More monster girls. More branding. More world conquering. After their first victory over the vile slavers that control Etria, William and his harem turn to the heart of the barony to seek allies. But when William finds out that the baroness has turned savage, it's up to him and his brand to stop her. Now, he's going to do what he does best, kick ass and save monster girls. And hey, if that means he'll have to face the Queen Bee herself, well, that's what a magical branding iron is for, now isn't it? Get ready to get slaved.
I'm oddly invested in this story In Unchained book 2 the harem element gets dialed down. That happens with quite a few harem series. Sometimes this can feel like a bait and switch, but when the story and the characters are engaging like this is, I don't mind at all and I can sometimes prefer it. That's not to say that there is no sex at all, but that the sex becomes secondary or even inconsequential to the larger story and the sex scenes seem like check points you have to reach to advance the story that you're more interested in that the sex. In Unchained intimacy and relationship drive the character development. The sex is just a part of that, but not the end goal. So, there are power ups, and level ups and the adventure continues and much is revealed about the background of our heroic party. They persevere wile giving a damn about the innocents between them and their ultimate goal, taking more names than kicking asses. Despite the lackluster world building and some of the by the numbers action, I find myself caring what happens to these people a bit more than I think this book might otherwise warrant. And yet I think I might be more invested than other books who's characters don't matter as much to me or each other.
The name of The game is power and allies if you want to overthrow and free the land from an entrenched evil enslavement. This book is a progression in that need. The MC learns more about his heratige and the power it brings as well as now allies of he can convince them. Good fun and light exciting reading. Looking forward to more.
MC's divinity doesn't well with me. It some how makes him more special and less at the same time. Dryad got very little "screentime" and had quite a lesser role in thia book while having important role. But it was okay sequel. I liked it the end. Still wished that preformer would switch when Character changes in stead of a chapter change

Truly an epic work of fantasy! This is one of the authors incredible series you would do yourself a grave disservice if you didn't pick one or all of them up. You will find hours of joy in the characters and stories within!
Really appreciate the growth of the main character in this book, it really helps propel the story and entices the reader to find out more. Really looking forward to the next one.
Continuing the adventure our intrepid hero overcomes great obstacles, freed enslaved peoples, rescued distressed damsels and adventures on with no need to danger. On to book three to see if he succeeds.
An 9hr long audiobook. I will admit there are a few things in the story I hate, but overall this is a fairly good story. The ending was in my opinion was kind of a give away to what is going to happen in the next book, but that is not a bad thing either.
Easy to follow and excellent plot i couldnt stop reading...cant wIt for the next one....both previous books were excellent...thanks keep up the good work
At very enjoyable storyline! Will developed characters and an awesome story unfolding! Hard to put down once the book is begun! Hopefully many more to come
Just as good as the last one. The action is nonstop and the relationships between the characters just makes everything better. I can’t wait for the next book.
