It might not be conventional, it might not even be normal, but it's exactly what Clover wants. She refuses to choose. She doesn't want just one. She wants them all. But when her parents and the band's fans find out about her unconventional relationship, what will her and her four celebrity boyfriends do? Can their love win against the hate or will it all fall apart?
Hanleigh is a USA Today Bestselling Author and is about as English as it's possible to be, without actually being English.
She first fell in love with books as a child reading Dr Seuss, but moved onto romance when she first read Pride and Prejudice at the age of twelve. She wishes she could live inside the world inside her mind, but since that isn't possible she puts pen to paper and shares that world with her readers instead.
Trouble is brewing for Clover and her four men but that was anticipated. I really like how her brother, Creed, sets about solving the problems. Every girl should have a sibling that self-sacrificing. 💚 Add to that, I love how the guys finally give into their affections and let go of the jealousy. I also love how they made sure to put Clover's needs above their own in other ways. Sure, it's steamy 🔥🔥 but that's not all that's going on.
Of course, Creed has his own situation developing. I haven't looked yet but I hope there is a conclusion to the triangle. Maybe dropping the reverse part of RH? 🤷🏻♀️😉
I said this in my audio review for the prior installment to this series, I like Susan Greenway but I would really have preferred that a male narrator were also part of this as there are numerous male counterparts with their own POVs.
This is the third book in the series. Yes, the Lust & Lyrics series should be read or listened to in order. They are not standalone. 😊📚
Less than Conventional by Hanleigh Bradley is a contemporary rockstar reverse harem that I listened to on audio narrated by Susan Greenway. This is the third and final book in the Lust & Lyrics series.
Hanleigh did a great job wrapping up Clover’s story. I absolutely loved that we got points of views from all the characters. It really brings the story to life. I really hope there will be a spin-off series so we can get Creed’s story. The bit we got in this book left me with so many questions.
Susan did an amazing job on the narration. I absolutely love her voice!
I would recommend this book if you like contemporary romance, rockstar romance, or reverse harems.
I loved Clover's story so much. Over the three books we really got to meet her and love her and root for her and the guys to get together. With romance and drama this series was perfect to devour. I highly recommend giving all the books a read because the ending is so perfect.
I think this is my favorite series by Bradley so far and while this is book 3 and I think this may be the end of the series I am still so thirty for more and have questions about how Creed is going to work things out for himself. I absolutely LOVE the narration. I could listen to Greenway read just about anything and Bradley does a wonderful job in this read with the multi character view points with out being repetitive. I also love the character growth of the bandmates and their ability to be accepting and overcome the jealousy that seemed to plaque them. Definitely a book that will be better when series is read in order and I highly recommend it if you enjoy reverse harem romance reads with storyline and steam. Great characters that have their own unique personalities and interact will - just a wonderful romance.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. *this review is based on the audio version of this read
The end of the Lust and Lyrics trilogy is a wonderful book for Clover and her harem of men. Nash, Rigby, Jet and Ziggy learned that being with Clover meant a fair amount of emotional sacrifice on their parts. There was no room for jealousy, although I have to admit that being privy to their inner jealous snits was giggle-inducing. When Clover's dream job was offered, they banded together to make sure she didn't pass up the opportunity. On the other hand, Creed's issues were hard to tolerate. I don't know how he turned so wimpy that he couldn't be honest with himself and straight with both Nona and Crimson. He let me down as he shoved a wedge between the two friends because he didn't man up and make up his mind. The rest of the story was enjoyable and left me with a big smile on my face. Susan Greenway did a wonderful job with the narration. She had a tough job doing so many male voices all the same age, same profession and all speaking at once, and she did it exceedingly well!
I received this story as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Warning; there could be triggers for some as this is a reverse harem with 1 female and her 4 men.
***spoilers*** This is the final story in a trilogy about Clover and the four guys from her brothers band. After some drama, jealously and blowback from Clovers parents, the group finally get to have a life together without having to hide their relationship or their feelings from others.
I thought the author tied the story up pretty nicely. I look forward to Creed's story.
