field as are the new characters were introduced to. Izzy was okay but boring, Ralphie got on my nerves, and Laz as far as I was concerned could have been a written out because ooo did I not like him.

Then the other two characters you spent the first half of the book of rooting for start to get annoying as well! Grady is so short with Alaric over matters he as a human has no concept of. He'll get mad at him about magic stuff that isn't Alaric's fault or is for Grady's own safety.
But don't go thinking Alaric is innocent either though. There's I don't understand modern things because I was trapped in a snow globe for 200 years and being a flat out idiot. For someone who claims to know modern things because he was watching TV, he doesn't know a lot of stuff. Wouldn't you see people fist-bump on television, especially in the seventies and eighties which is when he would have been watching TV in his snow globe!? Also his complete lack of understanding of emotions is wild. He seems to think everything someone thinks and feels somehow relates to him. No good sir, just no. Also his paranoia. I get it but bro calm down.
Their relationship just started to fall apart for me. One of them would do something wrong to upset the other, they would apologize and hug it out and then do the same thing again! That is literally insanity! I went from rooting for them to thinking maybe y'all did this bonding thing a little too prematurely. That is never a good sign in a romance.

And while we're at it, let's talk about the romance for a second. It's there, but just bearly. They kiss, they cuddle, they fondle but there is no smut here. If you were looking for a smutty good time like I always am, keep treading on my friend. They don't even do it once. Maybe they do and I just don't really remember but if it's that forgettable does it really count? I think not.

In all fairness act 2 does eventually pick up towards the end but by that point I'm so disinterested I'm just waiting to see if any of the random questions I have get answered. Spoiler alert, they don't.
This book gave me the worst kind of book hangover. The one where I'm just annoyed. Like what was the point in bringing back Ralphie into Alric's life? What was the actual point. To create story? Because it didn't. And then mentioning Ralphie has a daughter and then not doing anything with that is just cruel to readers. Then there was the whole thing with Ralphie and Izzy and Laz and that was never ironed out, like at all. You can't bring up secondary secondary characters, create all this backstory for them, and then do nothing with it. Is there a second book I don't know about? Something tells me no.

Anyways this review is getting too long and I'm getting annoyed. 3 stars because I love the first half but the second half is trash. Also how dare you not give me any rememberable smut. For shame.

(There was also the whole magic system not making any sense but as I don't really out of fantasy and paranormal, that could just be me so I'll take the blame there.)

This was an incredible story. I felt so bad for Alaric in this story. Imprisoned for some one else’s crimes. Alone and imprisoned for centuries until one special man, made the cracks open and he could be free again.
Grady loved snow owls. And snow globes. When his best friend, Laz, found him a snow globe with a figure and a snow owl, he was enthralled. He couldn’t believe how life like they looked. And as time went on, he found out they were real. Alaric has been trapped for centuries in that snow globe for crimes his father committed. He never dreamed he’d be able to use his magic in the outside world again. He’s tried so many times. But it took someone hurting Grady and his magic broke through. And he could dream walk with Grady and they began to know each other. One sad day, Grady wished Alaric could be with him for real, and neither expected what happened next. And what continues to keep happening. They just know danger is after them and they may not make it out alive.
Sad to say, but I kind of feel like Alaric, so I can empathize. Not that I’ve been trapped in a snow globe, but having to pay for someone else’s crimes. It’s pure hell. And I could not imagine not being able to go through centuries of not being able to talk to anyone except his familiar. Or seeing the things he’s had to see and not being able to stop it or help. When Grady came along, he dared dream that maybe things could be different. Even after a few things had happened, he was still too scared to hope. Being imprisoned in that snow globe, has dwindled what little hope he’s had left. I guess what breaks my heart for him even more, is when he finds out the truth of some of the things that have happened to him and his family. The lies he was told, the hell he had to go through even before he was trapped by the evil witch. But Grady was there and his heart couldn’t help but hope that maybe finally, he could be free….and maybe have someone to love.
This book just broke my heart. Yes, it is an HEA so don’t worry. It all works out with some big twists and turns, but it’s still a tough story to read. It’s heartbreaking and so hurtful for Alaric and he just captured my soul from the beginning. Of course, I love Grady too. They’re a perfect match for each other. I loved the characters in this story. I love the writing, the plot, all of it. It’s a great addition to this series.

From start to finish there was magic everywhere. I enjoyed that it played a central role and to balance it out we got Alaric and Grady who really were ideal partners for one another.

I had no idea what to expect of Alaric, whether he would be the softer embarrassment or tender spot for the cruel father we first opened with or if he would be just as hard as his father. And after centuries locked in the snow globe of a cruel, vindictive witch, I had definitely expected him to be a jaded, hard man. What we were gifted with instead was a soft-hearted man who felt powerless and helpless stuck in an unfair prison. He was tender and sweet where he could have been callous and unfeeling. I loved that surprise.

