Til Death Do Us Part

Rate this book
On New Year's Eve, Cole is waiting outside a party for his wife to leave with her current lover.
Cole's resolution is to make sure his wife sticks to her marriage vows. Since he agreed to love her til death do them part, why couldn't she? His only goal is to make those words come true.

The things he wants to do to his wife and her lover are unspeakable.

This is a violent book. There is a ton of blood. If you can't handle a few chapters of descriptive gore, then this book is not for you. Maybe I should add triggers, but instead let's just call it EXTREME HORROR.

Dear mama,

I have to tell you about this book I just read. It's called TIL DEATH DO US PART. It's a story about this guy called Cole, whose skanky-ass wife cheated on him and wants a divorce, but he still believes in the sacred vows of marriage and they both swore to be together until death.
So he abducts her and her new gym-rat boyfriend and he tortures the ever-loving fuck out of them. I tell you, I was laughing so hard I had to wipe the tears away before I could continue. You know me and my love for romantic comedies.
Darn, it's making so much noise. Precious is going crazy beside me - she hates the noise as well.
Guess I have to go, it's time to remind her to put the lotion on her skin or else she gets the hose again.

Miss you, ma.
Love - your girl-boy
Jame Gumb

PS: If it wasn't for the ending, this story would have gotten 4 stars...

Pps: CLARIFICATION - this story has nothing in common with SOTL - it was just the first person who popped into my head who might find it funny and I went with it.

Oh what fun it is to see a vexed husband going on a murderous rampage. That’s about all there was to this one. A normal Sea Caummisar romp where gore and body horror take the lead, while substance is sacrificed more than the victims in each story. The violence is aplenty, and there is some decent writing in here, but there are so many missed opportunities. I want to like these books so much more than I do, but there is consistently too much of the ‘tell, don’t show’ sort of content. For instance, here we had some brief references to a troubled marriage and upbringing that had some hunting involved, none of which amounted to such a ruthless, murderous, and very rageful husband. I’m not trying to say that I don’t like anything here, and I know the point of these types of splatterpunk books is just to be gross. But you need to develop the stories enough to make some sort of logical sense. It could have been some minor shifts that would have made a huge difference. Mariah could have cheated prior and Cole killed them, too, like a sick game they play, or Kevin could have been his best friend. Nothing crazy, but just some fine tuning could make a world of difference. However without any of those suggestions, it just comes across like an excuse to write overcomplicated and ugly kill scenes.

What an extreme terror ride this story turned out to be!

Til-Death-Do-Us-Part-fan-art.jpg

A small backstory:

Cole is wanting to make his wife (Mariah) not only pay for leaving him but also make her pay for being with her new lover, Kevin. He sits outside a New Year's Eve party contemplating of what kind of horrors he wants to do to the lovers.

Thoughts:

This book was a wild ride into the extreme splatterpunk side of life and there is quite a bit of brutal terror to be found within these pages! Twisted storyline which thankfully I had my gore suit ready as I waded through tons of blood and gore! The violent acts that are performed within these pages might make some people squirm as they read it.

I would definitely heed the warnings on this book as there is loads of extreme situations within the pages of this book. If you are the type of person that cannot read about extreme violence then this book might not be for you, but for the hardcore horror fans that like to soak in blood pools filled with gore than by all means pick up this book! Giving this book four "splatter" stars!

A brutal and explosive story of a jealous husband's retaliation. The violence is graphic and detailed, so be forewarned. There are some unexpected twists to be unearthed. This is a story that will satisfy an extreme horror lover's quest for vengeance and carnage.

I've heard somewhere 😉 "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. No one is angrier than a woman who has been rejected in love." Welllllllllll, they haven't met Cole!

Another great extreme by Caummisar that I thoroughly enjoyed for the sick twisted tale it is. We have an obsessed ex wanting to take revenge on his wife for not following her vow of marriage... but that also includes her new lover. As usual with this author, the torture scenes are deliciously horrific. There is an unexpected twist at the end, not what I expect from this author, so quite a surprise.
Highly recommended for lovers of extreme/splatterpunk.

Love hurts...

...and scars.
There are many ways to hurt someone, even more to hurt someone you love.

You saw the warning - 'Til Death Do Us Part' contains scenes of EXTREME love. Not for the squeamish, but perfect for Sea's fans! No spoilers, so let me just say that I love how this came together in the end.
Can love heal? We'll see...

Blood, gore, and surprises around every corner! This is horror galore. Well done!
The book could've used another round of editing to fix the typos here and there, but I thought the story was very well executed! I felt sorry for Cole in the beginning, but soon realized there are two sides to every story, and Mariah's reasons for leaving Cole were made loud and clear. There are surprising developments in every chapter, and the plot twists at the end were shocking! I didn't see them coming at all. :)

What a brilliant horror novel this is!! I love this authors writing!!
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story.
Love the gore and the whole black humor as I call it.
I can't wait to see what the author brings us next!!!
Recommend reading.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

I've read many of Sea Caummisar's books and she does a great job with extreme horror. This story is good, a jilted husband stalks his soon-to-be ex-wife and her new lover, capturing them and subjecting them to pretty intense torture... (I'll just say this: cheese grater). I wasn't the hugest fan of the ending, feeling a little bit like it was a phone-it-in ending but still an interesting story with plenty of gore.

