Rick, the ex, surprises them both by accepting the invitation — even though he hasn't yet been able to move on. As the day passes, they discover a little something about themselves, their relationship and the power of forgiveness and thanksgiving. "Invitations" reminds us of the indelible nature of love's memories while also stressing the value of acceptance and the need for letting go.

I feel like this story jumped around so much that I still have no clue what happened. Even if I reread I don’t think I’d understand. I hope someone likes this book.
