From the moment Alauni saw Law Montgomery, she knew that she wanted him. But he was the one thing that she didn’t mess around with…he was a cop. Law doesn’t care about Alauni’s attempts to stay away from him. He knows what he wants, and given the way that her body responds to him, he’s pretty sure that he can get it. But his need for her goes beyond the physical. He sees Alauni in a way that she doesn’t even recognize. He knows her heart, and he’s determined to convince her that he can take care of it. But when he finally steps into her world, he soon realizes that it might be more than what he bargained for. What happens when it’s no longer just fun and games, and things get real? Will Law be able to handle the challenge and be all in? Or will Alauni give him every reason to walk away and never look back?
This is my third book by the author and I have enjoyed every single one.
This story follows Alauni & Law. I really enjoyed reading about these characters, although Alauni was a little difficult at first I really enjoyed it. This book brought real life issues and how people in real life situations would deal with these. Looking forward to reading more from the author.
Really good first read! This is my first book by this author and I loved it. Alauni and Law were frustrating at times but I understood their hesitancy. Their chemistry was off the charts and those intimate scenes were super sexy! Can’t wait wait to read more from this author.
Law and Alauni (great names by the way) are star crossed lovers. They run hot but it never seems to be the right time. From Law having a crazy ex-stalker to Alauni dealing with a jealous baby-daddy, they’re both due for a bit of happiness. The drama was realistic, especially as it related to the baby daddy, but I thought the ex-stalker was an unnecessary addition to the story. Nonetheless, the chemistry was real and the sex scenes were crazy hot. Add in meddling family and friends, and you’ve bit yourself an entertaining book.
Hadn't read anything from this author in a while, it was like coming home. I really enjoyed Alunai and Laws story. This story had crazy ex's every where. Alunai's crazy ex-boyfriend Latrell and his mama. Maxine someone Law went out with once or twice she was pass crazy, stalking people, showing up his mom's, becoming friends with his sister this is all after the break up. The author did a wonderful job developing all the characters. There were also a bit of humor and a lot of HOT SEX between the hero and the heroine.
Anything Goes had everything from crazy exes to laugh-out-loud moments to drool-worthy sex scenes. The story never bored me. Even when I thought I had an idea of what might come next, being wrong felt good and kept my interest. I loved every moment.
Alauni and Law's love story was a rollercoaster of feelings and emotions. They had a strong chemistry that was undeniable to them both. It was ironic or seem like a coincidence that Law quit being a police officer to become a tracking coach which was the same profession as Alauni. They both had to get rid of their demons from their past but they eventually overcame them.
I also love the personality of Keyon. I always love how authors give kids a role in the book with a voice. Keyon was straightforward, honest, and right out blunt with his statements. He was a good kid though especially that he was raised by a single mother.
Overall, great read. I recommend this book to a friend. I hope your next project is book 3 in the high tower series. I think the third sister should have a novel as well.
I enjoyed reading this book, it had great substance in relation to family, love and relationships. I love how Law & Aunlina reconnected although I thought that she was going to let her Ex Latrell ruin things for her. Law was strong g and loved hard, even when he had to deal with the Maxine situation Law handled his business, They need time a part thought each of them was hurting, but love and Keyon brought them back together. I really enjoyed how the families were portrayed, strong,. oving and supportive. First time reading a book by this author, but I would read smothering her
The coaches definitely have mad chemistry but life got in the way sometimes. Their pasts just wouldn't let them be great but glad things turned around. I absolutely loved Keyon and his antics but I loved his character even more. He took a lot just so his mom wouldn't have to worry or stress. I love that these people held their tongues because anyone got put in their place. I'm happy that Law and Alauna came to an understanding and that love prevails with the right person.
Alauni was a little freak like her parents. Law was her balance she needed to deal with latrell crazy self. I did want law to give him a good hit for popping up at her spot. I was hoping to get a baby out the two before it ended being there wasn't anymore talk of condom usage on the college run with keyon. Good book to read i hope to hear more of the couple in other books.
Law and Aluanj were so darn cute and stubborn! I literally had to putt phone down during some parts, bc they were being so stubborn! I’m yelling, “get it together, y’all!” at my phone. Lol.
Their exes were completely batsh*t crazy! Maxine and Latrell should’ve ended up with one another... they seemed perfect for each other.
And Tokyo and Reggie... LAWD! I couldn’t deal! I don’t want to spoil it, so just read it!
