I’m in love with my boss. But I swear the man they call St. Nix would never look at anyone sideways, let alone consider a tryst with his plain, curvy secretary. But when my roommate convinces me to go to the masked Christmas Eve party, things get out of hand. Before I know it, I’m waking in Nixon’s bed, and saint or not, there may be hell to pay.
Nix:
The second I saw her at the party, I knew who she was. But my December has always been shy, so I played along. The thing is, she turned more heads than she knew, and there was no question. I would do anything—ANYTHING—to make sure she was at my side and mine forever. They call me St. Nix, but to tell the truth, I’m anything but saintly. When I get December in my arms… Well, let’s just say: We’ll definitely be making the naughty list.
When it comes to books and movies, Brynn Paulin has one rule: there must be a happy ending. After that one requirement, anything else goes. And it just might in any of her books.
Brynn lives in Michigan, where she likes to spoil her children and dogs—not necessarily in that order. She also loves to cook, travel and spend far too much time on social media. She enjoys mentoring and meeting new people and is always willing to chat. Personally, she finds great pleasure in spending time with her family and dogs, as well as volunteering around her community.
First published in June 2007 by Ellora's Cave, Brynn is the author of over 130 books, including the bestselling Daly Way and Taboo Wishes series.
According to Brynn, her writing success can be attributed to an eclectic collection of music, her local road construction crews, a trusty notebook, and of course, the people in her life who’ve finally accepted that everything is research—or will be.
December could take me to my knees if she wanted to.
Another great story by Ms. Paulin. Short, sweet & steamy. Loved every second. -virgin h, no details on H past -no cheating or abuse -dual POV -no OM OW drama Completely recommend!
Another fantastic Christmas story from Brynn Paulin. I absolutely LOVED the story. There are some editing issues ( wrong or missing words, typos) , enough to notice but not enough to really take you completely out of the story. I consider this a happy for now because the epilogue is only about a week out. This story is 100% safe from any kind of abuse, no cheating, no om/ow drama
Loving St Nix is a novella in the ‘’a forever safe Christmas’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. December has been in love with her boss for nearly a year and hid it. When the works Christmas party arrives, Nixon makes his move but will December give love a chance? The chemistry between Nix and December is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
Brynn gave us a great holiday treat with Nix and December's story. A office romance that starts with a masked Christmas party..giving them both the courage to act on their long secret feelings.
I love a good boss/employee romance but throw in the holiday season, a bit of possessive guy "protecting" his woman, a family holiday get together and its a recipe for a great sweet AND steamy quick read.
My only issue was the number of typos it was noticeable due to it being a short story and did distract from the sweet story.
Cute Christmasy story which I enjoyed. felt a little underdeveloped where it was so short. Also it was a little misleading as the mask doesn't stay on very long, so it didn't feel like she even had the chance to 'mislead' the H.
I think in my mind I pictured shadowy 'anonymous' smexy time(s) at the office Christmas party and then panic and regret the next day....but it didn't work out that way. I read this almost a week ago and I can't even remember if they got the chance to kiss before they are interrupted and then it's back to a normal work day the next day,
Office romance at Christmas time, I'm so there. December and Nix's story was my absolute favorite of the three from Brynn Paulin. They both feel the attraction but December doesn't want to lose her job due to the no frat policy. Nix is tired of waiting, he is the boss and he is going to change that stupid rule. I loved this one from start to finish, I definitely see a reread on the regular in my future. So much love for December and Nix!
Another family affair for the cove. Box is the boss who has loved December since the day she was hired. 10 months later he is through worrying about the the work policy he made and is ready to make December his, all he has to find out is if she loves her ex who is married to December's sister.
Not good. The whole story felt rushed, and was too similar to Jingle Belle's Rock. It was annoyingly peppered with errors from the first page. I lost count how many times a sentence had a word missing or a word in the wrong tense.
Such a feel good story with just the right amounts of naughty parts. A couple working with and learning about each other before acting on their feeling is the perfect build up. Recommend read.
This is the third book in the series, but you don't have to read them in order. December is in love with her boss Nixon and it appears that he feels the same. This book was cute, but it needs some serious editing!!!!!!!
The title of the story had me chuckling. I really, really enjoyed this story. I didn't even realize that the first book was like family affair. Nixon was going to let his girl get away or not have her with him this holiday season.
°Virgin heroine °Hero's past was never mentioned °Switching POVs °Free of OW/OM drama °No separation °No cheating °No pushing away °Intimate scenes only between hero and heroine °No epilogue/HFN
This book was such a sweet instant love story. I immediately feel in love with this couple, Nixon and December. They were an amazing couple and I loved their story.
