This is the fourth (and final!) book in the Russian Bodyguard Protectors series.
The past is the past. I have no future.
Cancer can be a death sentence -- but when you know any day could be your last -- it really puts things in perspective. I may not have much time left, so I’m going to stop living for other people. For the first time in my life, I’m living for myself. I’m going after what I want.
And what I want is him.
He’s older. He’s experienced. And he’s my father’s partner and trusted friend. Totally off-limits, right? Once, I would have thought so. But not now. I’ve spent a lifetime holding back. And it feels so good to give in.
But I’m not used to doing something so reckless. This Russian bodyguard is danger incarnate. He’s hiding something about my past I’m not supposed to ever find out.
I thought I had nothing left to lose. But it turns out the past doesn’t always stay in the past. He promised to protect me; instead, he's going to break me. Because it's what you don't know that breaks you. - - - -- - - -
Russian Bodyguard Protectors: Book 1: Tender Beast Book 2: Beautiful Liar Book 3: Ruthless Savior Book 4: Broken Vow
Simone Rivers writes Interracial BWWM Romance with smart & strong heroines and supportive alpha heroes. Funny thing: a lot of these heroes also just happen to be billionaires with rock-hard abs. She loves hanging with her writing buds (a cat who likes to sit on her computer, and a dog who always wants to go on walks), and spending time with her family.
I skimmed and read this in one day. It is the final (fourth) book in a series of the Russian Bodyguard Protectors. I found it a nice "fairytale" but I have been looking for more action in the storyline which was missing. This is a different author for the final story (Simone Rivers vs Nina Sparrow) and I am not sure if it is the same author using a different name but it was not really what I had expected.
Still Questions That Are Left Unanswered In This Saga...
After reading the fourth book in the Russian Bodyguards Protectors series, I had to ask, what happened to Avery? Happy to see that Ana got her happily ever for now and hope it is ever after, but with her history, who knows. Daniel’s past still remains a mystery and he seemed to have a very active one. This book was okay, but needs more editing work.
I loved the story and the build up to them having a relationship but I only gave 4* because I find the lack of character descriptions frustrating. The only reference to it being an IR story is the front cover. Was her father white? Would appear so but actually knows
