VOLATILE UNDER PRESSURE. HANDLE WITH CARE.

The death of Chicago's Northside alpha is the kind of thing Sapphira has to cover up every day. But before she can calm the brewing discord in the city's supernatural community, another body drops into her lap—or more specifically, the lap of her best friend, Jenkins. When the only neutral territory in the city starts racking up a body count, it’s never a good thing. Especially when her ex-boyfriend is still trying to kill her and a creepy new ghost with an ancient book won't leave her alone.

Just another day in the life of the blue-eyed bomb—whose lies are about to bite her in the ass.

4.5 stars rounded up. All the snark that's the hallmark of Natusch's work is very evident again in this the fourth installment of her Blue Eyed Bomb series. I admit that it took me a bit to get into this one at first, but when I did it didn't disappoint in any way. Sapphira is just as spunky, as well as stubborn, as always. Stubborn because she does manage to do the one thing that anyone in charge(usually her father-Sean from The Caged series)asks her not to do. It generally causes major problems and she seems to stay in trouble. Sometimes I just wanted her to behave! But then, we wouldn't have such a good story. TS is of course along for the ride and we get big answers about his past and other major information is revealed as well. As far as what actually happens in the story, I'm not giving any of that away other than to say that it involves a werewolf war that is brewing in the city. Of course, that's not all that's involved.

The werewolf, Jenkins is back and is bff's with Sapphira. I'm really loving Jenkins as a character and honestly I was to the point that I wouldn't mind if Sapphira and Jenkins were to get together. He's pretty great. I do like TS and maybe after this book he will be more open about himself in the future. The best part of the characters this time was Ruby from the author's Caged series showing up along with Sean, Sapphira's parents. Always good to catch up a bit with a favorite character from a finished series.

I'm really looking forward to reading the next book as this one was quite the cliffhanger. I highly recommend this series to all adult urban fantasy/paranormal romance readers. It's a good idea to start with book one because each book is part of a story arc that started with book one.

This author will always draw me in! Even with drama that I always try to avoid!

Phira is of course a hot mess as usual. She really seems to dig herself into a huge hole this time around but it makes her more “human” to those she loves. What she thought made her weak makes everyone else understand her better.

Her emotions made me feel for her. Really and truly. She makes decisions she knows she’ll regret yet she can’t stop from doing it all the same. All the lies she has built up come down to crush her but I think it’ll make her grow in the end and also teach the PC to stop keeping things from her.

I love her relationship with Jenks. It really does seem like Cooper and Ruby, just better developed in my opinion. He is definitely a favorite of mine!

While I feel like there was very little Gabe, the way it ended leads me to believe there is about to be a ton more of him. With that ending there just has to be.

Chicago seems to be coming apart at the seems with the two wolf factions fighting amongst themselves. Everything Sapphira does seems to make it worse. Especially when Jenkins is thrown into the middle of it. That's not her only problem though. They are piling up, as are the lies she is forced to tell the people she loves. Some of them how ever will have horrible consequences and may just cost her everything, before she even gets to have it. Action-packed, thrilling and unpredictable! You will definitely regret skipping this one! Ts might just have a few problems of his own! Loved every minute of it ❤

Nyx for the win....ish

There are sooo many characters to love...and hate...in this book/series. Enter Gabe...good-ish-guy-turned-bad-phira-hater.....to rock not only Phira’s world in a bad way but the PC’s world too. I can’t wait to see what Nyx has in store for these jerks. If Nyx and Scarlet could team up my wish would have been fulfilled....just sayin. LOVE this series. Don’t miss it.

Read this book!

I don't even know where to start... Phira, Phira, Phira.... The tangled web she's gotten herself into may just be the death of her, or those she loves. This was one wicked ride of a book, with so many emotions! And TS! Oh man. You NEED to read this book. Just make sure you grab some tissues and an emotional support drink or chocolate to help you cope with the emotions.

She's done it again!

After months of being too busy to pick up a book this is the first one I dug into. Phira and Nyx definitely lived up to their reputation in big ways. I also had forgotten how much I missed Jenks. That cliffhanger though... I'm shook. And now see myself having a HUGE book hangover, as usual when it comes to this author's work. I've been a big fan since Caged and definitely don't ever see myself being at all underwhelmed by her work.

This series is definitely one of a kind in its own way, I didn’t like book 2 as after book 1 I fell inlove with gabe but here we are and literally feeling everything sapphira is feeling. She’s grown on me more and more as the books have gone by and I love the twists and curveballs the author (amber) has brought to this incredible series.
One thing about this series is it’s definitely not boring
It’s addicting and binge worthy

Best in the series yet!

Omg! I just finished this. Amazing! I list count of the times I had to clean my glasses because Phira had me crying. I think this was my favorite in the series so far. Can't wait to see what happens next! I hope we get to see a little more of Cooper, Ruby and Scarlett. I'd love to see Nyx and Scarlett take down some bad guys together!

Love!

This series has drawn me. I started with Caged series and loved the whole of it. Getting more of the same world us such a reward. I love Phira and all her crazy choices defending the ones she loves. Its great seeing a new and fresh way of doing a paranormal series. I cannot wait for the next installment and I hope there are many more to come.

This is the book of answers, well kinda. We do get many answers behind what is going on in Chicago, what is going on with TS & many lies are revealed in this book. The war in Chicago is coming to a head & Phira has a lot to deal with.

This book will give you so many feels & will likely leaving you a blubbering mess, it definitely did for me. I definitely confused my kid yesterday with why mommy was crying while reading. Then you get the cliffy that we are left with & I need answers so bad. Phira really grows in this book, owning up to everything that has happened previously, but went undiscussed. I know the final book will be taking us for a ride & I can't wait to read it.

Again, this series is a part of the Caged World, there is some character crossover but you do not need to read the Caged Series first.

Loved this book!! All of the usual snark and humor but also ALL. OF. THE. FEELS!!! I could not put it down. Literally. I read the whole thing in a few hours. So good!

Favorite Quote:
“Then what’s your plan? Because waiting for a shit-ton of juiced-up werewolves to come and kill you seems shitty, even by your standards.”
He shot me a sly smile. “Which are still better than yours.”
“Not the time for your sarcasm, Jenks. Not the fucking time.”
