Heavy is the head that wears the crown. . . especially in the fae realm.

My name is Eden Blaive. High Queen of the Fae Kingdoms, specifically the Elven Kingdom of Kilora. That’s been my title for a week, anyway. I may have a sexy Adonis for my king, but being queen isn’t all ribbon cuttings and baby-kissing.

War is no longer on our doorstep. Instead—it’s pounding right against our walls with a fury behind its fist.

When Nija pulled her people from mine and Rowan’s Kingdom, she basically declared war. Now we're forced to come up with a plan—And Fenris, my long-lost biological father—is the key to my plan working. The only problem is, he hates Rowan, and I’m not sure he can see past that.

My chances of failing are insurmountable, and the longer I keep moving forward, the more sh*t begins to take a turn for the worse.

The truth is, I’m scared. Scared to change. Scared for Rowan to change. Scared for anything to change. But the reality is . . . you can’t fight fate.

And everything changes eventually—including love.

Scroll up now to ONE CLICK The final installment in this sexy, dark fae romance trilogy!

I loved it

What a superb ending to what has been an amassing series. This is one you don’t want to miss, it’s full of fighting for what’s right, love, hate, with much going on during war time. I loved these characters, they were all unique, relatable, fun getting to know and I loved them all.

Too predictable

I skipped over the majority of it. The fight scenes
unbelievably pathetic. She never had any self preservation in any of the stories. She constantly had a feel sorry for me attitude. She was self centered
or Rowan centered that it made me wanna puke.
I was totally pissed how she handled Fenris who
was entirely without fault for his feelings and reservations. Yet he never fails to provide the aid
they brow beat into him. I was disappointed on the fact that she had no idea
how to fight any of her enemies. And infuriated
that she once again became a door mat when Rowan
betrayed her repeatedly. I prefer female characters
to be strong in mind and body and be able to kick butt.
I was hoping for more scenes about the birthing.

Last book of the series, and a good conclusion!

In this book we expand outside Rowan's kingdom into a war with the demons, led by the lovely (yeah right) Nija.

Eden's father kind of annoyed me, as did many other characters. Ava is wayyyyyy too enthusiastic, but that's what you get from younger siblings, right?

I'm not going to write too much about this book, as if you think it sounds interesting, you need to go back to book 1.

This is the final book in the Battle for the Dark King series. War is at Kilora’s doorstep and they must prepare. They have lost some allies to the demon queen, Nija. One thing that could turn the tide in their favor, Eden’s father and the rest of the empaths that are in hiding. But can they trust the new king with their lives?

I wish I could have given this book a higher rating. I just spent so much of the book hating the MFC that I just couldn’t. Most of the time, she was a bitch to everyone around her, and I simply couldn’t understand why. Her reasons made no sense. And don’t even try to blame it on pregnancy hormones. I also got to the point where I lost respect for the King, Rowan. Even factoring in the mate bond with Eden, his behavior at times was not very regal, especially for someone raised for that life. I don’t know about you, but I have a problem with someone in authority, or with the power of a king, who cannot keep control of their emotions.

You would think being new to her powers, and fairie in general, that she would make her training a priority. But nope. Then when she’s faced with a situation where that training would have come in handy, she bemoans the fact that she should have paid attention. I just found her emotions all over the place, but couldn’t make any sense of them. And when you spend the majority of a book hating one of the main characters, it’s not good.

I liked the overarching storyline and the secondary characters. I’d love a book about Benjamin and some of the royalty of the other kingdoms. While I couldn’t wholeheartedly recommend this series, I didn’t absolutely hate it. I would say that if you have a bunch of books in your “to read” pile, maybe prioritize this one in the middle somewhere.

Like all good fantasy novels and I would place this square into fantasy rather than the romance category it was found in, there is a war between two kingdoms.

Now that Eden the Witch and Rowan the Elven King have wed, their first test will be to protect the rest of the Kingdoms from the pissed off Demon Queen Nija. Nija was a previous contestant in the Devotion Trials who tried and failed to kill off Eden in the trials, usurp Eden’s victory to wed Rowan, had her kidnapped during the Faewild Hunt, and in the end went back to the Demonlands and murdered her own parents to take the Demon crown. Whew, Nija needed a hug as a child!

There’s always been bad blood between the Demons and everybody else in this universe apparently. We already know that Rowan is half demon himself but very carefully keeps that part of his lineage at bay - everyone knows it because his demon mother was Queen of the Elven kingdom. We also find out what exactly happened to both Rowan’s mother and Eden’s mother. It is a mind opening truth - and while the reader had been given the start of this sad backstory in book 2, the full truth is delivered here. The story makes the reader feel complete along with Eden as she learns the full truth of what’s going on.

