As a beekeeper, people ask me how they can help bees and I always tell them to plant pollen and nectar rich plants in their gardens. The Haynes beekeeping book is often recommended to new beekeepers and now there is this companion guide.
This book looks at the commonest bee species of solitary and bumblebees, their habits and favourite plants. In addion there are other plants useful to many pollinating insects with planting tips and a handy table at the back showing plants, flowering times so you can ensure forage all season long and target species.
A must for beekeepers and gardeners alike

I didn’t think much about this book that I picked up at the main library in Canton Georgia. I wonder how and why this book was chosen for because nothing inside has to do with North America. I recall it was poorly written to top it off.