For the price its way too short. I liked the storyline, but each book was way too short and a lot of the chapters were only lyrics. I read all 3 as a box set. Liked all the main characters. Would have liked to seen Creed's secondary storyline resolved. Wish this was on Kindle unlimited so I didn't have to pay for it out right. Might give this author another try as I did like the sweet guy main characters and ( spoiler) the opening story about the twin taking her twin's spot- its very cute.
This book had more meat to it and we get a resolution of the story. Though I feel that there is more that I want to know. The characters are endearing and I enjoy their dynamic. I also think that there is a story there for her brother. The steamy scenes were much more detailed this time. There are group scenes too. Multiple POVS. I'm glad that they figured it out and how to be together.
This book is certainly less than conventional, whole series was. Not because it’s RH. but because of its unique style, between typical book and songs’ lyrics. Sometimes lyrics tell it all even better than the chapter does. It was way too quick to read and I would wish it was way longer, gone deeper, said more. But it was still good as it was. And hey, now Creed needs a book of his own 😁
Perfect happy ever after ending. I was a little frustrated throughout the series by the characters hemming and hawing about their relationships. But finally clover and her brother made their decisions. Clover got her happily ever after. I wonder if they’ll be another book for Creed. Definitely recommend the series it’s great as an audiobook.
This book really is pretty awesome and I love this a lot. I do wish we would get more and that this series will be released as boxset if that hasn't happened yet. The story would be even better. What I enjoyed though is it has multiple POV which I enjoyed and the group scenes. I'm happy with the ending and how they figured it out.
You know I like this book/series at first but then this took a hard swing toward gross. I love reverse harems, brothers best friends, and rock band romances, so this should have been a swing in the park. at first I wasn't a fan of the secret sleeping with the band and not telling the others about it but I think I could have moved on from that since that part of the story line was over pretty quickly. However once they all started to date ughhhhhhhh. The guys are just waiting for her to pick one of them and saying shitty shit about the fact that she cant and wont. Honestly this feels far more like a cheating/ triangle (but with 5) book than a reverse harem. The jealousy and things they say to her and treat the harem is just kind of gross. The ending of the series wasn't awful I guess...
It might not be conventional - but who cares! If you love someone, go for it. It was a nice ending of this serie. All the characters were likeable and well described. I liked their different personalities. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
Sweet ending to a fun series. I really enjoyed the journey shown throughout all three books but this nicely wrapped the story up. This is well written with very likable characters. I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
The story was an easy flowing story, time slipped by without even realising I had just finished a book, and was onto the next one in the series in a blink of an eye, the characters are all awesome and so easy to picture.
Everything wraps up a bit too perfectly, but overall I did like how initially they all reacted realistically. I think my favourite 📖book was the first one, even though it ended abruptly. The whole series could easily be one 📖book though. Wheels10
This was a good read, short books but there are 3 of them. It's worth the read if you like the "Gender-Bender" AKA "Undercover Female" books. I did enjoy this read. Reverse harem - medium burn.
After deciding to try for this less than conventional relationship, Clover and the band navigate their way through jealousy and secrecy, until they’re exposed, and have to decide if this is all worth fighting for. A pretty quick read, we get all the different perspectives as each one of them works through their feelings, including peeks into Clover’s brother Creed, and his caught between two women emotions. The characters feel realistic in their thoughts and actions, as they decide what they will do for love. A good conclusion to the series.
I just finished, and Hanleigh definitely had me hooked again. Clover really can’t choose between Ziggy, Nash, Rigby and Jett. Also, her twin Creed has love for both Nona and Crimson. It is interesting how this all played out. I look forward to reading more.
This is book 3 in the lust and lyrics series. Hanleigh really knows how to pull you in. This is a fantastic read. I've loved this series from the start. How do you choose between 4 men your in love with equally simple you don't you have them all and hope for the best. Clover is in love with Rigby, Jet, Nash and Ziggy. Time will tell, it dont bode well with her parents but will it their fans. This again has plenty to grip your teeth into with lol moments and hot steamy five some's that will leave you well, leave you wanting more
