That was So cute.. it's just a simple story of a guy liking a girl just to tell her he likes her in the end, and I'm sooo in the mood for that :D
So the story is about Jake and Jules, Jules has been dumped and doesn't like boys now, and Jake never had a girlfriend but he is the hottest guy in school, they become partners in math class and the story picks up from there
it's so so short but so cute

Not the worst book I´ve read in 2020 but definitely not the best. It was an okay read, the characters had some development but were mostly shallow. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something super easy to read while in a book slump.

Sweet sweet

I really enjoyed reading this book. I don’t like her ex loser boyfriend because let’s face it he’s a jerk and deserves a swift kick. I love joke he’s so sweet and tries so hard to get her to like him.

Short but sweet

This is a simple YA story in which heartbroken Jules has decided to forget about guys & focus on school completely. So of course the hottest guy in school would sit next to her in math & turn out to be a total sweetheart.

The premise particularly amuses me because I met my future husband after I had broken up with a jerk of a boyfriend, & I've had quite a few friends tell me that they also found their match at a time in their life they weren't even interested in looking. So it's a real thing, lol.

This fun novella was perfect for passing the time while waiting for my kids between mom-taxi trips this afternoon.

*Clean romance level: sweet kisses

This is book one in the Brazos High Romance series and follows the story of Jules and Jake. Jake is the hottest guy in school and has girls flirting and trying to hook up with him at every step. But he has a huge secret, he has never actually had a girlfriend, ever! Everyone just thinks he has, as he is so popular and handsome! Jules was in a relationship last year, but just days before her sixteenth birthday, her boyfriend Trevor went to a summer party without her, due to her curfew, and obviously liked having time alone, to flirt or do whatever he wanted. As the very next morning, Jules was embarrassed to find out that he had broken up with her via Snap Chat! She spent her whole summer crying her eyes out and feeling heartbroken. She decided that her junior year was going to be completely boy free, to concentrate solely on her studies and no relationship woes to have to contend with.

That lasted until her first period of classes on the first day back, when she found herself sat next to Jake as his maths partner for the whole year. Their new maths teacher has a weird way of running his class and insists they work in pairs on all of their maths homework and class work. Nothing can be done alone and they must learn to work together and they will be marked as a pair, even for any exams. Jake feels attracted to this quiet girl, who doesn’t fawn all over him nor try to flirt with him all the time. She is a breath of fresh air and he wants to ask her out, but he has never done this before and isn’t confident on how to do it. He does however manage to get her mobile telephone number and also her Snap Chat name, all in the guise of their maths homework and the rules their teacher has set.

Jules keeps this fact quiet from even her best friend Abby, until she gets caught out when a message comes through on her phone, whilst she is spending time relaxing at her house. She tries to convince her friend that it is just about maths class, but when she blushes, it is obvious she has some feelings for him as well. Her previous experience with Trevor makes her want to keep her distance from anything similar. He invites her to a party at one of his soccer team’s house one night, and she meets him there, pretending that if he doesn’t pick her up, that it isn’t an actual date. When she is cornered by her ex, who suddenly says he made a mistake and wants to get back together, things start to fall apart. She leaves without telling him, after he saw her cosying up with another boy and he got jealous. She then pretends she had a headache, but gets a flat tyre on her way home and is caught out when he stops to help and finds her out.

Matters in class get difficult, as she tries to pull away from him and he wonders what he did wrong! Words need to be said and the air cleared, especially since they have to work together all year. As they try to change classes, a tornado warning hits and they are stuck in the counsellors office, hiding under a desk, until things clear. This gives them the perfect chance to talk to each other and to figure out what they both really want. Another simple and light hearted love story set in a high school, between two unlikely people. Each book in the series can be read in any order, as each tells the story of a different pair of young teens, but also has cross over of other people and friends, from family and high school, allowing you to get to know them. Sweet and innocent first true love kind of tale, for young adults, but nice to read for all ages! I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This is story of Jake and Jules and there highschool love story.

After getting dumped in the worst way over social media. Jules has decided she is absolutely Never gonna Date Ever Again. Her junior year of high school will be focused solely on her studies, and clubs she liked to join and she won’t look at a boy. Everything is going really well – until the first day of school when she’s paired up with the hottest guy she’s ever seen.

