Noah 'Weed' Williams is not a good man. He drinks too much, sleeps around too much, and he doesn't think he's worthy of a meaningful relationship. Meeting Chloe opens his eyes to a world he could have, but he knows she deserves better than him.
Chloe shouldn't be thinking about bikers when she already has her hands full. Between an abusive father and protecting her little brother, she's not contemplating a relationship, but that may not be her choice. Weed is not a simple man, though, and helping him to see past what he considers his faults may not be an easy feat.
With things in the Club so unsettled, love may have to take a back seat to survival, because things are getting dangerous in Kingsley.
Can Chloe help her flawed rider see himself how she sees him? Or will Weed throw away his chance at happiness? And together can they overcome the tribulations facing the Club?
Flawed Rider is book 6 in the Lost Saxons, a motorcycle romance series that promises high-stakes drama, suspense and fast-talking men who will go to the ends of the earth for their women.
Noah "Weed" Williams is a biker who lives to protect his club, when he gets a call from one of the interns working in the shop that he needs help. Noah doesn't ordinarily get involved in matters like this but the kid is young and after finding out he was arrested for protecting his sister he helps out. What he doesn't expect is to see Chloe, the kids older sister. Weed wants Chloe, she is radiant but he is not a man to settle down. He fights it every step of the way but Chloe keeps crossing his path and as much as she makes it clear she wants him, he doesn't feel he is good enough for her. Can she prove him wrong?
This was a bit angstier then I thought it would be. Weed is too much in his head when it comes to Chloe. He finally gets it but I liked Chloe and her brother a lot. Has a whole back story there that unfolds and is heartbreaking. Great story.
The 6th book in this series follows the same path as the others - danger, violence, unsettling threats and death. Cheerful, right? Hahaha.
As we know, from the past 5 books, there is no break in the stress and impending chaos for this club. Dylan is still free, and with the territory war simmering, there isn't a safe space for anyone.
Weed has been the jovial, happy-go-lucky brother for a while now, but as we could have guessed, that is just a mask he slides in place, to hide his past trauma. When he steps up for Jesse [an apprentice at the shop], he gets more than he bargained for, and an insta-love connection with Jesse's older sister, Chloe. You can imagine, this creates all kinds of angst and drama... soo good.
This series is not for sensitive readers, as there a many pulse pounding scenes that keep you addicted to the twists and bloody turns in this storyline. The connection between Chloe and Weed is adorable and steamy, and I really appreciate the steps he took to ensure their HEA. It certainly is/was touch and go there for a bit!
With the last book looming, I am preparing for a knock down, drag out fight that I know this talented author will deliver, to wrap up this series correctly. These characters are easy to enjoy, and I will be sad then the series ends - just like I am with any and all of her other works. If you haven't read this author before, I highly recommend changing that. I was fortunate to receive a complimentary copy of this book (thank you) and voluntarily leave my review. I can't wait for #7.
The sixth book in the Lost Saxons series brings Weed and Chloe's story. The author brings strong characters and weaves a slow burn romance. She does a great job bringing strong characters in Weed and Chloe's story and weaves a slow burn romance. She does a great job building the story and paints her scenes and paints her scenes perfectly. It moves fluidly and is a terrific read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
It can’t get any better than when another member of the Lost Saxons MC get their story and this time, we have Weed’s. Weed and Chloe take a long way around to get to their HEA because he doesn’t think he is good enough for Chloe. Just how long will Chloe wait for Weed to realize that she is the one for him. This was another winner in the Lost Saxons MC series.
I really enjoyed Weed and Chloe's story. I have been excited to get Weed's book for awhile and I wasn't disappointed. It was an added bonus that the story was told from his POV. A great read!
I love this series. Every character just grabs you. I've watched Weed joke his way through 5 books and 2 novellas and was thrilled with his own book. He finally gets the love he deserves with Chloe. If I could have had one wish, it would have been more. I just wanted more of his life. I highly recommend this series.