As a partner for Alaric I think Grady was a good match. He was a little quirky, but so eager and deserving of love and care that he was what Alaric needed. A couple times I thought he was a little immature and dismissive, but those moments were so fleeting that they didn't stick as negative character traits. Grady was a good man on his own and was dealt a hard hand in love so he was ripe for the kind of affection Alaric could provide.

The drama in the story felt pretty focused and I appreciated that. With the exception of a couple other mages that distracted and pulled unnecessary focus at times yet also brought the chance of both healing and complications, the story remained on Alaric and Grady and the turmoil that ultimately brought them together. That that turmoil could tear them apart is where the difficult part of their journey came into play. I wish there had been more research on the part of the MC's and the grimoire or even just a bit more in seeing the thought processes going on so it didn't feel like the waiting was more like time dragging on with a decided lack of tension.

Despite that middle bit that didn't fit the general flow of the story, I quite enjoyed seeing the two men come together and build something uniquely theirs and so very deserved. Finding a life together that worked with the challenges of Alaric's legal and residency issues was something that could have proved unbelievable or difficult, but they navigated this quite well and seeing them blossom together throughout both the calm and the strain was wonderfully sweet. Their story was entertaining and had the feels to back it all up.

Sins of the father

This was a very magical Christmas romance with a sweet couple that end up together despite many barriers in their way.

Alaric is a warlock in an area that his father rules through use of magic. Angry at his father's abuse of power a witch came to punish them and does so by locking up Alaric in a prison of glass. Two hundred years later he ends up in Grady's house where for the first time ever Alaric finds himself able to reach out in dreams. But communicating is only the first step and even if the two can free Alaric there is still the matter of the vindictive witch that placed him there originally.

There are some odd gaps to the story, points brought up but never spoken of or explained why they came up. Mostly it was things from Alaric's past. There would be little blurbs of people he knew or past relationships without really giving it bearing tonthe present or reason for being in the story. Then there was the side story going on that was popping up and yet ignored. Three other characters come in to help Alaric and Grady with everything going on and there is something happening between them. However, they are not the focus of the story, so despite being constantly referred to it never gets explored. Hopefully another book will come from this which will allow more exploration of this universe.

The romance between Alaric and Grady is the core of the story and it propels it along nicely. Each man has history that affects how they are with each other but also helps them to grow stronger together. Whether needing to rely on each other to get through an emotional shock or a magical attack the two have great chemistry and work to build a life that works for both of them. The magic mixed with the romance was great, with some good amount of action right along with emotional resonance. A good Christmas (or anytime) story!

Once you go warlock...

This book is a dream come true. I’ve always imagined what happens with objects when no one is looking and now we get to experience it with Alaric and Grady. Poor, poor Alaric, what a terrible curse to be forced to watch life but never able to interact. Grady needs a hug and a change in taste; what a horrible jerk his ex is. He and Ric both deserve the world, but Alaric’s father is a selfish coward.

Alaric’s past intertwines with his present and there are far-reaching ramifications for the original curse that trapped him. This makes many changes and adjustments that are needed by everyone involved. “You’ve given me more than I ever dared to wish for.” So much heartbreak in Alaric’s life and my heart bleeds for his pain. He and Grady are both so lonely in their own ways. Together they give each other hope, home and so much more.

Grady and Alaric are so cute and sweet together. Plus, they make me laugh (polka-dotted elephants and festive pjs). I really like when they become protective. It gives me all the happy feels. I’d just like to share that Grady is very clever in his explanations and a quick thinker. Wow, warlocks take intimacy to a whole new level. I second Grady’s reasoning as it pertains to spit. It’s also fairly comforting to know that magical meetings are just as painful as mundane ones. By the way, I adore Tib. He’s really special.

I enjoy magical battles and this one was fierce, impressive, and chilling. Alaric is very brave and I admire his fortitude. So many intriguing surprises and twists are in store when you read this book and it makes me very, very curious to see what’s next for this world. A charming and heartwarming story that will make you believe in holiday magic.

Heather's Notes
This claims to be a stand alone story, but feels like a short story in a longer series. I dislike when there are things going on in the background, and then you can't find a book that explains it. Just be upfront and say this is a stand alone book but also part of a series. If it truly not part of a series, leave all the extra stuff out. That being said it wasn't a bad book. It dragged a little in the middle and then the ending was quick. Overall a feel good story, that I enjoyed reading.

A very sweet MM romance with a fairytale/supernatural undertone & I really enjoyed reading it. I particular liked the direction the author took to make the characters more appealing to the reader & I found the characters well-developed, delightful endearing & interesting with their interactions & chemistry between them. There is good support from the secondary characters. The plot is well-paced & entertaining with a very unique approach by bringing the past to the present.
There is: a young male warlock (Alaric) & his white owl (Tiberius aka Tib) is imprisoned with in a snowball because of his despicable father (Vakore) & this snowball is gifted to a young male manager (Grady) then he starts having strange dreams, Grady’s caring friend (Lazarus), witches, warlocks, familiars, curses, A conclave, drama, some twists, humor, suspense, action, adventure, deceit, betrayal, magic, intrigue, memories, vengeful feelings, malicious intentions, imprisoned, confrontations, some violence, unexpected jealousy, dream walking, confusion, disbelief, longings, attractions, helpfulness, a grimiore, a wish, soul-pledged, unexpected surprises, explanations, distrust, reassurance, abduction, defiance, fear, magical conflict, contentment, love, mild steam, happiness & a well-deserved satisfying epilogue.

