There was too much sex for the page count - after about the third blow job I started skimming. I was intrigued by the surprise ending, but won't be continuing on with this series.

Yes, it’s hot and filthy and just the right amount of whatever we call those well-written languid sultry bits that blow our minds. Yes, Ella James is teasing us.
The entire novella—the yacht, the inky churn of the ocean, mirrored in these two vulnerable men—had a palpable, dangerous dark quality, some of the finest suspense romance I’ve read in ages.
I loved every crest and wave of emotion these two incredibly well drawn characters pulled out of me. There’s not a wasted word. READ IMMEDIATELY. Quit reading and one click this book.
The strangers passing in the night conceit and how it’s presented, it makes every delicious wicked touch and withheld confession painful, exquisite, delicious. And ADULT. Luke and Vance are so much more than players in a trope. Ella James has found a new gear to compliment her impressive catalogue.
It’s so damn good. Amazingly moving and Unf, yeah... that too.

Holy MM read! I’ll be completely honest, I didn’t read the blurb before one clicking and starting this story. It’s nice to just give an author you’ve never read before a shot, that’s what I did with this story and I was not disappointed. The very beginning I was a bit on the fence but THEN yes yes YES. Captain oh Captain what you shared with both Luke and is readers has me turning the page continuously. A great little treat that you can enjoy on a break in your free time.

This is literally the first chapter of Worship by Ella James. So of course I had to jump on Worship as soon as I finished this little tease.
Without giving anything away, I can tell you that this is a forbidden romance between two men that will make your heart ache for them.

Hot and heavy, Vance and Luke’s prequel’s a fast paced, steam filled read.
I adore these two in the following books. Their introduction in the Caymans, in the middle of nowhere is fun. In just a few pages, you’re drawn into an angst filled read, leaving you wanting more.

Ever the artist, Vance is enamored instantly. Luke’s secret…you’ll need to read further to discover.

I read the whole 3 books back to back, and now coming back to write a review, so it is kind of a nice walk again to their beautiful story.
Of course all the set up was perfect, it always is when there is an uber rich dude. The instalove, the first time without us knowing it, the shoulder brushoff when he was letting him go and how he shut down totally
How he knew who Luke was on the plane, all of these stuff are fiction and nauseating but they are what makes a book from this genre bearable i guess.
I am still waiting for the super powerful MM book like the one Emma Scott wrote, but they are so hard to find, but this one did it's job.

I read, Prelude, Worship and Adore all together so I will rate them together. I love Ella James books because they are filled with emotion, and you can feel how the main characters cannot live happily without each other. This series has all of that and then some that the emotion was overwhelming to the point the story was hard to connect with. It was like from the moment they met they stopped being individuals and the story suffered. I felt like I never got to know Luke and Vance. I will read the third book when it comes out but I have to admit, this is the first Ella James series that hasn’t left me excited for more. 2.5 stars

I have already read the first book but due to time constraints, I can't reread the whole book which is why I opted to read this little book - these few chapters are the same from the first book - gives you an introduction of these guys.
As always, so mouth-watering good. Gah! I wish I had time to reread the whole book (will set make time later).
Full of forbiddeness, steam, worship and attraction.
Perfect for readers of forbidden romances.

With great expectations and anticipation for this book, I was not disappointed. Ella James hit it out of park. It didn’t matter that it was a MM romance, I became totally involved with the plot and the characters. I could not put it down! The interaction between the two main characters was heart wrenching and emotional. Be aware that it is a part of a duet and ends in a cliffhanger. 5stars plus!

A fantastic bite sized novella setting the scene for book 1 - Worship. Super steamy and all kinds of hot, with a revelation of an ending that makes the reader want to discover how the story plays out. I'm diving straight into to Worship so I can see how these characters develop and where the story leads us. A great little teaser of a story. The perfect size for a free moment between tasks, or a little saucy late night reading.

Leí esto solo porque aparecía como el 0.5 de la serie y la mitad del tiempo no le encontré sentido me parecía demasiado superficial la trama, entiendo que se superpone con una parte del libro uno y por eso tal vez no había muchas explicaciones o detalles pero aun así no me atrapo en ningún momento estaba por decir "meh, no me interesa" pero lo que sueltan al final me dejo como what? ¿qué esta pasando aquí?

I swear that man is Vance. He didn’t just narrate him he became him. Every pause, every breath, every whisper ugh. It brought Vance to life in a way that made my chest ache. He gave him soul, swagger, and just the right amount of broken.
Prelude didn’t give me everything but it gave me enough to be obsessed.
Now I’m diving headfirst into Worship because I need to know how bad it’s gonna burn.

This is the second Ella James book I’ve read. I met Luke and Vance in WRATH, and when I learned they had their own trilogy, I wanted to know their story. This was a quick intro to how they met, and it was definitely enough to get me invested in where they might go from here - knowing what I know of them already in WRATH, I’m really interested to see how they develop and how they get to that point. I like Ella James’s writing and I’m interested to see if this series holds up to WRATH for me.

August 18, 2022Captivating beginning of an epic story. Ok, there's really a whole lot of sex but there's also a connection and I really recommend reading at least book 1 Worship to decide if you're into this story or not. I loved book 1 and 2, starting 3 right now.