3.75stars-FLAWED RIDER is the sixth instalment in Jessica Ames’ contemporary, adult LOST SAXONS MC erotic, romance series. This is twenty-six year old, MC member Noah ‘Weed’ Williams, and twenty-three year old, housing administrator Chloe Allen’s story line. FLAWED RIDER can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise throughout.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from first person perspective (Weed) FLAWED RIDER follows the building relationship between our story line couple. Chloe Allen’s sixteen year old brother Jesse had been arrested for trying to protect his sister, a sister that is now in hospital recovering from the abuse at the hands of her father. Jesse only knows of one person to call, and that is his boss Noah ‘Weed’ Williams. Bailing out Jesse, and picking up Chloe finds Weed struggling with his attraction to a woman he does not deserve but the abuser refuses to back down, and Weed is about to declare himself guardian and protector of the woman with whom he is falling in love. Meanwhile, the past refuses to let go; the Lost Saxons MC are headed to war, and the club is about to say goodbye to one of their own. What ensues is the building relationship between Weed and Chloe, and the potential fall-out as both Jesse and Weed are targeted in different attacks.
The world building continues to focus on the enemies that want control of the Lost Saxons MC territory, and in doing so are about to send a message through our story line hero. As Weed continues to struggle with his need and attraction for Chloe Allen, someone else is threatening to destroy them all.
The relationship between Chloe and Weed begins as a rescue, of a sorts. Weed believes it is his duty and honor to help Chloe and Jesse but Weed continues to battle between head and heart believing he is not worthy of his own happily ever after. Constantly pushing Chloe away in the face of his own darkened past, Weed believes it is only a matter of time before he becomes someone no one can love. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters, many of whom we met in the previous story lines. We are introduced to Chloe’s sixteen year old brother, and Weed’s mechanic’s assistant Jesse, and their father Michael Allen. The requisite evil has many faces.
FLAWED RIDER is a story of betrayal and vengeance, domestic violence, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is emotional and intriguing; the romance is provocative; the characters are desperate and charismatic.
MMC/FMC- Weed and Chloe POV- 1st person Genre- MC Romance Heat- 🌋🌋🌋. They do the thing and use the P word whilst naming the parts. The C word is used in this book as a general insult, not during zexytime or during naming of the parts. Series? Y Safety? YMMV. He has off page zexytime with another woman after he has met the heroine, but before they get together. No S.A. Triggers- Explicit erotic content, graphic violence, language, domestic violence, abuse of a minor. Tropes- Damsel in Distress, Adorable Not-So-Moppet, The “I’m Not Good Enough For You” Trope (I’m sure there’s a cool and concise name for it, but I don’t have five or six hours to get lost on TV Tropes or it’s ilk). Thoughts- The overall story arc progresses in this book, and there’s related activity (and violence. Graphic violence). The story itself is pretty simple; a woman needs to save herself and her brother from an abusive father, and the hero is her rescuer. The hero, though, is a good, solid character. He and the heroine (and the teenage brother) are likable, and they make the story well worth reading. (This is where I check the “Wonderful Characters” box.) I did find this book a little too angsty for my taste, what with the whole “I’m Not Good Enough For You” trope and all, but they had to have drama come from somewhere, so I’ll give it a pass. I enjoyed this book. It was a simple story done well.

Where do I even start with this book? Because it's amazing. We see an unknown side of Weed who, until Flawed Rider, has always passed as the funny, smartass of the group. But his past left deep scars and it still haunts him. Besides his Club, he isn't attached to anyone. He doesn't do relationships, nor he is interested in being a role model. Until he helps Jesse on Christmas Day, and meets Chloe Allen.
She is a spitfire redhead, who says what she thinks and doesn't feel she needs to be saved or helped. Their attraction is instant. And Weed will fight it all the way. They are so good together, and Chloe brings out the best in Weed. She completes him, allowing him to shed light on his past and fears.
Being the brilliant writer she is, Jessica James not only beautifully crafted Weed's story. No. She keeps the tension going in the Lost Saxons world by brewing a storm that no one, and I really mean no one, will see coming. And it's all you could ever want from an MC book. Not only you get to know the characters, but you live and breathe the MC life and its issues.
Chloe & Weed lived up to the promise, I loved Flawed Rider!
Chloe and Jesse are just trying to get by when Jesse gets put in jail for defending Chloe from his Dad. Weed can't walk away when he sees how they've both been treated, he knows he's going to have to deal with their father.
Weed just wants to help protect Jess and Chloe, not hop into a relationship with her. Afterall the filth of Weeds childhood is still layered on him in a way he knows he'll smell it forever.
Chloe is not going to give up, but she might not have a choice when an old enemy surfaces.