Just when I think it's safe to come out from under the covers, this wonderful author presents her readers with another extreme horror short story. As always her stories are not for the faint-hearted or for those whose stomach's are easily turned. Both of which describes me so I don't know why I keep punishing myself ha ha ha.

The main character is Cole who thinks marriage is until you death to you part , whoever his soon to be ex-wife thinks otherwise. So Cole attempts to convince her and her new boyfriend the error of their ways in a stomach churning, eyes watering, peek though your fingers, sequence of events.

Please remember not read if are under 18 our easily offended.

OK, I brought myself to read it. She warns you that Sea Caummisar has a dark mind. My problem is that she writes these horror stories so well that they suck you right in. In this one it is hard to even decide if you like any of the characters, they all appear to be the cause of the problem. The ending will certainly surprise you. In reading this book I see it in a very scary bloody video, she builds those images. Good read if you can handle horror.

The title 'Til Death Do Us Part' is not to be mistaken for a romance novel. It is a horror with loads of violence. The story is about a deranged husband committing cruel acts. Cole is more than disappointed that his wife, Mariah is not staying true to their wedding vows. Opinions about Cole are formed very early on in the book.

A story that is told from different perspectives at times delivers on gory content and readers are sure to be disgusted. Empathy is developed towards characters when physical trauma is inflicted on them. Despite all the violence, you will want to know what happens next - if you can handle it!

There comes a surprising sigh of relief followed by a twist and the reader is eventually left hanging.

Recommended for the thrill seekers that like to get their adrenaline fix from reading such stories. It is a quick and easy read (if you can get through the horror). The story gets straight to the point and has a seamless flow from one event to the next.

This extreme splatterpunk novella takes you on a twisted and unexpected ride. We’re introduced to Cole as he’s observing his ex, Mariah, outside a party and from our first introduction inside his mind you’re left with the shivers. Cole is absolutely convinced there’s no action he could take with her and her date Kevin that wouldn’t be justified. Readers should be aware: extreme horror situations of every type abound. Author Sea Caummisar crafts a tale that definitely made me read through my fingers in places. This would be an excellent tale for October or any time you’re looking for a good scare. Without delving into spoilers, I found the twists at the end unexpected and clever.

Please excuse typos/name misspellings. Entered on screen reader.

Twisted

This was all top real and happens all over the world. It's good that it is brought to the attention of others. But a great story, loved how it portrayed both sides and the horrendous and gruesome activities. Also the fact that screaming wasn't gone unheard of ignored. The characters were amazing, loved all of them, Mariah and Kevin and how a friendship can turn into something beautiful, or can it? And then the main character Cole, he was fascinating. The way his personality altered and his thoughts changed from one extreme to the other. And not for me like torture and pain. With his imagination anything was possible to use as a weapon, and he certainly showed creativity. Definitely worth a read of you don't mind a lot of blood and torture.

This is another great sick disgusting story that I have learned to expect from this author. The main character, Cole, thinks marriage is until you die, you know, parting only in death. His exwife thinks otherwise and Cole attempts to convince her and her new boyfriend the error of her ways. Not for children. Warped disgusting funny stuff. Not for for those with weak stomachs. If you are easily offended, this is not for you. I really liked it.

Not being into horror, it's hard to know how to evaluate a book of this kind. It's about obsession and someone doing incredibly violent actions. While two of the characters survive, it's hard to see how, given what happened to them. Nor did the one survive to be mentally healthy, which is an interesting twist. Sadly, knowing human nature, this fits into the spectrum of human responses.
The story is well written and, by the best I can evaluate, fits the genre. Fans of blood, gore and obsession should enjoy it.

SPOILERS: Nice quick read. Honestly with Coles character I feel like to add to his rage he should have had some vulgar vocab to match his actions. I feel like some parts would a bit repetitive and once we got closer to the end of the book, it felt rushed. My biggest complaint is the ending. I wish it was real, I HATE that he woke up and none of it happened; however you do get some redemption with the final cliffhanger. I just wished it wasn’t a dream. I will give this author another chance and look into other books they’ve written.

I should have heeded the warning but I just had to read it - it’s the new year and I’m reading horror books by ladies - the more indie the better. This is an indie horror by a lady and it starts out on New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t resist. Well, you should’ve seen the look on my face while I was reading. Pure disgust. There were two specific parts where horrific things happen to sexual organs that I didn’t skip but wish I had. Man, I still feel sick thinking about it. I was warned, though.
Despite being utterly disgusted and disturbed, I read on because I needed to know how it ended. I’m super glad I read until the end and didn’t abandon it because the writer really did some good stuff with this twisted story at the end. I’d give it all the stars but extreme horror really isn’t for me. Again, I should have heeded the warning.

This book was brutal. There was cringing, hissing, grabbing for my nonexistent balls but i made it to the end and what an ending. Just to find out its all a dream! I will admit I’m still very skeptical as to how Kevin was living through the face peeling. And what happened to his voice? I musta missed why he couldn’t scream. Doesn’t matter. Read the book. Its gonna shock the socks off you.

Ouch

Being an avid reader of Sea’s books, I knew what to expect. Dark and as gloriously gory as ever, Sea leaves nothing to the imagination. There were a few moments during the torture scenes that made me wince, but it was enjoyable and a quick read