Eden is kidnapped for the first part of this book and when she returns she is more than ready to fight for her new people. The battle comes sooner rather than later. To fight against the enemy, Eden needs to bring all her powers to bear, all of them, even the hidden power she and Rowan share that could get her killed simply because she has it. This moment is both satisfying and inspiring. When looking into the face of defeat, the reader wants their heroine to really rally to the point where they snatch victory and this moment delivers.

In the end, a long exiled group comes to help and Eden and Rowan are victorious. The actual interaction between these two characters as husband and wife, lovers, and beings in general is great. They develop so well and have terrific moments where they’re loving, hateful, angry, sad, and support each other. It is a far cry from how they first interacted with each other in book one. The reader cares about these characters and roots for them in the end.

I read this using my Kindle Unlimited subscription. All opinions are my own.

BLURB: A dark fae king, three deadly trials and a forbidden passion that could destroy everything....

A sexy new series perfect for fans of: Half-Blood Academy, Bound to the Battle God and Stolen by the Fae King!

Fae exist only in children’s stories, or so I thought. That was before a nightmarish creature of the Fae Realm dropped into my life. He claimed a seven-pointed mark on my skin signified my magical lineage, the bit of DNA my mother passed down. Days after I arrive in the Fae Realm, I’m thrown into a series of trials titled ‘The Devotion’. I must compete with demons, vampires, elves and more who want to claim their place at the future King’s side. I have no interest in this guy, but it doesn’t help that the King-to-be is a gorgeous, brooding fae. He’s dominant, commanding and everything I shouldn’t want. But the longer I’m here, the more I’m questioning everything - including my own heart.

It was another simple and predictable book but I’m not complaining because it was just what I was in the mood for.

I knew she was pregnant right away with the irritability, sleepy, hungry… basically all the signs were there. How her husband didn’t know especially when she kept saying she was already showing due to the faster gestation period the fae have. Oh well.

Then the storyline of going to find her biological father again to ask for his help in the war against the demons only for him to turn them away. It felt obvious that he would come save the day at the end of the book, I was just expecting him to die but getting his home back was a nice twist even though it would have to be a very perfect world. His people were all but destroyed besides for those who went into hiding yet were made to believe everything will be okay and people will welcome them… 🤷‍♀️

Her witch teacher who sexually assaulted her in book one was able to redeem himself before dying, and we find out how much the demon queen was controlling him and for how long. I actually still can’t get over how the king had to have sex with her almost nightly 🤢🤮 I know he did it for his kingdom but man there should have been another way!

Anyway her human father gets his happy ending finding out he married one of the fae queens weeks age, her sister stepped down as the queen of the witches to be with the man she loved.

Everything basically is wrapped up very nicely. It was simple but interesting enough to keep going and the spice was a lot of fun, honestly if there was zero spice I might not of finished it 😆

>Book Review – One Savage Crown
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 3rd in the Battle for the Dark King series and ends in an HEA. Rowan and Eden are now married, causing a war with the demons. Both Rowan and Eden have scenes in which they are really nasty to each other and those around them. They almost seemed to be manic-depressive, not romantic. A quest to recruit Rowan’s dad is a main adventure in this book, with Eden discovering she is pregnant.
>The battles are exciting, but the relationship between Rowan and Eden was still odd. They still refer to Rowan’s relationship with the demon as a business transaction, killing their own romance. The HEA with Ava and Tom was fun to see.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. As a whole, the series was worth the read.

Well, i must say that I liked the whole series. All 3 books were very nicely written. I loved the smut scenes, they were perfect. Pregnancy surprised me, I knew that she was pregnant before they even mentioned it. Halo, the vomiting and tiredness?!
Even I knew from the beginning how it’s gonna end, I liked that it wasn’t all that predictable. Like Scott, my heart broke for him when we got to know the truth. I like that the main heroine wasn’t stupid naive girl and that included her sister, too.
When it comes to Nija, I liked her too, she was cunning and evil. And the whole sucubbus thing was really good. Mb she was twisted, but she had always “good” plans.
I loved Rowan from the moment he showed up. I could feel the whole chemistry between him and Eden. It was really hot at the beginning the whole garden scene in first book. And then it escalated. Anw, I give the book 5/5⭐️ 😊.

Great ending!

This installment was the perfect ending to the series!

Rowan and Eden finally get married! The demons have come for blood! And the Empaths have a chance to come back!