Jessica Ames tried to break my heart this time with a great amount of angst, and suspense about what will happen with the Saxons when next one of their own is threatened. A beautifully written view into Weed's world after Chloe flipped it on its head. Definitely worth 5⭐s!!
This book brought me to my knees!! Weed has always been a joker, happy go lucky, giving zero f*cks about anything other than his brothers. He will do anything he needs to do to back his brothers and protect those close to the MC. When he is called to the police station to pick up Jesse, a kid that works at the Saxons garage he gets more than he bargained for. And we get to see another side of Weed. Not just a more serious Weed but a darker Weed. My heart! Chloe is like a shining light and he tries so hard to keep his distance but when others threaten her safety, they will have to go through him and the Lost Saxons MC. This author keeps bringing us amazing characters that manage to pull every emotion from me and this was no exception. Tears were shed, and I mean snotty, ugly tears, yeah, you need to read this book to find out why!
Weed finally finds love, something he hasn't had since he was a young kid. I was so happy that he found Chloe, she is strong, smart and determined to make him see he is a good man. He is kind, thoughtful and steps up straight away when anyone needs help. Jessie as well, he kept all his problems to himself for as long as he could so it was nice for him to have a man and men actually show him decency and respect. There are some tense points and violence, especially with the on-going threats to the club but a lot of this was Chloe being brought into the group and Weed's battle to feel worthy. I found it interesting, sweet at times, it gave me goosebumps and had me loving how accepting Chloe was of the lifestyle with the MC and how right she was for Weed. I could see a possible future prospect as well. A story with grit and hope.
Oh wow! Jesse is 16. He was taken on as an apprentice at the same garage Weed works at. He rang Weed, he was at the police station, he'd punched his dad for hitting his sister. He couldn't leave him there, it was Christmas besides, he knew about parents beating on kids. So he rang the club's solicitor & went to the police station to get Jesse. When he gets him out he refuses to go home, he needs to get his sister. Weed having already worked out he's from abused home, wasnt gonna be taking him back there anyway, Jesse tells him his sister is at the hospital. When they find her she not the child Weed expects she's about 20 and gorgeous. Another fantastic book with an explosive ending, excellent Sue P
This book is Weed and Chloe’s story. They meet through Jesse, the apprentice at the garage. They like each other, but he tries to avoid her. However, they’re drawn to each other and keep circling each other. She becomes friends with the old ladies and enters their group of friends. They end up together. Several things happen at the Club, with Beth, Jimmy and still they haven’t found Dylan.
I love how in this book Jessica brings characters we met in other books and keeps the stories moving forward. I love knowing what happens next to this family and definitely want to know what will happen with Dylan. Excellent book!
Wow wow wow.. I have loved each and every one of the books in this series and each main character has drawn me in and made me love them slightly more than the last but fragile broken Weed absolutely got into my heart and pulled my strings tightly. I so wanted to tell him just how amazing he is so when Chloe just wouldnt take no for an answer I wanted to cheer out loud lol Great written story that kept me turning those pages and unable to put the book down and still left me crying for more! Jessica Ames has proved time and time again that she can write a fantastic MC read and there is nothing I want more than to hide out in the Lost Saxon Clubhouse with them all!
Loved this novel! I have read other novels by this author and loved them and this novel did not disappoint. I love this series! I was so excited to start reading this novel and explore Weed's novel. From the very first chapter I was hooked and I could not put this novel down. I loved that Weed finally has his own love story. I loved Chloe and Weed together. Although there were moments where I wanted to shake Weed and his feelings of not being good enough for Chloe. I loved their chemistry. I love when a novel just grabs hold and I can't put it down because I need to know what is coming next. This novel checked all my boxes. Loved it! Can't wait to see what is coming next.
Amazing! Incredible and just all around perfection! This installment in the Lost Saxons series just reiterates why Jessica Ames is such a great author and why this series is one you will want to read more than once!
Weed and Chloe are just so good together. She is exactly what he needs whether he can see it or not.
I like how it happens but doesn’t happen with them right away. It made their story believable and more impactful with the slowness.
The Saxon men seem to know how to give their women what they need and vice versa!
This series is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. Weeds character is so funny and always got a smile for everyone you knew that deep down he wasn't the happy go lucky man he plays himself as. Chloe is the sister of one of the apprentices at the garage. There's a few misunderstanding before Chloe works her magic on Weed. Jessica writes each book in such a way that you feel a part of it all. I love that the thread through out is the mystery of Why Dylan betrayed the club..... Answers slowly filter through.
