About the author

The picture is me with our “little” dog, Hope. I am an avid dog lover.

Reading and studying the history of the great empires of the world since the dawn of time is one of my interests. I also have been teaching/studying the Bible for nearly 40 years.

After the first of many trips to Israel in 1984, I began studying Jewish history in depth. Next, I started studying the ancient Jewish customs, language, and idioms used in the days of Jesus. I was shocked the amount of knowledge I gained that was not taught to me in Bible college and seminary.

While doing my research to write the End of World series, I was amazed to see the massive numbers of people dwelling in fear of the many different apocalyptic theories that can end the world and humanity. This information is not being taught in most churches today. My discoveries prompted me to write How and When the World Ends, the first book of the five book End of World series. The series sales have exceeded my expectations and three of the five books have become best sellers.

Our dog Hope won the “doggy lottery” for masters because she is at peace with my wife and me. She trusts her life to us for everything – shelter, food, water, and grooming. She responds by being the most loving dog anyone could desire. We respond by loving and caring for her every need. This sounds like the kind of relationship God wants with each of us!

Good place to start

This book gives a solid foundation for learning what is God's timeline and plan for redemption. God's plans are in progress and though this book doesn't say it all, it lays a foundation for study. Always pray as you study that the Holy Spirit will give you eyes to see and ears to hear. I pray that all who seek to know Christ and understand His plans will find great joy and peace while learning what God has planned for those that answer His call through faith in Jesus. Maranatha!

A perfect study

I have made a commitment to God and me to study the book of Revelation. I'm using your books for close examples of what God has and will do. As your aware, Revelation is hard to understand but I feel that believers read your books it will help

More readable than other books I have read

Explains the timeline of end time events as relate to current events. Prophecy has both intrigued and frightened me; this book helped me find peace that God is taking care of His children but woe to unbelievers. It is time to pray and witness about Jesus and His sure return

Mr. Barstow encapsulates things brilliantly. As one who has heard and read many end times theories and books, he is spot on. And his explaining what the Jewish people, (As Jesus was a Jew) in Jesus Christs time believed, explains some things I had never heard before. And I've been looking into this since Hal Lindsays "The Late great Planer Earth" back in 1980. Most of all, in this book he has made it clear what many Born again Christians believe piece by piece. And he states, If I expand on this it would be hundreds of pages....and that the intent of the book is to succinctly spell it out. Personally, I've started the second book. In that he suggests reading this, the first book to start with. Even though it is 90? pages it was tiring. Because it really did cram it all in there without going into the tribulation. Seek Jesus Christ and get saved if you haven't already as the juggernaut is gathering speed and intensity. Maranatha X 3. Amen.

Great Job

This is a wonderfully written book that really made me think about the future according to God. It made me more aware to faithful to tell others about Jesus and the soon coming rapture. Praise be to Jesus for the precious blood He shed to redeem me. I highly recommend this book to everyone who will stop and take the time to read it!

Look up! Look at the Signs

Earl Bristow does a wonderful job of breaking down passages in the Bible to help us understand what we should be looking for, and its not always what you may have imagined. He gives good reasons and Bible verses to explain how we seem to be in the end times before the Rapture. It will give you new insight into questions you may have asked yourself!

Pre-Tribulation Rapture

My heading is probably the deciding factor on if a a believer will read this book. I believe the author is as correct as someone cam be regarding the topic and even if he is wrong, I didn't find anything completely unscripitual.

A Must Read for Christian and non-Christians

I really enjoyed this book, it certainly gave me some food for thought.

I see the condition the world is in, and am a Christain who believes that things are going in the direction of the return of Jesus to earth. I see in reading that many of these thing have already come to pass and we hear a d see how our new leaders want unity, one world government and religion.

Short, but more detailed than anything out there, as author is studied up on ancient languages, history and Jesus' Jewish background. He has visited Israel numerous times. The latest in this series are the 2 volumes about how the USA figures into End Times prophecies.

I've been reading books on prophecy (eschatology) for 40 years and finishing this book at 3 AM today, I realized that this was the greatest single volume I've ever read on the subject. It is also probably the single best book other than scripture that I've read EVER (and I've usually read at least one book a week all my life - just finished my 724th book on my nearly 6 year old Kindle). Don't really know much about the author (I plan on contacting him shortly) but he is incredibly gifted and quotes and/or cites nearly everyone for whom I have great respect. If there's one book that you read this year - make it this one! I'll be starting the rest of his books tonight
