Emergency nurse Rachel Walker’s astounded when Dr. Dominic Hadley walks into her hospital. She hasn’t seen him since the tragic breakdown of their shotgun marriage, and she’s not remotely prepared for the electrifying jolt to her heart! Brooding Dominic has an edge Rachel doesn’t recognize, but her body remembers his touch… Bonded inextricably by their past, could it be enough to build a future?
Carol Marinelli was born in England to Scottish parents, then emigrated to Australia, where there are loads of Scottish and English people who did exactly the same, so she’s very at home there.
She lives in the outer suburbs of Melbourne—pretty much in her car, driving her three children to their various commitments.
Carol writes for the Harlequin Presents and Medical lines and she also writes contemporary women's fiction (with a dark twist). When she's not writing she's reading, when she's not reading she's writing.
I always adore Carol's writing- her stories always enthrall and entertain me. I am not normally a fan of medical romances but as I am trying to catch up on all Carol's book, I wanted to try this one. I had already enjoyed 'Tempted by Dr. Morales' and 'Seduced by the Sheikh Surgeon' so I was willing to try another one and I was certainly not disappointed.
This one is really special: very emotional, packing a punch, dealing with adult themes and very sad in places.
I really felt for the young Dominic and Rachel -having to face the tragedy which ended their brief marriage. The story of their meeting up 13 years later and trying to deal with all the unfinished business between them and then finally reach their happy ever after really touched me. Carol writes so beautifully and this story is so tender and emotional. I heartily recommend this one.

Cute , vanilla romance. Nothing special, but a quick read. The whole baby-loss theme was a bit too much for me, I prefer less morbid topics in my romance novels .
