This story of waiting for you is about two people with trust issues that find each other on a trip and have to find their ways back to each other. Nicole is a stylist for her best friend and artist Carmela and she is pregnant and on tour. La as they call her started out small and is now married to Jamal head of the company that produces her. Nicole is her best friend and has been since they were younger. Nicole always wanted to be a designer but she basically now designs for her best friend La and gets paid real well. Nicole meets bodyguard Wesley while they were on the bus tour. They get stuck together while they are in this resort where snow fell and Nicole and Wesley have to keep each other warm together on the bus because she and Wesley had gone out and everyone else had stayed at the hotel. They are finally rescued and they go back to the hotel and Wesley thinking that they were going to continue where they left off. He follows inside her room when they get back and they start kissing and she stops him and has an argument with him, comparing him with her former boyfriends. The rest you will have to read, but their is a happily ever after and I read it because I have bought and read other books by
Ja'Nese Dixon. Pretty good read.

When Taking a Risk is Successful -
Nicole had given up on relationships after her recent breakup, but she was still lusting after Bull from afar, ever since she laid eyes on him. However, she never expected Bull to ask her out, as he was always surrounded by beautiful women. Bull felt an inexplicable pull towards Nicole from the moment he met her, so he decided to take a risk of asking her out. Spending time together led to them getting to know each other in and outside the bedroom, but a misunderstanding caused friction between.

Walking away may have been painful for Bull, but he wasn’t prepared to accept anything less than a proper relationship, he nevertheless decided to soldier on. As luck would have it, neither Nicole nor Bull was able to move on happily and finally found their way back to each other and got the happily ever after they deserved. This was an absolutely terrific reading experience, that had my emotions flying all over the place. Take a chance on this book and you won’t be disappointed.

Stubborn. No other way to say it. Nicole who is a up-and-coming designer who is on tour with her best friend is basically all but madly in love with the bodyguard name Bull. They get caught in a snowstorm when the tour bus breaks down and steamy relations occur. But when she realizes it comes to find out that his son is staying with him she literally tears him a new one and rejects every single possible communication that is offered her by him. It’s a very good book. I kind a got confused when it didn’t seem like there was a break between one of you versus the other. so sometimes when you thought was talking it was really bowl and vice versa. But other than that complicated stuff are always an issue in a relationship why do you want to do. Which is why it took so long to maybe get an HEA and no cliffhangers.

Nicole is best friends with R&B singer Carmela who’s close to giving birth Nicole has known Carmela since they were kids and Nicole is her stylist her fashionista. Wesley aka Bull is a bodyguard to Carmela he’s been interested in Nicole from the beginning of the tour she’s quick with her comeback lines and very sassy just the kind of woman he wants but they have been sidestepping each other but Bull’s had enough he’s going to hold her and kiss her. Nicole has had her eyes on Bull since the beginning he’s over 6foot tall full of scrumptious muscles and Nicole wants to run her hands all over them and when Bull kisses her Nicole’s mind goes blank. That’s all I’m going to give you guys this is another fantastic story by Ja’Nese Dixon and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

“Waiting for You” is a short, sweet romance. Bull is in security and Nicki is a stylist. They have known each other for months with Bull admiring her from afar. While Nicki is curious about him, she doesn’t do relationships with men in the entertainment industry. When they have to spend time alone can Bull win her over? I liked this story! I love the way Bull shows how he feels about Nicki through acts of thoughtfulness and concern. Even though the story is short, it covers a few years so their connection isn’t too “insta”. There is an unexpected level of feeling in these few pages, as well as examples of what healthy relationships look like. A short story with a good shot of emotion!

A romance that is not immediately on top when Wesley (Bull) and Nicole meet. But if they get stuck in a bus during a snow storm, they keep each other warm. Wesley has been charmed by Nicole for some time, but she no longer trusts men after all her experiences. If Bull did not say that he has a teenage son that confirmes her ideas about men. Bull goes deep to win her back

I found Nicole's character strong to begin with, but in my eyes she held on to her past and the bad men she had for too long. Bull tries to show her in all ways that she is the one for him. Nice to see that a man dares to open up that way

Bull is the bodyguard for Carmela and Nicole is her fashion designer. Bull is in love with Nicole and wants to show her. Nicole is haunted by her past relationships and refuses to see how good things might be between them.

A short story in the RSE series. A minor character has her chance to shine in this storyline. We have a glimpse into Nicole’s life. The larger than life designer is quite guarded with her feelings but extremely loyal. A cute and lovable story. A good read to curl up on a cold night.

Quiet, reserved, huge, sexy Bull gets his own story, and what a story he gets.
Nicole is a sassy stylist, La's best friend, and totally swooning over the silent giant, but not brave enough to address him. Not that he needs her to, with all his groupies...
Bull is in charge of protecting Carmela, but can't take his eyes of her best friend.
This is a delightful story with a few surprises along the way.
The ups and downs are totally worth it if this Alpha male gets his girl.
Persistent and romantic, he knows what he wants and will wait for as long as it takes.
I absolutely loved the plot and the characters.

Nicki first appeared in Rockstar Savages (Forbidden Chords Book 3). Even as I read Carmela and Jamal's story in Rockstar Savages, I hoped that Nicki would get her own story. Yeah!
Nicki is Carmela's best friend and her stylist, Wesley aka Bull is Carmela's security. Wesley has been interested for Nicki for a while. Nicki having been burned before is determined to keep Wesley at arms length. Can Wesley with help from inclement weather prove to Nicki that they can make their own brand of magic? I enjoyed reading this story.

This is a short,steamy insta love romance between Nicki and Bull. The author does a great job building the sexual tension and steamy passion and moves the story quickly and smoothly. The characters are strong , the story is hot and it's brought to life with her detailed writing and vividly painted scenes. I enjoyed reading their story.

Great story. Bull is a sweetheart, love that he "romances" her even after.....lol. Nicki has a little relationship baggage, which just makes her realistic. She is as stubborn as he is patient. This was perfect timing to me for a short yet thorough, Thanksgiving romance with an added bonus of ways to warm up when it cold outside. Enjoyed it!! I loved this short story...

Waiting for You: A Forbidden Chords Short Story is a wonderful story about two people whose time has come to be together. But Nicole is gunshy because of past relationships. This story is well written and the author has managed to fit so much love and emotion into this short story that it is a really beautiful read.

I recommend this story and I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

This is a short romantic read. Nicki and Bull will draw you in immediately.
Nicki is the stylist for Carmela and Bull is the head of security.
These two are side stepping each other but the chemistry comes off the page.
Both of these people have been burned and trust is an issue.
When Nicki finds out about Bull's secret can she continue with the relationship?

A quick enjoyable read.

Know what you are getting: not a long story but the author does an amazing job of filling in all the gaps so that it is not full of holes while also not rushing too much.

I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters, despite the length of the book, bringing a greater sense of reality to her story.

Waiting for You is the story of Wesley and Nicole. Out on tour, they have caught each other's eye but is holding back not wanting to get hurt.

Not truly understand they whole story or why Nicole is holding back, Wesley waits. Their story is sweet and caring, together they over come their fears to find their happiness together.

We all need a person that will show you how they feel so that you can trust them. That's what Nicki also needed and Bull gave it to her. Even though she tried and fought the attraction, Bull was not like others and it was only a matter of time before she gave in. This is a short story but with lots of feels.

Short & Sweet
