I’m glad that this series didn’t steer away from sex…
BUT COME ON! Even with an interruption, most people wouldn’t just not have sex!!!! Especially horny teenagers!!!!! Shojo being all annoying again, making it seem like the first time has to be in the perfect place at the perfect time! Forget spontaneity!!! Grrr.. End rant here LOL

Also WHYYY DID KOEDA CUT HER HAIR??! It was growing. It was soooo cute!!!! Why do the bitchy girls in these series get to have the long hair?!!!!!!! Freakin shojo logic pshhhh

Honestly, this one triggered all my past relationship traumas and I am so glad that, no matter what my mind told me was going to happen, none of it did. Matsamune is ceaselessly kind and I love the love he has for Koeda, no matter what.

YALL I LOVE THEM SO SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!!!!! It's so rare these days to find leads who are so perfect for each other and Koeda and Masamune are just A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN!!!!!!!! I'm just so thankful for this manga and I urge everyone to read this too like whew 😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️

3.5, but just not quite there. They did some fun panel gags with the art this time that were cute. Otherwise it was enjoyable but the whole birthday story could have been cut and pasted from any shojo in the past decade.

The hot springs were okay. They dance a fine line here; Koeda’s body issues are given some weight that I appreciate and there are some great drawings and the romance here is better than it’s been for a while. It was a good volume but nothing spectacular.
