CRIMELLA cozy rom mystery

The prettiest villages make the best hiding places, and Nettleacre is hiding more than most.

Anna Wilde has created an unusual refuge for frightened locals: leave a note in the letterbox of her grand Sussex home, and she and her two closest friends investigate the crimes Nettleacre prefers to ignore. It's an unlikely partnership — glamour, magic, and old-fashioned police work — but it works.

Until the notes begin pointing to women who have vanished.

Women who are lonely, vulnerable, and far too easy for the village to overlook. Soon, the trail leads Anna, Lily, and Sadie to a respected local with something to hide, and to two new arrivals with dangerous pasts: one a charming stranger with a killer’s past, the other a crime boss in witness protection looking for redemption.

This is bigger than three women and a letterbox. As the case draws in a secret Mayfair crime unit and entities from the skies above, the three women must learn who to trust among the living, the dead, and everything in between.

Because if they fail, Nettleacre will add another missing woman to its list of secrets.

Jo lived with two little dogs, Muttley and Tom, a kitten called Vinnie, and a lady called Mary.
One day, Tom is very sad because he has two friends called Colin and Zippy, and Zippy has passed away. Tom is sad because, apart from missing Zippy, he doesn’t know how to help Colin. Jo, being older and wiser than Tom, gives him some advice.
When we lose someone we love, it starts a difficult time. We miss them, we are sad, we cry, etc. We need time to accept that they are not here anymore, and the pain lessens with time.
This book is a gem for explaining to children about losing someone they love. I loved this series because it explains things easily, so children can understand some difficult matters.

This was an excellent story that is intended to teach children about dealing with grief. The characters are animals who are mourning the death of their friend Zippy. It is sweet story. It has sadness but not too much. Children in my opinion, won't be upset by their grief but will like the lessons the friends learn.
The illustrations are beautiful. They are bright and really colorfully. The animals burst off the page in awesome color.
