While the stories told paint the BSB in a mostly positive light, I just can't get over an ex-girlfriend cashing in by writing this book. I just find it distasteful, no matter how nice the book is. That said, I did like that it was in Q&A format, answering popular questions asked by the fans. It told people what they wanted to know and she did answer in ways that respected the BSB and some of their privacy. A quick and sometimes amusing read for die-hard fans who might want a look back at the BSB in their early days.

This was actually really sweet. It's written in an interview format, and I was expecting it to be kind of like:

'Did you know??? That underneath their clothes??? The backstreet boys are naked?!?!?'

😆

But really, it's a very genuine and sometimes quite thoughtful retrospective of a relationship.

She's got a very mature outlook on it, doesn't scandalize it too much, but is still honest.

PS.

I got this book to see if Siberia, one of Brian's favorite songs, was autobiographical. It isn't about Sam directly, but the ones that are written about her are, like, less mature versions of what that song is conveying.

Breaking up was definitely the right thing to do. Hope she's out there living her best life.

Obviously meant for teens, so I probably would have enjoyed this more when it came out. I did like that is a question and answer format although I think some of them could have been omitted because it seemed repetitive. While, I am glad that this wasn't a horrible tell all, you could tell she wasn't happy with who he was dating at the time of the book (which I am going to guess is his wife now). She seemed kind of bitter but hey, who isn't at times towards their ex. Worth a read if you are a BSB fan and want to see how someone outside the inner circle saw things in the early days.

Very short and quick read. Those boys were so cute! Too bad it's too late to get to any of them, what with all but Nick married. lol Oh well. It's a cute book and I honestly don't remember her saying anything bad about any of the boys, more about their management.
