We wanted a travel guide that covered Santiago primarily, followed by some details on ports in Chile that are cruise ship was going to stop at. This book exceeded our expectations for Santiago. There are details on local transportation including shuttles to and from the airport as well as detailed street maps with metro stops included. All top attractions, as rated by TA, in the city are included. Of value to us was the coverage of the Casablanca Valley area with suggested wineries and a map of most of the valley. Less details are available for the other ports such as Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas. Chile is a large country but this guide seems to have something for most of the areas. We are happy to have it in our arsenal of information.

Excellent presentation of the history and culture. The book is nicely designed since there is an internal index, sending you to where in the book each issues or building is discussed. I do feel ready for my trip and eager to see many sights and learn more about the history of this nation.