Noah or "Weed" is a man who sees himself as broken, but puts on the face of a funny, party loving dude. Chloe is dealing with helping her little brother, trying to protect him from their abusive father. Noah is called to help Jesse and ends up stepping up to help not only the young man, but his sister as well. I liked seeing the evolution of Noah and how he showed Chloe he could be a man to be counted on. I also loved how Chloe saw beneath the surface to the protective man Noah really was. Great HEA.
Weed is the laid back joker of the MC and he doesn't take much seriously. When Jesse, the apprentice at the garage, gets arrested and calls Weed to bail him out. Chloe is Jesse's older sister and when her and Jesse become victims of their stepfather, Weed's protective instincts kick in. He tries to stay away from her because if his difficult childhood but that proves to not be possible as she becomes entwined in the club. This is a slow burn, steamy romance that deals with child abuse.

Flawed Rider is Weed's story and is a fantastic addition to the series. Weed has a very low opinion of himself due to the abuse he witnessed and endured from his childhood. Even though he wants what the other brothers have, he feels he has nothing to offer a woman because of his father's DNA being passed down to him. When he continuously steps up to help Chloe and her brother Jesse, his actions show otherwise. Weed had me cheering for him from page one and I couldn't wait for him to realize his worth and his HEA.
Weed and Chloe’s story was so good from the very beginning. Chloe is Jesse and apprentice at the garage that Weed works at sister. Chloe and Weed are drawn to each other but Weed tries to stay away from her because of his past. She starts to become friends with his brothers from the Lost Saxons old ladies and Weed is unable to stay away. We are able to catch up with the other characters from other Lost Saxons books which allows the series to flow.
When weed gets a call about his iintern Jesse in trouble helping his sister Chloe from their abusive father, Weed finally feels he has a purpose to his life and thats protecting Chloe, only with danger surrounding the club can they make a go of things to last? or will Weed lose the best thing to ever happen to him? well written engaing steamy read with dark themes a great addition to the series.

I've enjoyed Weed's character in previous books, and I'm glad to see him find "the one". Chloe's younger brother, Jesse, is in an apprentice program at the MC's garage. This makes him, and her by extension, part of the MC family. Weed and Chloe are prefect together, each bringing exactly what the other needs. My favorite thing is that Weed takes Chloe and Jesse as a package deal. On to book 7... I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Chloe and Weeds story was so great! In past Saxon’s stories Weed comes across as a jokester but in this book we learn how he really is. His need to take care of chloe and Jesse is sweet and the love between them is palpable. Once again Jessica Ames did not disappoint and I can’t wait for more stories in this series.
Chloe and Weed do not disappoint in Flawed Rider, Lost Saxons #6. Chloe and her brother have grown up in an abusive situation. Weed really doesn't want to get involved, but once he meets Chloe there is no way he can stop himself. Will Weed realize that he isn't a bad person and he deserves Chloe's love? Will Chloe hang on or after being rejected repeatedly will she give up on Weed and find another love?
I love the Lost Saxons and Weed's story is just amazing! Thank you Ms. Ames and I can't wait for more Lost Saxon's love!!
I enjoyed this glimpse into Weed’s life and his finding his woman. It is a bumpy romance because of outside influences. Her abusive father, someone trying to take down the club, dubious acting Prez and VP. It a good read. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger (although there is still a threat to the club that needs resolving). Enjoy this one.
Weed and Chloe's story is touching and had me in their corner to get their chance for happiness. She comes from an abusive dysfunctional family and Weed feels that he isn't good enough for her. Will their relationship blossom into a happily ever after.

I'm hating that this series is coming to an end as the further we get in it the more I love it. I know it's an old series, but I hope the author comes back to them. This book had so much packed in it and will run you through a gamut of emotions over and over for many different reasons. I cannot wait to find out the final pieces of the puzzle and to see if suspicions are correct.
This is the 6th book in this awesome series, and this is Noah /Weed and Chloe’s story. This is a well written action packed story, with family, friendships, loyalty, emotions, humor, witty banter, intrigue, and love, which leads to an entertaining, haunting, twisted, unpredictable, and steamy page turner.