Full of action, sexy scenes, and surprises! It has been nice to see the development of the characters throughout this series. Eden has become an amazing witch/fae/empath, often surprising us with her inner strength. Rowan while always the strong leader is found to have a soft side for his lover. And Azrael who goes from warrior loyal only to the king becomes a friend to Eden as well.

Never a dull moment, I would recommend this to any fantasy romance fan!

Okay read

Well all done...I did enjoy the storyline of this series, but all said and done (in my opinion)I think it had the potential of been better! I felt that Eden was a little week considering that she has been looking after her sister and father all her life, and being half witch and Elven . Her sister Ava (half human and witch) had more strength and seemed to be able to adapt to her powers more quicker and better than Edan! Just felt that all the main characters could of been a little more dominant and stronger.

I really have a hard time giving star ratings. I never know for certain which one I should push. As I said with the other book, you can tell the author is either a young person or an inexperienced writer with great potential. The main character really started getting on my nerves in this book. EXTREMELY immature. And I can't tell exactly why all of the supporting characters voices started to blend, but I really didn't care for this book as much as the others. I was very glad that the series finally ended.

Absolutely a Series to read

Never just go by on what a few people say on the Reviews. Read it and see if The book catches your interest. The cover of the first book drew me in. I started reading and got hooked. The main characters alone are simply amazing. The Delicious romance that Develops between them wants you reading more. I hated Rowan at first then I loved him. I recommend this series to people carving a Steamy Fantasy romance with a great storyline.

Good Read

Still a unique story that could be more but is too short and now our main character is pathetically weak. I was disappointed in that because she started off so strong in the first book. Ok fighting scenes, romance, unpredictable in some areas and found no proofing errors in this last book.
Hope the author remakes these books because the story is unique and just needs some polishing, more detail, longer length and make the main character more.

A Fantastic Story!!!!!

The storyline is extremely good and very intriguing. It is full of suspense with so many twists and turns throughout it. I loved how Eden and Rowan have grown in the third book. They have so many challenges throughout the story that it adds a fantastic element to it. The editing could have been a bit better as I saw several grammatical errors. Otherwise it is an outstanding story and series that should definitely be read.

Disappointing read. Honestly I read the rest of the book purely because of the beginning of the series. Eden is so overly emotional and whiny. As well, she succeeds every single time when making speeches, but in reality her speeches kind of suck. They’re very dry and wouldn’t get that kind of reaction. Also fuck her for her pregnant bullshit. Glad Ava called her out when she told her and not her own husband.

King Rowan, and newly queened Eden and their entire kingdom are under siege by dark forces. They need more allies but the search proves to be more dangerous. Dodging demons, and once trusted advisors Rowan and Eden need more bodies for their army and the outcasted empaths are just what they need. they are in a race against time and Eden gets a huge surprise that makes her fight even harder to protect what's hers.

Savage is very accurate for this book. The battles were intense and savage in every scene. This conclusion to the series was by far my favorite. The author kept me on my toes the whole time. It was exciting and a page turner. I would recommend it to anyone who was a fan of reading about the fae. Especially, handsome fae princes who become kings.

Life

XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. Life, young and old, is precious. It is worth fighting for and ironically it is worth dying for. However, a life without senseless war is a much better life to live than with a constant threat of life knocking at your door. Will Ella see that in her new world? Can she handle this new life she must protect?

Good

Well this was a good book lots of action... Eden grew alot from the books... She was still somewhat immature but not as much as the first few books. i felt like she should have been a teenager, her sister who was the teenager made more adult decisions than she did! And seemed to understand things in a more mature way. Im glad the series is over.

Good read

This series started off well. I really enjoyed the first book and found the storyline unique and interesting but as the series continued, I soon lost interest as it felt the story was going round in circles. I believe this book would have been better as a duet, omitting all the extra “fluff” and streamlining the storyline.

Most meh in the series…

I really really liked this series, until the last book. The word choices, using things like “9 to 5” while talking to the kingdom, and so many pet names (babe, sweetie, baby, etc) between everyone, totally brought it down IMO. The kicker was “birth gunk”, as a mom I cringed so hard at that.

A good ending

There were reveals of what happened in one of the previous books that brings light to a character's arc which was enjoyable. There was a point that I thought all was lost, but in an unexpected way everyone came through. Feels like a good ending to what was a neverending conflict.

Impressive

I absolutely loved this series. It was intense and harrowing. I couldn’t get enough and read it in one sitting. I liked the King he is an amazing character. Eden was impressive even with her lack of knowledge. I hope the author writes more of these types of books.
