At this time, Wecter was chairman of the Huntington Library 's permanent research staff and was literary editor of the Mark Twain estate. The book features a classic photograph of Twain as its frontispiece. The exterior of this copy shows minor wear and soiling. There is a crack at the rear upper joint, about two inches long, which involves only the surface paper.