Jake a soccer player has an embarrassing secret: he’s never had a girlfriend even after being popular and rumoured about being a player he sweat to talk to girl or ask her for date. He couldn’t tell anyone his secret even if he wanted to, because no one would believe him.

Girls are intimidated by him or they think he must be a player. Whatever the case, he’s tired of being voted Hottest Guy at Brazos High and not having a girlfriend to prove it.

When Jules and Jake are paired up as math partners for the year by there teacher , Jake can’t shake the feeling that he should ask her out as he was instant crushing on her. But how can he get the courage when Jules is constantly giving off signals that she’s not into him. But later he asked her out after she came to meet him at home and babysit his little brother and then went for party and Trevor revelation. They decided to change maths class but tornado warning and being in one room changed them over night and they became the cutest couple of the Brazos high

Based on love in the math class!

**spoilers*** but not too many'!!

Okay, I liked this book. It was good! I know I am not going to write a long review since I got distracted before I even decided to do this with you because I was finished.

With that being said... it's funny how everyone treated Jake like a popular guy and someone special just because of his looks. & all he wanted was a girl who liked the person that he was on the inside and outside. He found that in Jules. Since he never had a girlfriend, which he admitted to Jules when that tornado warning happened when they were in school in the counselor's office.

I also had to laugh at the fact. Well, more so raise my eyebrow at how they both wanted to switch out of their math class because they couldn't take being around each other. But at least they both figured things out in the end and got together officially since they both liked each other.

I loved this story. It was a cute romance with great characters. The characters grew throughout the story. I loved how modest and mature they were. Jules was a great heroine who held her ground. Jake was like the perfect guy who was absolutely amazing. The plot was exciting and fun to read. The way they met was also such a cute meeting. This is a great story and probably my favourite in the story.

The story follows Jules and Jake. Jules has sworn off boys after being dumped over social media. They had had a relationship for almost a year and suddenly he claimed he was single. Jake is the “hottest guy” in school, named by his peers. While everyone thinks he’s a player, he’s never even had a girlfriend. Jake and Jules get partnered up in math class. Jake instantly likes Jules but Jules is wary because of her rule. Jake is sending all the signs he can but Jules just doesn’t come off interested. Will they get the love they both deserve?

I wrote this voluntary review in exchange for an ARC copy.

I really enjoyed this story! It was a fun, sweet read young adult read. Jules is starting a new year of high school after being dumped over snap chat at the end of last school year. Jules and Jake, the most popular guy in next, are partnered up for the year in their math class and have to work closely together on everything in the class. They get to know each other and become friends because of this. Jake and Jules are both drawn to each other but Jake doesn't know how to ask her out and she has sworn off boys so is trying to not crush on him at all. I thoroughly enjoyed the way that the story developed and the relationship built. It is a shorter read that pulled me in from beginning to end that I really enjoyed. I loved the characters and am excited to get more in the series.

The Square Root of Falling was amazing. It didn't feel like a novella (short, missing something), it felt like an entire book, in the best kind of way. The main characters, Jules and Jake, were personable and well described. The story, though short, felt complete. I am definitely not a writer and it shows here, but Amy Sparling did a fantastic job with The Square Root of Falling. That's the take away from my review. I would highly recommend The Square Root of Falling.

Let me say I don't think I hated two MCs fast enough. The heroine was all "I'm staying away from boys because I got dumped over Snapchat." The hero was all "I'm incredibly good looking and I have multiple groupies but I can't talk to them because I'm shy."

Give me a break. Fair warning I only made it to 12% and halfway through the second chapter. Who knows what would have been further into the book.

It’s ‘Acute’ Book

I crack myself up! But seriously it is a sweet high school romance. We’ve all had that crush that we are terrified for the other person to know about. The one where our brain is going on and on, but we just can’t get the courage to spit the words out...yeah that’s the one.

He is considered the hottest guy in school but he has yet to have a girlfriend. She is now among the brokenhearted and has sworn off guys. They are perfect for one another and their story was too cute. Just what I needed to start my holiday.

AHHHHHH AMOOOOO

Really quick read with some unbelievable elements (mostly that a 2 year old would have a nap at what I assume is around 6 at night, and the fact that a teenage girl’s parents are asleep while she’s out at a party). Clean read

This was a nice quick read. I like that Jake was a sweet guy. Jules was annoying but I forget how dramatic teens are at that age.