Okay, this book started off with Alauni doing her thang. She was confident , self assured and knew she wanted Law. Then she changed to me She allowed her ex to dictate her present. Law on the other had knew who he was and what he wanted. I couldn't believe he stuck around as long as he did with someone who was so indecisive . The chemistry between was firyah I must say !
A C never disappoints. This book was a great read. It had me wanting to get to the end but then again I wanted it to continue. This book deals with life's ups and downs with everyday normal people. It was amazing to see how it all played out. It truly is a standalone because many issues were resolved. A very nice story and I would enjoy a book on Law's Sister...I think she deserves a story as well.
It was really well written. I think the way Alauni dealt with her issues was the most aggravating part of the whole book. She rarely looked at herself as the problem, would’ve liked to see a character development there instead of the pointless make ups and break up. Also, the situation with Law’s ex was just thrown in there. It had this big build up but really no solution. Overall the book was eh.
I enjoyed reading from this author for the first time, definitely not my last. You never know when true love will find you as proven by these two coaches. From a law officer to high school coach, Law is reconnected to Alauni his lover turned coworkers. How far will they go to keep it professional or not. Good story line and sweet sexy romance.
I bought this book for free and I still want to return it
Hot. Mess. Like a Jerry springer episode transcribed into a book with poor editing to boot. Everybody just hooting and hollering and communicating like angry middle school kids instead of adults. 300 pages of "my baby daddy ain't no good and I'm going to let him keep me from the man I love cause I can't be serious for one second."
Alani was difficult for No reason when it came to Law! It says she was all these nice things, but not. One scene in this book showed it! She was mean towards the wrong people! I almost stopped reading! This book brought to my mind the many different times women of color was called angry, except for this time the book’s depiction was wrong and she was the angry black woman personified!!!
The cover was extra nice, and the couple, well...they took sexting to a whole new level of enjoyment. Both of their families had me cracking up. Keyon and the other teens made the story lively. Alauni and Law, that couple had me believing in their love story. The story was fresh, exciting and kept me turning pages. You need to try this one. It's a great story.
I enjoyed these characters and their interactions! I got some good laughs but I also rolled my eyes quite a bit. This duality of liking the characters and wanting to slap them make them feel real and authentic. I know it's a stand alone but I would really love to have another book with Keyon, he was hilarious...
I loved everything about this story! It was such a page turner that I couldn’t put it down. I literally read it in one day and that was around me working. Law and Alauni were so meant for each other. Every hurt and pain prepared them to be able to love one another. I need more of their journey!
Law and Alauni story was a really good read. But the back and forth was getting on my nerves. Alauni was really nerve wrecking at times. She acted like she was mad at the world most times. Law's mom was hilarious. I'm glad they got themselves together enough to move forward. I hope Tokyo gets her own story.
Alauni and Law were great characters who had dynamic self reflection and correction. The established connection between them was great as an opener. I could respect her for how she controls her life and what she wants to happen. Law was a very good Evolving Alpha type. Great characters, great writing and editing, great s.e x.. fun read.
This book was soo good!!!! Law was everything. Latrell was a straight f*ck boy smh. Maxine was crazy as hell. Alauni was skeptical which I understand especially with the mess Latrell put her through. I’m glad she finally let Law in and when he did boy oh boy did it lit up the pages. This authors work always leaves me in awe. Keep up the great job!!!!!
I enjoyed reading this book so much! This was my first time reading a book by A.C. Taylor and she didn't disappoint me at all! I enjoyed the love story between Alauni and Law! Their chemistry was off the charts! I will definitely be reading more books by this author!
To be honest i didnt like the book. Alauni seemed very immature and kinda annoying. I feel like the plot was building but then it deflated and the book was over and everyone was friends. It was really rushed and anticlimactic. I really wanted to stop reading in the middle. Law is a push over and acts like a lost puppy. The characters were boring.
The chemistry between Law and Alauni was serious. Both had some issues from their pasts that were threatening to keep them apart. Their parents were hilarious. There were definitely some lol moments as well as some real life issues going on, but I really enjoyed their story.
I really enjoyed reading this, I couldn't stop smiling. Alauni just seemed she couldn't stay committed to her feelings, like a roller coaster ride. The attraction between Law and Alauni was electrifying. Law was the Ideal man, honest, thoughtful and freaky:; gotta love him 😍 Thanks A.C. Taylor for a Great start of my weekend
The beginning was great. I loved the premise and tension in the story at first but then the rest of the back and forth between Alauni and Law seemed a little childish. Cool read, written well, good love scenes, but characters were a little immature and took way too long to get right.