I don't read much fantasy/paranormal, but I was sucked in by these characters immediately

I was so happily surprised by how much I enjoyed this book! I don't read much fantasy/paranormal, but I was sucked in by these characters immediately. I loved the time-travel-like trope of a man who's used to customs from 200 years ago learning to use a smart phone, and ride in a car. Alaric has been through so much - abuse he's experienced both directly and indirectly, over centuries. He and Grady made such a sweet couple, and I loved that they have a demisexual relationship without necessarily labelling it that way (it's likely not something Alaric would have the words for, even having passively watched a good deal of television over the decades) and Grady was completely accepting and welcoming of that. (I saw another review that mourned the lack of a "real" sex scene, and honestly I find that upsetting. There are definitely real sex scenes in this book. Sex does not require penetration to be "real.") But I was left with so many questions!! I need to know more about Laz and Raph! And Izzy! I kept waiting for closure that never came (for the secondary characters, at least).

To me, 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗻 𝗔 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 felt so much like a fairytale:you have the evil witch who casts a spell on an innocent,a fable like romance and a battle against malevolent forces.

Yes,so much like a fairytale, but with Michele Notaro's brilliant touch. And let me tell you, she made it so that everything about the book is exciting and magical. Starting with the original idea of the snow globe as a prison and making it possible for Alaric and Grady to be together in their dreams, until they could meet in real life. And then, when they finally do meet, they find themselves in the middle of a dangerous witch hunt that may tear them apart again.

Alaric and Grady are charming. The most gentle and kindest of souls and never have to men deserved happiness and love as they do. But all the other characters are also well written and intriguing. All of them engaged in a fast flowing, irresistible and fantastic story, that has kept me glued to its pages.

I have one question: do Laz,Raphie and Izzy get their own story? Because that would be awesome.

This second book in the Christmas Snowglobe series by Michelle Notaro was a sweet addition.
Alaric has been trapped in his snowglobe for hundreds of years and finally managed to escape to save the man he currently resided with.
The story is slow and sweet as Alaric sorts out living outside the glass ball and finding the one who did this to him and Grady tries to understand magic in a human world.
The relationship between Grady and Alaric is a slow build because of Alaric’s feelings of anxiety and being a demisexual. Grady takes it kindly and sweetly working with what Alaric is comfortable with and it’s perfect.
There is battles near the end as they find the witch who trapped Alaric. Lots of things happen that keeps you turned to the page. You want to know what happens to all the characters, including the secondary ones.

If you enjoy slow sweet burn with a hint of a Demisexual, some magic, some fighting and beautiful familiars,, try this out.

I received an ARC for my honest review.

This second book in the holiday snow globe anthology series is a sweet paranormal story with witches, warlocks, friends and chosen family. The warlock Alaric is trapped in a snow globe by an evil witch. The snow globe ultimately comes into the possession of Grady, a lonely comic book store owner. As events unfold we get a story of found family, love, second chances and friendship. All perfect for the holiday season.

I found the story slow in unfolding at first but once things picked up I really enjoyed the trajectory of Grady and Alaric’s relationship and the way secondary characters Laz, Raphael and Isaac become integral to the story and their new chosen family. And of course I can’t forget Alaric’s familiar, a snowy owl named Tiberius. It really amused me picturing Tib’s antics and role in their lives.

There seems to be interesting back story here and I would love to see more of these characters and get to know more about Raphael and Isaac and the world they come from and their history. It’s a fun read.

*I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my objective review *

Brilliant sweet romance with a dash of magic

This is such a well written, original story with a plot that has a surprise or two along the way. The main characters are easy to connect with because they are so likeable with wonderful chemistry. Don’t read this expecting lots of bedroom antics, it’s not like that, but what they do have is so beautifully written it gave me all the feels. There are also so very interesting side characters that have left me intrigued and wanting to know their story.
I was so invested in this book, I made the mistake of starting it in the late afternoon and couldn’t put it down until I finished it very late that night!

Grady loves his life, is a kind soul but is lonely. He’s given a snow globe by his best friend that changes his life.
Alaric, a warlock, is sweet, caring and selfless even after having an horrific childhood. He was cursed by a witch wanting revenge on his selfish, cruel father. That curse left him inside his snow globe prison for 200 years.

After being able to connect in the dream realm, Grady’s willpower and Alaric’s magic are able to secure Alaric’s much longed for freedom. And so the adventure begins.
I highly recommend this book if you like a sweet romance with the addition of a good magic versus evil magic plot.
